An unknown virus has plagued earth and has wiped out half of the human population, the other half are slowly dwindling each and everyday. Batman and others are trying to find a cure but time is running out. Having lost his whole family again Batman seals Jason Todd in a cryopod as his blood is the only thing that can help find a cure, but there is not many time left

"I'm sorry, son. Live... For us."

Those were the last words Batman spoke to Jason before he was frozen. Now, after five hundred thousand of years later Jason is thawed out and finds himself in a strange new land and everyone and everything he knew is gone. Jason then swears to find the cause of the virus and do what Bruce wanted. Live. But how can a dead man out of time do that?
