Chapters S1 E1: Go with the flow! (Part 1)
In the dark abyss, a red-haired girl with turquoise colored eyes walks on an unstable stone-like bridge. She carefully looks from her feet to what's in front of her and sees a bright light. A large door stands in front of her with a demon-like face with yellow glowing eyes with chains keeping the door locked.
"Whoever can open this door, will gain great new power." A mysterious voice says as the flame-haired girl backs away from the door. "But know, that with such a reward comes great risk."
"Do you have the courage to unlock this power?"
The girls' sun-shaped pendant starts glowing brightly. The pendant was yellow-gold and half red like a yin-yang symbol.
"Uh... great risk?" The girl says unsure. "Let me think about it." The ground underneath her begins to shake as the ground breaks. She loses her footing and falls backward screaming and falling into the dark abyss below her.
The girl falls off her hammock on her head. She sits up on the floor and holds her head. "Ow... that fucking hurts!" She groans. "What a weird dream... Oh well least I'm up now." She says. Her alarm clock goes off and she jumps up. "And I'm late! Crap!" She quickly gets up and goes to her dresser trying to fix her card deck. "Not again! Celestia and Luna are going to kill me!" She grabs the deck and swings down a rope leading into her bedroom. "What am I forgetting! What am I forgetting! Oh yeah, to get dressed!"
Downstairs was a woman with long burgundy hair with orange highlights tied into a ponytail. She's sitting at her holo computer talking to someone. "I'll get right on it boss, I love a good lead in the morning."
The red-haired girl runs down the stairs putting her black leather boots on. She's wearing a white collar shirt with a red tie that was done, with a black leather jacket with red lined sleeves also wearing dark blue jeans. "What gives Scarlet! Why didn't you wake me up?" She asks jumping around and trying to find her missing shoe.
"Because I'm a news reporter, not a babysitter." Scarlet replies. "You're in Highschool now, act like it Sunset. Your lucky Celestia and Luna are at work." Sunset sticks her tongue out at Scarlet and goes running out the door. "Lunch is on the counter!" Scarlet calls out before getting back to work.
"Hey, my name is Sunset Shimmer and this is my life."

Sunset runs down the sidewalk and sees two trash bots. "Comin' through!" She yells and jumps over one of them making it spin around.
"Hey, Sunset!" Said girl looks behind her to see a blonde-haired girl with emerald green eyes wearing a cowboy hat. She calls out to Sunset and rides her bike over to her. "Hey, Aj!" Sunset says and the two high-five each other.
"Wanna race?" AJ asks. "Let me think on that," Sunset says and runs at full speed passing Applejack. "Yeah Okay!"
"Yay!" The two of them shout. Applejack rides her back down a flight of stairs with Sunset sliding on the railing. "I'm gaining on ya!" Sunset says. Applejack accidentally hits a trash bot sending it straight at Sunset.
Sunset crashed to the ground face first. Her Yu-Gi-Oh cards go flying and land on the ground.
[Trash Identified, trash Identified.] Multiple trash bots start picking the Sunsets cards. "Hey! Those aren't trash!" She gets back up to her feet and quickly picks up her cards. "Cut it out!" One of the robots holds one up and studies it. [Not trash.] it says. "No, it's not! It's my deck." She snatches the card away from it. [Your deck...?] the bot says. "Yeah, it's for dueling." Sunset replies and the facepalms. "And I'm now talking to a robot... great." She mumbles.
From the sky train, two girls look down at Sunset. One of them was a girl with orange glasses and light-colored hair in twin pigtails. While the other girl had black glasses and dark purple hair with pink and magenta streaks in her hair tied in a ponytail.
The purple-haired girl looks down at Sunset angrily walking away from the trash bots. She couldn't help but giggle a little sporting a blush on her face. "What are you laughing at?" The girl beside her asks.
"Hm? O-oh it's nothing!" She says and the girl next to her raised a brow. "Your weird Twilight Sparkle."
Twilight looks back down to see the flame-haired girl nowhere to be seen. 'She seems like a very interesting person.' She thought to herself and gets off at her stop.
"H-hey um, Sugarcoat. Do you know that girl we saw earlier?" Twilight questions.
"Don't know. But I recognize her uniform. She must go to Canterlot academy." Sugarcoat replies and gets off the train with Twilight behind her.
"Twenty! If you jump over this many boxes you'll ah' beat the school record sugar cube!" Applejack says.
Sunset starts stretching. "Today, that record going down!" She shouts.
"Sunset darling, I don't think that's a good idea." Says a girl with beautiful wavy purple hair. Her eyes fixated on Sunset. "Don't worry Rarity, it'll be fine," Sunset reassures her. "For some as smart as you, you should know better than to do this." Rarity says.
"Pinkie tell that her-" Said the pink-haired girl starts jumping around and hyping everyone up to cheer on Sunset. "Do it Sunny! Do it!"
Rarity sighs and looks at Applejack. "Sorry sugar cube."
"I'm about to high-five the sky!" Sunset yells and runs towards the small trampoline placed a few feet in front of her.
She jumps up and flips over the twenty boxes. She does the Spiderman landing pose and everyone claps. "Rarity, everything was fine," Sunset says and looks over at Applejack. "Looks like you'll be buying me lunch today AJ." The bell rings signaling for their next class.
Sunset and Rarity walk outside to the courtyard. Multiple kids are out with their duel Gazers and disks. "This heat is dreadful!" Rarity groans.
"It's not that hot out," Sunset replies earning a playful slap from the other girl. "Sunset darling, why do you do those dares?" Rarity questions the red-haired girl. "I don't know really. But it's fun, besides I like taking risks." Sunset says. "Can't live life without taking a few risks every once in a while."
They both put on their duel gazers and walk around, a monster with red scales flies over them and attacks another monster.
"Where do you think Applejack went to?" Rarity asks Sunset who's already running towards Applejack who's dueling a girl with rainbow-colored hair. "Those two going to be the death of me..." Rarity groans and goes after Sunset.
"Nice try AJ, but face it. You can't beat me." The rainbow-haired girl says and takes Applejack's deck. "Applejack!" Sunset helps the blonde girl get back up on her feet and glares at the other girl.
"What's the big deal Rainbow dash?! I thought you and AJ were friends." Says Sunset.
"She's the one that challenged me in the first place, we made a deal and she lost so I get her deck." Rainbow smirks waving Applejack's deck in Sunset's face. "Applejack, is this true?" Sunset asks. "I'm sorry Sunset, she challenged me and I couldn't say no," Applejack says and lowers her head. "My goodness Sunset!" Rarity says breathing heavily. "You didn't have to run."
Rarity then see's Rainbow dash and glares at her. "Oh, it's you." She says.
"Rarity," Rainbow says and looks back at Sunset. "Well, I'm done here." She says and turns away from the trio. "Hey wait!" Sunset calls out. "Sugarcube, I know where yer thinkin' and it's not worth it." Applejack says.
"What is it now Shimmer," Rainbow says slowly getting irritated. "If your gonna challenge my friend then I'm gonna challenge you," Sunset says.
"Are you out of your mind?" One of Rainbow's lackey's comments. "You're not even close to being in the same league as Rainbow dash." He says.
"So is that a no?" Sunset asks with a smirk. "I guess that means you're just a coward then." Rainbow's eyes narrowed at Sunset, her eye twitched at Sunset calling her a coward. 'I back down from no one! Not even her!' Rainbow says to herself.
"A coward?" Rainbow whispers. "You know what happened to the last person who called me a coward?" Rainbow says walking to Sunset seeing that she was a couple of inches taller than her so Rainbow had to look up at her.
"Uh, something bad I guess?" Sunset says nonchalantly not intimidated by Rainbow. 'Now that I realize it, she's pretty short now that I'm in front of her.'
"I don't know because it's never happened before!" Rainbow yells. "Oh, well then I guess this will be the first." Sunset replies.
"Big talk. All right Sunset, let's say that if we did duel. You want Applejacks deck back but what's in it for me?" Sunset looks down at the sun-shaped key around her neck.
"Um, good question. I haven't thought of that." She says. Rainbow looks at Sunset's necklace and grins and pulls it off her. "Hey!" Sunset yells and tries to go after Rainbow but the Rainbow-haired girl's two lackeys grab her arms holding her in place. "That's mine!" She yells.
Rainbow holds it up and studies it. "My, my, this certainly seems important to you doesn't it." Rainbow taunts. "Cut it out Rainbow dash!" Applejack says. "Stay out of it AJ, can't you see that Sunset and I are talking."
"Give it back that's mine!" Sunset yells. "Settle down Sunny, since it means that much to you I'll give it back and duel you for it," Rainbow says and drops it on the ground and steps on it breaking the key in half. Rainbow's goons let go of Sunset who picks up one part of her key. "What the actual FUCK! Why did you do that!?"
"Same reason I'm doing this," Rainbow says and kicks the other half off the terrace. "Well, since we can't duel for that anymore you don't get Applejack's deck back." She smirks at Sunset who gets back up.
"That's it your fucking dead!" Sunset yells and rushes at Rainbow only for Applejack and Rarity to hold her back. "Sunset darling, don't it!" Rarity says. "You don't give up do you?" Rainbow says. "I guess we can figure out some sort of arrangement. If you beat me I'll give back Applejack's deck, but if I win Sunset. I get yours. This Sunday at the station courtyard if you want AJ's cards back be there." She says walking away. Applejack and Rarity finally let go of Sunset.
"Um, darling." Rarity starts. "Are you alright?" She asks. "Don't worry Rarity," Sunset says who gives her a sad smile. "I-i'll be fine. I should uh, start heading home. It's getting late anyway." She says and walks away from the two. Applejack and Rarity stare at Sunset until she was completely out of sight. "It's all my fault." Applejack says. "I have to fix this." She says.
"Wait where are you going?" Rarity asks. "Just going to look for something." Applejack yells. "Have a nice weekend Rares." Rarity watched as her two friends go home with a sad expression on their faces.
As the sun slowly starts to set Sunset quickly makes her way home. While running she accidentally bumps into a girl around her age. "I'm so sorry, here let me help you up." Sunset apologizes and the girl takes her hand. "Sorry for bumping into you—" Sunset trails off. The purple-haired girl in front of her fixed her glasses and gives Sunset a shy smile making the red-haired girl's heart skip a beat. "Y-your pretty..." Sunset says blushing. The girl in front of her blushes at Sunset's comment. "I- um. I'm Sunset Shimmer!" Sunset says trying to regain her composure.
"Nice to meet you Sunset Shimmer." The purple-haired girl says. "I'm Twilight Sparkle." The girl says. "Have you been crying?" She asks. Sunset's eyes were red and puffy. "I- uh, kinda..." Sunset says rubbing her eyes. "D-do you want to talk about it?" Twilight asks. "My mom always said that talking things out helps." She says. "Are you sure? I mean it's getting late. I'm sure your family is worried about you." Said Sunset.
"Don't worry, my house isn't far from here. Besides, you look like you need someone to talk to." Twilight says and smiles at Sunset. "OK then, I'll just give the short version." Sunset then explains everything to Twilight.
"So you're the girl I saw this morning!" Twilight says surprising Sunset. "Huh?" She looks at Twilight confused. "S-sorry let me explain. On my way to school this morning I saw you were trying to take your cards away from a bunch of trash bots." Twilight explains. "Oh uh, yeah."
"Hey, I think what your doing is the right thing to do. Dueling someone to get your friend's deck back. I don't think anyone would go as far as to do something like that." Twilight says.
"You think so?" Sunset asks. "I do, you seem like the type of person who would do anything for her friends," Twilight says and hugs Sunset who hugs her back. "Wow, thanks Sparky." She says. "I needed that. How about I walk you home yeah?" Sunset says. "I'd like that," Twilight says and takes Sunset's hand.
"So does this make us friends now? I'm not sure how this whole friendship thing works." Twilight asks nervously and Sunset smirks. "I mean, since I'm walking you home I think this should put us as girlfriends now," Sunset says and Twilight's face goes as red as Sunset's hair. She punches Sunset's arm making the taller girl laugh. "That's not funny!" Twilight yells. "To answer your question from before, we are friends Sparky."
S1 E1: Go with the flow! (Part 2)
After walking Twilight home and getting her number, Sunset finally makes it back home. She was going to duel Rainbow Dash, and win. After receiving that pep talk from Twilight who'll also be there for support, Sunset felt more confident. She walked through the front door with a big smile on her face. A tri-colored haired woman greets her. "Welcome home Sunset." She says and gives the girl a hug. "Hey Celestia." Sunset says. Celestia smiles noticing a difference in Sunsets mood then normal. Normally after school Sunset would go to her room and sleep for the rest of the night and not eat dinner, which Luna and Scarlet had both scolded her for.
"So, whose got you all happy?" Celestia asks Sunset.
"No one really, just made a new friend today. I walked her home before I came here." Sunset says.
"Well does this friend have a name?" Celestia asks. "Her name is Twilight. She doesn't live far from us." Sunset says and takes of her boots and sets them near the from door.
"Where's aunt Luna and Scarlet?" Sunset asks. "Luna's almost finished making while your sister is in her room working." Celestia explains. "How about you go take a shower while we're waiting, I'm sure you want to get out of those clothes." Celestia says and Sunset heads up stairs. "Oh, and Sunset." Celestia calls. Sunset stops to look at her. "Yes?"
"Make sure you win against that girl, okay." Celestia says and Sunset smiles. "Don't worry, I will." Sunset says and goes upstairs.
"Luna, you can come out now." Celestia says. A dark blue haired woman comes into the room untying an arpon from around her waist.
"Are you really going to let Sunset go on Sunday?" Luna asks her older sister. "Of course, besides even if I told her no, she's still going to go either way." Celestia says. "Can't wait for Scarlet to here about this..." Luna sighs and shakes her head. "Dinners ready, imma go play COD now." Luna says heading to the living room. "Of course," Celestia sighs.
Later on that night Sunset, in the attic laying down on her hammock holding her broken key in her hand as she remembers the dream she had earlier. "Whoever can open this door, will gain great new power. But know that with such a reward comes great risk. Have you the courage to unlock this power?" She remembers the mysterious voice saying. "I don't even know if I have the key to unlock it anymore." Sunset whispers and slowly closes her eyes. "I wonder... how Aj is doing."

It was now Saturday morning, Celestia had came into Sunsets room to check on her only to find the girl still asleep past noon. Sunsets phone rings waking her up. "You've got to be kidding me..." She groans. Sunset rubs the sleep out of her eyes and looks at the Id caller.
"Rarity?" She puts her phone on speaker and waits for Rarity's ear piercing scream. "SUNSET!!!" Sunset covers her ears and glares at her phone.
"Rarity I swear to God! It's too earlier for you to be yelling." Sunset says. "For your information darling, it's past twelve." Rarity says. Sunset rolls her eyes and lays back down. "Is there a reason for why you called me?" Sunset asks. "Applejack and I are heading over to your house, she said that she had to give you something. I'm not quite sure what it is thought." Rarity explains.
"Suprise?" Rarity says and hangs up. Sunset gets up from the hammock and climbs down the ladder leading into her bedroom. She goes downstairs seeing Applejack and Rarity waiting for her. "Sunset, we need to talk." Applejack says. "What is it?" Sunset asks. "This duel with Rainbow Dash." Applejack says. "Are you really doing it?" She asks.
"Well..." Sunset thinks for a moment. "Don't go Sunset. You can't win." Applejack says. "Huh?" Sunset and Rarity look at Applejack shocked. "What do you mean by that?" Sunset asks. "Applejack explain." Rarity says with her hands on her hips. "I mean, Rainbow made it all the way to the duel nationals last year." Applejack says she lowers her head and frowns.
"Look surgarcube, Ah' appreciate you tryin' n' all. But I'm over this. Really I am." She says.
"But it's not just about you now." Sunset says getting a confused look from Applejack. "Huh?"
"It's... it's about doing what's right Aj. Rainbow Dash has to learn that she can't keep pushing people around like this." Sunset says.
"And I'm going to be the one to teach her that. So what if she made it to the nationals." Sunset says. "One day I'm going to make it there too!" Sunset smiles. "Ah'd knew you'd say that." Applejack says and takes something out of her pocket. "Here." She threw the small object at Sunset who catches it.
"Hey isn't this my—" Applejack nods. "Ah' went lookin' for it. It was the least I could do for you." Applejack says and hugs Sunset. "Thanks Aj," Sunset says. "You too Rarity, come here." Rarity then joins the group hug. "I thought you weren't a hugger Sunset." Rarity says and Sunset then moves away from them.
"Yup moments over." Sunset says. "Anyways, we better going." Rarity says. "I assume someone as smart as you has a plan right?" Sunset awkwardly smiles. "Uh, yeah, yeah! I have a uh, plan." Sunset says. "Well, more like 12% of one that is."

Sunset sits at her desk with all of her card laid out in front of her. She picks one up and sighs. "Maybe those litter BOTS were right. My cards are trash." She says and looks at a picture of a man similar looking to Sunset and woman with pale red hair with black streaks who looks similar to Sunset's older sister Scarlet. The woman was holding a red and golden key similar to the one Sunset wears while the man has his thumbs up with a big smile on his face. The two of them are standing in front of a old temple in the middle of a jungle somewhere.
"No," Sunset says to herself. "This is my mom's deck. And I know that she gave it to me for a reason."

"Bye Celestia!" Sunset yells running out the house. "Wait a minute Sunset." Celesria calls for the girl.
"Oh right." Sunset says and runs up to her guardian and hugs her surprising Celestia a bit. That's not what I meant but I won't complain. Celestia thinks to herself.
"I gotta go now!" Sunset says and waves Celestia goodbye before getting on her motorcycle and drives off leaving a cloud of dust.
"I can't believe it. You actually showed up." Rainbow says to Sunset. On one side was Rainbow Dash ad her two lackeys while on the other side was Sunset with Applejack and Rarity. "Hope you said your goodbyes, cut all of your cards about to be mine." Rainbow says with a smirk.
"We'll see about that." Sunset says and takes out her duel disk an duel gazer. "Duel interface set."

Rainbow Dash: 4000 Lp
Sunset: 4000 Lp
"Get set to get decked!" Sunset exclaims. "I summon Zubaba Knight!" Sunset throws down her card and Zubaba Knight emerges.
"Zubaba Knight!"
Zubaba Knight: 1600 ATK
"Your move Rainbow." Sunset says. "I summon forth Big Jaws!" Rainbow through down her and a cyborg shark emerges from the card.
Big Jaws: 1800 ATK
"Crap, 1800 attack points." Sunset says.
"That's right, and since Zubaba Knight is just 1600 your in deep trouble. After all, the monster with the least attack points is destroyed and it's owner takes the difference as damage." Rainbow explains.
"You've got to be kidding me, so that means I'm is losing 200 life points." Sunset says.
"Hey Sunset," Rainbow says. "Next time play your weak monsters in defense mode. Although it really wouldn't matter cuz of this." Rainbow flips the card in her over. It had a picture of orange aqua jets. "The spell card; aquajet! Now until the end of this turn my Big Jaws gains 1,000 attack points."
Big Jaws: 2800
"Now Big Jaws attack!" Big Jaws uses it's Aquajets to fly up in the air and attack Zubaba Knight crushing the other monsters arm with it's jaw destroying Zubaba Knight.
Sunset: 2800 Lp
"Next I'll place a face down card and end my turn." Rainbow says. Crap! We just started and I'malready down 200 life points. I gotta even the score. Sunset the draws a from her deck. "I summon out, Gagaga Magician." Sunset says.
"You summoned him in attack mode? With just 1500 life points?" Rainbow asks.
Gagaga magician: 1500 Lp
"You really are stubborn aren't ya." Rainbow laughs. "You just don't listen do you."
"Oh I sure do!" Sunset says and takes out another card. "That's why I'm equipping Gagaga with this. Wonder wand!" Sunset says. "Now my magician gains 500 attack points."
Gagaga magician: 2000 Lp
"You say play weak monsters in defense mode but he's no weak monster." Sunset says and Rarity starts cheering.
"Now Gagaga is stronger than Big Jaws!" Rarity exclaims. "Now go mighty magian!" Sunset yells as Gagaga heads for Big Jaws.
"How about you try and get real." Rainbow says. "I play my facedown!" Her facedown card flips over emits a bright white light.
"Wait what?" Sunset says confused.
"That's right, Zeus breath and I have a feeling this might stink for you because thanks to this trap I can put a stop to your monsters attack." The gusts of wind from Rainbows trap card stops Gagaga and pushes back Sunset. "And there more—"
Please kill me now... Sunset groans getting thrown around by the wind.
"If I have a water monster on my field you also take 800 points of damage. And there I a water monster on my field so, prepare to be soaked with a serious splash of damage."
Sunset: 2000 Lp
Rainbow Dash: 4000 Lp
Sunset gets thrown to the ground as she loses 800 more life points. "Okay... that actually hurts." She groans. Her eyes widen as she looks at her deck. "This'll work." She springs back up to her feet. "If you can play trap cards then so can I. So that's what I'll do!" Applejack facepalms and Rarity covers her face. "What's wrong with you guys?" Sunset asks.
"Sunset, you just said what type of card you placed facedown!" Applejack says.
"Ah crap, this is what I get for getting to excited..." Sunset groans. Rainbow Dash stands there with a confused look on her face.
"I can't believe she's the top of our class..." Rainbow mumbles. "Get it together Sunset!" Rarity yells.
"Trap card huh?" Rainbow says. "Big deal, it's my draw. And first I summon Skull Kraken!"
A mechanical octopus with a upside-down skull face comes from under ground.
Skull Kraken: 600 ATK
"Really? 600 attack points." Sunset says. "No problem, Gagaga Magician is still the strongest monster on the field." Sunset says.
"Not for long he's not, I activate Skull Krakens special ability." Skull Kraken face turns right-side up and it's red eyes glow. "With it I can destroy on face-up spell or trap card on your field. Like that wonder wand for example." The wonder wand from Gagaga is then destroyed lowering his attack point back to 1500.
Gagaga magician: 1500 ATK
"Oh no," Sunset says. "Oh yes! Now Gagaga magician is back at the bottom." Rainbow says.
"That's not good." Applejack whispers. "Why?" Rarity asks.
"Rainbow now has two monsters out. The same ones she had right before she beat me." Applejack explains. "She must be planning to Xyz summon and if she does then. There's no way for Sunset to win."
"Did you really think you could beat me? The best of the best? And win Applejacks deck back?" Rainbow says. Yeah, I kinda did. Guess I was wrong, I thought I was. Sunset says to herself. I'm just glad Twilight isn't here seeing me get my butt kicked.
"Sunset!" A familiar yells. "Wait a dam— Twilight!?" Said girl has her hand on her knees breathing heavily like se had just ran a marathon. "S-sorry I'm late." Twilight says.
"Ugh, so your little girlfriend shows up, big deal! I stomped your little key to pieces and new I'm gonna stomp you!" Rainbow yells. "And when I win your duel deck, I'm gonna teach it just like how I trashed your key."
"Then maybe you'll learn your lesson, don't pick fights you can't win."
"That's where your wrong Rainbow." Sunset says. "I'll never learn that lesson. You should know this by now, I'm to damn stubborn to give up!" Sunset says and a bright golden light shines in her hand. She opens her hand to see her key completely fixed. "It's fixed..." She looks around and sees the same giant door from her dream. "Oh, it's my dream." She says.
"This is no dream." A voice says. "Do you have the courage to unlock this power. It is time to decide, Sunset. What will it be?"
Sunset clenched her fists and starts running to the door. "Alright!" She puts in the key and bright white lights shine. The chains on the door snap as the door slowly opens. Sunset is then surrounded by hundreds of cards. "Ok, now that really hurts my eyes." She says and the cards start glowing before scattering away from her and she's back on the field with Rainbow.
"Woah, that was weird." She whispered. Rainbow starts screaming as a purple and red aura surround her. Yes Rainbow, let the number take hold. A voice says and Rainbows eyes fade to purple, her two monster Skull Kraken and Big Jaws glow dark blue and light blue respectively.
"I overlay level 3 Big Jaws and Kraken!" The colors fly to the sky and danced around eachother. "Now I can build the overlay network." A bright multicolor beam shoots out from the ground. "Now, number 17 Leviathan dragon!" A dragon with dark purple scale with wings roar at Sunset as the number 17 glowed on it's neck.
Leviathan dragon: 2000 ATK
"What the heck is that?" Sunset asks. "I've never seen this monster before in my entire life." Applejack says.
Wait is this what happens in a duel? Twilight asks herself. "Same here Applejack." Rarity says. "And what's with the whole number thing?"
"Now by removing one of my overlay units like my Skull Kraken, I can power up Leviathan dragon by 500 attack points." Rainbow says and plays the card into the slot of her duel disk. "Leviathan dragon attack with Shock stream blast!" Rainbow orders and Leviathan Dragon's attack points rise.
Leviathan dragon: 2500 ATK
Leviathan dragon unleashes it's attack at Gagaga magician destroying him and Sunset losing 1000 life points.
Rainbow Dash: 4000 Lp
Sunset: 1000 Lp
"That's some dragon..." Sunset says and struggles to get up.
"Rise," A woman's voice says. A woman with dark purple hair with red streaks and turquoise color eyes looks down at Sunset.
S1 E1: Go with the flow! (Part 3)
"Who are you?" Sunset asks. The dark purple haired girl looks down at her. "Tempest." The girl says. She couldn't be over the age of seventeen.
"So your name is Tempest?" Sunset asks. "Yes, that's my name if I recall."
"What do you mean by that?" Sunset asks, a image of Rarity pops up.
"Sunset darling, what's going on?" Rarity asks and a image of Applejack pops up as well. "Who are you talking to surgarcube?" Applejack asks concerned. "What do you mean who?" Sunset says. "I can't you guy's see the girl next to me?" She asks.
"Um Sunset," Twilight says. "There's no one there."
Sunset looks back at Tempest and back to her friends and back at Tempest. "Maybe, only I can see you." Sunset whispers to herself. "Please tell me your not my guardian angel or something." Sunset says.
"I am no such thing... Or am I?" Tempest says confused. "Wait, you don't know what you are?" Sunset asks. "Not only do I not recall who I am, I can't remember much of anything. The only thing I know is that you and that girl with the glasses over there look very familiar to me." Tempest explains. "I only know that I arrived here with a great purpose, that I cannot remember."
"Get it together Sunset, now duel already!" Rarity yells. "Alright, alright!" Sunset says and takes a deep breath. Okay, faze the walking neon glowstick out and let's duel in. I have to figure out what to do with this weird number card. Ever since it showed up Rainbow has been extra creepy.
"Ah, the might number 17 Leviathan dragon." Rainbow starts. "With this monster on the field there's no stopping me." Rainbow smirks with a crazy eye expression on her face as the number 17 glows on the back of her right hand. "Your deck will soon be mine!" Rainbow then puts a card facedown. "I end my turn with a facedown."
"She's really angry, and creepy..." Tempest says.
"Yeah, but her dragon is about to make her feel better by crushing me in this duel." Sunset says and Tempest's eyes widen. "Duel? That sounds... very familiar." She says.
"Hm? You know how to duel?" Sunset asks. "Yes... it's kind of coming back to me now. I can faintly remember someone close to me teaching me about it." Tempest recalls. "The one who taught me was.... And I lost it." She sighs.
"Let me help you out, draw a card from your deck." Tempest says and Sunset nods. "I draw!" Sunset pulls out a card and looks at it.
"Now summon Go-go-go Golem in defense mode."
"Wait a minute, why should I listen to you? Your the one with amnesia!" Sunset yells. "I summon Go-go-go Golem in attack mode!" The grounds opens up and Go-go-go Golem rises.
Go-go-go Golem: 1800 ATK
"1800 attack points, that's not enough to defeat Leviathan dragon kid." Tempest says. Sunset rolls her eyes and pulls out another card.
"Next from my hand, I play the spell blustering winds. And it's gonna blow your mind now one monster of mine in attack mode gains a thousand points till my next turn."
Go-go-go Golem: 2800 ATK
Leviathan dragon: 2500 ATK
"You got this Sunset!" Applejack cheers.
"Now Go! Go-go-go Golem, attack Leviathan dragon!" Go-go-go Golems arm glows blue and attacks Leviathan dragon making Rainbows lose 300 life points.
Rainbow Dash: 4000> 3700 Lp
"Yes! Leviathan Dragon is done for and Rainbows life points just took a dive!"
"Turn around." Tempest says making Sunset turn around to see Leviathan dragon still standing.
"Wait, I thought the monster with the lowest attack points gets destroyed." Twilight says. "No fair! Sunset destroyed that thing! How is it still standing!" Rarity yells grabbing Applejack by the collar of her shirt shaking Applejack.
"What gives! I took down your monster." Sunset says.
"Fraid not, a number monster can only be beat by another number monster." Rainbow explains. "For real?" Sunset asks in disbelief.
"Sunset doesn't have a number monster, so that means... that dragon is on the field for good." Applejack says leaving Rarity and Twilight shocked. "You've got to be kidding me..." Sunset mumbles. "If I can't beat Rainbow Dash's monster then how am I supposed to beat her." Sunset looks at the two cards in her hand unsure of what to do.
"You better start figuring that out kid. Cause that girl looks ready to attack." Tempest says and crosses her arms. "You better do something kid."
"Huh? What makes you a dueling expert all of a sudden?" Sunset asks. "By observing of course. I also happened to remember a thing or two." Tempest says.
"Observation one, you seem to have immense anger issues aswell. You also tend to get annoyed very easily."
"No I do not!" Sunset yells, her face slowly turning red.
"I guess it's my turn isn't it." Rainbow says getting Sunset and Tempest's attention. "Huh?" They both say.
"I summon Drill Barnacle!"
Drill Barnacle: 300 ATK
"300 attack points, you are lucky." Tempest says. "What do you mean I'm lucky?" Sunset asks confused.
"I activate my dragons ability!" Rainbow says. "So by using a overlay unit I can power up Leviathan Dragon's strength."
Leviathan dragon: 3000 ATK
"3000 attack points, this just got a whole lot harder..." Sunset says and Tempest floats next to her. "Since Rainbows Leviathan dragon had one last overlay unit remaining, it was pretty obvious of what she would do.
"It's time Leviathan dragon! Attack Go-go-go Golem!" Rainbow commands, Leviathan dragon sends a blue beam of light at Go-go-go Golem destroying Sunsets monster making Sunset raise both of her arms to shield herself. She loses 200 life points going down to 800.
This isn't good, I only have 800 points left. She then looks at Tempest. I guess she was right about me being lucky.
"Don't you think I'm finished yet Sunset! Drill Barnacle attack." Sunset gets thrown back by Rainbows monsters drills and loses 300 more lifepoints dropping all the way down to 500. "Sunset..." Twilight says looking at the girl with worry.
"When in defense mode that Golem has an effect that prevents it from being destroyed in battle. Now do you understand? Why I suggested you bring him out in defense mode." Tempest says. "Woah, I didn't even know about that..." Sunset says. Tempest looks at her hand to see it fading away. "It looks like my life force is fading away." Tempest says and some memories come back to her. "Numbers..." She whispers.
"Hey, what's the matter?" Sunset asks. "The numbers, their the key to unlocking my sealed memories. You see numbers are special cards, even among Xyz monsters. They cannot be defeated like regular cards, and in a duel where number cards are used the winner absorbs the losers number cards." Tempest explains to Sunset.
"I understand what your saying but, I don't have a number card. So where are you going with this?" Sunset asks.
"I'm not entirely sure but, you must win." Tempest tell her. "Otherwise, I will meet a very bad end."
"What am I suppose to do about it? You said it yourself, a number monster can only be defeated by another number monster." Sunset replies and looks at the two cards in her hand. "I don't have the cards for a counter attack, so I'll just have to cross my fingers and hope that I can survive attacks from both Leviathan dragon and Drill Barnacle."
"While you think things over Sunset, I activate Drill Barnacles effect. Because it was able to deal damage to you it now gains 1000 attack points." Rainbow says as Drill Barnacle grows in size almost as big as Leviathan dragon towering over Sunset. "There's more, Drill Barnacles a monster that can attack you directly. Which means on the next turn if that attack connects your screwed."
"Crap! I wasn't planning on a direct attack. What do I do now!" Sunset panics and pulls at her hair. "Wait, I'll just play my facedown." She says. She looks at her duel disk. "Now what did I throw down again..." On her duel disk she taps on her facedown card.
"You played bye-bye damage and if you had activated it earlier you would have dealt damage to Rainbow Dash if you hadn't forgotten about it. And Go-go-go Golem would have not been destroyed." Tempest explains. "Your right, If I hadn't forgotten about this card then Go-go-go Golem would still be here." Sunset says.
"I can help you if you start listening to me for some dueling advice Sunset, not later now. That girl over there came all the to see you correct?" Tempest says and points to Twilight. "Yeah, she did. She even gave me the confidence to go through with this." Sunset says.
"Then let's show her what you are truly capable of. On your next draw we need a card that allows you to summon more than once this turn."
"Alright I'll try." Sunset says and pulls out a card. "For the sake of mine and Applejacks deck, here it goes! I draw!"
"Monster reborn, it seems that fate has come through for us this time." Tempest sighs inrelief. "I summon Ganbara knight in attack mode!" Sunsets monster drops down from the sky infront of her.
Ganbara Knight: 0 ATK
"Sunset why did you go with attack mode!? Ganbara knight has zero attack points!" Applejack says and Rarity facepalms.
"What wait?"
"Just give up Sunset, you can't win!" Rainbow taunts. "Like I said before I'm too stubborn to give up!" Sunset barks.
"It's fine." Tempest says. "It's good that Ganbara knight has zero attack points. On offense it gives us a chance to turn things around.... perhaps." "What do you mean by that!?"
"Quick, bring back Gagaga magician with monster reborn." Tempest says.
"Alright then, from my hand I activate the spell card monster reborn!" Sunsets spell card gives off a bright light. On the ground a purple magic circle appears. "And with it, I bring back Gagaga magician!" Gagaga magician rises out from the magic circle and was now back on the field next to Ganbara knight. "So what," Rainbow says. "His 1500 ATK points are no threat to me." She says and Sunset glares at her.
"At last, the stage is set." Tempest speaks and Sunset gives her a weird look. "For what exactly?" She asks. "Teamwork, overlay level 4 Gagaga magician and Ganbara knight."
"Wait I don't have any— "
"Look at your deck Sunset." Sunset pulls out a card and her eyes widen. "Is this what I think this is?" She asks and Tempest nods. The picture on the card was blurry was she couldn't quite see what type of monster it was. "It's number 39, Utopia."
The image clears and Sunset could see what the monster on the card is. It has a humanoid body with white and golden armor and holding a sword. On Utopia's left shoulder in red was the number 39. "You really gave me a number card?" Sunset asks. "Yes, I did. And now it's yours Sunset."
"This'll definitely even the score. I overlay level 4 Gagaga magician and Ganbara knight!" Both of Sunset's monsters glow and shoot up towards the sky. "And Now that I have, I can do this! Xyz summoning so here it goes!" Sunsets says.
"Rise on up number 39, Utopia!" Sunset and Tempest say in unison, in red the number 39 glows.
Utopia: 2500 ATK
"Take out Rainbows monster Utopia! Attack Drill Barnacle." Utopia takes one of it's blades. "Go rising sun slash!" Utopia raises it's blade over it's head and slashes Drill Barnacle in half destroying it and Rainbows life points go down to 2500.
Sunset: 500
"That was.... brilliant! Keep it up Sunset!" Rarity cheers. Applejack sighed inrelief and tipped her hat towards Sunset.
Atta girl.
"W-what the heck...! There's no way." Rainbow grunts as she gets back up.
"Our job is done yet kid, now to introduce Utopia to Leviathan Dragon."
"Another number monster? Did you two know she had that?" Twilight asks the two girls.
"That's right, ah' don't remember Sunset havin' that card before." Applejack says. "Maybe its one of those newer ones."
"Alright Rainbow, I end my turn." Sunset says with a serious expression before glancing at Twilight.
"Twilight, did you see that?" Sunset says excited with a big smile on her face. The purple haired girl blushed and smiles at Sunset giving her a small nod.
"Sunset darling, that's great and all but... Utopia has 2500 attack points. And Leviathan dragon has 3000, if Rainbow attacks... it's over." Rarity explains.
"Oh crap your right. That's really bad." Said Sunset.
"Your Sunset, that is very bad. Especially since now it's my turn." Rainbow stares Sunset down before drawing her next card.
"I draw from my hand. I activate the spell card surface." Rainbows card materializes on the field.
"Since I did a water monster now surfaces from my graveyard, welcome back Big Jaws."

Sorry for the very long wait! Was meant to post this much sooner but then school started and we had like two hurricanes over here in Florida. And now I'm sick, but I'll try and have the next chapter out as soon as I can.
