Chapters In the dawn of day, Fluttershy awoke from her slumber, so gently. She stood up and yawned to resemble her tired mind. For some reason she felt very satisfied as if she has been pleasured recently. She must have been sleeping horribly, though she did look horrible herself. She felt her coat sweating a bit, her mane was out of place, and she had a rough bruise on her forehead. She couldn't remember what had happened last night, she went into the bathroom to wash up, hopefully she will remember with a splash of water on her face.
Just as Fluttershy was about to turn the bathroom door knob, she heard a grunt behind her but it was silent and sounded like something was sleeping.
Probably just Angel in the house again Fluttershy thought carefully. She ignored it and went in the bathroom. She walked up to the mirror and saw how much of a mess she was. First, she poured water on her hoof, with the water dripping down back to the sink she began rubbing her face with her watered hooves. Once that was done, she grabbed a brush from the cabinet drawer. She brushed her pink mane slowly and gently. Fluttershy got a hold of a towel placed on the shower and wiped her wet face.
Once Fluttershy was finished, she went out of the bathroom. Something caught her eye, there was a big lump on her bed. Intrigued, Fluttershy slowly trotted to the strange sight. As she took hoof steps she could hear groaning on the bed, what was it? Fluttershy got to the side of her bed, she reached for the blanket covering the odd thing. She was scared, she coward back a couple of times. With courage built up in her body, she grabbed the blanket, she slowly pulled it back. While removing the blanket, she saw a rainbow colored mane. It was Rainbow Dash, in her bed. But why though?
"Oh, well if you don't find a stallion come to me, I'll help you" Fluttershy remembered, Rainbow Dash was here to help her with a mare on mare experience. Then it all came back her.
24 hours earlier
Fluttershy laid the recently harvested carrot in front of her favorite pet, Angel. He nibbled the carrot as if it were his last meal, he does this every time Fluttershy serves him breakfast, lunch, it didn't matter he always did this. After the moment had passed Fluttershy saw the accomplishment she did by feeding every critter around her cottage, in a short period of time. Well at least she had some time for herself. So she went into her cottage. She saw the book Twilight let her borrow, she remembered she was finished reading it. She thought as she stared at the book,Perhaps I should return back to Twilight .
Her thought was confirmed, she grabbed her saddlebag and stapled it er back. She grabbed the book with mouth and dropped
it inside the bag. After she trotted out the door.
As she headed out the door, she was shrugged on one of her hooves. She looked down to see Angel tugging on the coat of her leg. She grinned, she leaned down to same height with Angel. She cuddled him with her muzzle,"I'll be back later on Angel", she said rising back up. Angel left a smile on his face as he saw Fluttershy trotting away down the dirt path.
While walking down the streets of Ponyville, Fluttershy began to get confronted by romance. She saw Bon Bon and Lyra cuddling on a rigid bench. For a strange reason, that brought warmth to Fluttershy and she knows she is really in need of romance. All of the sudden, another couple passed by her, she could tell it was a couple because the mare gave the stallion short kisses on the cheek. Now there is love all around Fluttershy, there were several couples, hugging, kissing, etc. She couldn't take it no more. She started galloping to Twilight's library with great endurance.
Fluttershy knocked on the wooden door of the library. She waited there. It took three minutes of patience before some pony answer the door. On the other side of the door was Twilight but she looked odd, she was panting heavily, she was covered in sweat, it looked as if she ran a marathon.
"Hi Fluttershy" Twilight greeted seeming nervous. Twilight kept a smile on her face, but Fluttershy knew it was a fake one and it intrigued her.
"Umm, Twilight are you ok?" Fluttershy interrogated.
"Uh nothings wrong Fluttershy, what makes you say that?!" Twilight nervously asked putting an even larger fake smile.
"Never mind, I came to return the book you let me borrow" Fluttershy replied. She set the saddlebag on the ground. As Fluttershy was grabbing the book, she noticed something on Twilight's back legs, some strange fluid was sliding down and it looked like it was coming from her.....
"Uh Twilight where is Spike?" Fluttershy asked.
"He's not here, he went to do some errands for me" Twilight replied looking to one side to the other without moving her head.
"Well here's the book, thanks you for letting me read it" Fluttershy said lending the book to Twilight.
"Thanks Fluttershy, now I got to go, bye Fluttershy" Twilight quickly said shutting the door. Fluttershy stood there with confused look on her face, with strange thoughts. What was that liquid flowing down Twilight's leg? Fluttershy thought. She shook her head and began trotting home. It was barely the middle of the day and Fluttershy had to feed the animals at her cottage. She started to gallop, she went faster. After a few moments of running, she realized she had wings. She blush at her small mistake yet there was no one around to see it. She soared aboved the town of Ponyville, with the wind cooling her with the right tempature, it felt fresh. It took the same amount of time to get to her cottage as how she did heading to Twilight's place. Since she wasn't fast like Rainbow Dash.
Her cottage wasn't to far below her, she began gliding to the ground. Landing safetly, Fluttershy tried to contain the feeling of her hooves touching the ground again since was flying for several minutes. She trotted to the front door of her cottage and looked back at the sky, it was sundown, the sun was setting, letting the moon rise up to shine bright with it's gray beam of light. She headed inside. It was dark, so she turned on the lantern that always hangs in the center of the living room. She saw the inside, there nothing exciting there but the same thing Fluttershy sees Pratically everyday now. It was boring for Fluttershy. She had just returned the book she had been reading for the past week or so. Fluttershy just sat on the couch. She stared at the atmosphere around her even though it wasn't something to be entertained or happy about. No, just the same thing everyday now.
Suddenly, there was a knock on the door. Fluttershy got up and headed to the door to answer it. She opened the door, it was Rainbow Dash.
"Rainbow Dash?" Fluttershy puzzled.
"Hey Fluttershy!" Rainbow Dash beamed.
"What are you doing here....not saying that that I don't want you here" Fluttershy said asked.
"I just came here to ask if you'd like to join me on going to the club"
"The club, but-", Fluttershy was cut off by Rainbow Dash.
"Come on Fluttershy loosen up and go some where for once, you gotta stop being such a shy pony"
Fluttershy thought as she absorbed on what Rainbow Dash just said. Maybe she is right, I should loosen up she thought. Finally, she came with a conclusion.
"Sure Rainbow, I'll go"
"Cool, now let's go!" Rainbow Dash announced turning and trotting down the path. Fluttershy slowly followed.
It was dark out, the two friends were going to the club. Fluttershy didn't know where exactly her and Rainbow Dash were going. Though they both just trotted down the dusty roads of Ponyville. Seeing other ponies doing their last minute duties. Most of the shops were closed for the night- some don't last during night fall. All the houses were quite and dark inside due to the fact that ponies were peacefully in their dreams or suffering the horrid nightmares they were in. Fluttershy, still thinking of the category of romance, found herself confused and sorrow. She didn't know what to do- especially considering her only option was Bashful. While still gathering from the concept of Bashful, a question popped in head. Which club was Rainbow Dash taking her? And why was she taking Fluttershy other than Pinkie Pie (Who is the perfect party mare to be with at such a place). So her only benefit was to ask the cyan pegasus what was occurring.
"Rainbow Dash, can I ask you a question" Fluttershy directed.
"Yeah Fluttershy, what's up?" Rainbow Dash answered.
"Why are you taking only me? Other than that, where are going?"
"Well I'm only taking you because Pinkie had some stuff to do, maybe baking more cupcakes or has to fill out a bunch of orders, something like that. I knew twilight, Rarity, and Applejack wouldn't want to join since they had 'better' stuff to do. Twilight is probably studying more, Rarity is perhaps making more dresses, and Applejack....well I know her and she doesn't like clubs, only thinking about harvesting apples. And the place we're going is the club we went last week with the rest of the gang. House of DJ PON-3!"
"Oh, but why there when we could somewhere more...quite" Fluttershy offered.
"Come on Fluttershy! You really have to get out more" Rainbow Dash beamed out.
"I don't like going out in public a lot, it's more comfortable in my cottage surrounded by kind little creatures. I'm shy around other ponies too, it scares me a little. You know how I am shy" Fluttershy explained, not comfortably.
"I know you're shy, heck it's even in your name. Still, you really should probably lighten up and be cool. Like me" Rainbow Dash said setting pride in herself.
Fluttershy frowned at the response considering there was not a chance she could ever be like Rainbow Dash. Though she cooled be at least twenty percent cooler than she is now. She could if she had the help from the pegasus right beside her.
"Fluttershy, you want me to help you be cooler?" Rainbow Dash suggested. Fluttershy's salvation just answered her thoughts. Perhaps she should accept, it could really change her life and turn her into something...distinct.
"Please Rainbow Dash?" Fluttershy desired.
"Well lets start at the club Fluttershy" Rainbow Dash exclaimed pointing at the joint- which was just up ahead not too far. They both Stopped and glanced at the place, booming beats were being played, beams of rainbow lights were shined through the roof. Fluttershy turned to Rainbow Dash who quickly pointed her head to their destination, signaling Fluttershy. Rainbow Dash started trotting towards the club. Fluttershy followed behind her.
As they drew closer to the club, they saw a huge line of ponies waiting to go inside and have an excellent night. Worried, Fluttershy put a concerned frown on her face.
"Don't worry we don't need to wait in line, I'll handle this, follow me" Rainbow Dash whispered. Rainbow Dash walked up to the sheperd.
"Aahh, Rainbow Dash" The stallion said. He stared at Fluttershy.
"Oh don't mind her, she's my friend" Rainbow Dash said. The sheperd nodded and let them both in. They walked in. Music, shouts, and other sounds rang their ears. In sight was a crowd of grooving ponies, multi-colored lights flashing all over the dance floor, and ponies just hanging out by the table area, etc.
"Rainbow Dash, how do you know that stallion?" Fluttershy asked.
"Fluttershy, if you want people to know and respect you, being cool is key" Rainbow Dash replied. Fluttershy understood and returned a nod. Rainbow Dash went to the VIP area while Fluttershy paced behind her. The stallion guarding the worthy ponies area- where there was other ponies. The stallion let them both in. They sat down on a crimson couch. So much regard for Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy just had to buzz.
"Rainbow Dash, how?"
"I told you Fluttershy and I'm not going to say it again, you got to be cool like me!"
"But how do you beco-"
"Come on let's go to the bar, I'm parched" Rainbow Dash proclaimed.
"Oh...ok" Fluttershy whispered following Rainbow Dash. They both crossed through the crowd of dancing ponies. They got to the bar, barely in balance. They sat on the stools.
"Give me two shots here!" Rainbow Dash yelled, calling the bartender. The bartender grabbed a bottle from under the counter, along with two small glass cups. He poured the beverage into both shots. Once done, he left to deal with other orders.
"What's this?" Fluttershy asked with awe.
"Just some vodka" Rainbow Dash answered.
"Vodka?! I don't drink Rainbow"
"You want to be cool or not?"
"Do I have to?"
"If you want be twenty percent cooler, than yeah" Rainbow Dash finished. Fluttershy turned to the glass in front her. She took a hold of it, then took a drink. She directly stuck her tongue out in disgust. She coughed to get the horrid taste out of her mouth. She never was a pony to drink- she didn't want to be a mindless drunk like Berry Punch.
"Woo, Bartender get me another round here!" Rainbow Dash clammored. With familiar actions, the waiter poured more of the drink into the glass. After, Rainbow Dash gulped the entire shot without stopping. She turned to Fluttershy, staggered. She saw the glass was half full. She sighed in disappointment and amazement- she still had the some what satisfying taste in her mouth. Then a voice was heard from behind them.
"Hey Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash!" the voice proclaimed. Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash both turned, they two mares- a couple to be exact.
"What's up Lyra and Bon-Bon, what brings you here" Rainbow dash remarked.
"Nothing much, we mostly come here for our dates, considering we always have fun back at home" Lyra said. Whispering the last part. "And whatcha guys doing here, together, on a date?" Lyra added.
"What?!" Fluttershy exclaimed, blushing at the comment.
"No Lyra, we aren't on a date, we're not even in a relationship!" Rainbow Dash said.
"Sorry, didn't know" Lyra reformed. After a few awkward moments, the DJ played a new song. It was a slow yet funky tune.
"Lyra, come on let's dance" Bon-Bon whispered. Lyra snuggled up next to her, turning and heading to the dance floor thus making them disappear in the still dancing array.
"Wanna dance Fluttershy?" Rainbow Dash asked.
"I guess" The shy mare responded. Rainbow Dash stood up from the stool.
"Well come on!" Rainbow Dash shouted. She started to trot to the dance floor as Fluttershy pursued. It was difficult to get into the crowd but they succeeded into the center. Rainbow Dash started to move and groove, she shakes her flank around, taking steps in a pattern, she was like a pro. Fluttershy stood there, until the beat of the music began to roam her. Adredaline started to max her out. She felt the rhythm, she felt the excitement all around her.
She began to nod her head to match the beat. She body slowly started to follow. Fluttershy commenced. Her flank grooved all around, her hooves stepped everywhere on the dance floor. Soon her fun ended by the Vinyl Scratch.
"Now let's got all the couples to join in a slow" Vinyl announced, beginning a new song meant for the couples only. Most of the ponies trotted off the dance floor while pairs joined in. Fluttershy accompanied Rainbow Dash as they back to the bar.
"What a rush that was, right Fluttershy?" Rainbow Dash questioned.
"It actually was fun!" Fluttershy excitedly replied.
"I'm a bit tired, I think we had enough for the night" Rainbow Dash said yawning silently. Fluttershy nodded. Rainbow Dash stood up, she nearly lost her balance but Fluttershy helped her up. Rainbow Dash wasn't drunk, just tired. They both headed to the exit. As they got out, they realized how dark it was.
"Its getting really late Rainbow Dash" Fluttershy said. Rainbow Dash shook herself to wake up a little. They both started trotting down the dark roads of Ponyville. They've been Clubbing all night after all.
Fluttershy- A taste of the Rainbow
The two mares trotted in the darkness, it was more than midnight. Strange, Fluttershy's fear of the dark didn't occur to her. Is it because she's with a close friend? Or was it because she was filled with excitement. She really did have fun back at the club. The most fun she has had in a while to be exact. Rainbow Dash wasn't to tired than she was moments ago, though she still didn't have much energy in her.
"Alright Fluttershy I'll see you tomorrow" She said. Rainbow Dash flapped her wings as fast as she could. She barely got in the air, she still wasn't energetic at the moment. Her wings gave out thus making her fall to the ground. Fluttershy rushed to her injured friend.
"Are you ok Rainbow Dash?!" Fluttershy Asked, concerned for her friend.
"Ugh, I'm fine I just got a slight bruise" Rainbow Dash said. Fluttershy checked Rainbow Dash's wing, she touched it.
"Aagh!" Rainbow Dash yelped. Fluttershy slightly grabbed the wing. Rainbow Dash cried in agony.
"Rainbow Dash, your wing is sprained!" Fluttershy proclaimed.
"Not its not- Aagh!"
"Come on Rainbow Dash, you can stay at my cottage till you're better" Fluttershy said, taking a hold of her friend. Rainbow Dash groaned in pain. Fluttershy couldn't make it to her cottage at a speed like this- she does have a medical kit there.She only had one option, she had to fly there. What could she do? Its faster, though Rainbow Dash has to be over a hundred pounds. She had to do it. So she fluttered her wings as she got a good grip on Rainbow Dash's body. Without hesitation, she flew, Rainbow Dash's weight didn't matter now. She flew as fast as she could to her cottage.
Fluttershy barged in through the door, still holding Rainbow Dash. She paused to think on what to do. Her medical kit is inside a drawer somewhere in the living room, though she still has Rainbow Dash in her grasp. She couldn't carry two things at once-especially if one is heavier than the other. She went upstairs to lay Rainbow Dash in bed. She went upstairs being steady and cautious. She opened the door to her bedroom, she placed Rainbow Dash on her bed. She was still in slight pain.
Fluttershy went downstairs to retrieve her med kit. When she got to the first floor, she stopped to remember where she put it. It was in a drawer somewhere. She first searched inside the drawer by the couch. Nothing. After, she checked the one by the front door. There it was. She grabbed it with her mouth and headed upstairs. When she opened the door, she saw Rainbow Dash sitting on the bed.
"Rainbow Dash?" Fluttershy whispered. Rainbow Dash turned her head to face Fluttershy. She started to chuckle.
"Why are you laughing?" Fluttershy remarked.
"Come here, I'll tell you"Rainbow Dash said.
Fluttershy trotted towards her and sat next to Rainbow Dash. Rainbow Dash grew closer to her and whispered.
"I faked it"
"What? But why did yo-" Fluttershy was interrupted by warm
lips connected to hers. They were Rainbow Dash's lips. After Fluttershy understood the situation, she started to blush. The kiss was intense, Fluttershy couldn't resist it. She started to...like it. But it was coming from her own friend, why was it coming from her own friend? Heat started to build up in Fluttershy as her blush grew. Just when Fluttershy was about to explode (not literally), the kiss was broken by Rainbow Dash.
"Uh...so um why did you fake it?" Fluttershy inquired still having a little blush on her face.
"To see how you taste" Rainbow Dash responded.
"Taste? What....do you mean?" Fluttershy questioned.
"Didn't you know, I go both ways"
"I kind of knew that...but why with me? I'm your friend!"
"Oh please, you aren't the first"
"I-I'm not?"
"I've done this with Pinkie Pie already"
"But....why?"
"Shut up and just enjoy!" Rainbow Dash finally said before kissing Fluttershy. The yellow mare was weak thus making her fall on the bed.
Fluttershy's flashback ended there as she jolted back to reality.
[sigh] This story is done. But not the story itself, the idea is still living. But I'm going to restart this, in a new fic and a new style. So She is shy but Lovable is cancelled. But, BUT, I will start over with this idea and change it up. I am so sorry you guys but this plot I was originally working with wasn't working at all, well at least for me. So the new story will be called "Modest Essence", it will contain the same characters including the original characters such as Bashful. Maybe Dizzy will be left out, I am restarting after all. So watch out for that. Again, I'm sorry.
