Chapter 1: Sci-Twi’s Magical Experiment
Twilight, or Sci-Twi, as her new friends nicknamed her, was down in her basement. This wasn’t abnormal, as she used to always spend her Saturdays cooped up in the dimly lit room with nothing but her research and experiments to keep her busy. Luckily, she’d become more well-rounded since a certain fateful incident at Canterlot High, introducing her to many fabulous friends who worked diligently to pull her out of the basement and into the light. However, that didn’t mean the introvert stopped going into the basement altogether. She still needed breaks from social activity. However, this time was a peculiar blend of the two.
As Twilight typed at the computer, she checked her phone as, one by one, her friends all sent texts confirming they were on their way. All except Pinkie, who was delayed, but that wasn’t a big deal. Fluttershy was also busy all day, which was more disappointing, but the purple girl just had to make a mental note to tell everything to her yellow friend later. Finally, Twilight turned to her latest invention, the machine that looked like she’d stolen it from the 60s with all the electric tubes, the tesla coil, and all the blinking lights. She then grinned as her more modern computer read green across the board. “Yes, everything’s working,” she said with bubbling excitement.
There came a knock from the basement door as it opened.
“Twilight, darling. Are you down here?” Rarity asked as she poked her head of purple hair through the door crack.
“Pssh. Of course, she’s here,” scoffed Rainbow as she casually pushed Rarity aside and started marching down the stairs. “It’s Saturday. What, did you think we’d catch her in her room with a date?” she asked with a snorting chuckle.
Rarity huffed as she followed after Rainbow. She hated to enter without proper warning, but the damage had been done. “It’s only proper for a lady to ask.”
“Sorry, Twi,” Sunset said as she followed the bickering pair. “You didn’t answer the doorbell, so we let ourselves in.”
“‘N’ don’t worry,” Apple Jack added, tipping her Stetson. “Pinkie ain’t here yet, so no one’s gonna try raidin’ yer drawers.”
Twilight finally turned from her experiment to face her friends. “Yet, being the keyword there.”
“Honestly, I don’t know what’s gotten into that girl lately,” Rarity remarked.
“I keep telling ya. She’s hunting for dirty magazines,” Rainbow cut in. “She did the same with me. I only got her to stop by buying one just for her to find.”
“Ugh, so vulgar.”
“Yeah, sure. Like you don’t flick the bean, like the rest of us,” Rainbow teased.
“A lady does not ‘flick the bean’ like some common ruffian.”
“Yeah, Rainbow. Be reasonable,” Sunset cut in, trying to be the voice of reason. “Rarity’s a sophisticated girl who draws a hot bath with rose petals.”
“Yes, that’s precisely—Hey!” Rarity snapped.
“Who even keeps dirty magazines like that, anyway?” AJ asked. “Everyone uses the internet for that stuff these days.”
“On an unrelated note, is Fluttershy coming?” Sunset asked. “And what about Spike?”
“Oh, Spike’s getting dewormed at the vet, so he’ll be back tomorrow,” Twilight answered. “Fluttershy didn’t specify what she was doing, only that it would take all day. Anyway, what do you guys think?” She spun on her swivel chair and dramatically gestured at the sparking machine. “Pretty cool, huh?”
A thread of electricity climbed between the coils, only to discharge with a loud zap at reaching the top, startling everyone.
“Uh, Twilight,” Sunset nervously began. “That looks super dangerous.”
“You don’t even know what it is,” Twilight argued.
“Hmm, I’d say it has a more retro look,” appraised Rarity. “The design is sleek, compact, but radiates with an almost nostalgic energy. However, it also looks dangerous.”
Twilight deflated. “Come on, guys. It’s fine. I’ve been studying Equestrian magic, and I’m on the verge of a major breakthrough. If my calculations are correct, I will soon unlock the secrets of teleportation!”
“Tele-what-now?” AJ asked.
“Teleportation,” Sunset clarified. “Unicorns call it winking. It’s where we channel our magic to disappear from one spot and appear in another without physically traversing the distance.”
“Neat, but that kinda just sounds like an excuse not to walk anywhere,” assessed Rainbow. “You’ve already got little noodle legs as it is, so you don’t need an excuse to exercise less.”
“This isn’t about daily exercise,” Twilight insisted. “This is about revolutionizing transportation. Think about it. With teleportation, cars, boats, and even plains will be rendered obsolete. People can just teleport from one spot to another. Better yet, we can send goods to the other side of the planet in less time than it takes to finish this sentence,” she excitedly gushed, a little annoyed that her friends weren’t seeing the big picture.
AJ skeptically hummed. “Sounds like yer plannin’ ta put all the truck drivers out ‘f business.”
Twilight’s smile flattened. “Okay, so, maybe innovation of this scale will disrupt the status quo a little.”
“Twilight,” Rarity hummed. “I’m not much of a Scifi watcher, but even I know all the things that can go wrong with this stuff. How are you going to keep people from fusing with flies? Follow-up question on Fluttershy’s behalf: is there a way to safely fuse with something soft and cute, like a kitty?”
“The answer to both questions is testing,” Twilight assured, happy for her audience’s engagement. “I’m starting with sending small, inanimate objects over short distances. Then, I’ll slowly work my way up to bigger and longer things, and eventually graduate to something organic, like a slab of meat.” Twilight then asked Rainbow, “What’s so funny?”
The rainbow-headed girl slapped a hand over her snickering mouth. “Th-that you don’t know m-makes it even funnier-er.”
“Honestly, Twilight,” Rarity chided. “I hate to say it, but Rainbow is right. We need to get you out more so you can learn how to avoid such vulgar phrasing.”
“At least, Pinkie ain’t here,” AJ noted. “She’d probably give ya a crash course in dirty jokes, like it ‘r not.”
Zeroing in on the part she understood, Twilight checked her phone. “Yes, she said she was running late, but she didn’t say why.”
“I’d also like to add that winking is a high-tier spell,” Sunset informed. “You have to practice for months for a test that most ponies don’t pass until their third try.”
“Come on, Sunset,” Twilight whined. “With your instruction, I’ve already had so many successes. Remember how I boiled that egg?”
“It turned to ash.”
“I meant the fifth time.”
“Or how about when you brought that dress to life,” reminded a scowling Rainbow.
Rarity swooned. “It put itself on Rainbow and forced her to dance the tango. Oh, it was lovely.”
“Eh, it was kinda cute,” AJ added to Rainbow’s annoyance.
“The point is that I’ve had more successes than failures, and I’m ready to move onto the next step. Look.” Twilight gestured at a pair of cylindrical glass containers with metal casings. “I’ve already teleported a penny point two meters away with no apparent damage.” She then held up the coin for emphasis.
Sunset stepped forward to examine it. “Uh, okay. That’s actually part of the practice procedure. So, good job,” she praised. “Well, it looks like you’re following safety protocols, so I guess it’s fine.”
“Is that what you wanted to show us? An already-teleported penny?” Rainbow asked. “Lame.”
“Not at all,” Twilight assured. “I actually hoped I could get your help. See, so far, I’ve been using ambient magic in the air as a power source, but that’s not too efficient. So I was hoping that you guys could lend me some of your magic.”
“Twilight,” Sunset began to chide.
“I just need a smidge,” Twilight insisted. “Like, as much as you’d use to levitate a penny over a meter. My machines work off of an evolving algorithm, so it’s designed to adapt as it’s exposed to new variables. Once the algorithm gets a taste of what real magic can do, it’ll be able to learn to achieve the same result with the limited ambient magic. Trust me; it makes sense.”
All eyes turned to Sunset, who answered, “It kinda does, actually. Whoa, so you put this together all on your own?”
“Sort of. This beauty is the result of years of trial and error, not to mention advice from my favorite study buddy,” Twilight added while averting her gaze and blushing.
Sunset’s cheeks also tinted red. After so long away from Equestria, it had been wonderful to talk magic with someone who actually got it. Plus, Twilight was pretty fun to hang out with. Sunset brushed some hair from her face as she said, “Well, so long as it’s just a smidge.”
“Ya sure, sugar cube?” AJ inquired.
“It’ll be fine,” Sunset assured. “I have the most experience using magic, so I can turn it off if anything goes wrong.”
“Yes, my thoughts, exactly,” Twilight confirmed. She then turned to the others and added, “You guys are here to witness my greatness. Afterward, we can go out for shopping and milkshakes.”
“You see, darling, that is what we call burying the lead,” Rarity instructed. “Next time, mention that part first.”
With that, Twilight made the last-minute adjustments to her machine, ensuring everything was in place for the experiment. “Alright, we’re good,” she said while typing away. “Now, pull ze switch!” She threw her arm up in a dramatic flourish while the others chuckled at their dorky friend’s antics.
Sunset smiled as she closed her eyes and focused. It took a lot more effort to channel magic in her human form. However, like Twilight, lots of trial and error had left her pretty proud of her proficiency. Measuring what she thought was less than the minimum necessary for the intended feat, she extended her hand and channeled the magic into the machine. The engine began whirring with newfound life as the lights lit up.
“Yes, it’s working,” Twilight said, her pulse racing as all the charts read green. “Just, maybe, another half-watt should do.”
Sunset nodded and again gave slightly less than the minimum. The last thing she wanted was to overcharge things and fry Twilight’s life’s work. The cylinders began glowing with the same green hue as Sunset’s eyes. All appeared well. Then, an alarm sounded.
“Oh, no! Wh-what’s…” Twilight trailed off as error messages popped up and blanketed her screen. “Sunset, stop!”
“I… can’t!” Sunset screamed, trying to cut off the magic. “S-something’s, ugh, pulling… me… Gah! Does anyone have a tennis ball?”
“What good would that do?” demanded Rarity.
“Screw it! Jus’ pull ‘er!” AJ wrapped her bulky arms around Sunset’s middle with no regard for the girl’s modesty. The freakishly strong farm girl pulled with all her might, but the former bully wouldn’t budge.
Not needing to be told, Rarity and Rainbow also threw themselves at their friend. Unfortunately, all three focused so hard on the physical strain that they didn’t notice the girl’s glow was intensifying. Nor did they notice the faintly warm tingle building in their chests.
“Agh! Now what?” Twilight screamed. “Even more power’s going into the… wait.” She turned to see her four friends now sporting glowing ears and tails. As an explanation finally clicked in her head, she only had time for two final words. “Oh, crap!”
Then there was a bright flash that engulfed the whole basement.
Chapter 2: Twilight Shrank Us?
Everyone’s ears rang as if from a mighty explosion. Their vision was also blurred, able to see nothing but dim light and broad shapes. Each of the girls fumbled about in their slightly stunned states. Most tripped over the uneven floor.
“…wi! …wi!”
Twilight heard the distant voices and tried to call back. “Hello?” Her voice sounded just as muffled and far away. “Hello. Sunset? Girls? Anyone.”
“…wi! … Twi! Twilight, darling! Can you hear me?”
“Rarity, yes. I hear you, but I can’t see. Where are you?”
“Twilight, you’ve got to fix this, quick,” Rarity whined. “I *sniffle* think I might be n-naked!”
“Is that what you’re worried about?” Rainbow asked, also noting a faint chill on her bare skin. “I’m half-blind and—Oof! I keep tripping on this—I don’t even know what. Are we in some kind of blanket dimension? Cuz I think I keep tripping on one.”
“Everyone, remain calm,” Sunset assured. “Our vision should return shortly, just like our hearing.”
“Sunset, please tell me ya know what’s goin’ on,” AJ called before grunting in pain. “‘N’ tell me there ain’t actually a blanket dimension.”
“No. Well, not that I’m aware of. Look, let’s retrace our steps to figure out what happened,” Sunset instructed as the group’s de-facto leader. “I remember something draining my magic. I was deliberately putting in below the minimum to avoid overdoing things, but… I’m not sure. Something just started pulling.”
“Ah think Ah started ta feel that, too,” AJ confirmed. “Right after Ah grabbed ya, it suddenly felt like Ah was bein’ drained.”
“Yeah, it was like I suddenly ran ten laps around the track every few seconds,” Rainbow added. “Also, yeah, I’m naked, too.”
“Twilight, did the computer say anything?” asked Sunset.
“Nothing definitive, but I think I have a theory,” Twilight replied as she blindly stepped toward the other voices, sounding suspiciously distant and far below. “I looked at you guys, and you were glowing with Equestrian magic. Ears, tails, wings, and everything. It may be that your proximity to Sunset confused the machine, so it took more than it should have. I think it may have—Ugh!”
*Thud*
“Ya alright, sugar cube?”
“I ran into something,” Twilight reported as she reached out to touch what she’d run into. “Um, it’s hard, cool… It kind of feels like glass, with… with a plastic rim.” After feeling out more, she added, “Uh, girls, not to alarm you, but I think I’m touching a giant pair of glasses.”
“Twilight, we’re naked and trapped in some bizarre fabric dimension,” Rarity ranted while rubbing her shoulders for warmth. “Honestly, under better circumstances, that might be rather enjoyable, but right now, it’s quite upsetting. What precisely is so alarming about a pair of giant glasses?”
“B-because I think they’re mine,” Twilight answered. After that, all went deathly silent, save for the steady and familiar whirring of the machine.
“Ya wanna clarify that, Twi?” Rainbow warily requested.
“The glasses. They have the same damage marks and tape as mine. I’ve been meaning to get a new pair, but I’m pretty sure that these are just a larger version of mine. Also, I’m now feeling out the fabric floor, and it smells an awful lot like when I spend so much time working that I forget to change clothes.”
“Honestly, Twilight!” Rarity chided.
“Uh, can confirm,” AJ fretfully added. “Ah worked up a decent sweat doin’ chores this mornin’, ‘n’ this stuff smell jus’ like me.”
“Well, my floor does have the same perfume I picked out this morning,” Rarity admitted. “Also, the material has the same silky softness as the blouse I picked out.” She audibly swallowed. “Twilight, I’m almost afraid to ask, but—”
“Did you shrink us?” Rainbow blurted.
Slowly but surely, the blurs solidified as everyone’s vision returned. The girls were able to see their hands in front of their faces and then their bosoms below their chins. Finally, after several excruciatingly long seconds, the girls beheld their surroundings. They were still in Twilight’s laboratory basement. Everything was how they’d left it before the experiment, except for their clothes lying limp around them and how everything had grown gigantic.
“Uh, my working theory would be: yes,” Twilight admitted, hands over her purple chest as she looked over the side of her swivel seat.
“Dang it, Twi!” AJ barked, hands over her chest and crotch. Although, little could be done to conceal her thick, golden bush. “This is not how Ah wanted ta spend mah afternoon.”
“Yeah, Twi,” agreed Rainbow, immodestly not covering herself. “You need to at least set up a safe word when doing this stuff.”
“Rainbow!” AJ snapped.
“What? You’re the one who told me to—”
“Not. Now,” AJ replied through clenched teeth. She made sure to fully face her blue (secret) friend with benefits, not wanting the perverted athlete to try anything. “Sunset. Twi. Yer the magic experts here. Got any thoughts?”
Like Rainbow, Sunset did nothing to cover her feminine physique. Even so, she folded her arms and began pacing in thought. “I’m not sure. This reaction is unprecedented when it comes to winking. Honestly, winking is more at the lower end of high-tier spells. Size changing is up on the upper end, so… Wait, our Equestrian forms!” she realized. “That must have been it. The machine pulled on the magic left in us by the Elements of Harmony. That explains where the extra power came from, but I have no idea about the rest. Twilight?”
“It all happened so fast. I couldn’t keep up with all the errors,” Twilight bemoaned. “Oh, this was such a bad idea.”
“Twilight, no,” Sunset authoritatively cut in. “It was a good idea. You planned out everything just like a real unicorn would. Honestly, in your position, I’d have probably made the same mistake.”
“Wait, does that mean neither of you knows how to fix this?” Rainbow asked. “And what the heck are you doing over there?”
“I’m trying to straighten out my clothes to avoid wrinkles, darling,” Rarity said from all fours, never looking up as she focused on her task.
“Rars, we don’t have time fer this,” AJ chided. “We need ta—”
“Darling!” Rarity barked, silencing the farmer. “I am two inches tall, naked, my clothes are a mess, and it doesn’t sound like the experts know how to fix those first two things. So, kindly leave me to fix the one thing I can control”—she sweetly requested, only for her voice to turn deep and beastly—“or I will end you!”
AJ flinched back from her friend’s outburst, only to jump when someone touched her shoulder.
“Rarity stress sews,” Rainbow reminded, getting a little too close into her orange friend’s personal space. “She can’t sew, so she’s folding. It’s probably best to let her process things her own way. Ya know, unless you want to lose a finger.” She gestured at her growling white friend with one hand while her other migrated south over her orange friend’s back.
AJ narrowed her eyes on the shorter athlete. “Best mind where yer touchin’, unless ya wanna lose more ‘an a finger.”
Rainbow’s hand stopped in place, but she gave a cheeky grin. “That depends. Where would I lose it?”
“Girls, I can see my computer from here,” Twilight informed. “It’s in standby mode. If I can reach the keyboard, I might be able to figure out what happened to us and reverse it.”
“Alright, good idea,” AJ approved while staring from the chair to the desk and screen. “Jus’ one thing. How, pray tell, are ya gonna climb up what looks like a miniature skyscraper?”
“Uh, I don’t know.”
“Wait, I’ve got an idea,” Sunset spoke up. “Twilight, it looks like your panties are on the floor.”
Rainbow whistled, earning a hip-check from AJ.
“If we bunch them together, and you climb down your skirt, it should be a safe fall. Afterward, I think I see a way we can climb up your desk.”
“I… okay,” Twilight allowed, not having any better ideas. Her skirt was partially hanging over the side, but she had nothing with which to weigh it down. Her only hope was that her weight was sufficiently negligible. So, after sucking in a steadying breath, she went to the edge and looked down to watch her friends. The girl blushed as she saw everyone’s naked bodies surrounding her pink-striped panties. “Uh, this wasn’t how I imagined my first time with someone touching my underwear would be,” she said, hoping to defuse the tension.
“That’s not what we’re doing,” Rarity countered as she worked with the others to fold the garment. “We’re folding a blanket. Yes, that’s right. It’s just an ordinary blanket, free of any unusual odors, and there’s nothing weird about this at all.”
“Is she alright?” AJ asked.
Rainbow shrugged. “I got the folding thing. This, uh, might be an issue.”
“It’s alright,” Sunset informed. “So long as we work together and get the job done, everything will be back to normal in no time.”
Rainbow nodded. “Right. Normal, as in, how it’s normal we’ve all seen each other’s tits, ass, and coochies.”
“Rainbow!” AJ snapped.
“If it makes you feel better, I honestly don’t care,” Sunset chimed in. “Ponies go around naked all the time. It’s impossible to get through the day without glimpsing what’s between somepony’s legs at least a few times. So I really don’t get what the big deal is with humans and nudity.”
“Sunset, darling. Unlike ponies, humans lack fur,” Rarity began. They’d finished folding the garment into the sufficiently thick cushion and moved it into position. “Our early ancestors wore animal hides, so we didn’t freeze in the winter. Over time, what started as purely functional evolved into something fashionable. Caring for your clothes became a demonstration of self-respect and status.”
“Yeah, that part makes sense,” Sunset confirmed. “Alright, Twi. We’re ready.” She then resumed facing Rarity. “But why do you get so weird about people seeing you naked, though?”
“Uh, okay. I-I’m coming down,” Twilight informed as she carefully gripped her skirt and slowly swung her legs over the seat’s side. She held on for dear life, clinging with both her hands and knees and making for slow progress.
“What can I say? Humans are dumb,” Rainbow added as she watched Twilight, ready to move the panty cushion at a moment’s notice. “All it takes is a quick look at some cute piece of ass, and we get all horny. It’s actually kinda fun when you think about it.”

“Sure. I’m about done with my current book, so recommend me some titles, and we can chat at lunch.”
Rarity blinked at Rainbow’s forthright response, causing AJ to snicker.
“Hehe, she got ya.”
“C-can we talk about something else?” Twilight begged as she scaled down her skirt. “This is, uh, m-making it a little h-hard to hold on.”
“What, are your boobs getting in the way?” Rainbow jokingly asked. “Twi, if you fall, and your hard nipples poke someone’s eye out, I swear by all that’s holy that I will never let you live that down.”
“It, uh, i-it’s actually making my hands a little s-sweat—y!” Twilight screamed as she lost her grip and fell backward.
There was a brief panic as everyone lifted their makeshift catcher and tried to line up everything. Luckily, Twilight fell squarely in the middle of her panties, bouncing a short distance before landing with a thud on her bacon-haired friend.
“Ugh. Hey, you okay?” Sunset grunted as she held Twilight in her arms. She felt the purple girl shift and breathe as their bare bodies brushed together. Twilight’s skin was smooth and warm, and her breasts felt oddly pleasant as they pressed into Sunset’s belly. Yet, at the same time, Sunset wondered what purple her friend thought of her orange breasts as her head lay atop them like pillows. Did it suddenly get warm in here?
Twilight’s accelerating pulse slowed as she acclimated to the stable ground and Sunset’s warmth. She was still in a frightened state and clung to the other girl for safety. Sunset just felt so lovely as Twilight nuzzled her. “Mmh, you smell nice,” she said without thinking.
“Uh, thanks?” Sunset replied, now feeling even warmer. Nudity was one thing, but complimenting someone’s smell was something ponies almost never did outside of flirting. And rubbing together like this, well, elicited certain involuntary reactions.
Rainbow whistled. “Second base already? You two move fast.”
“Rainbow!” Rarity chided.
“What? We were all thinking it.”
“It’s true. Ah was,” confirmed AJ as she smirked at the pair.
Eventually, Twilight realized they had an audience and decoupled from Sunset. The two girls stood apart and awkwardly avoided eye contact. “So, uh…”
“Yeah,” Sunset agreed.
So, now that they’d established all the essential details, the awkward young ladies headed for the desk. Luckily, there were a bunch of wires with rough textures for them to climb. Unfortunately, doing so meant that everyone had a clear view of the spread ass of the person in front of them. And not to name any names, but everyone agreed that Rainbow should take the lead. Finally, everyone arrived atop the desk and pretended no one was blushing from what they’d witnessed. After all, aside from Rainbow, none of them were so immature to give in to temptation just to satisfy their baser desires.
That’s when Twilight ran ahead to her computer. “Okay, let’s see here. Um, Sunset, it looks like you were consistently giving less magic than required.”
“Yeah. I thought it’d be safer not to give enough than too much.”
“Well, if I’m reading this right, it looks like the algorithm tried to correct the mistake. And when the rest of you got involved, it detected your innate magic, and things just cascaded out of control.”
Sunset sighed and set her hands on her hips. “Well, this isn’t the worst thing that can happen with a teleportation accident.”
“Please, don’t explain,” Rarity pleaded.
“Okay, I think I’ve got something,” Twilight said as she ran from one end of the keyboard to the other to push buttons. “It looks like all of that extra power is still stored. If I recalibrate the settings like this, we should be able to reverse the process.”
“Should?” AJ questioned.
“Alternatively, we could just sit here, wait for someone to find us, and go to the other expert on blending science and magic to fix things,” Sunset offered.
AJ popped her lips. “Fair point.”
“Okay, that should do it,” Twilight assessed. “Sunset, I’ll need you to reconnect your magic with the machine while everyone else gathers around you. That should put us back to normal.”
“So, just because I’ve got naturally rainbow hair, you think I’m just gonna roll over and hold onto a bunch of naked hot chicks?” Rainbow asked. “Cuz I will.”
“Let’s just get this over with.” Sunset got into position as the girls wrapped their arms around her. It was hard to ignore how the room’s cold temperature had hardened their nipples as they stabbed into her skin. AJ had the biggest set of milkers, which seemed fitting for the farm girl. Rarity’s breasts were similar to Twilight’s, but much softer. Rainbow had slightly more than what might be called a boy’s chest, but they still felt nice against Sunset’s body. The former pony uncomfortably shifted as she reflected on how she’d never devoted so much thought to human breasts. As a pony, she always considered herself more of a plot lover. Then again, looking around, it looked like everyone also had a nice pair of cheeks.
“When you’re ready,” Twilight informed as she hovered over the enter key.
Sunset snapped to attention and reached out for the machine with the thinnest magical strand she could form. “Ready.” At her word, Twilight pressed the key and ran to join in the naked group hug. At first, everything seemed to go well. The machine rebuilt its charge and whirred back to full activity. Everything on the screen was green, and even when everyone started glowing, there was a rightness to it all. Then, a wave of error messages once more blanketed the screen, and Sunset was pretty sure that she saw a winking smiley face in the code. That’s when another flash took them all.

“Gah!” Twilight gasped as she came up for air in the freezing cold liquid. Everything was dark, but there was no momentary deafness from before. “Wh-where are we?”
“Pleh. It’s milk!” Rainbow spat. “Is everyone else in milk?”

“Oh, no,” Sunset realized in horror as she felt the plastic wall. “We’re in milk…”

“No, I mean, if we’re in milk, that means we must be in someone’s fridge!”
“How in tarnation did that happen!?” AJ demanded.
“I-I’m so sorry,” Twilight wept. “Th-this wasn’t supposed to happen.”
No one said anything as the purple girl cried. It was dark, but not for any fault on their eyes, which quickly adjusted. Once everyone could discern where the others were, they all swam toward one another. It was tricky to constantly kick to stay afloat, but they managed to huddle for warmth.
“Twilight, it’s okay,” Sunset assured.
“No, it’s not!” snapped the purple girl. “This is all my fault. If I never made that stupid machine or that stupid algorithm, none of this would have happened.”
“Twi, do you have any idea how many bones I’ve broken?” Rainbow asked.
“Wh-what?” Twilight stammered.
“Between hairline fractures and full breaks, I’ve damaged my bones almost a hundred times in my short life,” Rainbow informed. “And that’s not even counting all the torn muscles. And it all happened during big matches, or training, or really anything sports-related. Now I could—”
“Rainbow,” Twilight sorrowfully cut in. “I get what you’re trying to say, but this is different. You did what you love, even if it hurt you. But I was playing with powers beyond my understanding, and all of you are paying the price for it. Th-there’s no excuse.”
“Ah agree,” AJ spoke up. “Ain’t nothin’s gonna get done by throwin’ out excuses. Instead, focus on solutions. We’ve been through worse scrapes, right?”
“Apple Jack is right,” Rarity agreed. “We won’t get anywhere by feeling sorry for ourselves. If we put our heads together, I’m sure we can find a solution.”
“Right, ‘n’ when we’re all back to normal, we can kick Twilight’s ass ‘til she learns her lesson,” AJ declared.
“Well, that much goes without saying, darling,” confirmed Rarity. “Also, this might just be hypothermia talking, but is anyone else not feeling so cold?”
Twilight felt immeasurable relief at her friends’ words. Even their vow to kick her ass was reassuring, because it implied that they’d forgive her afterward, and she wouldn’t go back to being alone. First, however, Rarity made a good point. “Hey, you’re right. It’s cold, but… but our bodies aren’t reacting like they should under these circumstances.”
“Is that good or bad?” AJ asked.
“In this case, good,” Sunset answered. “It’s still easy to move, and you guys are still putting off the same amount of heat. Got any thoughts, Twilight?”
“Yes, actually. I didn’t mention it before, but my readings indicated that our bodies changed in more than just size. To make a long story short, we’re far more durable than before, which I suppose extends to extreme temperature tolerance. Also, I think we can hold our breaths for longer, which is helpful, given present circumstances.”
“Alright,” Sunset said, trying to keep optimistic. “It sounds like we’re not in immediate danger, but that’s no excuse for slacking. If we want to teach Twilight a lesson, we’ll need to work together to get out of here. Any thoughts?”
“Uh, can we drink all the milk and then push the empty carton over?”
“Sorry, but we’d just pee it back out before then, and I’m not swimming in pee,” Sunset countered.
“Definitely not,” agreed Rarity. “I hate simply waiting, but someone has to open the fridge door at some point. We can get their attention and hope for the best.”
“That depends on whose fridge we’re in,” Twilight informed. “If it’s mine, then my brother should be home in less than an hour.” Her face then heated up as she imagined her secret first crush seeing her in this state.
“Wait, why wouldn’t it be yer fridge?” AJ asked.
“Because we teleported randomly,” Twilight answered. “There was no reason to end up in this spot instead of another. It was all chance. Our best hope is that the machine didn’t have enough power to send us too far away, and whoever finds us will be a friend from school.”
“Uh, Ah wouldn’t exactly call Trixie a friend,” AJ stated. “She seems like the sort who’d take pictures fer blackmail.”
“That shouldn’t be a problem, darling,” Rarity assured. “Whoever it is, we can just play along, appeal to their ego, and wait for a chance to either trick them or escape. Then, once we’re back to normal, if they did anything untoward, we can just ensure that it was the last thing they’ll ever do.” Her cheerful tone barely concealed the demon lying beneath the surface.
“Wait, I hear something,” hushed Rainbow as everyone went silent. There was definitely a muffled voice from outside. Suddenly the fridge door opened, and light streamed in.
“—are you guys?” Pinkie asked in annoyance, phone to her ear. “I know I’m late, that that’s no excuse to ghost me.”
“Pinkie! Oh, thank goodness!” Twilight exclaimed as she and the others started shouting and waving their hands to get her attention. But, unfortunately, the milk carton’s label must have blocked the pink girl’s view.
Finally, Pinkie rolled her eyes and pocketed her phone. “Twilight, are you there?” she called into the empty house. “I ran all the way here, so I’m gonna grab a drink, okay.”
“Sweet Celestia, no,” Sunset whispered in muted horror.
“What is it?” Twilight asked.
“P-Pinkie drinks s-straight from the c-carton.”
“Oh, my science,” Twilight gasped.
Pinkie was truly tired from all that running. She tried to wrap up her work with the Cakes as quickly as possible, but the journey here left her knees achey and her dogs barking. After scanning the fridge’s contents, she zeroed in on what looked most appealing. “Ah, milk. Nothing like some good ol’ vitamin D, aye, girls?” she asked down at her boobs. However, the others were already doing that. The dark pink cavern at the carton’s far end was motivation enough for everyone to beat their limbs faster than ever before. Unfortunately, with gravity aiding the current as the carton tilted ever further, the odds were not in their favor.
Rarity went first. She and Twilight were the least athletic, but she happened to be closer to the carton’s opening. Worse, each time the girl tried to open her mouth to call out to her friend, she’d gag on a mouthful of milk. Finally, she tumbled back into the undulating pink cavern. The farmer tried to fight it, but the pain slowed her down just enough. She then looked at the carton’s opening. It wasn’t too big. If she timed it right, she could grab the edges and hold on. Pinkie might finally notice, and she’d save the others from meeting Rarity’s fate. Pinkie gave another hearty swallow as an extra-large chunk went down her throat. “Man, what is up with this stuff?” On a whim, she decided to peak through the opening to investigate. However, just then, her phone buzzed. “Oh, who is it?” She used one hand to check. “Fluttershy? Why are you texting me that you can’t come?” It was now critically important for Pinkie to text and see what was up. So, she stared at her phone as she chugged the last of the milk.
Twilight and Sunset held each other tightly as the sloshing white liquid pulled them ever downward. They’d just watched all their friends fall down and disappear into that dark abyss, and their strength had given out. They closed their eyes and pressed their faces together to ensure they wouldn’t see. They fell past the opening, but briefly paused within Pinkie’s maw. “Don’t go toying with my heart, darling,” warned Rarity. “Things are bad enough without false hope.”
“It’s not false. It’s completely… plausible,” Twilight hesitantly added. “I didn’t look at those figures too closely, but the general idea was that our bodies are significantly more durable in this shrunken state. I might not have needed that panty cushion to survive falling from my chair. And, while I’m not one hundred percent, I’m reasonably sure that our bodies should be strong against digestion.”
“Well”—Rarity sniffled—“I suppose that’s better than nothing. I’d rather be stuck here forever than be digested.”

“Well, if anyone would reach such an absurd conclusion, it’d be Pinkie,” Rarity reasoned.
“Point made, point taken…” AJ acquiesced. The tall farmer then did her best to stand within the confined space and started slamming her fists against the stomach walls. “Hey, Pinkie! Let us out!”
