I know the story is finished but I’m adding an epilogue for good measure. And this will be in Octavia’s pov, enjoy

The End (epilogue)

After an exhausting day of practicing my cello and helping Rarity model some outfits, I finally made my way back home. I hope my friend Alto is doing alright, but I’ll worry about that later. Within a few minutes I arrived at my house and knocked. “Vinyl, it’s me.” I said, not being too loud. A moment later my marefriend opened the door with a smile and gave me a quick kiss.

‘I’m very glad you’re home, don’t worry I cleaned everything up and didn’t turn my music too loud.’ Vinyl mouthed. I smiled and went inside then closed the door. I then decided to relax on the couch since I was pretty tired. Vinyl gave me a smile and a raised eyebrow, which meant she wanted to know how my day went. And of course I was going to tell her, but only the parts with Rarity in it.

“Oh no darling that just won’t do, you simply must try this fabulous one on!” I said mimicking Rarity’s voice as I told Vinyl about my day. Of course Vinyl couldn’t help but giggle at how crazy it was. “So Vinyl, did anything happen recently while I was gone?” I asked curiously. Vinyl gave me a small nod.

‘Yeah Alto wanted to hang out with you but I told her that you left’ Vinyl mouthed. Ah I see, well I’ll have to visit to check up on her. And I pray to Celestia that nothing terrible happened.

“Thank you Vinyl, I’ll go see her immediately.” I said worriedly. Before I could though Vinyl used her magic and brought me some kind of drink. “Uh Vinyl what’s in that?” I asked.

She giggled and mouthed ‘Oh just something to keep you energized’. I had a bad feeling but decided to drink it anyway. I immediately felt more awake and alert, wow she wasn’t joking about being energized.

“Well Vinyl I’ll see you when I get back.” I said quickly giving her a kiss and went out the door. Within a few minutes I arrived at Alto’s house. I knocked on the door and waited for a while.

After about 15 minutes of waiting I got really worried and was thinking if I should just barge in or not. But then I started looking around, and I see a Pegasus stallion just passing by and decided to talk to him. “Um excuse me sir but have you seen my best friend? She lives here and isn’t answering the door.” I said with concern.

“Oh her? I saw a couple of cops taking her outside with cuffs, so she’s most likely arrested.” The stallion said. I couldn’t believe my ears, my best friend Alto has done something and now she’s in prison.

“Thank you very much sir.” I said respectfully and ran to the Manehattan police station. Oh dear I hope nothing too serious happened but I knew it was anything but serious.

After quite a while,I reached the place and opened the door while closing it behind me. There’s an earth pony mare officer by the desk talking to a unicorn stallion officer, so I decided to go to them.

“Oh Octavia, didn’t expect to see you here.” The stallion said surprisingly.

“Ah well you see one of my friends is in here apparently and I was just wondering if I could visit.” I said. Both of them seemed a little disturbed when I said so.

“Would your friend be Alto Harmonic?” The mare said disappointedly. I nervously nodded and both of them shook their heads. “Alright private you stay here, I’ll guide her.” She said. The stallion nodded and went back to work. Within 2 minutes, the mare and I stopped by a hallway. “She’s in the third cell to the right.” The mare said and walked away. As i went closely to the cell I heard Alto’s voice and somepony else's which sounded familiar. I decided to hide and eavesdrop.

“So Miss Polomare, do you mind telling me how you got here. If it’s not too much to ask.” Alto said nervously. Polomare? So it’s Suri, that’s a little surprising.

“Well let’s see… I attacked some mare at a bar a few weeks ago, I orchestrated a heist to steal an ancient artifact which I failed but somehow got away, and I was really really close to killing my whore of a rival Rarity.” Suri said callously.

“Oh that’s wow, that’s just crazy.” Alto said worriedly.

“Indeed, now it’s your turn. Tell me how somepony like you got here, because you don’t seem like the type.” Suri said curiously. This is it, I’m about to find out what my best friend did to deserve to be here.

“I um had my way with a filly, that’s pretty much it.” Alto said sadly. So that’s what my best friend did, took advantage of an innocent little filly. I’m a little angry and disgusted at my friend for doing such a thing, but she’s still my friend and I won’t look down on her for it much.

“Huh, well I must say you’ve got guts.” Suri said impressively. Well now I know what happened. I then went in front of their cell. Of course they quickly noticed me.

“Oh Octavia, I’m glad to see you. And you’ve probably figured out what happened too huh?” Alto asked sadly and I nodded. Suri just sat there relaxing.

“Ah Octavia, it has been a while since I’ve seen you. I hope your career is still doing well.” Suri said with little curiosity.

“Yes everything is still going well Suri. And yes Alto I know what happened, but no matter how angry and disgusted I am from it I’m still your best friend.” I said proudly. Alto gave me a small smile and a nod.

“Thank you Octavia I’m glad we’re still friends.” Alto said with some spirit. After that I quietly left and went home, then took some notes in my head to visit her from time to time.
