Chapters "No! Don't eat the furniture! Not do not spit on the sofa! AAH!" Twilight was trying to keep the baby Kog'Maw under control. It wasn't working. He was eating the furniture, spitting acid on the sofa, and he had just jumped on Twilight. The library looked like a hurricane had just swept through it. Over the past two weeks Twilight's life had been a living Tartarus. She had been forced to raise a baby, and it wasn't easy. She realized just how Pinkie must have felt taking care of two babies. The snow outside was piling up and she was unable to leave the library. 'The weather ponies should be keeping the snow in check, why is it piling up so much?' Twilight thought, as she picked up the little Kog'Maw child, which she had decided to name him Uvelucal because he kept calling himself it. He weighed only about twelve pounds, had deep brown eyes, and the cutest face ever. Twilight found herself staring at Uvelucal a lot, her heart exploding from D'awwww.
"Uvel hungry! Uvel need to eat!" Uvelucal said to Twilight. That was one problem with him, two weeks old and already talking. It was near impossible, two days old and he had a vastly intelligent mind. He spoke fluently, and had even written a smile letter to Twilight. Sadly, Twilight didn't have time to buy him food since she couldn't leave him home alone or go outside with him. He was starving and needed food soon, and Twilight was determined to find a way. She then realized he had fallen asleep in her forelegs, and his head was pressed up against her chest. 'Foals listen to their mother's heartbeat. Maybe Uvel isn't that different.' She thought to herself for a moment. It was time to go buy some food, and Uvel being asleep was perfect. She put him down on the small nest in the middle of the room.
Twilight put on a winter coat and opened the door. There was a four foot snow drift in the doorway, which she had to move with her magic. After looking back to see Uvel asleep, she closed the door and walked off to Sugarcube Corner.

Uvel pretended to fall asleep, and watched Twilight walk out the door. He was home alone with the house. Alone, by himself. This was perfect. He had been treating Twilight terrible for the past two weeks, and now was his chance to fix his mistake. In Uvel's eyes, Twilight was all he had. His only mother in the world, and he had made her unhappy. He hated himself for it, but he couldn't stop. Everything he did was acted upon by instinct. Uvel's true parent, Kog'Maw, has no gender, and was able to produce an egg. It filled said egg with all of Its memories and emotions, as well as its intelligence. This was what led to Kog'Maw's downfall at the hoof and hand of Discord, but thankfully, Uncle Cho'Gath went in and ate Discord up so he wouldn't be coming back.
Although Uvel had a lot of intelligence and memory, he still acted like a child. It was perfect instinct playing its role. A very curious thing though, why was Uvel born a boy if Kog'Maw had no gender? Uvel could not find an explanation within Kog'Maw's memories, but he was ok with it. He would find out sooner or later. A few things he could remember was his full name, which is Waphir Uvelucal Laraek. He just used Uvelucal or Uvel for convenience. He knew what the words meant, but he didn't want to upset Twilight with their meanings so he had kept the full name a secret. Waphir Uvelucal Laraek, Living Acid Weapon.
That was his meaning, to be a living weapon that shot acid and was only meant to destroy. He didn't want to destroy, he wanted to live in peace as his mother does. She lives in peace and quiet most the time, and it is in this peaceful silence that Uvel can go through his thoughts from Kog'Maw's life. It was like reading a giant book embedded into your mind that you could never forget. Sometimes, if he delved into deep enough thoughts, his head would start hurting and Twilight would have to heal him with a spell to stop the pain. Those were the most annoying of memories, they would start to get juicy, tell a good amount of information, and then end in a horrible throbbing pain in his head.
It was all almost too much to take, he was just a kid, so why must he be trusted with all of his parent's memories and secrets? Sometimes he wished he had a way to forget all of Kog'Maw's memories so that he could have his mind to himself. The odd thing though, it felt like Kog'Maw was here, with him. Uvel went over most of the memories again, but he didn't find much. That was when the idea of personalities popped into his head. What if Kog'Maw loaded his personality into Uvel, wouldn't that offer the possibility of Kog'Maw becoming an alternate personality inside if Uvel's mind?
I can answer that question for you.

Twilight walked toward the bakery that her friend Pinkie Pie works in. Twilight had just enough bits to afford about six cupcakes, which might be enough to satisfy Uvel's hunger. 'I hope.' Twilight opened the door and stepped inside. Pinkie was at the cash register talking to a customer. Twilight got in line and started to worry about Uvel. 'Will he freak out if he wakes up and finds that I' not home?' Twilight thought to herself for a minute before shaking her head, she looked up and realized that she was next in line.
"What can I do for you Twilight?" Pinkie said, giving a salute to Twilight.
"Just about six cupcakes, please." Twilight said, opening her bit pouch.
"Jeez, you going to eat them all by yourself?" Pinkie said, raising an eyebrow at Twilight.
"Um, yes I am." Twilight said, she wasn't about ready to tell Pinkie about Uvel. It was only luck that had Spike away in Canterlot as well. Pinkie Pie looked at Twilight and scratched her chin with her hoof.
"Well Okie Dokie Loki! Pinkie said, rushing to the back room to make the cupcakes. Twilight thought back to the day Cho'Gath left, but that wasn't what was on her mind. Along with Morgana she had seen the blood leaking down the cupcake. It seemed that her and Morgana were the only ones to notice though. She shuddered at the thought of how Pinkie obtained such cupcakes. Of course, the first time she noticed blood on one of Pinkie's cupcakes was when Twilight had run out of cupcakes on her tray and reached to Cho'Gath's. She had picked up one of his cupcakes when nopony was watching.
She bit into it and an odd sharp taste went through her mouth. Cold, bitter and coppery, she had looked at the cupcakes and seen blood going down the side. She swallowed, and had no idea why. Her mind had shut down for about an entire minute as she processed what had happened. She then saw Cho'Gath bite into his cupcake and saw blood going down it. That was when she excused herself from the table and threw up in the bathroom on the second floor near Pinkie's room. Her stomach burned from blood and bile coming up in immense quantities. She had cleaned herself up afterward and tried to put on her best smile as Celestia revealed the blue ball that had sent Cho'Gath home.
She came back t reality when Pinkie set down the tray of cupcakes in front of her. "Here ya go Twilight! Have a good day!" Pinkie said, waving a hoof as Twilight left he bakery. Just for good measure, she split on of the cupcakes open with her horn, and seeing nothing but cake and frosting inside, she went toward the Library.

Uvel freaked out, something had just talked in his head. He jumped into the air and spit a ball of acid toward the door. It melted quickly and Twilight stood outside, a hoof extended about to open the now dissolved door. "Oopsies." Uvel said, giving his most adorable look. He got on his hind legs, put his hands on his lower jaw, and opened his mouth. His eyes started shining, and Twilight looked at him, the D'awwww was too much to take. Uvel watched as she sat down a tray of of odd looking cake things. Uvel opened his mouth wider and walked over to the cakes. His tongue, which looked like a giant worm in his mouth, stuck out and engulfed one of the cupcakes. His tongue quickly dissolved the food and he drank it like a liquid. He still tasted every bit of it though, and he quickly ate the rest of the cupcakes and even accidentally dissolved the tray in his mouth.
He burped and looked up at Twilight, his hunger gone he showed his affection by hugging one of her front legs. Twilight looked down at him with a caring smile, she would have to buy another door and a sofa, but she could not stay or even become mad at Uvel. He barely knew exactly what he was doing most of the time, but she knew he had some intelligence in that head of his. He hadn't melted the entire library. So that meant something to Twilight. Uvel let go of Twilight's leg and let out another bugle sound, waving his tail into the air. Twilight giggled and looked down at Uvel.
"Si Itov Wux." Uvel said, talking in that odd language that Twilight can never figure out. She had gone through countless language dictionaries and books but found nothing, Uvel spoke again. "Vinxa" He said, curling up on the small nest Twilight had brought up to the main floor.

Twilight watched as Uvel fell asleep on his nest. She walked over to him to kiss his head when she started to feel an immense magical presence. She looked down at Uvel, who was squirming around. That usually meant he was having a nightmare. She picked up the nest with Uvel in it and placed it at the foot of her bed. She walked back down into the main room and looked at the door. It actually didn't dissolve completely and she was able to pick up the rest with her magic and fix it with some wood she found lying around. The sofa would have to be replaced, but overall everything was fine. Twilight heard Uvel muttering something and walked back into her room. She looked down to see him sweating, and was squirming more. "Svent Astahi Shio." He kept saying over and over. She wondered so much what it meant, but she didn't have the heart to go rooting through his thoughts with a memory spell. She would probably find out sooner or later.
Author's Note! Sorry for the short chapter, just wanted to get Uvel's dreams across. Next chapter will be at least 2,000 words.
Twilight sat up, an odd sound had come from the main room. She walked over to her door and opened it, peering down the stairs. Spike was looking at the destroyed sofa, his pack had slumped to the floor. His mouth hang open, and he looked around. He and Twilight locked yes, and Twilight walked down the stairs. "Twilight what happened in here?!" Spike asked, his eyes widening at all the carnage across the library.
"Shh, you might wake up Uvel." Twilight said to Spike, who sent her a confused look. Twilight sighed and waved a hoof, "Just follow me." Twilight walked up the stairs and pointed a hoof at Uvel, who was sitting in his tiny nest fast asleep. Spike almost fainted.
"Umm, what is that?" He finally mustered words.
"That creature, Kog'Maw, laid an egg. Well, Uvel was the outcome of said egg." Twilight said.
"So you have been taking care of him?" Spike asked. "Does anypony even know about him?"
"No, you and me are the only ones." Twilight said, walking over to Uvel. He was squirming again, and kept muttering the same three words.
"Svent Astahi Shio." He mumbled, shifting over. Twilight gave him a caring smile and looked over to Spike, who was looking a bit pale.
"Is something wrong Spike?" Twilight said, her smile fading as worry grew.
"Oh nothing really, other than the fact that he just said Kill Them All in Draconic." Spike answered calmly, and then fell to the ground losing consciousnesses. Twilight gasped and looked down at Uvel, who kept muttering the three words of and over.
"Svent Astahi Shio. Svent Astahi Shio. Svent Astahi Shio." He mumbled again and again. Twilight backed away from him until she felt her back touch the wall. She sat there in the darkness, on her haunches. She was terrified now, why would Uvel be saying such words? Isn't he a peaceful creature? Many questions floated through her mind, and she slowly slipped into sleep.
* * *
Uvelucal sat in a dark room, several figures approaching him from the darkness. Something in his mind was telling him to kill them.
Kill Them All. They wish to hurt you son, you must kill them.
The voice was echoing through Uvel's mind as the pony looking creatures approached. The first was Twilight Sparkle, who had a gentle smile on her face. Uvel looked up in joy and ran up to her. He hugged one of her forelegs. "Si itov wux, dask." He said, looking up.
She will betray you, and you alone will fend for life.
Uvel looked up and saw Twilight holding a knife in her hoof. She brought it down and, Uvel acting upon instinct, spat acid at the knife. The acid hit the knife and splashed the area, showering acid on Twilight's hoof and the ground. She recoiled in pain as the acid melted her fur and skin, until there was nothing but bone. Uvel started crying, "Si mi bavai, dask!" cried, looking up at her. Twilight had a look of hate in her eyes.
They will all betray you, one at a time. Do not show them mercy.
The second figure emerged from the darkness, she was a tan pony with a few apples on her flank. On her head sat a stetson cowboy hat, and in her mouth she held a lasso. She twirled the lasso and threw it, Uvel dodged and fire acid. it collided with her hat and melted into her head. She screamed out and slumped to the ground. The blood flowing freely from the wound as the acid melted into her brain. In about five seconds her brain was a green mush of acid and slime. Twilight held the knife in the other hoof, and brought it down again. This time it impacted on Uvel's foot, sticking him to the ground. The third figure stepped forward, a pink pony with a cotton candy mane. Her eyes were small and her hair was completely straight. She had on a white uniform that had blood stains on it. She pulled out a tray and offered a cupcake to him.
Do not trust them, they will only bring your downfall.
Uvel looked up and frowned, he bit the knife and jerked upward. The knife blade was planted itself into one of her eyes, and she fell backward and screamed. Uvel jumped on top of her and bit down, the teeth like blades on his tongue cutting into her skin as she yelled for mercy. The blood spilled out, and he kept regurgitating acid spit in which he pumped into her stomach, liquefying her organs with each painful second. Finally, she stopped moving entirely and looked up at him with a crooked smile. "You're just like us, little Uvel. Just as sick and twisted as us. Embrace your insanity." Her eyes rolled back into her head as purple liquid flowed out of her mouth and various wounds. Uvel jumped back, but it was too late. The pink mare exploded and Uvel was ripped limb from limb by the explosion.
Trust none of them, or your death will come quick to you.

Into the Belly of the Beast
The smell of the forest was all around him, he was very annoyed. Ever since he had been thrown into this world by the creature named Discord his new life had been hell. Several champions had landed inside Ponyville, but many others had been thrown all across Equestria. And now he was stuck here, in this place called Everfree Forest. With absolutely nothing for him to eat. He could have gotten out, the orb could have saved him from this horrible world, but the nearer he got to the blue orb the more intense the pain got.
The closer he got to the orb, the more pain had filled his torso. When he got within even one hundred fifty feet, the pain had nearly blown the black heart right out of his chest. He was unable to deal with a pain so strong. After all the battles he fought in, all the skirmishes and frays, of all the deaths he had been through nothing had ever hurt that much. He felt weak, he should have been able to escape this wretched place. And now he was starving, the only creatures here were wolves made from wood and the numerous small animals. He had also heard something about "Manticores" but he had yet to see one.
"Ahh but there is no time to pity oneself in times like these." In the silence, his voice was all he had. "Ok, let's go over our equipment one more time. Two scythes, shoulder spikes, wings, and camouflage abilities." They were all the advantages of being the Void Reaver, and Kha'Zix exploited them constantly. Although, the only change in his abilities here is that instead of his skin turning red as it usually does when he finds himself at full power, it stayed its darker purple. It is a welcome surprise though, since he blends in easier.
Rustle Rustle
Kha'Zix looked up, something had been watching him the entire time. He went completely camo, and looked around. 'There, yellow dots.' Kha'Zix thought, he had come up with ways to track the various predators in the forest. This seemed different however, the eyes were much higher up. Kha'Zix leaped from his spot right at the creature. He came down hard with his right scythe, creating a good sized gash across the thing's head. It fell back and roared, "Ah, finally a large predator to fight." Kha'Zix's voice seemed to scare the thing. He thrust his scythes into the ground and felt the tingling sensation as three spikes left his shoulder.
As the beast turned to run, one of the spikes impaled right into its eye, boring a six inch bloody hole right in the beast's head. Kha'Zix stuck a scythe into its back and brought it to the clearing where Kha'Zix kept his "house". His house was just a small lakeside cave, it sat on the south side of an L shaped lake, a tree went over the lake to the other side and several trees crowded the area. The creature at hand, or in this case scythe, had the head of a lion, bat wings, a scorpion tail, and fangs. But those were not what interested Kha'Zix so much, no the one thing that Kha'Zix was focused on was that giant torso.
"Meat! So much meat for me to eat!" Kha'Zix yelled proudly, before plunging his head into the creature's chest. The meat was delicious, a delicious intestine covered, bloody mess of organs and of course blood. Kha'Zix ate the entirety of the its torso and didn't stop until he could see all of its ribs poking out. Kha'Zix was pleased, almost happy. But no, he would never be happy he was stuck in a world of colored talking ponies. All of which wanted to either kill him or be his friend. Though none of them showed signs of actually being able to kill him and live with it. "No friends, only allies and Adversaries." Kha'Zix kept telling this to himself, and the more he said it the more he felt alone in the world. Which to him was perfectly fine since he had been alone during most of his time in the Void. Still though, something about this world made him feel too alone and depressed. The happiness around him filled him with a large amount of dread.
He had tried to live in the place called Ponyville but nopony or body there seemed like they wanted his presence.
Crunch...Crunch...Crunch
The sound of leaves being crushed underfoot was barely audible, but Kha'Zix could hear it well. 'More food for me.' Was the thought going through his mind as he went invisible and walked over to the sound. He pushed away some bushes. Twang 'What the...' Kha'Zix looked over and saw a deer with an arrow in its side. A woman with a gold trimmed ornate cloak walked over as a man walked up beside her.
"Good shot Ashe, we can add that one to the stock." The man had a large sword hoisted onto his shoulder sitting on a piece of armor. He had many scars across his body and seemed like he had had his fair share of battles. The woman turned around and smiled.
"Yes Tryndamere, it will make a fine addition to our supply." Ashe said, Kha'Zix had just arrived at the League and didn't know many of the warriors that fought for the League. He had heard of several of them though, and it would appear that these two adventurers were King Tryndamere and Queen Ashe. Nobody actually knew if they were together, but Ashe would always dismiss such talk as frivolous. This never stopped Kha'Zix from making fun of the two though, even if he was a dangerous bloodthirsty void creature he still had a good sense of humor.
Ashe turned around, pointing her bow into the woods that surrounded the area. Several glowing eyes cast out from the foliage. Most likely a pack of wandering Timber Wolves wanting his share of meat from the now dead deer. Tryndamere hefted his sword to his shoulder. He let out a loud yell, and some of the eyes retracted into the forest. Several of the more courageous wolves met Tryndamere's penetrating gaze. Kha'Zix didn't get it, how could a normal human mortal be so intimidating just by shouting or yelling at something. Kha'Zix found himself frozen to the spot when he heard the shout from behind him, or he just couldn't seem to move fast enough.
Ashe started walking to the west as Tryndamere hefted the deer onto his shoulder. Kha'Zix cloaked, following completely silent. They passed by many streams, caves, and random ravines. They walked on a slightly worn dirt path that seemed old, there were several curves in the path and a couple of times it disappeared. Thankfully, Ashe seemed to be holding on to several years of tracking skills. Finally, after about thirty minutes of walking, they reached a cabin in the woods. It was a two story cabin made of wood. It was a true thing of human architecture, the were several "C"s cut into the wood, on the the door there was a scene depicting two teams of five murdering each other.
The two hunters stopped at the door and Ashe turned around. Tryndamere cut a large section from the deer and turned around. "Here, have some meat beast." He said as he threw the chunk of meat at Kha'Zix's feet. Confused, he uncloaked himself and looked at them both.
"How did you know I was here?" He said, stabbing the piece of meat with a scythe.
"We have fought you many times before, I have gotten used to tracking you while invisible." Said Ashe as she pushed open the door, the two walked inside and Kha'Zix started back off in the direction of his "home". As he was walking through the forest, however, he swore he heard someone talking. It was just a small whisper, but it sounded familiar.
Follow me...
He was definitely not hearing things. Kha'Zix quickly ate the deer meat and started off in the direction of the sound. It was not a hard sound to follow, every few seconds the voice would say something different such as "come quickly" or "Hurry". Every time it said something it got louder so Kha'Zix knew he was getting closer to the destination. He stumbled upon a ravine with a broken rope bridge that had seen better days. Kha'Zix easily leaped to the other side of the gap with his wings. A decrepit old castle sat before him with a door that looked as though it had been broken through from the inside, but had been fixed afterward. There was a bloodstain that lead from the center of the yard to a couple bushes. The whispering called him from inside.
Kha'Zix stepped through the doorway and saw several lit torches lining the inside room. It was a large throne room with two doors that supposedly lead to the short towers that he saw outside. What interested him more though, was the gathered figures resting around a lit fire. Kha'Zix approached them and quickly saw that one of them was not sitting. She was well remembered by Kha'Zix. The Dark Sovereign, Syndra floated in the middle of the gathered Champions. She smiled as Kha'Zix approached them, earning him a few smiles and frowns.
There were nine of them there, most of them Kha'Zix had fought with and against in the past. There were a few new faces though. One of the more noticeable was The Blood Hunter that sat to Syndra's left. Warwick, the bloodthirsty werewolf that could not be pleased. He hunted for fun some times, but most the time he eats what he catches. Kha'Zix remembered an old story the Champions passed around about him eating a manatee or something, then wearing its skin for the next two weeks signifying the kill.
Next to Warwick sat Katarina, The Sinister Blade. Next to her there was Nocturne, The Eternal Nightmare. Near him sat Kassadin, The Void Walker, Kha'Zix had talked to him quite a bit in the Void. To his left sat Karthus, The Deathsinger. Then there was Shaco, The Demon Jester. After him was Mordekaiser, The Master of Metal. Finally, at the end of the circle sat The Twisted Treant, Maokai. Syndra smiled at Kha'Zix and motioned for him to sit, he happily obliged. Standing and walking for long periods of time was boring and tiring. "Kha'Zix, I have called you here today to discuss the fate of this land. It is frail and even a small force of Champions would be able to destroy it and claim it as their own. I have called you here to ask if you will join our group, we could use another to aid us in taking the land from that wretch, Celestia."
Kha'Zix was baffled, taken aback, flabbergasted, other synonyms for surprised. Syndra was obviously crazy, sure they might be able to get passed Celestia's elite force of guards, invade the highest security castle, and then defeat the strongest creature in this world and possibly her sister as well. Yes, this would be the easiest thing to accomplish, right next to saying things sarcastically. Kha'Zix shook his head. "I will not join you, as tempting as it would be to take over Equestria, I do not wish to be killed in the process."
Syndra narrowed her eyes, and the pain came back. He remembered it perfectly, the same pain he had endured when he got close to the orb to leave this world. His wings flew open from his chitin, his scythes glowed purple, and the spikes on his shoulder fired. Syndra could only smile as the pain increased, flowing throughout his body and reaching unimaginable heights. Kha'Zix let out a pained roar. Then, as quick as it appeared, it stopped. His muscles eased back and he regained control of his body again.
"I was the one who kept you in this world for the soul purpose of helping us, if you deny me again I will kill you off." Syndra's words carried venom in them, that threatened to bite Kha'Zix and leave him for dead. He was trapped, it was die by Syndra's or die trying to kill Celestia. At least on the latter he would live longer. Kha'Zix nodded his head and recollected himself from the pain. Syndra waved a hand. "Let it be known that you now belong to me and the Sovereign League. You are to address me as master at all times and treat your superiors with undying respect. Got that?"
Kha'Zix wished he had let Syndra kill him, but no turning back now. "Yes.....master. Syndra waved a hand and Kha'Zix's left shoulder burned, steam rising off from the chitin as a mark melted itself into his exoskeleton. It was a Sword in the middle of two halves of a round, dark ball. In each half of the ball there was a letter. S and L adorned the halves respectively.
"This mark is the mark of a grunt, the lowest status, if you wish to rank up you must perform the contracts I give to you. Never disobey or question an order. Understand?"
"Yes, master."
Kha'Zix stalked through the shadows, maneuvering around the garden. Three days ago, Kha'Zix had been "enslaved" by Syndra and her stupid Sovereign Legion. Now, Kha'Zix was to sneak through Canterlot Castle and retrieve Syndra's confiscated items. When she first came to this land she was taken in by the Solar Guard for questioning. When she answered with spheres of dark matter, they pushed her from the castle. In her haste to leave she forgot her backpack of items which contained most of her spellbooks and weapons. So she assigned Kha'Zix to go get said backpack.
He was currently walking down a hall on the south wing which leads to the mess hall for the Lunar Guard. As he approached the corner, he heard sounds of chatting and laughing from inside. He quickly cloaked and looked around the corner. There were three guards sitting at a table with various plates that once held food and several empty mugs. The smell of hay pancakes and cider were heavy in the air.
One of the guards got off of his chair and started to walk towards the door, stumbling several times. About four feet from the doorway he emptied his stomach contents and fell over in them. Kha'Zix smacked his forehead with a scythe. A familiar voice brought back his attention from a table over in the corner of the room. Three guards sat with cards in their hands, all looking at each other as well as the bipedal creature at the table suspiciously. He was wearing a gold trimmed coat that went down to his knees. On his head sat a well trimmed hat with an ornate band around the top. A card sat strapped into the band and the man had a beard that went from the sides of his head down to the chin. He wore a devious smile, the last feature Kha'Zix could see was his nose. The rest of his features were hidden by his hat.
"Alright! Let's see you beat this!" One of the guards yelled out as he showed his hand, the other guards groaned and threw their cards down. The man just showed his hand to the guard. Thunk. The sound echoed through the large room, as the guard's forehead met the table. The man stood up and grabbed the large amount of currency at the middle of the table. "How could you possibly be that lucky?" The pony asked as the man walked away from the table.
"I never tell my secrets."
The pony just huffed and walked over to the counter and returned to his meal, long delayed by a game of cards. Kha'Zix took a step away from the doorway as the man walked through. Halfway down the hall, the man stopped and turned around. In the middle of his turn his hand slid into his coat and he threw a gold card straight at Kha'Zix. The card hit him square in the forehead, and he found that he couldn't move. Kha'Zix knew exactly who this man was, having only fought him a few times. Twisted Fate walked right up to him and smiled. Kha'Zix uncloaked and glared at Twisted Fate.
"How did you know I was here? Did 'Fate' tell you?" He asked in a mocking tone. Twisted Fate just laughed and shuffled his deck.
"It ain't Fate, it's Destiny." He said, knocking on the wall. The guards looked over to him and stared at Kha'Zix for a moment before realizing the situation. Kha'Zix felt the ability to move again, and as the guards started walking towards him he bolted down the opposite hall. He could hear the guards running after him, shouting as they went.
"Stop criminal scum, you violated the law!" Sadly, the guards had failed to notice the passed out body of their friend, and they all slipped in his body fluid. Squish. The sound was sickening as the guards fell over in the large puddle, Twisted Fate just sidestepped to avoid getting his coat dirty. One of the guards, who had been running as fast as possible when he hit the slick, fell to his back and started spinning on the ground. Kha'Zix saw this as Gregas' words went through his mind, 'Do a Barrel Roll!'
Kha'Zix felt his legs give out from under him as the puke-bullet stallion slammed into his legs. He fell backwards onto the poor guard and into the muck himself. The guard slid Kha'Zix and hit one of the pillars, finally halting his progress. Twisted Fate facepalmed and shook his head. Kha'Zix stood up after a few seconds and started continued down the hallway. He turned a corner and saw several doors at each side of the corridor. On the wall held a sign which pointed to a door down the hall that said "Evidence Chest."
'Really? They secure items from criminals and then mark the room so that anyone can find it? These ponies are not the brightest creatures.' Kha'Zix thought as he walked through the door. A guard sat asleep in a chair next to a chest that was full to brim and cracked open. Kha'Zix spied the pack instantly and silently walked over to the chest. He tipped open the lid and looked down at the pack. He moved his arm down to pick up the bag. He looked down, and found he was trying to grab the bag with a scythe. 'I don't have hands...of course.'
Kha'Zix slipped his scythe into the straps and pulled the pack onto his back. He slowly walked past the sleeping guard, and out into hall. He closed the door and stopped. 'If I couldn't pick up the backpack, how did I just grab the doorknob?' Kha'Zix stood there, stymied. He slowly walked away from the door and continued down the hallway and came to a slightly larger room that had only one door. The room had several plants in it, and vines covered in thorns. He looked over to the door and saw out a window next to it. Outside sat a garden with small creatures roaming around it. Many large plants occupied the garden, most acting as houses for the creatures like rabbits. The vines were impossibly long, and most of them were covered in thorns.
Kha'Zix opened the door and stepped out into the garden, avoiding all the sharp thorns. He walked down the least path with the least thorns and saw a gate that led out of the castle. 'Finally, I can hurry up and get back to Syndra.' As he neared the gate, vines stretched across the ground and covered up the doorway. Kha'Zix turned around and started surveying the area, but he came up with nothing. Suddenly, one of the plants wrapped around his ankle and pulled him down. He struggled to break free as the vine pulled him toward a large plant in the center of the garden. The plant opened up, revealing hundreds of barbs in the sides of the plant, with a yellow liquid at the bottom. Right before he was eaten, Kha'Zix was able to cut the vine with one of his scythes.
"You aren't going to get away that easily." The voice echoed through the garden, and the giant plant started to change. It took the shape of a human female. She was wearing the plants, either that or it was her skin. The plants and vines seemed to be drawn toward her, all bending toward the woman. A couple of vines coiled around her wrists and she looked at Kha'Zix with a hungry expression. "I must feed my plants, or they will wither and die. I have already agreed not to eat the creatures that live here and have been given permission to eat any trespassers."
Several vines rose up and fired seeds into the ground, and the seeds sprouted up as different species of plants. Upon sprouting, some started fire thorns at Kha'Zix, which were not easy to dodge, but they weren't able to break through his Chitin. "I am not to be your meal today, creature. Go prey on something as weak as you." Kha'Zix said, ripping through some of the plants. The woman replied by coiled plants around a thorn shooting plant, making it bigger. It fired, and the thorn penetrated Kha'Zix's chitin easily.
"You may have thorns, but you aren't the only one." Kha'Zix said as he dropped to one knee. The spikes on his shoulders shuddered, and then shot forth. The first one ripped through the plant, cutting it to ribbons. The second struck the woman in the shoulder, drawing blood and causing her to recoil. The third planted itself into the wall behind the her. The girl smiled and threw up her arm, one of the thicker vines followed suit and whipped Kha'Zix in an uppercut. He stumbled backward into a patch of vines that wrapped themselves around his legs, stopping his movement.
Kha'Zix looked up for just long enough to see a large amount of brambles and twisted thickets surging toward him like a giant wave from the ocean. The wall of plants rammed into him, sending him flying into the air. As he fell through the air he flared his wings, only to find that the putrid filth from the guard had moistened them far too much for flight. During his descent, a vine latched onto his mid section and pulled down, impacting him to the ground with much greater force. Crack Several sounds of breaking filled the air as the vine unraveled itself from Kha'Zix. His vision started to blur, and he was barely able to bring himself to his feet.
He blindly fired off more spikes, they impacted a target near his front and the mist that emanated from the spike's explosion soaked into Kha'Zix chitin and skin. This allowed him relief from the pain and his vision straightened a little. A new sight became visible in his sight as well. With all her helpful plants gone, the girl was glowing an outline of purple. Kha'Zix smiled, she was weakened and isolated. This was not going to end well for her. He charged forward, and his scythes took up a purple glow as he turned invisible. It felt different this time though, usually when he cloaked it was just a normal cloak easily maintained. This put the feeling of pure malice that was seeking an enemy.
The feeling of an even more powerful adrenaline pulsed through his veins as his chitin turned from dark purple to an even darker red. The rage overtook his and he leaped, the filth on his wings was thrown off in the speed of his jump and he flew right at the girl. "GRRRRAAAAWWWRR!" He landed on her with a yell and a growl, his scythes sinking into her stomach. The red pulse on his scythes emptied into her and for a moment her skin burned a sickly red. He opened her mouth to scream, but it did not come. Kha'Zix wasted no time in taking a bite out of his enemy, the girl's blood was partially different from actual blood with it's plant DNA, but it satisfied just as well.
Kha'Zix bit down onto her face, grabbing her chin with his bottom jaw and the top jaw landing on her forehead. He pushed down with all his force, and the skull cracked under the weight. Crunch The sound of her skull and teeth cracking and breaking into hundreds of tiny pieces rang out before fading into the night sky. Kha'Zix ravaged the body with bites, savoring the kill and regaining his strength. When he was done, he walked over to the gate and kicked it down. He proceeded to walk out of the castle grounds and through the alleyways that took up most of Canterlot.
'Maybe Syndra will show some respect now, I did just kill someone that would get in her way and retrieve her backpack.' Kha'Zix walked happily through the streets and alleys of Canterlot, he would get back to the forest and get his bits from Warwick, who bet that he wouldn't be able to do it. As he cheerily walked toward the railroad that led out of Canterlot, only one thought was going through his mind.
'I never thought I would go Vegan.'
And now back to our Feature Presentation
Uvel looked up at the sun through the window in Twilight's room. He had woken up in the room by himself, the door locked, and all the other exits sealed. Occasionally the door would open a crack and put in food and drink for him. 'Of course, double crossed by my own mother and made a prisoner.' The dream kept coming back to him, and Kog'Maw's words seemed real. Betrayed by the ones he loved. He had also heard another voice behind the door, most likely the dragon that served as Twilight's assistant. The book that Uvel had found under Twilight's bed said that his name was Spike.
The sunlight that shone through the balcony mocked him with promise of false hope. Uvel tried, once again, to melt the wall with his acid. He was met with the same result, the spell on the tree would completely vaporize every ounce of the liquid. Uvel was filled with a mix of feelings. He sat there, on the soft bed of his former mother, thinking. Tink, Whoosh
The noise interrupted his thoughts, and caused him to look toward the sound. Something had hit the door that led to the balcony, and now it now stood ajar. 'Something must have opened the door from outside.' Uvel thought to himself, 'This might be a way out!' He jumped off the bed and scurried toward the door. Filled with hope, he ran through and looked over the edge. Something was staring at him from the shadows behind the house. It moved its hand in a gesture that meant to follow it. Uvel steeled himself and jumped off the balcony, landing in a bush beside the house.
The creature stared down with one feline eye and ran off toward the Everfree Forest, when the beast stepped into the light it appeared only as a disoriented part of the air. It ran to the forest, stopped at the treeline, and waved a hand toward it before running into the woods. Uvel turned back to look at Golden Oaks Library one last time, and ran off toward the trees. A feminine scream came from behind him as he headed into the forest. The sound of frantic hoofsteps and much screaming emitted from behind him as he finally met with a humid tree covered path that led deep into the trees. He tripped several times, and after falling down a hole his frustration hit it's limit. He moved back up to the surface and let loose on the surrounding trees, melting them and destroying the ground around them.
Black and green sludge flowed across the ground in sickening streams, melting into the dirt and making holes that cut into the earth. He stopped for a second and the creature run past him, showing a path through what remained of the trees. Uvel scurried after it, following the blur through the bush and vegetation. Uvel started to hear the faint clicking of metal behind him, as well as a few deep voices talking to each other. He pushed himself forward, forcing his legs to move faster. Of course, since his body took up about eighty-four percent of his body, he didn't move very fast and had stubby legs. The clanking sound got louder, urging him to continue.
He hit something, and stopped there. Looking up, the sunlight was reflecting off the creature he was following. It had stopped and was listening to the clanking. It grabbed something from its side, a rope with balls at the end, which had small metal hooks on each ball. The beast threw it behind Uvel into the brush, and the sound of something falling down came from the shrubs. The light changed, and Uvel felt himself being picked up. The two charged through the forest, slashing and melting the trees that got in their way, since they had long veered off the dirt path.
A feeling of falling occurred to Uvel, and he took in his surroundings. Or at least he would have if he hadn't just fallen into a river. Uvel opened his eyes underwater, the sting of salt water burning his eyes and leaving him confused. Suddenly, he was lifted from the water in a bubble, and saw a half woman half fish creature with a staff lifting him and the other creature from the water. The other creature was now visible, and very upset at getting soaked in water. It was thrashing around try to escape from the odd salt water river. It had white fur, one good eye, a sword in its sheath, two blades attached to the creature's left arm, and it was wearing an odd assortment of leather clothing with a mix of armor.
Uvel did his best to stifle a laugh, and the woman set them both down onto the river bank beside her. "Come on, we may not be the bad guys, but try explaining that to the Royal Guards." The woman said in an annoyed tone as she started floating through the treeline. Uvel and the cat creature follow her as she went, and after a few minutes, the woman stopped. She was staring at some kind of opaque shield, which looked to be the top of a semi-circle. It looked to go on for quite at while at the sides, until curving off into another direction. "This way. Rengar help our little friend through." She said.
The cat, which Uvel presumed was Rengar, picked him up and calmly walked through the barrier. The woman followed after him and Uvel got a tingling feeling as he passed through the slightly blue barrier. Uvel looked back, and saw three guards stop at the shield, staring at them with malice. They began to trot away, and disappeared into the treeline. The fish woman laughed, "The guards can't pass the shield, since they aren't Champions. My name's Nami by the way." She smiled as the three of them walked toward a large structure made of stone and crystal.
Six floating statues holding staffs surrounded a crystal that was shaped like a diamond in the middle, being around it gave Uvel a feeling of happiness and victory, wherever his enemies lie. Nami and Rengar led him into a building made of marble that had a curved top and pillars supporting the roof along with walls of finely chiseled marble. The doors were made of fine mahogany with gold knobs. Upon entrance, Uvel saw what looked like a council gathered together. Champions that he recalled from Kog'Maw's memories sat in chairs discussing small problems within the encampment.
At the head of the council currently sat a man wearing a leather jacket. His hair was blonde and had two triangles under his eyes. He was discussing problems with the power systems around the camp, while other Champions sat around him, thinking over the problem and waiting their turn at the head of the council. Nami walked toward the middle of the council and spoke up, "We brought the little one." The man looked down at Uvel and smiled.
"Well aren't you a cute little fella?" He said, in a mocking tone, Uvel frowned.
"I'm going to melt your face off." He calmly said, and the man scowled.
"We can improve your attitude later, right now you have to get ready. The other champions that came here are plotting to take it over, while all the others have remained neutral up to this point. It's time to pick a side." He said, looking around as the others in the council nodded their approval. Nami smiled, and Rengar started fiddling with his belt. A Champion in golden armor, with wings sprouting from its back spoke up in a female voice.
"If we have any chance of stopping the other Champions, then we need to win over the favor of all the neutral Champions to fight for our side! Syndra already has quite the fighting force, and we need all the help we can get to stop her." She said, sitting down once again. One of the other Champions rose from his seat, covered in armor with a large sword sitting next to him or Garen, as Kog'Maw's memories depict. He stood with demeanor and courage.
"There is also the problem with the uh...darker champions." He said, which caused much chatter amongst the Champions. A few tried to quiet the others down, but to no avail. "Quiet, quiet people. I wasn't done." Garen said, looking around, daring anyone to meet his eyes. "Very well, as it seems the other champions have also crafted their own Nexus, and if they continue to gain power then a war might be on our hands. Now as I was saying with the darker of the champions, the magic in this world is affecting their behavior and altering their physical form, as well as their natural abilities."
Several champions nodded, many with a glint of understanding in their eyes. The man at the front looked around again, before stepping down from the podium and allowed another to step up. Nami tapped Uvel and started out the building. Uvel followed her, but Rengar stayed in the building talking with someone in a blue ninja suit. As they walked through the camp, Uvel watched several champions walk around. Most likely on their way to do tasks assigned to them. A few were watching the Nexus, writing down notes and a few were walking around the barrier shooing off the local wildlife.
Uvel watched with interest as a few champions threw punches and kicks at target dummies, while others fired off spells and miscellaneous projectiles at wooden targets hundreds of yards away. Suddenly, Nami grabbed Uvel and dived to the ground, covering her ears. Several yells split the air as something flew threw the sky and impacted a target dummy. A loud explosion ripped through the general quiet and sent shrapnel and dirt in all directions. A female stood up, wearing light armor adorned with many Suns, she turned around and yelled, "DANGIT ZIGGS! Warn us before you do that!" Her words were followed by crazed laughter as everyone went back to their normal activities, muttering the occasional curse.
Nami shook her head and frowned, "I swear, he's going to seriously hurt someone one of these days. He constantly blows up dummies and even sets tents on fire." Uvel followed close behind, his ears ringing from the explosion. He muttered several insults to himself and followed Nami through the encampment. She stopped at a rectangular tent with a sign on it that simply said "Barracks". She floated in and pointed to a small bed near the back of the tent in a dark corner. "That's your new bed. Don't like it? Too bad, we all have to sleep on them. Well, except for me, I sleep in a pond." She said, yawning in the process.
"You'll probably be assigned a job tomorrow, as everybody is. You'd better get some sleep, the work gets tiring on the first day. I'm going back to my pond. Night." Nami then proceeded to float lazily out of the barracks tent, and went on her way. The Sun dipped below the horizon, turning the sky a beautiful violet. Uvel looked at his bed, yawning quietly and watched as a few other champions walked into the tent and muttered good nights to each other before falling into sleep's embrace. Following their example, Uvel plopped down onto the bed in the same manner of a pancake. It didn't take very long for him to fall asleep, but dark dreams awaited him.
The light streamed through the opening on the front of the tent, urging the first of those sleeping to awaken. In turn, they awoke the ones less covered in light, and finally, they awoke the champions sleeping at the back of the tent. Uvel felt a scaled hand touched his back, pulling his from his slumber. He shook it off, attempting to fall into sleep's clutches once again, but whoever it was trying to wake him would have none of that.
Uvel felt the bed being lifted up from under him, and then was shaken with such strength that Uvel fell to the floor. He groaned in pain as he picked himself up from the dirt, some of it deciding to stick to his face. A sharp voice cut through his sleepy daze, "Get up, it's your first official day at the camp and you need to complete the tasks assigned to you. Get to the Hall and receive your duties!" The person walked out of the tent and followed a few others to the Main Hall. Uvel thought it would be intelligent to follow, so he walked slowly behind the others while wiping the remnants of sleep from his eyes.
'Not exactly the nicest reception on my first day in camp, I'll make sure he suffers...someday.' He thought to himself, walking towards the building he had visited yesterday. Several champions had already lined up near the door, talking to someone at a podium. The person at the podium looked like a giant monkey, wearing red ornate armor along with an armored skirt. A staff sat against the podium as he read a crisp scroll off to the people assembled.
"Kayle and Taric, you get to guard Brand's cell for the day. Caitlyn, Vi, and Graves, you three patrol the camp barrier. Renekton and Nasus, you two get to do the laundry, have fun." He paused to watch as the champions that were given their duties marched off, "Alright, Heimerdinger, Corki, and Rumble are on Nexus Maintenance. Lee Sin and Karma will be taking inventory on the armory while Akaili, Kennen, and Shen stand guard outside it." He looked down the scroll one last time and surveyed the crowd. "The new guy, Uvel, will help with demolition on the damaged building to the east of the camp. Lux and Riven, you two go with him. Ok people, everybody get busy, your duties must be completed by the end of the day or you will not be allowed sleep until the job is done, just like usual."
The monkey leaped down from the podium, grabbed his staff, and walked into the building as the crowd dispersed. Uvel turned around to see Lux and Riven staring at him from the gate that led east. He realized that they were waiting for him, and ran to catch up to them. As he neared, Lux gave a thumbs up to Jarvan, who pulled the lever and raised the gate. Riven and Lux walked through the gate just as Uvel caught up, panting as he slowed to a walk. Lux giggled at him and Riven just smiled.
Riven looked back at him, a questioning gaze appearing on her face, "So how are you supposed to help us with demo?" She asked, eliciting a gasp and a frown from Lux.
"That wasn't very nice, Riven. He's the son of Kog'Maw. He shoots acid at the building, we put the goop in buckets, and deposit them in the nearby forest where the trees will absorb the mixture and turn it into nutrients," a smile came to her face, "We can get rid of the old building in no time, feed the trees of the forest, and be done in time to chill out for the rest of the day. Uvel just made our job easier." At this she yawned, " It's been three days and we still haven't finished. I'm really, really tired." Riven just shrugged and nodded as they neared the decrepit remains of a large building that resembled the armory.
Lux stopped and looked around, "This was the armory before we were attacked while activating the Nexus, the barrier didn't come up fast enough to stop Veigar's dark matter from annihilating half the building. Since then we moved all the weapons, but this building is still a hazard that could come down at any moment on top of someone, so our job is to take it down ourselves. Unfortunately for us, the building is bigger than Cho'Gath when he gets hungry, so progress on taking it down has been slow." Thud
Lux and Uvel looked over at Riven, who lay on the ground snoring loudly. Lux frowned and kicked her, rousing her from her brief sleep. "We haven't been allowed to sleep for days, and we really hope that you can help us get this thing down quickly, think you can do that?" Uvel looked into Riven and Lux's pleading eyes and sighed. He really didn't have a choice, so, much to the girls' delight he nodded. They walked over the former armory and began their work, slicing, frying, and melting the rubble that once housed the Champion's weapons.
After nearly five hours of tearing at the building, the three champions sat down to take a break. Uvel was sweating by this time and his stubby tail was in pain from a chunk of marble that had fallen from the roof. The two sitting near him looked even worse than he did, and were trying hard to stay awake. They had destroyed nearly seventy-five percent of the building and were almost done. After a few minutes, Uvel walked back to the remains and tried hard to concentrate. At his young age, all he could do was produce the acid, turning it into a projectile with his tongue took a large amount of energy and he was tired from the constant production of the hissing liquid.
He stood there and concentrated, sloshing the contents of his stomach around, with a push, he took good chunk of it from his stomach and sent it to his mouth, where he slathered it in acid and sent it flying toward the remaining rock and marble. The ball of digestive liquid and acid burned through, creating a trail of less effective liquid in its wake, which melted the rest. He panted, realized he had just finished the job, and fell to the ground in exhaustion. The sounds of the other two snoring filled the air as Uvel drifted off to sleep on the ground.
Red Glow silently sat in the North Canterlot Tower, watching as the building in the distance fell to the earth. He wrote down everything he saw, as his partner next to him started complaining again, "Why does the Princess want us to watch these guys anyway? They don't seem to be doing anything. It's soooo boring!" She stated, banging her head against the table. Red Glow shook his head, Violet Radiance was easily bored by surveillance missions.
Sitting in the tower, Red Glow and Violet Radiance were to write down anything that happened within the barrier that appeared around a forty mile radius. The North Canterlot Tower was not actually in Canterlot, but hidden in one of the mountains surrounding Ponyville, it was once used to warn if an enemy army was approaching. Now, though, the tower was one of many that sat around Ponyville watching the barrier, and the camp inside. Taken to the towers by carriage, the guards were not allowed to leave their posts until their commanding officers gave the all-clear.
As Red Glow watched the building fall to the ground, his mind started to wander. 'Violet is right, it is kinda boring just sitting here. Nothing ever happe- His thoughts were interrupted by a sudden pain in the back of his head. It escalated to the point that his entire body felt numb, and he fell over. He felt the world spin around him as a large insect like creature jumped off the tower. His last thought was how much paperwork he would have to do because of this, before drifting off to unconsciousness.
Violet, however, hadn't been hit as hard and was able to trick the creature into thinking she had also been knocked out. As soon as the beast left, she scrambled to the small handle hanging from the ceiling and pulled. The loud sound of bells tolling echoed across the valley, and soon several guards were getting ready for the threat. Far away, the lights of the castle began to illuminate one by one, as the Royal Guard awoke, ready to protect the citizens of Equestria.
Uvel awoke to the sound of bells, lots and lots of bells. The sound hurt his ears and he and his fellows roused from slumber. The lights and runes of the camp came to life, and the Turrets around the edges of the barrier glowed with power. Several champions ran for their posts as a dark cloud approached the outer wall of the barrier. Uvel, Lux, and Riven had already sprinted to the middle of the camp now, exhaustion replaced with adrenaline. The champions were arming themselves with their own personal weapons while the dark cloud gained speed, rushing at the barrier.
"The barrier wont hold against their combined power, we will have to send in a distraction squad while the rest of us flank the enemy from the battlements. Clear?" Ezreal asked, addressing everyone around him. Several nods of understanding passed around the group and a small pack of six champions, Kayle, Wukong, Taric, Lee Sin, Lux, and Riven ran at the cloud as it neared at high speeds. Everyone else settled into position around tress, wooden stockades, barricades, and walls as the sound of bells and yelling was slowly drowned out by the sound of marching hooves.
All the champions stopped as a large battalion of Royal Guards moved over one of the many hillsides at the west side of the forest, several meters behind the dark cloud. Uvel tried counting all the soldiers, but lost track at around eight hundred. The last thing the champions needed was a battle on three fronts, but as the dark cloud slammed into the barrier, bringing it down, everyone knew that battle was imminent.
