                   Chapter 1: Beginning

Chapter 1: Beginning
Dr. Eggman has been up to his old tricks again. This time, he built a whole city on an uninhabited island and called it "Eggmanland", the capital of the Eggman Empire. The whole city was meant to serve as a monument to the scientific genius that madman possesses and wants to use for world conquest. He even went as far as to build a giant statue of himself at the city's main gate. His robot armies guard the city from the doctor's arch-nemesis: a certain super-speedy blue hedgehog.
Currently, the mad mustached doctor was working on his latest scientific endeavor: to create a machine that would amplify the power of a Chaos Emerald and turn that energy into liquid fuel. Eggman stood looking over his machine with great pride.
The machine was a large and cylindrical structure that towered over the doctor. It had a large basin at the base of it that was meant to hold Chaos Emeralds. The Energy Liquifier, as Eggman called it, has internal machinations that would liquify the energy of the Emeralds.
"Ha! Once I turn a Chaos Emerald's energy into liquid fuel, I'll be able to create more of it to fuel my robots. I just need to make sure that hyperactive nuisance doesn't interrupt my plans this time.", the doctor said to himself.
At that moment, Orbot and Cubot entered the room. The doctor didn't know why he put up with these pathetic chrome-dome clods for as long as he has.
"Doctor, your latest creation looks fascinating!", Orbot said.
"Yeah! A real achievement for the great Ivo Robotnik!", Cubot complimented, calling the doctor by his real name.
"Of course it's a real achievement! This is a machine I built, after all.", the doctor responded. "Did you bring the Emerald?".
Orbot pulled out the Blue Chaos Emerald and handed it to Dr. Robotnik. "Right here, sir!".
Eggman took the Emerald and put it in his machine's Emerald container. The machine started to power up with a mechanical humming sound. The screen in front of him indicated that the machine was working! It was going to liquify the Emerald's infinite energy.
"Eureka! I did it! With this machine, I won't even need the other Emeralds. One will be all I need. With my Liquifier, I'll finally be able to realize my dream of building... the Eggman Empire!", the egg-shaped doctor exclaimed to his two robotic lackeys. Both of them started clapping.
"Hail the Eggman Empire, sir!", Cubot cheered.
"You've always got the master plan, boss!", Orbot cheered with more enthusiasm.
"Thank you! Thank you! You're all so kind. I just need to make sure that blasted blue rodent doesn't get his grubby little gloved hands on my-", Eggman said before being cut off by the sound of an explosion.
From where Dr. Eggman was looking, an explosion happened somewhere outside Eggmanland's main gate. Emerging from the pillar of smoke forming, he could see a familiar biplane flown by an equally familiar two-tailed fox. The doctor ground his teeth in anger.
"Blast! It's that horribly hyperactive hedgehog and his furry fandom-loving friends! Why are they always showing up to ruin a bad thing?! Even before one starts?!", Eggman yelled.
Dr. Eggman went over to the tower's control panel and held a small microphone to his mouth. "Attention! Soldiers of the Eggman Empire! This is a message from your commander: all available troops stop that cursed hedgehog!!", he ordered.
Eggman turned to see a squad of Egg Gunners enter the room where he himself was. Egg Gunners formed the backbone of his empire's army. The maintenance work at his various bases of operation were handled by his Egg Pawns, largely due to the fact that Egg Gunners had no fingers.
"I want you all to guard this room. If you see the hedgehog, kill on sight!", he ordered his troops. Eggman then turned to leave the room.
"Where are you going, doctor?!", Cubot asked. Dr. Eggman turned to his minion and smiled.
"I'm going to greet our ghastly guests.", the doctor replied icily.

With Sonic and his Friends
Sonic the Hedgehog. Everyone on the planet knows who he is. The hero who rolls around at the speed of sounds who defends justice and freedom for all. He makes it his duty to defend the world from threats like Dr. Eggman and his mech forces. Over his life, he's had to fight Eggman, the Zeti, some god of chaos born from the Master Emerald, and so on. Sonic's arch-enemy Dr. Eggman was who occupied Sonic's thoughts the most.
Eggman lost every battle they fought. Still, the bad doctor was persistent, Sonic had to give him that. Every time he beat the doctor, he would always come back with another big scheme to take over the world. And his robot armies would spread out to cause havoc and destruction at some place he wasn't present. But thanks to his friends, they were more than capable of stopping Eggman.
Sonic was running down one of the streets in this crazy metropolis of madness when he found himself confronting a large squad of Egg Gunners. The robots, being ordered to kill the hedgehog, all pointed their arm cannons at him. But before they could open fire, a projectile blew them all up. Sonic looked up see Tails giving him a thumbs-up from the Tornado.
"Alright! Thanks for the save, buddy!", Sonic shouted out to his best bro. A crashing sound came from his right.
Sonic ducked just in time to see a bashed robot flying over his head. A red echidna with boxing gloves and spiked fists appeared before Sonic with a serious expression. It was Knuckles the Echidna.
"Whoa, Knuckles! You hit a home run with that punch, buddy!", Sonic quipped to his other buddy. Knuckles just gave a smile.
"I was trying to see how far I could punch it," Knuckles responded.
"By the way, have you seen the girls?" Sonic asked.
As if one cue, two females landed in front of the hedgehog and echidna. One was a pink hedgehog wearing a red dress and holding a giant hammer. The other was a white bat wearing a one-piece dark purple suit with a pink heart-shaped breastplate accompanied with white gloves and boots. Yep, it was Amy Rose and Rouge the Bat.
"Sonic! Glad to see you're still in one piece!", Amy said after running up to Sonic and hugging him. Sonic returned the hug and gently let her go.
"Glad to see you're still okay, too! Any problems on your end?" Sonic asked the pair of females.
"An Egg Gunner almost blasted me to kingdom come! But thankfully, my big brave red knucklehead was able to take it out and save me.", Rouge said winking at Knuckles. The red echidna scoffed and looked away.
"That was just me thanking you for not trying to steal the Master Emerald for an entire week! Nothing more!", Knuckles said with a blush.
"You guys can flirt later. Right now, we need to take care of Eggman!", Sonic reminded his team.
Taking off at max speed, Sonic whizzed between the buildings until he found his target: Eggman's central command tower in the center of the city. After taking care of the Egg Gunners and Badniks in his way, he made it to the base of the tower where two large doors loomed over him. Sonic looked up to see a security camera fixed on him.
"Hey, Egghead!", Sonic called out. "Why don't you stop hiding and actually get a workout? Working in a lab all day can't be good for the cardio, dude.".
In response to his taunts, the doors opened to reveal... darkness. There was no light to be seen within the whole complex. Then, a flash of light appeared before the hedgehog. It was Dr. Eggman sitting in his Egg-Mobile. He alone was illuminated while the rest of his surroundings were still dark. The doctor grinned menacingly at his quilled opponent.
"Hello, you bothersome busybody!" the doctor greeted.
"Uh-oh. Whenever he gets like this, he has something pretty bad up his sleeve. I can't afford to be reckless here," Sonic thought to himself.
"So, I see you've built your own city for yourself, Egghead! It really suits you. Why don't you just rule over this island and leave the rest of the world alone? That sound fair?" Sonic said. Eggman just kept grinning.
"Because, my speedy adversary, I simply wish to have my genius recognized by the entire world. And what better way to do that than by conquering the world? My superior intellect is what gives me the right to rule. But you keep getting in my way. I know you've won every bout we've had over the years. But since this is my most ambitious project yet, I can't have you getting in my way this time!!", the doctor shouted before turning on all the lights.
The lights revealed a giant mech suit in the shape of a giant gorilla. Eggman's Egg-Mobile formed the top of its head. Sonic ran away from the door as the robot stepped outside and closed the door behind it. Suddenly, a force field covered the entirety of the tower.
The robot stood to it's full height and stood glaring at Sonic with red glowing eyes. Everything about this robot screamed "battle-ready". It was dark gray in color with thick armor plating. It's arms and legs were thick and powerful. The robot punched its fist into its hand and looked ready to fight.
"So, warthog, how do you like my newest combat robot, Egg-Kong?" Robotnik asked his furry foe from the speakers in the robot's mouth.
"It may be pretty big. But I doubt it can go as fast as me.", Sonic taunted before running around the robot's feet in a circle.
In a flash of movement, the robot kicked Sonic into one of the buildings. The hedgehog went crashing into the wall and went completely through four buildings before stopping at the fifth one.
"How's that for fast, you wretched rodent?!" Eggman called out. His question was answered by the guns of the Tornado firing at Egg-Kong.
"You can't stop us, Eggman!" Tails called out.
"Yeah! We won't let you take over the world!" Amy chimed in.
"It's our job to protect the innocent from people like you!" Knuckles shouted.
They all tried their best to attack Egg-Kong. But something was wrong. Its movements were too fast for a robot of that size to be capable of. Eggman easily fended off everyone's attacks. They were being pushed back farther and farther from the tower.
"It's no use!", the doctor called out. "Egg-Kong is the ultimate combat robot because he's got the ultimate power supply: liquid Chaos energy!".
Tails was shocked to say the least. "Liquid Chaos energy? How did he get that? He must have a Chaos Emerald here," he thought to himself.
Tails looked at the protected tower and came to a realization. "It's in there! The Chaos Emerald must be somewhere in that tower!"
He angled the plane to fly up over to the tower. Sure enough, Eggman saw what the fox was doing.
"Not this time, you flying fleabag!", he cried before having Egg-Kong jump into the air to grab the plane.
He managed to grab one of the wings of the Tornado and rip if off completely. Tails had to eject from the plane and use his tails to fly over to the tower. He landed on the force field and tried to find a weakness. He looked and saw that one antenna was putting out the force field. Tails went over to the antenna and cut some of the wires connecting the generator to the output point. In a few seconds, the force field was down.
"Alright! Good one, Tails!", Knuckles shouted before running past Egg-Kong's legs. He ran right up to the doors and used his super strength to break them down.
Eggman looked down to seen his enemies running inside. "No! No! I hate you!! I hate all of you!!", he cried out before abandoning Egg-Kong to guard the Emerald himself. His Egg-Mobile Went inside a large window on the top floor where his machine was located.
Inside the Command Tower
Eggman ran into the room panting and sweating. Orbot and Cubot were surprised to see the doctor like this.
"Boss, what happened? You look like you just tried to outrun Sonic!", Orbot said.
"Never mind that!", the doctor shouted before going to the control panel and picked up the same small microphone he used earlier. "Attention! The enemy is now inside the tower! Find them and kill them! Kill them all!".
Cubot nervously spoke up. "Doctor, are you okay?".
Eggman turned to face Cubot. Although the doctor's eyes were hidden behind those iconic glasses of his, that look sent shivers down Cubot's circuits.
"Of course I'm not! These little punks have been bashing my plans of building the Eggman Empire for too long! And now, they're here to take the one Chaos Emerald I have in my possession! I'll rip off my own mustache before I let them all stop me!", the doctor raged.
Suddenly, the doors burst open to reveal Knuckles, Rouge, Amy, and Tails standing in the doorway. They all looked at the doctor with confidence in their eyes. Knuckles walked up and cracked his knuckles.
"Okay, doc. Hand over your Emerald before we have to start calling you 'Scrambled Eggman'.", he threatened.
Eggman just stood there without responding. How was this possible? He was a scientific genius capable of the most incredible feats of engineering ever seen, and now a pathetic echidna was making demands of him? And he was constantly defeated by a blue hedgehog? How silly is that?! Eggman wouldn't stand for this any longer.
"Well, sorry I missed the party!", a familiar voice called out from behind all of them.
Everyone turned to see Sonic standing in the doorway. He was quite bruised, but otherwise okay. He looked at Eggman with that insufferable smirk on his lips.
"What's it going to be, Egghead? Are you going to give us that Emerald or are we going to have to trash your house looking for it?", the hedgehog asked the villain snidely.
"Go away. Disappear," he replied in a whisper.
"What?" Sonic asked.
"Go away. I hate you. I hate you! I HATE YOU!!", Eggman shouted, making all of his enemies take a step back. Sonic had seen Eggman rage before, but never like this.
"I hate you all!!", he continued. "Every time! Every time you stop me! Every time, you ruin my dreams! I will never stop!! No matter what I have to do! No matter what I have to sacrifice!"
Eggman slammed his fist into his new machine, causing it to malfunction. A bright light started pouring out of the machine. The Chaos Emerald! It was overloading the machine and having a reaction to the machine malfunctioning. As everyone in the room looked on, the light grew and grew until everyone in the room was enveloped in the bright light.
Dr. Eggman could only utter a few words. "This is... Chaos Control".

Chapter 3: Making New Friends
With the Rest of the Main Seven
Sunset Shimmer, Twilight Sparkle, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, Fluttershy, and Applejack were all lounging about in the Apple Family's living room. They were all smiling, laughing, and chatting about random things that peaked their interests.
Fluttershy gathered all her growing confidence and spoke in the highest volume she could muster.
"Everyone, you'll all be excited to know that we have received both a mating pair of African pygmy hedgehogs as well as two echidnas at the animal shelter", Fluttershy exclaimed in her usual quiet voice.
Everyone was excited to hear such good news for Fluttershy's animal shelter. Pinkie looked a bit confused.
"What's an 'eh-kid-nah'?" Pinkie asked.
As soon as she asked that, Twilight's eyes automatically lit up. "Well, echidnas are monotremes. Monotremes are egg-laying mammals. Echidnas are really fascinating animals. They have a snout like an anteater, digging claws like a mole, and a back full of quills like a hedgehog".
Applejack whistled. "That sounds like one strange critter, if you ask me".
"Egg-laying mammals are certainly a thing to imagine, darling", Rarity commented.
"Trust me, there are even weirder creatures living in Equestria. There are wolves there that are literally made of wood!" Sunset said.
"I wonder if we'll ever see any weird creatures in this world?" Pinkie wondered aloud.
As if on cue, their speed-demon friend Rainbow Dash threw open the door in excitement. She strolled in with that characteristic swagger she possessed. But she seemed even more excited about something.
"Hey girls! I just got back from patrol and I just made a new friend I'd like to introduce you to!" she exclaimed.
"'A new friend'?! That sounds amazing! Where is this new friend?!" Pinkie asked.
Rainbow Dash didn't reply with words. Instead, she simply walked out of the way of the doorframe. Out of the darkness of the hallway, Rainbow's "new friend" walked in.
The other girls were shocked to say the very least. Her new friend wasn't human at all. They didn't know what manner of creature this was. It was apparently male, with blue fur and quills on the back of his head. His eyes were bright green and he wore white gloves. The creature wore white and red running shoes. Rainbow started laughing hysterically.
"You should see the looks on all of your faces!" Rainbow exclaimed.
The strange creature gave a small wave. "Hey, there! Nice to meet Rainbow's friends. You can call me Sonic the Hedgehog".

At Vinyl and Octavia's Apartment
Octavia was sitting at the dining room table eating her dinner of sushi while her roommate Vinyl Scratch was sitting on the other side and scribbling on her musical notebook.
Octavia looked at her roommate in curiosity. "Are you working on another one of your compositions?"
Vinyl simply nodded in response. Octavia smiled at that simple response from her best friend. Her DJ roommate was the quiet type, but her music spoke of the free spirit she was. Octavia, despite being different from Vinyl in terms of their taste for music, genuinely enjoyed Vinyl's company. Octavia made enough money from her genius orchestra compositions that she could afford a whole condo. Vinyl made enough money to afford her own apartment, too. It was a mutual decision to rent their own place.
Suddenly, there was a loud sound coming from the roof of the apartment building. It sounded like something hit the roof with tremendous force judging from the web of cracks that formed on the ceiling. Both girls were rightfully startled by this occurrence.
"What was that?!" Octavia asked in fear. All Vinyl did was shrug.
"Let's go see what that was, then!"
In a flash of movement, both musicians ran out of their apartment and ran up the set of stairs that led to the roof. Vinyl opened the door and both girls looked around the roof.
Eventually, their eyes landed on something they did not expect to see.
Lying unconscious on the ground was some bizarre... creature they have never seen before. This creature was bright red in coloration, had what appeared to be dreadlocks on his head, a white slash marking on his chest, red and yellow shoes, and boxing gloves with spikes on each.
Octavia looked at Vinyl in confusion. "Are you as confused as I am?" she asked.
Vinyl just looked at Octavia and nodded her head in response.
This was certainly an interesting night for the both of them.

At Rarity's House
Sweetie Belle was laying in her bed reading a good book. It was "Way of Kings" by Brandon Sanderson. Sweetie Belle was heavily invested in this book. But she was not invested enough to not hear the crashing sound coming from outside her bedroom window.
"What was that?!" she exclaimed in alarm.
She opened her bedroom window to see a smoke pillar rising from the woods behind her backyard's fence. Curiosity overwhelming her fear, she ran down the stairs and right out the door.
After jumping the fence, Sweetie ran through the woods to the sight of the pillar of smoke. She wondered what it could be.
Upon arriving at the sight of the crash, Sweetie Belle got her answer. Lying there in the center of a small crater was what appeared to be a small anthropomorphic orange fox with two tails. He wore gloves and shoes but no other forms of clothing.
Sweetie Belle couldn't take her eyes off of this creature. Not just because it was a potential alien lifeform, but because it was so... adorable! This fox was so cute! And its tails were so luminous and fluffy.
The preteen girl stared at the fox's two fluffy tails and decided to risk doing what she wanted to do. Sweetie Belle tentatively reached out with both of her hands and started gently stroking the fox's tails.
Sweetie's eyes widened at the feeling of the fox's fur in her hands. It was the most amazing sensation that ever touched her skin. It was like if an angel's hug materialized in the form of a fox's fur.
"This is amazing! I could do this forever!" Sweetie thought to herself.
She was so enamored with the fox's tails that she didn't notice the fox was now looking at her. Blood and heat rushed to Sweetie Belle's cheeks from embarrassment. If someone could die from embarrassment, Sweetie would be nothing but bones at this point.
The two-tailed fox looked at Sweetie Belle with unsure eyes.
"Uh... hi. Can I... help you?" the fox asked.

Sweet Apple Acres - Nighttime
Apple Bloom was walking a barrel full of apples to the barn. It had been a long and exhausting harvest this season. The trees had produced quite a lot of healthy apples, but that was a boost to the family's income. She walked to the barn and put the barrel next to the other barrels.
"Whew! That should be the last of 'em," Apple Bloom said wiping sweat from her brow.
When Apple Bloom left the barn, she looked up to see a beautiful star-filled sky. All of the stars were beautifully laid out in wonderful constellations. But one in particular caught Apple Bloom's eye.
It was a star that seemed to grow bigger and bigger with each passing second. No, it wasn't a star... this was a meteor. And it was heading straight for the southern part of the orchard. The meteor crashed exactly where Apple Bloom predicted with a loud boom that the farm girl could feel through her boots.
The next thing Apple Bloom new she was running to the site of the meteorite crash. The site was a smoking crater with several destroyed apple trees laying in charred heaps around it. Within the crater were not a meteorite, but two lifeforms lying within the crater.
One was a pink hedgehog creature wearing a red dress, red boots, and white gloves. The other was a white bat with a one-piece suit with a pink heart-shaped breastplate, white gloves and white boots.
Apple Bloom was stunned. Two alien lifeforms just fell from the sky and landed in her orchard. She had to make sure they were okay. She slid down into the crater and checked to see if they were breathing by placing her hands near their noses.
Thankfully, she could feel their breathing on her hands. She placed them both on each of her shoulders and took them to the barn.
"I hope y'all wake up soon. I got some questions," Apple Bloom said.

Chapter 4: Getting to Know New Friends
At Applejack's House
All of Twilight's friends were gathered around the blue "hedgehog" in curiosity. The ones who were most enthusiastic about Rainbow's new friend were Twilight and Fluttershy. Twilight was excited to see a lifeform that wasn't from this planet, and Fluttershy was happy to see a talking hedgehog.
"What planet are you from?", Twilight asked Sonic.
Sonic put his hand to his mouth in thought. If she's asking me what planet I'm from, then I'm definitely not on Mobius anymore.
"I'm from a planet called Mobius", Sonic responded.
"What's your favorite food?" Applejack asked.
"I love chilidogs", Sonic replied.
"Do you have a best friend?" Pinkie asked.
"Yeah. His name's Miles Prower, but everyone calls him Tails since he has two tails" Sonic answered.
"How did you get to this planet?" Sunset asked.
"I got here because of Chaos Control" Sonic responded.
If the looks on all the girls faces were anything to go by, they have never heard of Chaos Control before. And if that was true, they've never heard of the Chaos Emeralds, either.
"Okay, I've got questions for you, since I'm new to this planet. Where am I?" Sonic asked.
"You're on a planet called Earth. We are humans" Twilight responded.
"I know what humans are. They live on Mobius along with us Mobians," Sonic said.
"How are there humans on your planet when we've only barely started exploring our own solar system?" Sunset asked.
"If my time around Tails is anything to go by, I'd guess that both our worlds are in different universes altogether", Sonic guessed.
"That would indeed explain it", Rarity said.
"How did you use this 'Chaos Control' to get to Earth?" Fluttershy asked.
Sonic thought back to the last thing he could remember before coming to this strange, yet familiar planet. He remembered fighting Dr. Eggman, breaking into his compound, winning as usual, and then Eggman punched his weird machine and... . Oh no!
"We were sent to this world by accident. Me and my friends were transported to this world. If I'm here, the others must be here, too! And if my friends are here, that means that..." Sonic said before trailing off.
"What is it, Sonic?" Rainbow asked.
"If me and my friends are here, then Eggman's here, too!" Sonic exclaimed.
"Who's Eggman?" Twilight asked.
"His real name is Dr. Ivo Robotnik. He's a human from Mobius. He's an evil man, a very evil man. He's an evil genius who builds armies of robots for the sole purpose of taking over the world! And now he's on this planet!" Sonic exclaimed.
The girls looked at him in shock. They had never heard of someone like this before. They had fought villains who had different motives before, but the only ones who had ambitions for world domination were the Dazzlings. But there were only three of the Dazzlings, but this "Dr. Robotnik" had whole armies of robots. If he's here, they might have to contend with a robot legion. Rainbow just smirked.
"It'll be fine! We have magic. If this Dr. Egghead-or-whatever tries to take over our world, we'll be there to take out his little toys!" Rainbow exclaimed.
Sonic smiled at his new friend's confidence. "Thanks. In the meantime, could you help me find my friends?" he asked.
"Of course we will!", they exclaimed in unison.

Knuckles slowly opened his eyes to find himself in what looked like a decent sized apartment. With a slight wince of pain, he looked down to see that he was lying on a couch with a blanket draped over his body. Out of the corner of his eye, he could see that he wasn't alone in this room. There were two female humans in the room with him with their backs turned to him.
One of them was wearing a purple T-shirt and black leggings and had black hair. The other girl had pale skin, dyed blue electric blue hair, a white T-shirt, and dark purple shorts. They both appeared to be whispering about something. Most likely him.
Turning his head to the side, he tried to make out what they were saying.
"What are we going to do, Vinyl? We have a literal alien lifeform sleeping on our couch!", the black-haired girl asked in a cultured accent.
The other girl simply shrugged in response to her friend's question.
"I have a name, you know", Knuckles finally said.
The two girls turned to him with looks of shock all over their faces. They must've never seen an echidna before.
"S-s-sorry, sir. W-what is your name?" she asked.
"I am Knuckles. I am an Echidna warrior. I've been trained since hatching in every form of lethal combat and willing to crush anything that threatens me, my home, or my friends", he responded.
The two girls were at a loss for words. This was a being from another planet that could also speak and understand their language? Twilight Sparkle would have a field day with this guy.
"Where are you from?" the black-haired girl asked.
Knuckles looked confused. "I'm from Mobius. Is this not Mobius?" he asked.
Both girls shook their heads in response. "I'm sorry. But this is not Mobius. This is Earth".
Now it was Knuckles' turn to be shocked. He was on a completely different planet entirely. Knuckles tried to think back to remember how he arrived on this planet. He and his friends were fighting Eggman and there was a bright light. The light! Knuckles figured it out: he was sent to this world with Chaos Control.
The red echidna jumped off the couch in astonishment. The two human girls jumped back startled.
"Eggman! He somehow used Chaos Control to bring us into this world! I have to try to find Sonic and the others to try to get back home!" Knuckles ranted.
Knuckles turned to leave, but Octavia and Vinyl stop him.
"Wait! You can't go now!" Octavia said.
"Why not?" Knuckles asked.
"It's late in the night. You can't go looking for your friends now," Vinyl replied.
"Exactly. Let's wait until tomorrow and we'll take to our friends Sunset and Twilight. They're smart enough to figure out what to do next," Octavia said.
Knuckles thought about it. As much as he'd like to return to Mobius and get back to guarding the Master Emerald, he knew he'd have to be patient. Without any better options, he resigned to following the human girls' advice. He went to their couch and sat down.
"Okay fine. I'll wait until I see these friends of yours," Knuckles said.
"Thank you for being patient with us. It's not every day we get to encounter visitors from another planet," Octavia said.
"Now, we should get some shuteye. We have a lot to do tomorrow," Vinyl said.
Once the girls went to bed, Knuckles laid down on the couch and looked outside at the night sky. It hurt him inside to be away from the Master Emerald for very long. He wanted to find his friends, get back home, and return to Angel Island. But to do that, he had to find his friends.

At Rarity's House
Sweetie Belle and the strange two-tailed fox were sitting in the kitchen. Sweetie got the fox a plate of cookies and a glass of milk. The fox wagged his tails in excitement at the gesture.
"Thank you!" the fox said excitedly. "You can have some, too, if you want".
Sweetie Belle just sat there quietly while mindlessly eating a cookie. Not wanting to make this awkward, Sweetie decided to begin questioning the small creature.
"I'm sorry, but may I ask your name?" she asked.
"Oh, where are my manners? My name is Miles Prower," the fox said. "But my friends call me 'Tails'".
"Okay, Miles".
"'Tails' is fine".
"Okay Tails. Where are you from?"
"I'm from a planet called 'Mobius'. Me and my friends must have been sent to this world via Chaos Control".
That caught Sweetie Belle's interest. She gotten confirmation that this was a creature from another planet, but she didn't know what this "Chaos Control" thing was.
"What's Chaos Control?" Sweetie asked.
"It's when the Chaos Emeralds, emeralds of great power, combine to transport someone to a specific place. But this time, the Chaos Control was completely random".
Sweetie tried to wrap her head around what Tails just said. But then she thought back to something Tails said.
"Wait, you said you and your friends got transported here. You think they're here on Earth?" she asked.
"I have every reason to believe so. Chaos Control always transports the targets to one place," Tails said.
"In that case, maybe I can bring you to my sister and her friends. They might have an idea about what to do," Sweetie Belle said.
Tails let out a yawn. "I think that may be a good idea. It's getting pretty late and I am pretty tired."
Sweetie Belle led Tails up the stairs to the guest room. Tails climbed in and fell asleep as soon as his head hit the pillow. As Sweetie Belle looked at the two-tailed fox, particularly his two tails, she found that she couldn't help herself. She walked over to him and started to stroke his tails.
"This is so amazing!" she said quietly.
After a good ten minutes of fluffing up two fox tails, Sweetie Belle finally left and went to sleep in her own room.

Sweet Apple Acres
Amy and Rouge woke up to find themselves in a literal barn. And they were both tied up back-to-back. They each looked around the loft they were in for anything they could use to escape their bonds.
"Amy! Are you alright?!" Rouge asked worriedly.
"Yeah I'm fine," Amy replied. "How are you?"
"I'm surprisingly peachy. Where are we?" Rouge replied.
"Your guess is as good as mine. The last thing I remember is fighting Eggman and then being absorbed in bright light"
"Do you think we got sent here by Chaos Control?"
"That's the only thing that makes sense to me. Any idea for how we get out of here?"
"Yeah, you can get out if you two answer some questions for me," a strange Southern voice said.
The two Mobians looked towards a stack of hay to see a human girl wearing a red ribbon and carried a pitchfork. She was looking at Amy and Rouge with no small degree of suspicion. Amy wanted to diffuse the situation by being friendly.
"Hi, my name is Amy Rose. This is my friend Rouge the Bat. Would be so kind as to let us go?" Amy asked in greeting.
"I'm asking the questions here!" the farm girl said. "Since you already told me your names, where do you come from?"
"We come from a planet called Mobius. I take it this isn't Mobius?" Rouge replied.
"Nah, this is Earth. Are you here to conquer our planet?" the farm girl asked.
"We don't want to take over the world. We just want to look for our friends and get back home," Amy said.
After hanging around her big sister her entire life, Apple Bloom had gotten very good at telling when someone was lying. She wasn't sensing any falsehood from the two creatures she tied up. Her suspicions assuaged, Apple Bloom put the pitchfork down and untied the Mobian girls.
"My name is Apple Bloom," Apple Bloom greeted. "This is my family's farm. You're more than welcome to stay here until you find your friends".
Rouge stretched and gave her wings a few flaps. "Thank you for your newfound hospitality".
"Sorry about that. I'm not used to talking with beings from another world," Apple Bloom said with a blush.
"It's fine. I'm sure it was quite a shock seeing Mobians for the first time," Amy reassured.
Apple Bloom walked Amy and Rouge towards their house to prepare the guest room for them.
"Do you think our friends are here, Rouge?" Amy asked.
"I hope so. It's not like you and I can use Chaos Control to get back home," Rouge replied.
"I hope Sonic's alright. I'm worried about him," Amy said.
"Honey, it's Sonic. Nothing can kill him," Rouge assured. "I'm sure he's fine".
"Thanks Rouge," Amy said. "Tomorrow, we'll find our friends and find a way home".
"In that case, you can talk to my sister and her friends," Apple Bloom chimed in. "They specialize in things like this. If anyone can help you guys out, it's them".
"Very well," Rouge said. "We'll just have to see these friends of yours".
"I just know Sonic's here with us!" Amy squealed. "I just know it!"

With Dr. Eggman
"Is everything ready?" Eggman asked Orbot and Cubot.
"The invasion force is almost ready, sir," Cubot said.
"They should be ready by tomorrow morning," Orbot said.
"Heh-heh-heh! Excellent! This world will bow to me and my genius easily now that I don't have to worry about my pest control problem!" Eggman shouted.
"But boss, what if Sonic and his friends are here?" Cubot asked.
The mad doctor grinned manically. He looked at a hidden image on his monitor with glee, twirling his bushy mustache.
"Remember Metal Sonic? I've realized that him alone wouldn't be enough," Dr. Eggman replied. "I've decided to level the playing field with that meddlesome blue rodent".
"I see, sir. Anyway, we may have found a perfect target for our invasion," Orbot said.
"Where?" Eggman asked.
Orbot pulled up an image of a small city. It was so ordinary and vulnerable that taking it over would be a walk in the park for the Eggman Empire.
"Yes! That city would be perfect!" Eggman shouted. "And since this is a new world, there's no way they could fight back at me even if they tried!"
Dr. Eggman was excited to begin his invasion. There was no way he would give up on the Eggman Empire. No matter what the hedgehog did, he would always bounce back. And even if he was on this planet with him, he would have to make sure Sonic payed for his countless victories against him. His annoying friends didn't help much, either. At least, this time, he would be more than prepared.
"You may be smirking now, Sonic, but I'll be the one who laughs last," Eggman said to himself. "You can't have everything go your way forever, rodent".

Chapter 5: Reunion and Invasion (Part 1)
Canterlot High School - With Sonic and the Rainbooms (Minus Applejack)
Sonic was rapidly tapping his foot against the floor of Rarity's van with growing impatience. He knew that he couldn't just run willy-nilly all over town until he found the school, but this was taking too long for his taste. After what seemed like forever to the hyperactive hedgehog, they finally arrived at the school. Sonic disembarked with great eagerness.
"Ha! Thanks for the ride, but I think I'll just run here from now on now that I know where it is," Sonic said.
"Sure. Just try not to cause any traffic accidents with your speed," Twilight said.
"So what do we do now?" Rarity asked.
"Yeah, how are we going to find his friends?" Fluttershy interjected.
"Well, this school is a central point in the city. If they are here, odds are high that they'd show up here to get their bearings," Sunset replied.
"So where are we going to meet up with them?" Pinkie asked.
"Maybe the football field? It's open enough that his friends would see him there," Rainbow said.
Sure enough, Sonic immediately zoomed over to the football field. The Rainbooms all made their way over there and stood by him to wait with him before classes started. Sonic saw the track surrounding the football field and got an idea.
"May as well get a few laps in while we wait," Sonic said.
Once he was on the outer edge of the track, Sonic began to run. He ran building up speed until he managed to live up to the nickname of Blue Blur. The Rainbooms all watched the impressive display of speed with awe on their faces. Rainbow smirked at seeing Sonic's speed again.
"Where's Applejack?" Pinkie asked.
"She left this morning after getting a text from Big Mac," Twilight replied. "She seemed to be in a hurry".
"While we're on the subject, Rarity, don't you usually bring Sweetie Belle to school?" Sunset asked.
"Yes, but she said she wanted Applejack to bring her to school, today," Rarity replied.
As Sonic continued to run around the track, Rainbow couldn't help herself anymore.
"I think I'll have a run, too," Rainbow said before joining her speedy friend.
The two of them were blurs as they ran around the track picked up speed. But before they could break the sound barrier, a voice familiar to Sonic called out to him.
"Nice to see you, Blue!" the voice said.
The Rainbooms and Sonic turned to look at the speaker and saw a red creature similar to Sonic, but was red with long dreadlocks and spiked fists. Sonic smiled at seeing his friend accompanied by two human girls. He ran to the red creature and fist bumped him.
"Knuckles the Echidna! Nice to see you here. Took you long enough to get here!" Sonic said.
"Really? I saw you riding in a van," Knuckles rebutted. "Let me guess, you sat in the van with your arms crossed and tapped on the floor with your foot".
"Yeah, I did," Sonic admitted.
"Sonic! Knuckles!" a young male voice called.
From above them all, an orange fox with two propelling tails flew down to Sonic and Knuckles and wrapped them both in a warm hug. Sonic and Knuckles ruffled the fox's hair.
"Good to see you, buddy!" Sonic said.
"Glad to see you're alright!" Knuckles said.
Suddenly, a pink blur appeared out of nowhere and wrapped itself around Sonic. Sonic looked down to see a familiar pink female hedgehog wearing a red dress hugging Sonic. He smiled at seeing her.
"Sonic! I'm so glad you're okay!" she wailed with happy tears.
"Amy, it's okay. I'm just happy to see you're alright," Sonic replied. "Now can you let me up? You're kind of embarrassing me".
Amy let Sonic get to his feet. As he was dusting himself off, a flying figure circled above them all. It landed on the ground to reveal a beautiful female bat with a one-piece suit with a pink heart breastplate, gloves, and boots. She folded her wings behind her back and she waved at everyone.
"Well, I'm sure happy to see some familiar faces around here!" she said. "I'm especially happy to see you here, Knuckles".
Knuckles looked away with his arms crossed. "I would've been perfectly happy never seeing you here again, Rouge".
"Aw don't be like that," Rouge said.
Sonic cleared his throat in manner that said he wanted to talk to all of them.
"Well, now that everyone's here, why don't we all introduce our new friends to each other?" he said.
Sonic turned to the human girls and introduced them to his friends. He started with Tails.
"This is my best buddy, Miles 'Tails' Prower. He's kind of a boy genius," Sonic introduced. "Next, here's Knuckles the Echidna, the powerhouse of our group. Then there's Amy Rose, the melee fighter. And finally, this is Rouge the Bat, spy and thief extraordinaire".
The Mobians all greeted the humans in kind. Next, the human girls all introduced themselves to the gathered Mobians. With all that out of the way, Sonic and the others tried to figure out what to do next.
"Well, what do we do now?" Sonic asked. "We need to get back home".
"Yeah, I have a Master Emerald to guard," Knuckles said.
"Well, I know that we teleported to this world with Chaos Control, but how are we going to find the Chaos Emeralds?" Amy asked.
"How do we even know the Chaos Emeralds are even here on this planet with us?" Rouge asked.
"The Chaos Emeralds likely came here since one was used to transport us here," Tails replied. "So that means that we should try to track them".
"Wait, Knuckles, can't you track the Emeralds using your connection to the Master Emerald?" Amy asked.
"I can. But for some reason, I can't sense them," Knuckles replied.
"Does that mean they're not on this planet?" Sonic asked.
"It's not that. Whenever I try to use this sense, it's like I'm getting interference," Knuckles replied.
As the Mobians were discussing their situation, Twilight raised her hand to them.
"I'm sorry to interrupt, but what are these 'Chaos Emeralds' you're talking about?" Twilight asked.
"They're seven mystical gems of unimaginable energy and power," Tails replied. "No on knows where they came rom, but they're extremely valuable".
"Valuable is right," Rouge said with a familiar gleam in her eyes. "They're positively stunning".
"And they're subservient to the Master Emerald, a bigger and more powerful Emerald I guard," Knuckles said.
"So if you can't track the Emeralds, how are you going to do it?" Applejack asked.
"I think I have an idea," Twilight said with aa smile. "I think I could design a tracker that can track the unique energy signature of the Emeralds".
"You can do that?" Amy asked.
"It's not the first time Twilight here's made an energy-tracking thing," Rainbow said.
"Can I help you?" Tails asked Twilight. "I'm pretty good with technology".
"Of course you can," Twilight replied.
"Well, until we track down the Emeralds and get home, where are we going to stay?" Amy asked.
"Y'all are more than welcome to stay with me and my family at Sweet Apple Acres. We have more than enough room," Apple Bloom said.
"Thank you. That's more than generous," Sonic said.
Suddenly, Knuckles had a thought that made his happy face drop.
"Wait a minute!" Knuckles yelled. "I just thought of something!"
"What is it Knuckles?" Amy asked.
"If we're here, then that means... Eggman must be here, too!" he said.

With Dr. Eggman
Doctor Ivo "Eggman" Robotnik. The greatest scientific mind in any universe. Brilliant, persistent, and rotten to the core. Left to his own devices, Dr. Eggman could've conquered all of Mobius in a matter of months. But the only thing that stood in his way was his arch-nemesis Sonic the Hedgehog.
But now that he was on another planet that didn't even know he existed, he could take over this world with little to no issue. But the bad doctor was anything but careless. Just in case Chaos Control brought Sonic to this world with him, he'd have a little surprise for him. And his pathetic little friends, too. Dr. Eggman was currently sitting in his Egg-Mobile leading his invasion force to the city of Canterlot. Orbot and Cubot joined the doctor at his sides.
"Doctor, what exactly are your plans once we get to the city?" Cubot asked.
"Simple, we show up with this city, we show them the size of our invasion force," Eggman replied. "They should surrender without a fight once they see the power I possess and am willing to use".
"And if they don't surrender?" Orbot asked.
"Then we level this city to the ground, rebuild it into Eggmanland, and use it as the capital of the Eggman Empire!" Eggman replied.
Eggman and his invasion force flew into the city, looking as intimidating as possible. The people below either stared up at the robotic force with terrified awe or ran away in terror. Eggman's Badniks armed themselves to prepare for any resistance they might encounter. After a few minutes, Eggman made it to what was obviously city hall. A well-dressed man with groomed blonde hair came out of the building. Dr. Eggman ran the man's name tag and saw the name "Mayor Blueblood" on it. The bad doctor stood up and bowed to him in a theatrical manner.
"Greetings, sir. I trust you're having a good day?" Eggman asked.
"Maybe. Who are you and what is this robot army of yours doing here?" Mayor Blueblood asked.
"To answer your first question, my name is Dr. Ivo Robotnik," Eggman replied. "And to answer your second question, I'm here to take over your city and establish my empire. You and your people will either submit to my rule or you'll be crushed like cockroaches!"
The gathered Badniks and Egg Pawns all pointed their armed weapons at the mayor. On the other hand, Blueblood started sweating and adjusting his tie nervously.
"Sadly, dear doctor, our city's charter forbids me from surrendering our city," Blueblood said.
Eggman grinned. "Then perhaps I can convince you to make an exception".
Before the mayor knew it, Eggman snapped his fingers. One of his nearby Egg Pawns fired a missile at a nearby hospital's roof, destroying a good chunk of the building itself. The mayor and his gathered attendants all stared in shock and then turned back to the grinning Eggman.
"Now will you surrender your city... Mister Mayor?" Eggman asked threateningly.

With Sonic and Co.
"If we're here, then that means... Eggman must be here, too!" Knuckles said.
Suddenly, an explosion sounded in the distance. Sonic and the others all turned to the direction of the sound and saw a large pillar of smoke floating upwards in the distance. Sonic's face turned serious.
"Hey! That may or not be Eggman, but if there are any hurt people there, we've got to help them!" Sonic said.
Without any hesitation, Sonic and his friends took off in the direction of the smoke. The Rainbooms all looked at each other all thinking the same thing.
"What do you say, girls?" Sunset asked. "Ready to help our new friends?"
"Heck yeah!" they all shouted.
Following the lead of the Mobians, the Rainbooms all took off in the direction of the emergency. Rainbow flew carrying Twilight and Fluttershy and Rarity used her crystal powers to carry herself, Sunset, Pinkie, and Applejack through the air after Sonic and his friends. Soon enough, they were able to catch up with the Mobians.
"You didn't think you'd do this by yourselves, did you?" Sunset asked.
"This is our world, you know. We have to protect it, too," Rainbow said.
"Sure thing!" Sonic said. "The more, the merrier".
As the group neared the center of the city, they saw a large army of flying robots. And these were robots that looked all too familiar to Sonic and the Mobians.
"No doubt about it! Eggman's here!" Knuckles said.
"Then why don't we say hello to him?" Sonic asked.

With Dr. Eggman
As Dr. Eggman was grinning in triumph over the terrified mayor, a bashed Egg Pawn flew between them and skidded to a halt to the far right of the doctor. Mayor Blueblood took the opportunity to run away like a little girl.
"What the--?" Eggman asked until the sight of a familiar blue hedgehog stopped in front of him.
"Hey doc! Did you miss me?" Sonic asked him with a smirk.
Eggman slammed his fists against the dashboard of his Egg-Mobile in fury. He glared at the hedgehog through his sunglasses.
"I definitely did NOT miss you, you blue rat!!" Eggman shouted.
"Aw, you're hurting my feelings, doctor," Sonic said sarcastically. "Did you not miss my friends, too?"
Seemingly out of nowhere, the rest of Sonic's friends showed up and stood before Eggman in dramatic fashion. The doctor's anger only continued to rise at seeing his furry enemies again. Curiously, though, they were joined by a group of... human teenage girls?
"How about you hightail it outta here before we make you?" the rainbow-haired one asked with a smirk like Sonic's.
"So this world has annoying little pests like the Mobians? Must there always be obstacles to get in my way?!" Eggman thought furiously.
Eggman flew up and back towards his invasion force and swung his hand towards the group.
"All troops, destroy the bothersome blue rodent and his troublesome troupe!!" he shouted.
All of Eggman's Badnik's swarmed towards Sonic and his friends. Sonic did what he did best: running around and bashing bots. The others quickly joined in the fray, taking down Eggman's robots. Just as Sonic was knocking down a couple of Buzz Bombers, he noticed that the doctor was keeping his armed Egg Pawns and Egg Gunners back in reserve.
Applejack was punching back a few Motobugs with a grin on her face. "I had no idea a fight like this could be so much fun!"
"Yeah! This is usually what fighting Eggman's like!" Knuckles said by her side.
Rainbow joined Sonic in taking down Badniks. The two of them were fighting in such synchrony that it looked like they had rehearsed the whole thing. Twilight was using her psychic powers to grab the robots and slam them into walls or the ground or into each other. Rarity was using her powers to both protect her friends and literally slicing her robotic opponents in half. Pinkie, somehow carrying infinite bottles of sprinkles, was blowing up Badniks with sprinkle-bombs. Fluttershy was communicating with birds, getting them to fly in front of the Badniks to distract them so the others can get close enough for a final blow. Sunset... was using a metal baseball bat. The rest of the Mobians were fighting the same way they usually did. Eggman turned to Orbot and Cubot.
"Did you arrange for special reinforcements to arrive?" Eggman asked.
"Indeed, boss. They should arrive very soon," Orbot replied.
"Excellent. Let's keep the hedgehog and his beast buddies busy until they arrive," Eggman said. "Second wave, concentrate all fire on the hedgehog!"
The Egg Pawns and Egg Gunners pointed their wrist-mounted cannons at the group and opened fire. Sonic and the others had to take cover behind a few cars to protect themselves from the volley of laser fire. As they were pinned, Sonic saw something through the reflection of the window behind them. Eggman grinned manically and pointed to the containers.
"May I introduce your new opponents: Team Metal!" Eggman announced.
Several Buzz Bombers were carrying large cylindrical containers towards the battlefield. Suddenly, the gunfire stopped as the Buzz Bombers placed the containers on the ground. One of them opened up to reveal none other than Metal Sonic, Sonic's robotic rival. The other containers opened up to reveal something more unexpected.
The other containers held robotic versions of the rest of Sonic's friends. There was Metal Knuckles, Amy, Tails, and even Rouge that stepped out with glowing red eyes and a desire for combat with the heroes. Eggman flew above them and made a sweeping motion with his hand.
"Team Metal, crush that blasted hedgehog and his simple-minded sycophants!" Eggman shouted.
This battle was now at least a little bit harder.

                  Chapter 2: A New World

Chapter 2: A New World
Sonic woke up in a weird place. First of all, it was night. He stared up at a starry night sky. With a wince of pain, the blue hedgehog sat up to face a stone statue of a horse rearing up on its hind legs. Startled by the sudden appearance of the statue, he jumped to his feet and looked around.
Behind him, there was what appeared to be a high school. Sonic had never really been to high school, but he at least knew how to read, write, and do basic math. He looked around and saw no sign of Tails, Knuckles, Rouge, or Amy.
Sonic tried looking back to try to remember what exactly happened. He remembered he and his friends were fighting Eggman in his own city. The mad doctor had built a machine that did... something with the energy with the Chaos Emerald. Then the machine overloaded and...
Sonic's eyes went wide with the memory of how he came to this weird place.  Chaos Control! Eggman's machine transported me to this strange place with Chaos Control! he thought.
As Sonic looked around, the more this place felt less and less like home.
"Am I even on the same planet?" he asked himself out loud. "If I was teleported to this place with Chaos Control, maybe the rest of my friends are here, too".
After doing some more thinking, Sonic came to the best conclusion he could think of: run around until he either found something that looked familiar or until he found one of his friends.
Sonic decided to search around the city. He just picked a direction and started running. He wasn't running at his max speed, but just fast enough to look like a blue blur zooming by.
Twisting and turning on the streets of the town, he eventually ran smack dab into the downtown area. As he was running down the streets, he could see that the city's inhabitants weren't Mobians, but humans like Dr. Eggman. They were all going about their normal nightly routine until they saw the blue blur running by. They must've never seen Mobians before.
Sonic had to keep going by if he was going to figure out what was happening around here.

Rainbow Dash was flying high into the sky above the city on the lookout for unusual magic phenomenon going on. Ever since the Friendship Games a few months ago, Dash and the rest of her friends decided to keep an eye out for magic stuff to investigate.
I love having flight as well as super-speed! Although, it would be cool to have someone to challenge me to a race and actually have a chance to win she thought.
Rainbow was flying over the tallest building in the city as part of her patrol. She liked high places with commanding views as a place to think as well as patrol. She turned her head left and right to survey the city like a hawk.
Immediately, Rainbow's eyes caught sight of a blue blurry object zooming around the city's streets at tremendous speed.
"Alright! Finally, some excitement! And something as fast as me!" she exclaimed before jumping off the roof and flying down to meet this mysterious speedster.

As Sonic was speeding down the street, he felt like something was following him from behind. He turned around to see something quickly catching up to him.
"That's cool. No one's ever caught up with my speed before!" he thought as the entity was getting closer.
The entity got closer and closer until the new speedster was right by his left side. Sonic could hardly believe his eyes.
It was a human girl! Well, about as human as she could be. She had wings on her back and was flying instead of running. She looked at him with wide eyes. This was the look that confirmed that these humans had never seen Mobians in their life.
After getting over the shock of seeing an anthropomorphic hedgehog that could reach supersonic speed, the girl smiled in greeting.
"Hey, there!" she said. "You must be new around here. Welcome to Canterlot! Name's Rainbow Dash, the most awesome athlete on Earth. What's your name?"
Earth? That settled it. He wasn't even on his home planet anymore. Not wanting to be rude to this fellow speedster, he returned the greeting with his trademark smirk.
"Hey there! Just like you, I'm a guy with a need for speed. They call me Sonic the Hedgehog!" he replied to the girl.
"You know, there's no one around that's as fast as me. Wanna race?" she asked him.
"You're on," he replied.
"Alright! One your mark... get set... GO!" Rainbow called out before zooming past the blue hedgehog.
With a smirk, Sonic picked up his pace and sped off after Rainbow Dash.

Dash could hardly believe her eyes! She was talking to an anthropomorphic blue hedgehog that could run at super-speed. If Fluttershy saw him, she'd lose her mind. Now that Rainbow thought about it, she realized that she forgot to aske him what he was doing in the city.
"Oh well, I'll just ask him after I beat him in this-!" Rainbow thought before she was interrupted by the sight of Sonic easily passing her on the road. rainbow was shocked to say the least.
Rainbow struggled to catch up to Sonic. Deep inside, Rainbow was excited. She was going to enjoy this race, to be sure.

Sonic led Rainbow down an open country road. It was the perfect place to go full speed without any problems. Sonic was quickly building up speed to go and break the sound barrier.
"I'd like to see how Rainbow's handling my speed," Sonic said to himself before looking behind him.
He turned around to see the rainbow-haired girl quickly catching up to him. Sonic had no time to play around. He was going to win this race one way or another.
Sonic decided to play with his opponent a little bit. He turned around and looked directly into Rainbow's eyes as he started running backwards! With his arms crossed over his chest, he smirked at Rainbow with his remarkable display of skill.
After a few seconds, Sonic turned back around and began to build up more speed.
Sonic could feel the air around him begin to compress, a sign that he was reaching supersonic speed. The air began to compress more and more until he felt something blast all around him.
He had done it! He broke the sound barrier and was moving faster than the speed of sound! Everything around him was a fast-moving blur. His feet became a figure-eight as he ran down the road.
Seeing a farmhouse ahead, Sonic instantly came to a full and complete stop.
A few minutes later, Rainbow Dash caught up to the hedgehog. She was panting and was visibly tired. She walked forward and pressed her hands on her knees.
"You can... actually... run faster... than sound?" she asked between pants.
"Yeah. Back on my home planet, I was known as 'the fastest thing alive'," he replied.
Once Rainbow caught her breath, she spoke again. "Hey, we're at one my friends' houses. They're all gathered here for a sleepover after patrol. You should come and meet them. I know one of them is going to love you, for sure".
"Okay, let's meet your friends," Sonic agreed. "Maybe they can help me find my friends."

On a Remote Island in the Atlantic Ocean
Dr. Eggman and his main tower from Eggmanland appeared on an uninhabited tropical island. The doctor had sent out some Egg-Drones to survey the island and anything else they could find.
"So, it appears that we've been teleported into this world by Chaos Control," Eggman pondered.
"What does that mean for us, doctor?" Orbot asked his creator.
Eggman had to think about this. He found himself in a strange world with only a few of the resources he once had. From what he could see, his tower was still intact. He still had his Chaos Emerald, as well as the machine to liquify its energy. The tower came fully equipped with weapons and a laboratory for his inventions. He still had a sizeable force of robots within the tower to pose a threat to a large city, as well as his larger combat robots. The island looked like it was miles away from anywhere, allowing him the perfect staging ground for invasion.
Not only that, but Sonic wasn't around. Still, Eggman didn't want to be too eager in case that meddlesome blue bug-eater was on this strange planet with him.
"It's obvious, we start from scratch! I'll rebuild the Eggman Empire on this planet! Soon I'll rule not just this planet, but the entire universe!" Eggman declared before laughing maniacally.
