King Sombra -- Or at least, the former King Sombra -- has been successfully captured and held under strict imprisonment beneath his very castle. Despite the protests from Princess Cadance and her husband Shining, the well-known enemy of Equestria was placed under their supervision while the Royals debated their options. Weeks of strenuous interrogation passed, with all the Princesses and Elements desperate to learn more about Sombra and his mysterious past. But alas, with most of the historical texts about him being erased through time, and the Tyrant himself remaining deathly silent throughout their talks, it seemed that nopony would be able to get through his stoic exterior.

That was, until a particular Prince caught his curiosity.

Shining Armor was the last hope any of the Alicorns had to learning Sombra's secrets, and possibly using his intel for the greater good. However, even when he was finally able to break through, Shining was met with a rather unorthodox offer: If he wants Sombra to cooperate, Shining was expected to reciprocate financially without the Princess' knowledge.

The first few payments may have been easy enough, but it won't take long for Sombra to press Shining's limits and find those first couple of cracks. The more he charged for his "discussions," the less he was willing to unveil.

And to make matters worse for poor Shining Armor... the more he had to pay, the harder it became for him to stop~
