From Bumps and Bruises

Rainbow Dash perched from the highest cloud in the sky to see if she could accomplish her newest trick, the Color Boom. To do this she would have to dive down, curve up, go up to where she's be nearly frozen, then to dive down to make the sky the colors of the rainbow for the rest of the day. Rainbow Dash stretched her wings out then tested her feathers. Everything was in check. She got into her take off position, then dove towards the ground. Then she saw it. The tree. She tried to turn but it was too late. the branch hit her straight in the stomach while her wing scraped against the tree as she fell.

Rainbow Dash awoke to 4 faces staring down at her, Twilight's, Thunderlane's, Big Mac's and Caramels.
"Twilight, what happened? How am I here?" Rainbow Dash studied her right wing, it was all wrapped up.

"Thunderlane saw you fall and Caramel and Big Mac helped carry you here, then Dr.Firecracker took a look at your wing."

"Twilight, how long will I be grounded?" Rainbowdash held her breath.

"Till December." Twilight looked away.

"WHAT???!!! How could they say...?! So, 6 months?" Rainbow Dash tried moving her wing, it jolted a fiery pain throughout her body. Rainbow Dash winced,"So who's this Dr.Firecracker? Then a magical moment happened. The door opened to reveal a handsome stallion with a pale yellow coat and a flaming mane. He had nice blue eyes and was probably just out of highschool. "That would be me." Dr.Firecracker replied. "You will stay on the ground for 6 months, maybe even 8 or if you work it too much up to a year. You landed on your right wing as well as some of your ribs. you also suffered a minor concussion." Thunderlane looked at the Doctor,"So when can she leave the hospital?" he asked as he glanced at the sparkle eyed Rainbow Dash. "Now if she wants, she just can't fly."

"UUUGGGGHHHHH!!!" Rainbow Dash whined,"I am sooo bored!"

"Eeyup."

"You totally understand, right Big Mac?"

"Eeyup."

Big Mac was in charge of making sure she didn't use her wings, so that meant watching her 24/7. "Big Mac, can you get me my magazine bin over there in the corner?" Rainbow Dash couldn't fly up to her own home so she had to live in Big Macs house. When Big Mac brought over the bin she said,"I never knew you had your own house." Big Mac thought a bit," Well Ai have mah own house 'cause I don't like havin' to clean up mah sisters' messes, I can take care of mah self." Rainbow Dash thought,"Is it nice?" Big Mac looked at her,"I get's kinda lonely, but Ay always end up fine." he smiled. "Ai'm sorry I couldn't get any'r your friends to come. They all said they were busy." Rainbow sighed as she opened up a Wonder Bolts Weekly magazine,"Boorriinngg!" she tossed it aside,"Daily Pony Pop, Blech. Hey, whats this?" She brought out a magazine with Dr.Firecracker on the cover,"Why's the Doc in a magazine?" Big Mac shrugged his shoulders,
"I dun know. Ai guess he might've gotten ayn interview bah some pony."

"But why?

"Ay guess cause hes new. Pinkie Pie probably interviewed him."

"Oh." Rainbow Dash shuffled her hooves. "What time is it?" Big Mac looked at the clock near the kitchen. "Almost eyght. 'Bout time Thunderlane showed up." Rainbow Dash looked around, hungry.
"What's for dinner?" Rainbow Dash asked.

"Ai'm gonna make something like... Sandwiches. Then I'll make some apple fritters and salad."

"Really? 'Cause that's a big dinner."

"Ye haven't had anything ta eat all day, so Ai thought you'd want ta eat a good share."

"Thanks Big Mac." Then a blue and black streak flashed into the room. "Hey Rainbow Dash! You really can't fly?" Thunderlane looked at her wing,"Really hurts bad, huh?" Rainbow Dash nodded. She couldn't even bring the wing up from her side. "Dinner's ready!" Big Mac shouted from the kitchen.

Rainbow Dash could hear the steady breathing of Thunderlane at the other side of the room. She tiptoed across the room and up the stairs till she reached Big Macs room, it looked like he was asleep. "Watcha doing up late?" Big Mac said as he brought his head up from the pillow. "Uhhhh... Nothing really important, just, uh... getting a look around the house. Yeah! hehe." Big Mac got up,
"Rainbow Dash, go to sleep."

"I... Thank You, Big Mac. For... For everything. For taking me to the hospital, and for letting me stay here."

"Your welcome. Now go back on down stairs and go to sleep."
