Erm—May I Please Be Excused?
My name is Celestia; I am the princess of Equestria. Did I mention that I take care of six little fillies? One of those fillies is well on her way to growing out of her diaper! Her name is Fluttershy, and her name certainly suits her. I help her with her diaper whenever she goes to the potty!
“My diaper!” cried Fluttershy. The poor pegasus had failed to make it to the potty, and now, she was crying like a baby—which she was no longer! “Oh, my!” I gasped in shock. With my horn, I lifted her onto the changing table and proceeded to change her wet diaper. As usual, I cuddled her with my wings while changing her diaper.
Now that Fluttershy was wearing a dry, clean diaper, I gave her the green light to go back to her playtime. “I don’t want to!” she complained. “But Fluttershy, I just changed your diaper,” I countered. “Only because my friends wouldn’t listen to me!” she cried in exasperation. “I kept trying to tell them that I needed to go to the potty!” she explained.
I decided to accompany Fluttershy to the playroom, where she saw all five of her friends. “Fluttershy, why couldn’t you just ask for us to excuse you?” asked Rarity, looking seriously concerned. “But—but I—erm—I was trying to ask you that!” cried Fluttershy. “It’s really no biggie, Fluttershy; you can always try again!” chimed in Pinkie Pie. “Hmmm—OK,” answered Fluttershy, and went to the potty once again.
Once Fluttershy and I were in the privacy of the room with the potty, I took her diaper off her rump—gently—and then, she sat down on the potty. “Nothing’s happening,” she told me. “That means you made it to the potty on time!” I answered, praising her success. “Oh—my—goodness!” she cried. “I can’t believe I made it to the potty without an accident!” she exclaimed, beaming from cheek to cheek.
“Erm—I’m still a little afraid,” confessed Fluttershy. “But why?” I inquired of her. “Erm—my diaper is just so cozy!” she answered. “Say—do you know what else is cozy?” I asked her. “Stuffed animals!” I told her.
“Erm—excuse me, Fluttershy, darling, but why is that stuffed bunny wearing a diaper?” asked Rarity. “He needs his diaper,” explained Fluttershy, “or the floor will get all wet and dirty!” All Fluttershy’s friends, especially Rarity, gasped in disgust and shock. “Well, Fluttershy,” warned Rainbow Dash, “you’d better be quick if he needs to go to the potty!” Just then, Fluttershy had a familiar feeling in her rump.
Fluttershy’s diaper stayed dry all the way to the potty. After I took her diaper off her rump, she “went” in the potty while hugging her stuffed bunny. “You did it, Fluttershy!” I cheered softly. “You ‘went’ in the potty for the very first time,” I explained, “and you should be proud of yourself!” “I did it—I really did it—and so can you!” she told her bunny, and hugged it, firmly but very gently, with her wings.
Erm—May I Please Be Excused?
“A rocking pegasus?” gasped Rainbow Dash. “Awesome!” she exclaimed, and climbed onto the saddle of the rocking pegasus. “Oh, my goodness—please be careful!” cried Fluttershy in fright. While Rainbow Dash rocked on the toy pegasus, Fluttershy squeezed her toy bunny, fearing that her pegasus friend would get injured. “It’s your turn now, Fluttershy,” said Rainbow Dash after she got off the rocking pegasus.
Unlike Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy rocked very slowly on the toy pegasus. Twilight Sparkle held on to Fluttershy’s bunny. “Oh, no!” cried Fluttershy. “Something the matter, sugarcube?” asked Applejack sympathetically. “I need to go to the potty—right now!” answered Fluttershy.
I had to change Fluttershy’s diaper all over again. “So close and yet so far!” she sobbed, feeling blue as ever. “Oh, Fluttershy, please don’t cry!” I cried, hugging her with my gentle wings to console her. “What happened this time?” I asked her. “I finally managed to tell my friends that I needed to go to the potty,” she answered, “but I missed the potty!”
“Fluttershy,” I told Fluttershy, “you were very brave.” “Really?” she asked me. “Yes,” I answered, “because you let your friends know that you needed to go to the potty.” “Am I really brave?” she asked me, questioning my judgment of her. “Of course, you are!” I confirmed, beaming from cheek to cheek.
The next time that Fluttershy went to the potty, her diaper stayed dry. “I did it!” she told her friends. “I finally went to the potty perfectly!” she explained. “Did you ask us to let you go, and did your diaper stay nice and dry?” inquired Pinkie Pie. “Yes and yes!” answered Fluttershy.
Now, Fluttershy was confident that she would no longer need to wear a diaper. As proof of her success, she showed her friends her bare rump. “Now that I’m finally out of diapers,” she announced, “I’m going to pretend to teach my stuffed bunny to go to the potty!” “He looks so cute in a diaper!” her friends cooed. “He sure does!” she cooed back.
Fluttershy had laid her stuffed bunny down on the floor of the room with the potty. “Oh, my—your diaper is all soaked!” she cried. She proceeded to change her bunny’s diaper straight away; I watched the whole procedure. After she finished, I told her, “I think that you will be very good at taking care of animals someday.” She blushed with pride and beamed.
Fluttershy sat her stuffed bunny on the potty with its diaper on. Next, she sat her bunny on the potty with its diaper off. “You know,” she told her bunny, “there’s no reason to be afraid to go to the potty.” She hugged it, telling it, “Don’t worry; I promise to take care of you to the best of my ability, and I’ll let you wear a diaper—for as long as you like—until you know that you’re ready to learn to go to the potty.” I was her witness; I listened to every single word that she said.
