The Everfree Forest has always been a dark place of mystery for the residents of Ponyville. Celestia only knows or possibly doesn't know what ancient secrets are still hiding in the forest that few dare to go. But it isn't until a childhood friend of Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy is taken, that they and their friends are forced to go farther than anypony has ever gone and once there, they will learn that some secrets were never meant to stay hidden.
