Chapter 6

Previous Chapter

Dear Princess Celestia,

The study of psychology shows that personal matters, feelings, or even gestures are a sign of platonic or romantic love. If the mood is sultry and involves some degree of intimacy this should be qualified as romantic pleasure; when the matter of the heart practically thumps and screams. However, it will be considered platonic love if the relationship is conversational and gregarious.

Having conversations should always be key to your friend, family, or partner as it can help them know what you're thinking and prevent them from longing to guess.

Study shows that introverts are much better off with extroverts as it can balance the relationship. However, if you are both introverts then there would be a lack of communication or a lack of start to a conversation. And if you are both extroverts then it could lead to one of you talking over the other and this could overlap things.

So in conclusion, healthy relationships whether it's platonic or romantic should be able to conduct a sense of companionship with six ingredients: trust, devotion, patience, affection, sympathy, and kindness.

Your Faithful Student,
Twilight Sparkle

Twilight bit her lip, thinking that this should be enough — it has been a long time since she's been a friendship student to the oldest Princess of Equestria. She was supposed to whip up an introduction on what she already knew about friendship already as she rejoined to be Celestia's student again.

And so, she rolled the parchment up into a tube and passed it onto Spike for him to send it out the window in green flames. She watched it evaporate into thin air outside and looked down to see a variety of everyday ponies and creatures passing by.

''Hey Twilight,'' came Starlight's voice as she entered the library. ''Sorry to interrupt but Trixie here really wanted to talk with you.''

Twilight considered this to be a surprise. ''Oh?''

An azure-colored unicorn was standing in the doorway, then made her way over next to Starlight.

''Yeah,'' she said sheepishly, getting ready to leave. ''So I'll just leave you two to talk.''

And now it was just Twilight and Trixie awkwardly looking at each other, the former was about to speak up but Trixie already beat her to it (for once).

''Let Trixie speak!'' she said, and so she began: ''Trixie figured she hasn't even tried to get along with you and that's why you probably think she is irritating.''

Twilight opened her mouth. ''Trixie, I...''

''Trixie thought that it was her fault,'' Trixie said with a frown. ''It was, but you can't decline the fact it isn't yours either. You humiliated Trixie not once but twice! Yes, I was a show boaster but I only wanted to let people know that I was finally good at something. But then when Starlight brought me to come and see you the third time, you instantly tried everything you could to separate us.''

Twilight hung her head. ''I know and I'm sorry, Trixie. That was incredibly wrong of me. Some Princess of Friendship I tend to be and which is why I stepped down and became Celestia's student again.''

''Trixie so greatly accepts your apology,'' Trixie said with a smile. ''But speaking of being Princess Celestia's student, Trixie also wants to ask you if she can be as well like how Starlight and Sunset are working together under Princess Luna.''

Twilight's eye twitched. ''You... you want to be...?'' But then she remembered and she took in a deep breath. ''I think I can put in a word with Princess Celestia.''

Trixie smiled and tipped her hat to bow her way out of the library. ''Thank you for being so considerate, Princess Twilight. Trixie greatly appreciates it.''

And she left, leaving Twilight to be concerned. ''Oh, dear.''

She whipped up another parchment and quill.

Dear Princess Celestia,

Okay, so I don't know if I should be excited or concerned because Trixie just asked me to ask you if she could be your student and work with me much like how Starlight and Sunset are working together under your sister.

I hope you say no.

Your Faithful Student,
Twilight Sparkle

Twilight sent the letter out the window using Spike's fire breath and looked outside with concern written all over her face, Spike placed a claw on her shoulder.

My Faithful Student,

That would be a marvelous idea! I've always wanted to have another student that's not just you like my sister, so I'll so happily take this Trixie under my wing.

Yours,
Princess Celestia

When Twilight read the letter, she immediately put it down and took on a worried gaze then she turned to Spike laughing on the floor with a serious expression.

''She really is a troll, isn't she?'' he asked, taking breaths in between.

Something lit up his face which caused him to stop laughing as Twilight literally burst into flames out of rage, sending the whole castle flinging into the air and then coming back down with a massive thump.

Starlight ran to her aid. ''Twilight? Is everything okay?'' She gasped as she spotted Twilight lying on the floor, smoke surrounding her. ''Oh no, Twilight!'' She turned to Spike. ''Spike, what happened?''

''She, uh, did it again,'' Spike explained hesitantly.

''Oh no. This is bad!'' Starlight exclaimed frantically. ''We don't want another one of those, do we now, Spike?''

Spike quickly shook his head.

''Quick! Call Trixie!'' she asked him hurriedly.

''What? But Trixie's the reason why—'' he was cut off when Starlight yelled at him and he quickly took off to fetch the show mare, then came back with her.

''Erm, Twilight?'' Trixie called out to the unmoving alicorn who then got onto all fours, facing her with an eye twitching creepily.

''Here.'' Spike gave her a scroll. ''You should read this.''

When Trixie read through it, she immediately jumped. ''Oh em gee. BEST PRINCESS EVER!'' She ran to Twilight to shake her hoof. ''Thank you so much, princess. Trixie will promise you that she will work as hard as you and learn the magic of friendship!''

''Greaaat...'' Twilight muttered with no emotion as Trixie continued shaking onto her hoof.
