The trio wandered into the next room, finding a spiral stair case leading up and leading down into the water. There was no lights so it was decided they would head up. Once reaching the top, they found themselves in a small room with a single small round pool and some windows. There was simple looking white painted wooden door. Going past the pool and through the door, led out onto a balcony over looking the indoor waterpark like area they had been through earlier.

As Button tied off the rope tight on the railing so they could climb down, Sweetie Belle couldn't help but notice how quiet he had become. Silverstream too. It was like their high energy had been sucked out from them. They seemed heavily lost in thought, their bodies running on auto pilot.

After tying off the rope, he muttered something about going down first. It was a quick thing with him being able to work his way down, SB impressed with his upper body strength. He soon reached the bottom and began immediately making his way back. Silverstream soon climbed down silently, not even stopping to run over the squirters to try and nail someone. She just silently followed Button back to their base.

"Ok. something is getting to them." The unicorn said to herself. She grabbed on, finding she had a bit more trickier time to getting down. Having to really grip the rope with her legs. Which ended up giving her some bad rope burn. Thankfully, she was now aware of how the water seemed to have healing properties. Once at the bottom, she ran over to a fountain and rinsed her legs in it. She watched in fascination as the rope burn seemed to slowly vanish. She did not even feel raw there.

After taking a moment to shake out her legs, she ran to catch up, finding that her friends were already gone from the next room as she entered. Once she swam across and made it back to the base, was she able to really see how her friends were looking.

Button was clenching a water bottle while sitting on the bed, staring off into nothing. Silverstream was sitting on the edge of the pool, dipping her hooves in but looked lost. Her talons clenched a candy bar so tightly it was coming apart.

"Ok you two, I can tell something is bothering you, what is going on?"

The brown earth pony let out a long hard sigh. "I... I don't wanna go."

"Me neither!." Silverstream cried out, probably louder than she meant to. "This place is so cool and I am having the most fun I have ever had here."

Button looked up at Sweetie Belle, his eyes were looking flush. "Do you have any idea what it feels like? To finally find a place that gives you a sense of adventure unlike anything a game can give you? Not to mention, you both are the coolest woman I have ever gotten the chance to hang out with. What if we go back home and that all ends?"

He squeezed the bottle tighter. "What if I go back to being mostly alone again? I only had Silverstream. You didn't even want to hang out with me much before all this."

Silverstream got up and made her way over. She sat next to him, putting an arm around his shoulder and pulling him close to her. "Hey, no matter what happens, I've got your back now. This hippogryph is not going to leave you hanging. I can promise that..." She looked up at Sweetie Belle who nodded, quickly walking over and sitting down on the other side of him.

"Listen... I'm sorry we haven't been seeing each other like we used to. I start to feel... Weird around you at times and I didn't know how to deal with it. So I just became distant." She glanced around the room. "I know we have had some awesome times here... And yes I am with Silverstream, I am not going to leave you hanging when we get back." She sighed. "But, we all have family back home right? Surely we have to try to get back, to let them know we are alright?"

Button closed his eyes and leaned forward. "I guess that is true... We do need to led everyone know we are ok."

Sweetie Belle let out a sigh of relief. "Besides, we still got one last little bit to go." She scratched the back of her head. "Listen, I love this place too. Its freaking awesome... But I can't stay here knowing Rarity is worried sick about me. Apple Bloom and Scootaloo would be scouring all of Equestria looking for me by now. I just can't do that to her and them. Even though I wish I could stay... I have to make it back, for her, my family and my friends."

He let out low sigh. "Ok, lets get ready to head out soon, I just need to do one thing real quick." He got up, riffled through the notes in the chest before finding the one he was looking for, grabbed a piece of chalk before heading into the bathroom. Silverstream got up and followed him in to make sure he was alright.

Sweetie Belle sighed and fell back onto the bed. She really was going to miss this place. Even though she still had no clue what that Entity and Juicy wanted with them, this place was starting to feel like home. And Button was right, every day was an adventure. It seemed weird to want to go back to boring days trying to capture even just a smidge of that sense of fun and fulfilment. Not to mention the crazy feelings blossoming towards her companions.

"Great, I'm not doing myself any good thinking like this. Its not like we can tell everyone back home we are alright with no magic."

Button and Silverstream soon exited the bathroom. The brown earth pony grabbed a pillow and took out the pillow from the pillow case. He then grabbed some bottles of water and threw them into the pillow case. He tossed in something else SB did not quite catch but was interested to see what he had in mind. He then twisted the end and tied it around his shoulder like a makeshift bag.

"Something to help keep us hydrated." He said with a small smile.

"Anything else we need to do before we head out?" Silverstream asked, starting to sound a little more like herself.

Sweetie Belle raised her hand. "Yeah, one sec." She ran into the bathroom. Five minutes later she exited, feeling a bit more refreshed. "Alright, good to go."

She then thought for a second, turned and grabbed the box underneath the bed. She checked map one last time before putting it back in and laying it on top of the bed. She turned and began following her friends out.

The next few rooms went by quickly, it seemed that all three were ready to get to their destination as quickly as possible. Just as they reached where the hallway dipped down into the water, was anything finally said between them. Silverstream stopped and turned back to her two friends. "Aright, make sure to stay ahead of me. I'll be keeping an eye out for anyone who needs air."

Both ponies nodded and Button made sure to secure his bag again. All three soon waded and dipped down into the hallway. As they slowly swam, they could see that the hallway quickly leveled out again. They passed by what looked like a submerged shower room and even saw some mirrors over sinks as well.

Sweetie Belle turned and motioned for her underwater breathing friend to help her get some air back. She nodded and swam over, giving her some much needed air. She wanted to hug the avian close, feel that spark between them again, but the Hippogryph quickly pulled away, leaving her feeling empty inside as a result. She really felt weird now. It was like her friends had suddenly gone distant on her. Was there desire to stay starting to cause a rift between them? It hurt just to even consider that after all they had been through.

She watched as Button and Silverstream shared some air. Sure enough, he seemed to linger on it, really passionately running his hands over her body before letting go. This hurt to watch even more. She reached out to Silverstream just as she left Button, surprised to feel her talons being grabbed by Sweetie's hand. She pulled her closer, trying to lock eyes with the hippogryph.

They soon parted, her giving a quick blast of air before moving behind her. The three continued on, soon swimming upwards into a new room. As they broke the surface, they could now see a corridor and heard the sound of rushing water.

All three soon waded out into the knee high water of the corridor. They followed it for a short while before coming to their turn. They all paused upon seeing that the room was full of various water falls, all coming down into small pools that fed into a larger one in the middle. To the far end of the room, under a wide but slow falling waterfall, sat a cross legged Changeling who was letting the water run down her bare back. Her eyes were closed but she opened them as the three soon entered.

She smiled and stood up, water pouring over her nude form. She took a step back and gestured for them to follow her, soon disappearing behind the waterfall. Button blinked and spoke for the first time in awhile. "Damn..."

Silverstream nudged him. "I know, right?"

The two shared a smile before making their way around the outside, Sweetie Belle hanging back just a it. She could feel they were hiding something but she wasn't sure yet what it was. Button sure was keeping that bag of his close though.

The three made their way around the large pool and quickly walked through the water fall. Shaking off some of the water, they found themselves in a small room, with wooden floors, walls and rocky looking ceiling. Two slides could be seen at the end, both next to each other. The one on the right was red and the one on the left was blue.

Juicy stood between the slides, leaning against the wall. Gold letters began to appear on the wall slightly above her.

This is it, your best chance of going home. Take the red slide and you have a solid 50/50 chance of making it back... Or take the blue slide and something incredible will be found on the other side. Something I have been working on for some time. But before you make your choice, I am sure you have questions. The Entity told me I am now free to answer them.

Button set down his bag. "Yeah, just one from me." He glanced back at Silverstream and took a deep breath. "What is it that you want from us? What is your goal in wanting us to stay?"

Juicy crossed her arms. The Entity and I share a common thing, we both feed on emotions. She licked her lips. I feed on love and lust. While the Entity feeds on raw emotion and euphoria.

Button took a step forward. "If you feed on it, does that mean we will eventually become emotionless husks or something?"

She shook her head. No nothing like that. Both the Entity and I only feed on what comes radiating off of you. We are nothing more than plants taking in sunlight. We both will do anything to make sure that we continue to take in what we can but that is also why we value you all so much. You are our guests... And our main source of sustenance.

She sighed. But we also understand free will. And we will not keep you here if you wish to leave. The way out is a bit tricky and that has more to do with how this place was originally designed. We can't just open a portal. The bridge between will appear where or when it wants to. It is its own separate entity.

She pointed to the red slide. So far, this has been the only good way of getting out. Even then, once you pass through, it won't give you a second chance. You either make it or you don't. I believe the other side of this slide leads to some place close to the blue slide but I can't remember for sure.

Button took a deep breath, letting it out slowly. "So this is our only way out but what if we decided to take it later, would that chance still be there?"

Juicy shook her head. I can't promise anything. The way out changes like the wind. What could be a way out today could stick around for months, years even. Or it could change like the wind tomorrow. Such is the way of this world.

"Alright... How is it with objects?"

Button stared, confused. "What did you write on there? Why bother writing anything, aren't you going back to your friends? Your sister? Your family?!"

She gripped the bottle tighter. "I have no doubt that Apple Bloom is worried sick... Scootaloo is searching everywhere for me... Rarity is getting her friends involved. Princess Twilight is probably working with Starlight on some crazy portal as we speak..."

She took a deep breath. "Which is why I know I will eventually see them again..." She turned back to Button and Silverstream. "But I can't leave the ones I love hanging in the mean time. We got our own adventure ahead of us. I am sure that they will eventually come but until they do, someone has to help keep you two out of trouble."

She tossed the bottle in the slide, hearing it clatter and roll around a bit. She eventually could have sworn she saw some weird static followed by the sound of a splash. She turned around, running back and throwing her arms around the two. "Guess you are stuck with me."

Silverstream hugged her tightly while Button grasped her firmly. The hippogryph rubbed her eyes. "I was just thinking how in the world I was going to say goodbye. Thanks for not making me have to think about it anymore!"

Button sputtered. "I don't know what to say. We thought for sure you would want to go home the most."

She wiped her eyes. "I did at first. But so long as we don't have to worry about mind altering water and I got you two, I figured I mind as well stay. Besides, I am sure I will see them again someday. Like I said, I am sure Princess Twilight is working on some crazy portal as speak. In the mean time, lets enjoy this adventure for as long as it lasts."

Juicy grinned and knocked on the wall to get their attention. All three turned back to look at her. I'll take that to mean you are most likely staying. In that case, please head down the blue slide. I will meet you all at the bottom.

She winked before turning around and seemingly vanishing from her spot. A three broke from the hug and nodded at each other before getting onto the slide. Sweetie Belle went down first, followed quickly by Button and Silverstream. It was a quick ride, no turns but soon, they all splashed into a fairly well lit room. They were now sitting in a small knee high pool.

There were big skylights that seemed to be mimicking the sun. A small pool shed sat next to a large pool with a small slide and diving board. The pool shed had some small windows on it and life preserver hanging next to the door. The whole thing was made out of wood with a wooden finished roof. It was painted ocean blue which matched the pale walls surprisingly well. Oddly enough, there was a small metal rod and cover protruding from the roof in the corner.

Juicy stood outside, opening the door for them. All three glanced at each other before quickly getting out and heading on over. As they drew nearer, they could hear music coming from inside. As they reached the door, they could now see that a full room had been installed that may have gone into the wall as it was much bigger on the inside.

There were two rooms, sectioned off by nice looking wooden walls. There was a small kitchen with a stove and a tiny fridge. A large bed and a shelf, a small wardrobe, a bench with a blanket over it and an old record player. Plastic chairs sat in the corner. At the very end, was a door that opened into a fairly nice bathroom with showers and toilet stalls just like their old bathroom only this one had a very nice, very large tub.

Juicy knocked on the wall next to her and the three turned to stare at the gold letters. I took the liberty of moving everything you had over to here. If you need food or drink, there are vending machines in the next room over. We also have one dedicated to toiletries as well. These vending machines offer a lot more to work with, including things like mixes for cooking. After that, anything more you want to add will be up to you. All sorts of junk finds its way here. I'll be sure to keep you posted on the stuff that I come across and I am sure you will find your own treasures as well.

Sweetie Belle walked in and began inspecting everything. "Hmm, gonna need to finds some towels, maybe cooking utensils, I see we got some wood for the fire, oh this cooking pan is nice, good though its not like it ever gets cold around here, oh wait its got a an electric stove feature, nice. Going to need to learn how to cook. Oh, I hope we find a tea set! Nothing like some good tea in the mornings." She began to mumble to herself as she continued to look around the room.

Button scratched the back of his head while Silverstream went over, jumped and laid across the bed. "So comfy!"

He glanced back at Juicy. "How long have you been working on this?"

She thought for a moment. Not sure, I have had a lot of time on my hands. You should see my place sometime. She playfully chuckled. I'll need to time to pick up a bit first.

Sweetie Belle made her way back outside again while Silverstream shot past her. "I'm gonna check out the new vending machines, be back in a minute!"

She watch the hippogryph run towards the opposite side of the room, out into the corridor and take a turn, now gone in less than a few seconds. Button came up beside her. "I swear, the energy on her is incredible."

Sweetie Belle turned back to Juicy. "Thanks, we're probably going to take some time and relax."

She nodded. Then I shall take my leave then. I'll be around if you need me.

She stopped and turned. SB gestured to the wall. "Why is it that you always communicate in gold letters?"

Have you noticed there is music all over the place? That is because I made a deal with the Entity. I wanted more access and ability to get around much easier. The Entity wanted to expand its abilities. So we came up with a trade. It took my voice, and in return, it gave me the power to access certain rooms at will. He nodded, the two jumping into the water. The three soon diving underneath, finding a small tunnel connected just below where the slide was in the corner, following it in and leaving the room back in its quiet atmosphere.

She had never felt an all consuming love like this but she knew that she was never gonna let it go.

She broke from the kiss and laughed. "Heh, love you Button." She said softly.

Button smirked. "Love you too." He looked back at Silverstream who came over and hugged him from behind, placing her chin on his shoulder. "Love you both." He said softly.

One quick swim later and all three were left cuddling on their new bed. Button had his arms around the two, feeling their warmth.

"Gotta say, I am really glad you decided to stay, Sweetie Belle." He said softly.

She snuggled closer into him. "I will admit, it was a hard decision. But I am glad I decided to stay too. You two and this place... I just couldn't imagine going without it."

Silverstream let out a low sigh. "We could not imagine going without you either. That is why I was so sad when we were heading over to that slide. I hated being so distant but I also hated the idea of saying goodbye to you after all we have been through."

Button stared off ahead of him, out past the window. "We got a new adventure to prepare for. Its gonna be strange and different" He gripped his lovers closer, loving the feeling of their warm bodies against him. "But I wouldn't have have it any other way."

All three snuggled closer as sleep began to take over, their bodies pressed against each other. Juicy stood just outside, crossing her arms. She stared up at the ceiling.

Told you, just had to have the right incentives. Things worked out nicely. Their going to be starting a family soon. We should make sure that they are able to find what they are going to need but lets keep it interesting for them. Don't want to make it too easy. She smiled. Can't wait to see what tomorrow brings.

We've got an extended ending coming up next chapter. It will play into the alternative ending we got at the end of Creatures Gone Liminal so be sure to check that out now if you want to know what we are jumping into later. Not sure when it will be out yet but keep an eye out for it. Probably a few days. Also remember that we are going into some weird territory as I want this extended ending to be cannon, but it plays into non cannon material. Oh well, time wimey stuff I guess.
