//-------------------------------------------------------// Catching Up -by IncognitoKiwoy- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1 Luna - Really cut out to be a Princess? NIGHTMARE MOON - Not Mythical! - Strikes Infants! Celestia's … SISTER? - Nothing like her? A fresh new stain of tea was soaking up the newspaper's delicate stains, and blurring up Luna's headline photo. She appeared to be in full wrath, slowly flying up to the sky, fiercely manipulating the weather as she flew. Celestia couldn't take anymore of this harmful media thrown at her sister. Sure, she was a princess, but reporters are some of the hardest ponies to distinguish. Incognito can be at uttermost, cruel... Luna had only just arrived at Canterlot a few minutes ago, and she was already the front page business of all the Equestrian newspapers. Celestia just didn't know how to get out of this one. Celestia gave a sigh of defeat, and plummeted into the depths that was her favorite floor pillow. She just wanted to get away from all of this; perhaps sleeping would be the closest way… comfortable She made her self content, avoiding the fresh tea stains and the cup on the floor, and looked at the Equestria Daily's main headline once more. With one last sigh, the silhouette of the pale indigo pony vanished with weary eyes, and at midnight, Celestia finally managed to close hers- "GAHHH! TIAAAA!" Crash! The voice of pure frustration and fright had a slight voice crack at the end. Celestia just sighed, and looked at the glass window in front of her. it was beautifully designed, with swirls of purples and surrounding a silver crescent moon, and slowly uprising into a sky blue, with oranges, reds and yellows circling a patterned a golden sun. To bad it was badly cracked all the way up and down to both the moon and sun. The princess gazed pass the pattern and into the night sky beyond. Beaming turquoise eyes gazed into hers. *sigh* "Tia, now shall be the time to get us down before we fall," she huffed arrogantly. The sun princess just rolled her eyes, and swung the window open with her magic. "You really should stop the remarks, Lu Lu," she giggled at the end. "Ponies will start to think your intimidating." "Not now Ti-," She paused, and looked at the newspaper on the floor. "Heh heh… news sure does travel fast now doesn't it?" Celestia stopped smiling, and gave Luna a cold stare. "I give you advice, and you just don't take it. Luna, are you really sure your cut out for this?" Luna looked up at her and gave a icy stare. "What are you getting at?" "Frankly, if you can't even fly and land home correctly, how can I suspect your really ready to rule again? I suggested the doctor to postpone more time-" "Oh, so you think after a year's healing, It won't have any side effects?" Luna spat out. "Don't make me the bad mare, Luna! Look at what the kingdom already thinks of you! How can you change what you've already done?" Celestia picked up the newspaper with her horn, and shoved it in her sister's face. "Tia… TIA! YOU'VE RUINED EVERYTHING!" Tears started to drip behind the paper, and revealed a sobbing, soaking face of her sister. Luna gave one last solemn look at her before storming out of the decorated hallway. "What-what's going on?" Celestia immediately turned around to face no other than her royal interior designer, Toola Roola with a face of dis-heartened confusion. "She… she was happy just a minute ago." The princess's frown rose up into a smile. "She just needs time to think." She then chuckled. "This room looks absolutely divine. How's the Philomena design doing?" Toola Roola chuckled and winked, shuffling the art bag on her back. "He he! Would you like to see?" Later... Luna stormed off past all of the hallways on the second floor of the Canterlot Castle, and tried to hide her tried tears from the other inhabitants. She got concerned looks, but she dashed off whenever present. The princess ended up in the lookout observatory, remembering the first time she tried to please her subjects. Her heart began to sink, and she then felt a deep surge of sorrow replacing the anger. She plopped down on the balcony, and gazed up at the stars blankly. "Ho-How could she? Sisters are supposed to be there for thine t'ill the end… we don't understand." She then heard hoof-steps that interrupted her train of thought. It entered the balcony, and she swear she heard a giggle. "Well, princesses are hard to understand altogether. They just simply must control themselves, and their emotions." 'What? Who was this insolent foal?' Luna was bubbling with anger. 'How dare they interrupt and criticize our feelings?' Luna chuffed, and stormed around behind her. She was about to spill something awful, but she relaxed that she needed to calm down. Even in front of this pony. Behind her was none only but her- "Sorry, but is Tia not invited to afternoon tea this time?" "Tia… you know I love you. I-I shouldn't have so moody. I still have a lot to learn," She chuckled and broke out a smile. "I wonder how many negative articles we'll spot this time? Shall us and thine rediscover once more of the ridiculous propaganda of thy fellow subjects?" "You know… actually I have another thing in mind to reconnect with 'thine fellow subjects'," Celestia giggled, and added extra emphasis on the quote. She had a sketch of what appeared to be Philomena, and flipped through a group of other papers and gave Luna a certain word file. It was not a bill as usual. That's usually whenever her sister ever gave her nay letters for her subjects never really made contact. Luna gave Celestia a unamused stare, and read it. "You, Luna, have been chorally invited to the supreme boarding school of Folibeau, to attend the highest quality education program in Canterlot, and has won numerous awards nationally… pegasai, unicorns and earth ponies all welcome, we hope you find you future here? Tia what is this I don't even-" "Luna, we can further discuss how you will fit in later, but we both know how much this will benefit towards you. Just a little catching up. Well, It's final. Luna, you are going to boarding school!" Celestia had a very un kindly smirk on her face. To be continued...
