The rise of Adam, the mysterious man: Twilights' extrordinary day

Chapter 7: A royal pain in the rear

It was a new morning, Adam put on his clothing silently and walked out of Luna's room, He then proceeded into the main hall. However, in her throne was no one else but Celestia, Adam said with a shy laugh "Have a rough sleep last night?" She looked at him and said "It was very rough, but VERY pleasurable." As she said this, he couldn't help but feel she winked at him, he knew exactly what she meant.

He said "I wish to leave early before any more 'experiments' are made on me." This made the princess laugh, she said "Seeing as you helped me de-stress, I'll teleport you out of canterlot and back into Ponyville." He said "Sure sounds quicker than walking." The princess walked up to him and kissed him upon the lips, white energy surrounded him as she did so and the ground moved away from underneath his feet, spiraling through a rainbow vortex. Then, the next thing he knew, he felt himself halt and the room briefly warped around him, building itself in-front of his eyes from the faster than light speed he had achieved due to the princess.

He was back in Twilight's library home, he had not noticed before, but many of the books were written on pony lore. He began to browse the books, then the front door had opened and Twilight trotted in. He had remembered his behavior, then smiled at her, she smiled back and said "I'm guessing you got what you wanted." He replied "Actually, I got her and her bigger sister." Twilight's jaw dropped, if it would've dislocated, he was sure It'd have hit the floor. She stammered "B... but no pony has touched Celestia, no pony has ever caught her eye or managed to get that close to her."

Adam smiled and said "Well clearly I'm not any-PONY I'm a somebody, not some-pony." Twilight stared at him avidly, her interest now peaked, she said "I need to run some tests on you, fitness, strength, stamina, intellect and of course magical abilities." He looked apprehensive, then said "Who do I see for strength and fitness?" Twilight responded "Applejack, then speed and stamina is Rainbow Dash, I'll test you on intellect and kindness with help from Fluttershy and I'll test you by myself on Magic.

Adam said "Well, I best get off to Applejack, you mind taking me to her?" Twilight smiled and said "Sure, follow me." As he walked out with his purple pony guide, he couldn't help but notice that no time had passed since his travel from Canterlot to Ponyville. It was still about dawn, but the walk to a place Twilight talked about, named "Sweet apple aches", was taking them well into the morning to reach, however the skies were clear.

He said "Hm, the sky looks beautiful and clear. I'm guessing this 'Rainbow Dash' is a flying pony of sorts?" Twilight said "Actually, she's a Pegasus, but you are right, within reason, she clears the skies using her ability to touch the clouds and physically walk on them. However, this is an oddity to your kind, I read the book you gave me." Adam smiled "Glad it cleared up most of the confusion, assuming you don't have any other questions."

"Actually, I have one question." she stated, "It's about that weird thing on your neck." Adam looked at her sincerely and said "I guess I owe you the truth. However, you must promise me that you will tell no one here, well maybe princess Celestia, but only if necessary." She nodded, he continued "This is the amulet of Equinox, I might have explained this earlier, but let me Re-cap, Yin and Yang, Good and Evil, Dark And Light, Life and Death all inside this one amulet. However, it's magical abilities are beyond that of incomprehensible, In fact, the power it has is limited at your imagination, if you can think it, you can do it."

Twilight looked at the amulet with awe, her studies had never heard of such a powerful artifact. Adam said to her "Oh, by the way, sooner or later, I might need to create a binding universe anchor." She replied "A binding universe what?" quizzically. He replied "Well, technically I don't belong in this universe, one way or another I'm going to have to force my existence into this world. However, it might mean that at some point that I will not only forget my human life, but I will also change, into what, I do not know, but something from this universe I can guarantee."

He paused and looked Twilight right in the eyes "However, I will keep all my memories of this world and all the abilities, special or not, that I had from the last. They might cover my rump just like yours, but mine, if I had to choose, might be an Infinity symbol." Twilight said "Infinity, that's never ending, right?" Adam smiled, "I see you really buried yourself in that book." Then he sighed and said "Yes, that means that my special skill will be never ending, so there will be no limit to what I can do or when I can do it, just like my current situation, for some reason, this universe seems to like me."

Twilight said "I like your hair, it looks like a stallions." Adam paused and said, "Have a mirror spare?" she created one from pure magic and held it up to him, his hair was long, down past his shoulders and to his elbows, his hair was streaked wildly bright blonde in places, making his hair look insane. His normal brown shoulder length mane replaced by a elbow length brown mane, with pure blonde streaked in his hair.

At first, he looked slightly bemused, but grew accustom to the look quickly, he examined the streaks and said "Almost looks like lightning struck my hair whilst it was growing, I've been here for 4 days now, i was K.O'd for one, exploring for two, and walking with you on my fourth. Wow, hair grows FAST here." Twilight laughed and said "You'll make rainbow dash green with envy when she sees that hair. It looks awesome on you for some reason."

He looked at himself and said "Yeah, I look like an old school blues player, a 'Hip crazy cat' or something." he laughed at his own comment. Twilight paused and said "Here we are, Sweet Apple Acres!" Adam looked over to see an orange pony at an apple stall. He walked over and smiled, then said "Hello my little pony, who are you and how are you this fine day?" A heavy Texan accent hung on the pony's voice as she spoke "I'm Applejack, pleasure to meet'cha Mr." He replied "I'm Adam, Twilight here was just talking to me about how you can help her test my Strength and Fitness?"

Applejack looked over Adams shoulder as Twilight approached, she said "Twi' y'know I Love seeing and helpin' new people 'n' all but y'gotta know that I'm kinda' busy." Adam looked at the empty road, a single whirlwind of leaves rustled across the pathway. He said "Sorry to seem rude, but this place really doesn't look busy, I mean it's fine if you don't want to help me. However, I just want to let you know it'd really help."

Applejack sighed, then said "Y'know Twi, your friends seem to be the strangest and most literal of all ponies, especially those who aren't ponies." Adam laughed and said "Thanks for the compliment." Sarcasm seeped from his mouth. Applejack came away from the stand, she said "The Zap-Apples are nearly ready, you can help me buck 'em, If you can keep up." He laughed and said "If I'm faster and more efficient than you, clearly I have not only passed my Strength and Fitness abilities, but have proved that I'm more than capable!" Applejack said "Game on!"

Adam stretched himself out, making sure he was nice and flexible, Applejack laughed at his peculiar stretches, he smiled politely. Applejack readied herself and started the countdown. "On the count of three" she said, "One, two, THREE!" Applejack started bucking down the rainbow colored apples with her hind legs, Adam kicked the trees for their apples, He was much stronger than her, managing to buck down more apples per kick. He also tired out less than she did, his energy supplies almost infinite compared to hers. She looked over at him, she was sweating from hard work and was surprised by his ability, she wasn't going to give up, but there were 10 trees between him and her.

Adam was fast approaching her, barrels filling with Zap-apples, he was way to up-pace for her to keep up. She sat down as one last tree separated him and her. He kicked the tree lazily and emptied it of all its apples. Applejack said "How many?" Adam smiled and replied "All 990."she knew she had 1000 zap-apple trees, but she still said "That'd have taken me ages, looks like there won't be any more bucking for me today. However, you're strong and full of energy, you could give many Ponyville residents a run for their bits."

Twilight said "Well, I guess it's time for you to meet Rainbow Dash." Adam replied "Indeed so, but about ponies and bits, I think I'll pass on making a joke there. No actually I think I've seen enough ponies bits to last me a few days." He laughed to himself.
