For The Love Of Silver Spoon
(OOC-Alternate Universe, where the Cutie Mark Crusaders met earlier.)
It was late at night in Ponyville and Sweetie Belle was under the covers, but she was anything but asleep. Instead her crotch gently glowed as she stroked it and caressed it using the magical energies from her horn, thinking at the same time of her ideal true love. Her true love would be a mare; Sweetie Belle had not yet told anypony, not even the Cutie Mark Crusaders about her sexuality, let alone her mother. Whilst many, maybe most ponies were fine with homosexuality, Ponyville no doubt had it's fair share of bigots, and Rarity was most likely one of them. But what would likely shock Rarity much more if she knew was that her daughter's ideal pony was an earth pony. Whilst same-sex couples were quite common, mixed race couples were much less so. Part of that was due to practical reasons;non pegusai for example could not physically live in Cloudsdale without magic. When it came to earth ponies, there was a certain amount of snobbishness and indeed outright racism amongst many unicorn ponies. Whilst some individual earth ponies had done very well for themselves and joined the ranks of the wealthy, none were nobles with *old money* and as a whole, an earth pony was far more likely to be in a lowly ill-paid job or unemployed then either a unicorn or a pegusai. According to some of the nastier unicorns, there were more earth ponies in prison then in college.
In Sweetie Belle's mind, her true love would be a beautiful earth pony. One who was rich of course, and also good looking...with a pretty well-brushed silver coat and a mane in a long plait and a pearl necklace around her neck. One who would be sweet and kind and love Sweetie Belle for who she was. Someday, her true love would come and she would get her cutie mark. She let out a little hiss of joy as she orgasmed and then drifted off to sleep with happy thoughts in her mind The next day she headed off to school and was there five minutes early. As she looked around for her friends, she noticed two new ponies entering the playground,and neither looked at all happy to be there. Both were earth pony mares, one was a purple pony with a tiara upon her flank, and the other...the other was so beautiful. Everything was there...the coat of silver, the plait of silver mane, the pearl necklace. A silver spoon shone as a cutie mark and she wore glasses.
Oh my...it's like my dreams have come true. I must get to know this pony and see if I can become her friend and then just hang out with her and not shock her by saying that I have a huge crush on her. Softly softly catchee pony. She walked up to the new ponies. "Hello...welcome to the school. I'm Sweetie Belle. And you?" They glared at her angrily.
"I'm Silver Spoon," the beauty said in a cut glass voice that would not have sounded out of place on Princess Celestia. "And I'm Diamond Tiara," said the purple pony, and the two started to circle her and stare at her from every angle. "Well well well, we have a blank flank here. Where do you come from, blank flank? The local kindergarten?" Both ponies giggled to themselves.
"My sister is the dressmaker Rarity who runs the Carousel Boutique," Sweetie Belle said, and both ponies looked at her with looks that were a little more friendly. Which was when Apple Bloom and Scootaloo came up, and Silver Spoon and Diamond Tiara scowled again. "More blank flanks," Silver said. "Sweetie, you can hang out with us, we might even be able to help you get a pretty cutie mark like ours, but only if you stop hanging around with your blank flank friends."
Sweetie looked at the sad faces of her friends and then the icy look on the face of Silver Spoon. "Silver, Diamond, I'm sorry but I've known my friends since we were foals and I can't just abandon them for you."
"Fine, be that way," Silver Spoon said and she and Diamond walked away.
"Those two are not worth bothering with," Scootaloo said. "Let's go and think of new ways to get our cutie marks. Uh...Equestria to Sweetie, Equestria to Sweetie, is something wrong with you?"
"Silver Spoon...she looks beautiful, I think I have a crush on her. Do you remember the love potion we made on Hearts and Hooves Day? Could we make it again?"
"Sweetie, that was a love poison, not a love potion. It made Big Mackintosh and Cherrilee crazy, you really would not want anypony to be like that towards you. Besides, even if we made it just right, it would not be fair, even to a snob like Silver Spoon. How would you like it if you were forced by magic to fall in love with somepony that you had no interest in. It's not fair. Forget about Silver Spoon."
Sweetie Belle sighed. "You're right as normal. And thank you for being so understanding about my crush on a mare."
"I can hardly be otherwise with my own crush on Rainbow Dash. I know how you feel."
Sweetie agreed but although she didn't bring it up again, the thoughts of that pretty silver pony with the silver plait did not go away. That pony is most likely rich or at least her family are. Only the best for Silver Spoon.That must be why she is so snobby. Maybe she has a dislike of unicorns because a unicorn annoyed her when she was a foal? Her family may be noble, but my sister is rich and enjoys a great deal of access to the Royal ear of Princess Celestia.To a snob I'm sure that would count for something, and if I could only win her love I could change her for the better and find her lots of new friends. But how to win the love of that silver mare? Maybe Princess Cadence could help me, but how do I get the royal ear to hear me? Rarity might put in a word for me, and the Princesses are quite open to their subjects, holding open meetings twice a week for two hours a day. I would do so much for the love of Silver Spoon.
