Chapter 5: What's pink, bouncy and loves parties? ME!

Adam left the boutique in the early afternoon as soon as he got dressed, his suit renewed to its former glory. He smiled slightly and continued on his way, when he heard a voice, "Hey, I've never seen you before, that means you must be NEW, ooh are you that creature that came crashing down from the sky?! Wow, that must have been awesome!" Adam turned around to see a pink pony with extremely curled and puffy mane and tail, which resembled cotton candy almost identically. He guffawed a little at the ponies appearance and stifled a laugh.

The pony saw this and smiled widely, she then hopped around whilst Adam watched her. He laughed quite loudly now, unable to stifle the joy that seemed to infect him from this pony, his laugh was warm and loving, a rare sound indeed for him. He had normally no reason to hardly attempt a smile, various outcomes in his life left him so worried or so devastated that his face was normally deadpan. However the universe here seemed to have an adverse affect on Adam, lifting some of the most major worries out of his mind.

The pink pony said "By the way, I'm Pinkie Pie, I got a joke for you!" He looked at the cotton candy pony inquisitively. However, she then said "What's pink, bouncy and loves parties? ME!" at this he laughed. Pinkie lead him to a small shop, named "Sugar cube corner", once inside he happily hopped around in the well lit bakery. Tarts, cream cakes, pound cakes, cookies, cakes and an assortment of sugary treats lined the shelves of the bakery, choosing only one of them was hard. Pinkies voice floated to him "By the way, seeing as your my guest, you can help yourself!"

Adam picked out a stack of triple chocolate chip cookies from the shelf and lightly nibbled one, inspecting the flavor. However, the taste of smooth, rich chocolate was the first to hit his tongue, the cookies were both crunchy on the outside and chewy on the inside. Adam had tasted some delicacies in his times, but NOTHING came close to the chocolaty taste sensation that was engulfing his very personality and making him sweet. In just that brief moment of time Adam dropped into a waking stupor of blissful ignorance. His mind a blank and all his worries washed away by the taste of the one cookie, until he was summoned back to reality by "Call it a hunch, but I think he likes those cookies!" followed shortly by Twilight's laughter.

The faces of both Pinkie and Twilight came into view, he said "How long was I out for?" Pinkie said "About 5 minutes, I called Twilight over because your face looked FUNNY, not bad funny but HA HA funny!" He swallowed his pride, as well as the rest of his cookies. Twilight looked at him and said "It's sort-of getting late, you might want to move soon before it's too late." Adam looked out the nearest window and noticed the sun closing in on the horizon, he didn't mind the night so much in his world, but this one is different.

Twilight also said "Princess Luna had announced that she'd visit Ponyville to raise the moon tonight." at which Adam said "You mean, the princess' younger sister?" Of which Twilight said "Yes, that's the one!" He looked at her and said "Then I want to be there to greet her in person, you know, initiate a good look for royalty and so on." Of which Twilight said "Yeah lover-boy, I know what you mean." He blushed and said "I don't love her, she's just..." Twilight finished for him "Caught your eye?"

They spent the whole time bickering as they left the bakery shop, leaving Pinkie Pie to her own devices...or Hooves? By the time they had finished their argument, which got neither of them anywhere, they had both arrived at the "moon rise" podium that had been set up earlier by the locals. Twilight rolled her eyes as Adam took a seat on her bare back in order to get out of the way as much as possible, she found that contrary to his size, he weighed no more than a feather, but chose not to press questions about it. Instead, she too waited for the princess's arrival.
