Liam Webb was not an overachiever.

He wasn't brave. He didn't like poking his nose where it didn't belong, he didn't make noise and didn't grab for attention. Middling grades, average test scores, slightly above-average IQ... it didn't make sense that the SCP Foundation reached out to him. It didn't make sense that he accepted the position. Research for a clandestine organization devoted to the containment of world-ending anomalies and combating forces of destruction on a regular basis? It didn't line up, at least, not to him.

It didn't make sense that he escaped the end of the world when his colleagues and peers didn't. They were qualified, they were meant for this work... he was a glorified intern.

Now? Liam Webb is the sole survivor of a world destroyed, the one human in a strange world populated by a society of intelligent equines. A stranger, a mystery, and a possible threat...

I can only hope that it doesn't follow me.

This tale is set in an alternate universe Equestria, where government and society have some significant and insignificant changes from canon, hence the tag. Many characters featured on the show may make appearances in manners considered out-of-character due to these conditions. There are also light mentions of RGRE, but it has little-to-no impact on the story and is just flavor-text.
