Epilogue.

The week went by much faster than Ben, or his new friends had expected, but at least he had fun, and Nightlight could see that Ben felt inspired, he felt reinvigorated, ready to take on anything that came at him. The rest of the week was kinda dull for Ben, just being in bed all day as he tried to heal, but his new friends weren't gonna leave him hanging like that, so they figured they'd all take a turn with having a day with the human hero.

The 2nd day went to Fluttershy, who was willing to show off her talent for communicating and understanding animals, but for Ben, it helped explain how Fluttershy could understand him when he was Beelzebeast. Fluttershy shared more about her interests and her hobbies, and the both had a knack for reading, though Ben was more of a comic book guy, and less of a 'boring' literature guy, and Fluttershy was fine with that, she still had a fun time with Ben. He didn't know what it was about Fluttershy, but she was just so nice, so kind, it made him feel warm inside. If his arms weren't sore, he would've hugged Fluttershy with what little strength he had.

The 3rd day belonged to Rarity, who had a knack for identifying gems and had a real eye for fashion. She was just a kid, but she still knew how to properly make clothes, and for a first time attempt at making human clothes, Rarity did pretty well, an exact replica of Ben's usual outfit, minus the tears and red stains, though she got the colors on his shirt wrong, cause now it was a black t-shirt with a white stripe. He didn't mind it, it looked much better, easier on the eyes. Ben told Rarity about one of his forms that he called Gemstone, and while he didn't have the strength to show off what he could do, he explained in specific detail that Gemstone was made of a crystal that had the colors of a diamond, but he betted that his crystals would be worth many times more than just some diamond. Rarity officially had a favorite form, but she still loved talking with Ben as himself, it was refreshing to see such a wayward soul still be so relaxed and chill.

The 4th day was Applejack and Mac's day, who showed off a cool little trick of their own. Applejack had a hoof full of soil, and Mac planted a seed in that soil, and with a bit of concentration, the seed was growing at a much faster rate. Ben had never seen such a thing done in person before, and it just made him really intrigued to see what else an Earth Pony could do. Applejack educated Ben on what her and Mac usually did every day, which was farm apples, work on chores on the farm, go to sleep, and repeat everything, but that day was the most action-packed thing to have ever been experienced, and Mac was still being very thankful for Ben saving his hide. Ben learned a lot, and even found a new kind of respect for hard-working farmers in towns like Ponyville.

The 5th day belonged to the party loving filly herself, Pinkie. She threw two parties at once. One to welcome Ben to Ponyville, and another for saving Mac. Ben learned the most about Pinkie. Her birthday, her family, her life before she came to Ponyville, and even remembered how she wanted to know all about him for future reference regarding his earlier Pinkie Promise. Ben only told her as much as he remembered, which wasn't much, but it was helpful to go off of. Pinkie made more of those brownies that Chiffon made and happily helped Ben eat them. Ben slept good that night, knowing he was full, he had fun at two parties at once, and Pinkie was the first pony he met around his age that made him feel a little happier.

The 6th day was all about Dash. She wanted to know what the watch was, how many forms could Ben turn into, which one was the fastest, which one looked the coolest, and other stuff that Ben wasn't expecting. He happily answered her questions, saying he knew nothing about the watch or its origins, other than it was his and his alone, he could become twelve aliens at the moment, Speed Demon was his fastest alien, but to him, Fourest Fighter looked the coolest. Dash talked a lot about how she wants to be the best flyer in Equestria, and Ben could respect that goal, he always wanted to be the best Hero in Equestria, it's why he thinks that he has the watch in the first place. After a little bit of wondering and talking and genuinely having a good time, Dash left that night and Ben was just glad he finally found a group of ponies that kinda understood him.

The 7th day was a big gathering of Ben's new friends and how each one was gonna miss him. Rarity kept herself composed, but still shed a few tears. Fluttershy just wished him luck on being a hero, and to also be careful. Dash told him that if he ever meets a real strong dude that's a bad guy, bop him extra hard for her. Ben would keep that promise. Pinkie reminded Ben to always remember his Pinkie Promise, and Ben made a mental note of that. Applejack and Mac packed up a couple sacks of apples for Ben and Nightlight to take back to Canterlot, something to remember them by and to stave off those bit hungry crooks in Canterlot. Soon enough, Ben was magicked onto his father's back and the ponies walked by his side as he pinkie promised to come back someday, and that he'd keep his pinkie promise.

The ponies watched as the train to Canterlot chugged along with Ben inside, on his way back home.

"Think he'll keep his promise?" Pinkie asked with a sad smile.

"Don't worry, Pinkie, I know for a fact that he'll keep his promise... I am sure of it." Applejack said.

[???]

"So... any luck with trying to talk to Ben Tennyson?"

"Negatory, he didn't seem to recognize me, let alone even have an inclination to trust me. I fear his memory loss may be worse than we thought."

"Tis' a shame... Oh well, we'll just have to get that daft fool, Azmuth, to make another one of those watches and get another human to be our Ben Tennyson, or better yet, say Ben Tennyson can't be found and we need to find a new wielder of the Omnitrix. it doesn't necessarily have to be a human."

"You know exactly why we can't do that."

"Of course we can... you just lack the space in that mind of yours to see other options, but you persist in returning that 'Ben Tennyson' boy to his former existence. What a drag you are, Paradox. A real dimension-hopping wet blanket. I much prefer the new name he's adopted, Tennyson stopped sounding like a last name after you said it for the seventeen thousandth time."

"At least I'm doing something useful, Spirit of Chaos. I'm being useful, you are distracting me with banter."

"Drop the formalities, already, you time walking Doctor Who wannabe! It's Discord, the name you are looking for, is DISCORD! Honestly, how did any version of that boy ever tolerate you and your droll rules and restrictions?"

"Because I have plans. I foresee all timelines, all possibilities, and if one of these possible timelines has a Ben Tennyson, I am to see it through and watch over the boy at all costs--"

"Yes, that's what you're SUPPOSED to do, yet you want to return both timelines back to the way they were. Why the sudden change in plans, Paradox, has that lab coat finally shrunk a few sizes too small and is now suffocating you?"

"...that is irrelevant--"

"Is it, Is it really irrelevant? I say let it go on, you say stop it, talk about Out Of Character. I think I may have figured out why Eon can't seem to have a consistent backstory. Is he an alien, an evil future Ben Tennyson, an alternate version of Ben Tennyson entirely, I think I may have found out why he's having a massive identity crisis, that's your doing, isn't it, Paradox? Oh how chaotic of you, if you wanted to paint me like one of your French girls, you could've just asked!~"

"Oh just be quiet, you multiverse manipulating miscreant of mischief! You're still stuck in stone, you won't be a problem for Benjamin--"

"Yet. I won't be a problem for Ben Sparkle, yet. Remember, Mister When, this is the first Season!~"

"And there won't be a second season once Benjamin Tennyson is returned to his proper universe!!"

"OOohhohoho~ Did I touch a nerve, Paradox? Will a gumball make you feel better?"

A flash of light appears around the man known as Paradox, and he vanishes from the void.

"Good riddance, you were lousy company as you played 'I Spy' for Ben Sparkle. Honestly, taking him from this world after he just got used to it and made friends, that's gonna stir up chaos that would free me early. Call me old fashioned, but I prefer to show up when I hear my cue. To you lovely Gents, ladies, and other various genders reading this far, I'm not sure how you found your way here, but while you are, here's one rule you must follow... Keep an eye out for that lab coat wearing charlatan!!! I'm not going to tolerate anyone who tries to spoil the surprise of my inevitable return. I may be in stone, but my powers are still mighty, I can always make things difficult for that blasted time walker. Just keep watching Season One, and eventually, we'll meet again very soon. Tata!!~"

Well, that was an incredibly strange piece of blank space, wonder how that got there.

Anyways, there's one more crucial point, but that'll be for the next couple chapters before we get down to the beginning of Season One. Hope you enjoyed.
