Actions as well as lack thereof haves Consequences
(SugarCube Corner, 7 years ago)

”YOU DID WHHHAAATTT!!!!!!”
”YOU DID WHHHAAATTT!!!!!!”
The loud roaring voices of the married couple shook the dessert looking building. Thanks to the extreme shock of being told about the fate of their precious cake.
Rarity, Fluttershy, and Rainbow Dash were standing bunch up together, shivering in fear under the righteous fury of the two bakers. Pinkie Pie was also there, hiding behind the front counter. Never have she seen her bosses so angry but given the circumstance of the situation. They have every right to be.
She and her friends knew they would have to tell them about what happened to MMMM, it was,

Pinkie wanted to be there by the girl's side when they confess. But they said that she had done nothing wrong, and they should be the ones to tell The Cakes the truth. Which was exactly what they did as Pinkie sat in the sidelines, watching as
told The Cakes everything that happened. Pinkie of course pop in to talk about the investigation but could do no more than sit there as The Cakes chewed out her friends.
“YOU THREE ATE OUR CAKE?” Mrs. Cake asked in anger.
“N-not the whole thing, darling.” Rarity said with a shaky voice. “I only meant to take a little, lady-like bite.” Rainbow and Fluttershy nodded.
The Cake’s scowled at the fashionista exclamation, before Mr. Cake reach into his apron pocket and pulled out a photo and showed it to the three. “Does THIS look like a lady-like bite to you?”

The three mare’s looks at the photo. Confuse as to why the picture even exist in the first place. They then turned to Pinkie for answers and she said. “What!? You should always take photos of the crime scene. So, you can review the evidence later.”
The three culprits turned their attention back to the bakers. When Mrs. Cake spoke. Now holding the photo as she looks at it. “It looks more like you each took one giant bite out of it or quick and fast multiple ones.” She said before putting the photo away.
Rarity chuckled nervously. “Well, I did say *meant to*, darling. Pinkie Pie just made it sound so delectable.
So tasty.
And boy was it!
And it was so good.
Yeah, I just dove right in!
But I'm really really sorry.
Terribly sorry.
Sorry, Mr. and Mrs. Cake.
Each girl bowed their heads as they apologize. Feeling horrible for what they have done and hope that The Cakes could forgive them.
The Cakes look at one another and nodded in silent agreement before turning back to the three mare’s.
After a few moments of silence. Mr. Cake spoke. “I’m glad to hear how much you three liked it.”
“And took responsibility to come to us to confess and apologize.” Said Mrs. Cake.
The girls raised their heads to look at the bakers. With hope in their eyes. The Cakes sounded like they were going to forgive them. But that hope instantly died the second the married bakers scowled angrily at them.
“But you three are here by BANNED from our shop, effective immediately.” Mr. Cake announced angrily.
“Now GET OUT and never come back!” Yelled Mrs. Cake.
Silence. Pure uncomfortable, agonizing, silence. Time had seemed to have stopped in that moment as the reality of the situation began to settle in.
Pinkie Pie, who have been watching from behind the front counter. Was absolutely horrified at her boss's decision. Throughout her years of working here. She had never seen nor heard of The Cakes banning anyone from their shop. It was just unheard of. But then again, no pony had ever done anything to make them anywhere near angry enough to warrant such a punishment, until now. So, it's not like the pink earth pony doesn't understand why her bosses are banning her friends. She just wishes it didn't happen.
As for the three mare’s. They were to absolutely horrified at The Cakes decision to ban them from SugarCube Corner.
Fluttershy couldn't help but start crying at the terrible news. Rarity; also feeling just as sad. Still tried to comfort her friend by patting her on the back. As for Rainbow Dash. She just stood there, flabbergasted for a bit before speaking.
“BANNED!? Why are you banning us? We said we’re sorry!”
“What!? You thought we were just going to instantly forgive you. Just because you felt really bad for what you did and apologize.” Said Mrs. Cake. “I don't know what fantasy world you three think you're in, but this is the real world.”
“You didn't think you could just pull such an idiotic stunt like that and get away with it by simply feeling remorse and apologize. Without facing any consequences for your actions did you.” Mr. Cake added.
Pinkie Pie spoke up. “I-I did!” she said nervously. “After they were found out and confess. I forgave them after they apologize.
“I understand why you did, deary. After all they are your friends, and you don't want to get mad at them.” Mrs. Cake explained.
“But I'm afraid that’s not going to cut it. Not one bit.” Said Mr. Cake. He then turned his attention back at the three mare’s “The National Dessert Competition was no mere baking contract.
“It also serves as a way for bakers to show off their baking skills and advertise their goods.” Mrs. Cake added. “The competition is like a steppingstone for aspiring chefs to present their own new, and originally made desserts to the world.”
“Mulia Mild, Gustave le Grand, and Donut Joe are just three known chefs. Each with their own restaurant. Just like everyone else who entered the contest.” Mr. Cake added. “Like Chiffon said. The contest is a way for chefs to show off their baking skills. By presenting something new and original. The Marzipan Mascarpone Meringue Madness was Chiffon
and I gift to the world. We didn't make it by following some recipe in a cookbook.”
“Carrot and I are the sole original creators of that cake.” Chiffon added. “Everything about it was 100% original. It took months of planning and testing to make. It was our most pride and greatest achievement, and we were looking forward to hearing the results about it and what everyone thinks.”
“But the only ones who got to taste it in its original form. Were you three!” Carrot said angrily. Pointing at the three mare’s. “Not only that but no one really got a chance to eat the conjoined cake because Pinkie Pie ate the whole thing in one gulp.”

“Which was smart of her to do. Because it saved us a whole lot of trouble.” Said Chiffon.
That got the three mare’s confused.
“What exactly do you mean by that?” Asked Rainbow.
Chiffon turns to Pinkie. “Pinkie Pie! Would you care to explain?”
Pinkie let out a sigh. “I didn't just eat the whole cake because I was just being silly. I did it so no one; except Celestia. Would eat any of it.”
That got the three mare’s confused.
“But why, darling?” Rarity asked.
“Because it won first place and the prize wasn't just a shiny blue ribbon, but to also have your creation recipe put in the cookbook of the world's most greatest dishes and their chefs. That alone, combined with winning the contest as well as the publicity, would bring a large boom in sales for victors' restaurant. But because the dessert was just a last minute thrown together creation. Mulia, Gustave, Joe, and I,
Knew we couldn't accept the final award that came with first place. It was a decision we made right after we finished preparing the conjoined cake. Because there's no way we can put what was just thrown together like that in the world's greatest cookbook. It would be extremely difficult for anyone to make from pure scratch. Considering just how much baking you have to do. Just to make one cake.” Pinkie shook her head in frustration. ”And it was not like we can form an alliance to run a shop together. That's just too much trouble and would mean that some of us would have to move just to live closer to each other. So, we agreed to not accept the main prize if we won, and I agreed to stop others from eating it, by eating the whole thing myself. I even told Celestia about the real reason I did that. Since she was the only other pony who ate the piece Twilight gave to her.
It was better this way and when the next competition comes. We’ll just try again in presenting our own desserts like we originally were supposed to....without another mishap like that again.” Pinkie finish.
Carrot spoke. “So, in other words. You three not only ruined our cake but destroyed our chance at getting some good publicity. If we had won. SugarCube Corner would be booming with customers far and wide. Wanting to try our cake.”
Chiffon continues. “And the money we would have made. Would of help us a great deal. We were going to use the money to buy new equipment, remodel the shop a bit, like giving the babies their own bedrooms for when they get older.”
“But we can kiss those plans goodbye, for now. Sure, there always the next competition but that doesn't help with the next big thing you three wasted for us.” Carrot finish.
“And what’s that?” Fluttershy asked.
”Money!”
”Money!”
That caught the three off guard. For none of them expected that as answer. At least more so for Rainbow and Fluttershy. Less so for Rarity. For she fully understands exactly what the cakes were getting at and it only made feel even worse for what she had done. She nor her two friends really didn't think things through before instantly giving into temptation.
“...If I may dare ask...about how much?” asked Rarity, staring in shock.
Carrot taps his chin as he thought about it. “hmmm, Considering the months of testing. When making the prototypes, which means we had to buy multiple fresh ingredients, some which had to be delivered, like the Marzipan, Mascarpone, and Meringue, so that includes delivery cost. All leading up to buying everything we needed for the actual cake itself......I say about 3000 bits at the least.”
(Pinkie breaks the fourth wall to deliver a message)
3000 bits. Yeah, I don't think that’s completely accurate. Clearly just a random number chosen, but I get what the writer of this story trying to do here.
He’s not a math wiz and he’s trying to get out the fact that The Cakes spent months planning and testing when they started working on the cake. It makes sense that they would make prototype versions. Seeing what works and what doesn't before making the real one. It is an original never before been made cake after all. So, the final product would cost a lot less to make.
Anyway, just breaking the 4th wall to deliver this message to you guys. Because the author doesn't want to have to deal with it in the comments. Sorry for interrupting and back to the story.
The three mare’s jaws drop after hearing what The Cakes had spent to make MMMM.
“It cost that much just to make one cake?” Said Rainbow.
“No, darling. It cost that much to make multiple test versions including the final product.” Rarity explained.
Chiffon nodded. “Though most of the ingredients we got here in Ponyville. The three main ingredients we needed were delivered and it wasn't cheap either. That cake was made with the most freshest ingredients. Truly our most expensive work.”
“But not anywhere near as much if you are just making one cake. The most expensive thing we would have to buy are the Marzipan, Mascarpone, and Meringue but that wouldn't be so bad in the long run. But it was when we needed enough to make the protypes. That’s the reason why the price is as high as it is.” Carrot explained.
“And I know you two,” Chiffon points to Rainbow and Fluttershy. “Have some knowledge on this because you're both friends with Rarity who knows all about spending money to make money. After all are businesses shares that similarity. She needs to buy the things she needs to make her dresses just as Carrot and I need to buy what we need make our goods.”
“So, none of that crossed any of your minds when you decided to eat our cake?” Asked Carrot.
Silence.
“Or the fact the that you could of have your share if you had just been patient?” Said Chiffon. “I mean for crying out loud it was a BAKING CONTEST! What do you think happens to the food after the event is over?”
“It gets shared and eaten by the public!” Rarity sadly answers.
“EXACTLY!” Chiffon bellowed. “But despite knowing about the importance of the cake, and that it was going to a contest where at the end. You three would have gotten your share, without any issue. You still chose to eat it and the only excuse you have is that Pinkie spoke about how delicious it was. Well, that’s no excuse at all and don't even bother bringing up that the other bakers did the same to each other. Cause I. Don't. Care about them eating each other desserts. That's their issue to work out. I’m still wondering why you three decided to eat our cake. Knowing full well of its importance.”
Fluttershy tries to speak up. “W-we’re sor-”
“NO, YOU'RE NOT!” Chiffon yelled. interrupting the shy mare. who only coward in fear at the very angry baker mare? “You three aren't sorry for eating our cake. you're sorry that you got caught! After all, if you really were sorry. You would of confess the second the bite marks were discovered. But instead, you each kept quiet about it. Hoping the truth never gets revealed. Even if that means that someone else take the fall.” Chiffon shakes her head in disgust. “You three are a disgrace to the elements you represent. You BETRAYED
our trust, were completely SHELFISH
, and were absolutely CRUEL
”
Chiffon’s words hit the three mare’s hard. They felt even more worse than they were at the start, but Chiffon wasn't done yet.
“All the hard work, Carrot and I did was all for nothing. All those months of planning, testing, effort, money, tears and sweat that went into making that cake was COMPLETELY WASTED thanks to you three and all because you couldn't keep your greedy hooves to yourselves, and you think a simple apology would make up for all that? So let's say if you Rainbow. Spent months perfecting a new stunt for The Best Young Flyer competition. One that would guarantee your victory and spending the day with the Wonderbolts. But Carrot and I came in and purposely did something that we knew was wrong but did it anyway. Ruining your stunt at the last minute causing you to lose. Thus, making all your hard work a big waste of time. If we came and apologize. Would you happily accept it at a drop of a hat?”
“No!” Rainbow said sadly. “I would be absolutely furious.”
“And what about you Rarity!” Carrot asked the unicorn. “Could you easily forgive us if we ruined a very special dress you made for very super important client?”
“No!”
“Then you three know the full weight of what you did to us and why we banned you from our shop.” Chiffon said sternly. The three mare’s, solemnly nodded. “Good, and let this be a lesson for you three, Actions haves Consequences and you must always face them head on instead trying to run away from them. Cause if you don't, one day they will catch up to you. One way or another.” The three mare’s just nodded to acknowledge their understanding. “Then that's all we have to say. You three may show yourselves out.”
With that said. Rainbow, Fluttershy, Rarity looks at one another. Seeing the guilty and sad looks upon each other faces but there was also something else. Determination. They remembered what Mrs. Cake about taking responsibility for your actions and she’s right. They want to do the right thing and fix the mess they created by doing just that. After their silent conversation. The three agreed to apologize to The Cakes again. For real this time. With newfound spirit. The three culprits stood firm with strong determination.
“Why are you three just standing there?” Asked Chiffon. “We told you to leave!”
We know...” said Rainbow Dash, giving a guilty sigh. “Look... what we did was bad...”
“Yes, it was,” Mrs. Cake said.
“And we're sorry...” Rarity added, lowering her head.
“We really are! For real this time.” Fluttershy added.
“As you mentioned earlier, I'd be just as mad if somepony wrecked a big stunt that I spent months planning for the biggest flying contest in Equestria...I'd be more than upset, I'd be furious...but can we please just make it up to you somehow?” asked Rainbow Dash, with an unusual seriousness about her. “...I'm a lot of things...but I hate the idea of betraying somepony... For something I did, and I want to make up for it.”
“As do I!” Said Rarity.
“Me too!” Said Fluttershy.
Rainbow speaks. “You said that ponies should take responsibility for their actions and face the consequences. The three of us want to do just that and are willing to do whatever you say as punishment in order to have our ban lifted.” Rainbow bowed her head. “Please, let us make up for our mistake and prove to you both how sorry we are.”
Pinkie Pie speaks. Getting her bosses attentions. “Please, Mr. are Mrs. Cake!” She pleaded. “Can you please give my friends a chance to make up for what they did?”
The two married bakers looked over to the trio, seeing the guilty and apologetic looks on their faces. This time they can truly see that they now understand the depth of what they did and genuinely wants to make up for eating their precious cake. The Cakes turned aside and whispered to each other. The three ponies waited nervously for an answer. After what felt like an eternity. The Cakes finish their discussion, turned to face the three, and gave their answer.
“Alright, if you want to make it up to us, you're going to be working your flanks off,” Mrs. Cake replied. “If you do, we will lift the ban. You three will spend the next few months cleaning up the shop from top to bottom, inside and out, and helping out if we need you to. Working off what you took from us and the work you wasted, deal?”
”Deal!”
”Deal!”
“...Do I have to wear a hair net?” Rarity asked with a bit of hesitation in her tone.
“If we need you to,” Mr. Cake replied sternly.
“...I suppose I had that coming.” Rarity sighed.
”Deal!”
(Sugarcube Corner, present day, 9:30 at night)
“So, the next day early in the morning before we opened shop. We gave those three separates different jobs to start with.” Said Mrs. Cake.
“We had Rainbow clean the basement, Fluttershy, the attic, and Rarity had to give the ovens a good scrubbing.” Said Mr. Cake.
Raven Inkwell was drinking her milkshake as she listened to the married baker's story, while using her magic to expertly write down notes in her note pad. All three of them was sitting at one of the restaurants tables. The shop had long since closed 30 minutes ago and the glasses wearing mare was the only customer there.
“I’m sure Rarity didn't enjoy that job one bit!” Raven said after finishing her milkshake.
Carrot shook his head. “No, she did not, but those ovens been needing to be cleaned for a long time now, they were filled with grease and grime. Of course, she didn't come out without dirtying her coat, we allowed her to take a shower after she finished cleaning all the ovens, after which she aided the other two after they finish their respective jobs, in cleaning the rest of the building from top to bottom. From the shop to the living quarters.”
“And when they’re not cleaning, they're helping with the shop. Either baking in the kitchen, running the register, or serving customers. Of course, they aren't paid, since they are just temporary employees who are working off what they owe us.” Said Chiffon.
“How long did they work for you two to paid off their debt?” Asked Raven.
“Three months!” Carrot answered.
“And the three of them work really hard to. It really felt great having three more extra hooves to help out around here.” Chiffon sighed. “Alas, it couldn't last forever. Eventually the three paid their debt to us and were finally free from servitude, and to show our appreciation for them taking full responsibility for their actions and putting forth genuine effort to make up for eating our cake, Carrot and I gifted them each a box with a small version of The Marzipan Mascarpone Meringue Madness, or as Pinkie would nickname it, MMMM.”
“They definitely earned it after everything they have done for us, and we know they truly learned their lesson about action and consequences.” Said Carrot.
Chiffon speaks. “As well as knowing that simply apologizing and feeling bad for something you knew was wrong, but did it anyway isn't a get out of jail free card. As I said in the story. Actions haves Consequences and you must always face them head on instead trying to run away from them. Cause if you don't, one day they will catch up to you. One way or another.”
Carrot nodded in agreement.
”Now if only a certain gang of idiots would figure that out from themselves.” Raven mumbled to herself, as she wrote in her note pad.
“Did you say something, dear?” Asked Chiffon.
Raven finish writing and levitated her pen and note pad into her saddle bag, sitting on the floor. “It's nothing! I was just thinking out loud, sorry about that.”
Chiffon shrug it off. “No worries, dear, but I do have a question I want to ask you?”
“What is it?”
“How exactly is our story about an event that happened seven years ago, supposed to help you with this.... Investigation of yours?”
“And what exactly does it have to do with Discord?”
Raven raised an eyebrow. “You mean Pinkie didn't tell you? About Spike’s death!”
“She told us how he sacrifices himself to save her, and her friends lives, but most of the time she’d been crying.”
*BANG* “Curse those monsters!” Said Carrot after slamming a hoof on the table. “How could they murder Spike like that.”
“It wasn't technically their fault; it was Spike’s stupid plan that got himself killed.” Said Raven.
Chiffon and Carrot were flabbergasted at what Raven just said.
“RAVEN!” Chiffon yelled. “How could you say such a thing. What Spike did was-”
“Completely unnecessary!” Raven interrupted.
Raven’s words both shock and confused the married couple.
“W-What do you mean it was unnecessary?” Carrot asked. “If he hadn't did what he did, there would be 7 deaths instead of one. That's still doesn't make it good, but it's better than the alternative. Lesser of two evils and all that.”
“But you're wrong, there were many opportunities available that would ensure his survival if he just took the moment to think.” Raven countered.
“Even so, can you blame him!” Said Carrot. “In the heat of the moment like that, he wouldn't have time to think.”
Raven shook her head. “That's where I disagree with you, Mr. Cake. I heard the story of what happened multiple times from the each of the Mane 6 and by the sound of things, Spike had plenty of time to come up with a better idea than his Super dragon kamikaze attack, and he’s not the only one who could have done differently but chose not to.”
“Who?!” Chiffon asked.
“The Mane 6!” Raven answered.
“The Mane 6?!” Carrot asked confusingly.
Raven nodded. “I don't know exactly what Pinkie told you, but she and her friends could have easily help Spike but chose to just sit there and do nothing as Spike pointlessly kills himself for nothing.... It's not like there was anything holding them back, nor were they being overpowered by the L.O.D. Chrysalis literally had to hold Spike hostage and threatened to rip off his wings to get them to stand down, she wouldn't have to do that if her team was dominating the fight.”
Chiffon and Carrot couldn't help but agree with Raven on that. Pinkie told them everything about the battle. Back then they didn't think much on it due to the news of Spike’s death and how sad Pinkie was at the time, but it has been two weeks since Spike’s death and now that have time to really think about it, they now realized what Raven is trying to say and the thought horrified them.
Raven’s sharp eyes instantly caught on to the Cake’s horrified expression, knowing that they had just realized what the Mane 6 didn't do.
Raven continues. “But it seemed that everyone involved in that fight was hit with the dumbass stick. You would think that she would hold on to Spike, while Tirek and Cozy Glow kills the mane 6 or whatever, but what does she do?” There was a moment of silence. “She throws him back to them; I mean what the hell was she thinking? Why would she throw away her leverage like that? That was the most stupidest move any villain could ever do,” Raven paused for a moment. “Oh, wait my bad, I forgot Tirek did the same thing when he set free all of Twilight’s friends first before taking her magic.” Raven shakes her head in annoyance. “And in both situations Twilight could have easily teleported her friends to safety, and before anybody says anything, yes, I’m aware that Twilight giving up her magic is what got her, her key and led to Tirek’s downfall, I know that, but the same can't be said in the fight against the L.O.D.
As I just said, Twilight could have teleported herself and her friends to safety, she literally did just that to dodge Cozy first attack on them and I can prove it.” Raven horn begins to glow, and a magical screen appeared between her and the cakes. “Now, unfortunately I couldn't just focus solely on the one event I want but that hardly matters, just watch and see for yourself and you can see exactly why, Spike’s Sacrifice was completely unnecessary.”
Roll Credits
“What the heck! Was that Pinkie Pie? I thought she was still in Canterlot!” Said Raven. She was absolutely confused. She knows for a fact that Pinkie is still in Canterlot. For she and the others wanted to stay until the upcoming trial.
“She is!” Chiffon answered. “And she won't be back for a while.”
Now it was Raven’s turn to be flabbergasted.
“Take my advice Ms. Inkwell and just don't think about it too much or else you'll drive yourself insane.” Carrot suggested.
Raven decided to take his advice and just drop it. “Fine, let's just watch the video.” Raven lighted her horn and played the video.

Once the video was over, Raven made the screen, disappear.
Raven adjusted her glasses. “As you just witness, Twilight easily teleported herself and her friends to safety and Spike was with them.... So why didn't she just do the same thing again a second time. If Chrysalis had held on to Spike, it would we be understandable, but what did she do?” Raven made another magic screen appear.
Chrysalis stupidity
“She gives him back!” Raven makes the screen disappear. “She literally throws away her only leverage, thus giving the heroes a chance to counterattack, since Spike was no longer in any danger, and it was not like Twilight was anywhere near out of magic, she fought Starlight in a much longer fight before she became exhausted, and you clearly saw that she wasn't at all tired yet. Which means she definitely could have teleported, but for some stupid reason she didn't bother to think about doing that, nor did her friends think about telling her, that includes Spike, and thanks to Twilight having a *duh* moment, Spike chose to jump up and take the bell, and as he flew around dodging and blocking attacks from the L.O.D. Not a single one of the Mane 6 decided to do something to help. They just sat there and watch.
You saw how they were able to put up a good fight against the L.O.D. so why didn't they just attack them while they were distracted, maybe Twilight could have figured out how to activate the bell and take the evil trio's powers away or better have Pinkie Pie do it, I’m willing to bet that she can.” Raven takes a moment to calm herself before speaking again.
“There were many different ways Spike’s or anybody death could have easily been avoided, but no one thought to do anything smart. You two believe that actions have consequences and that's true, but no actions can also have its consequences, seeing how the mane 6 did nothing which resulted in Spike getting killed.”
Raven thought back to the day of Spike’s funeral. Of course, she was there to say her goodbyes, but she was also secretly conducting her investigation into the truth, The real truth behind the young drake death.
After Spike was buried in his final resting place. Raven saw the Princesses, Spike’s harem, and friends gathered together and talking. She quickly sneaks over without being notice and stood close enough to ease drop on their conversation.
"Twilight," she whispered in a tone that was even softer the Fluttershy's.
Twilight sniffed and looked up her mentor. Her purple eyes reflected unimaginable amounts of pain and sorrow.
"If you or any of your friends ever need any emotional support, please don't be afraid to ask us for help. With each other's help, we can be strong and hopefully be able to move past this event," Celestia said. "Spike would've wanted it that way."
Twilight broke down again. She eventually got her composure together and gave Celestia the scariest glare ever. Celestia gulped and felt chills run down her spine. She knew she had said that wrong. Now, she could only prepare for the tongue lashing that her former student was about to give her.
"I'm sorry, but HOW do you expect us to "move on" from this?! Spike was the rock that supported ALL OF US in our time of need! He was literally THE ONLY ONE who made not just me, but 11 other girls, feel loved and appreciated! Now he's gone not because of his heroic actions, but because I was LITERALLY too stupid to put a plan together and save our Spike and because I can't make a good decision about anything," Twilight choked out between sobs before she began crying even harder. "It's all my fault."
”Ain't that the truth.” Raven thought to herself. After remembering what Twilight said that day. ”If you had just done something, anything really, then Purple Bear would still be alive but instead you chose to let him die.”
Raven turned her attention back to the Cakes. “But even if the mane 6 lack of action help guaranteed Spike’s unfortunate demise, they are not responsible for his death, there is only one person who is truly the blame.”
“One?!” Chiffon said confusingly. “Don't you mean three!”
Of course, the cakes don't know about Discord being the one who started the Legion of doom. Pinkie must have left that part out and they clearly don't know about Cozy Glow situation now. Oh well, it doesn't matter, for soon all of Equestria and beyond will learn the truth and Raven will be the one to show it to them.
“My apologies, you're right, I guess I must be getting tired, it is getting late.” Raven turned to look at the clock on the wall. 10:25pm it said. She really should get going. “I think is time for me to head on out but before I go,” using her magic Raven opened her saddle bags and levitated out a piece of paper. “Can you two answer one last question for me?”
“Sure, what is it?” Asked Carrot.
Raven floated the paper over to the married couple setting it down on the table before them. The paper was actually a photo of two creatures.

“Can you tell me who that is standing in front Rarity?” Raven asked.
“Well, that's obviously, Spike!” Carrot answered.
“Without a doubt that's, Spike!” Said Chiffon.
Raven nodded and with her magic levitated a sheet of paper and a pen out of her bag and gave them to the Cakes. “You two are correct, now if you please, write down your answer and signature and we’ll be done here.”
The Cakes look down at the sheet of paper and at the to it read,
WHO’S THAT CREATURE?
And underneath it is a long list of pony's names and beside each of them was the word “Spike” repeated over and over again. Chiffon and Carrot had no idea what this was all about, but they added their names and answer none the less, before hoofing over the items back to Raven, who place them all back in her bag.
After that was done. Raven said her thank you and goodbyes before leaving the shop and heading off to the hotel she’s spending the night at.
(Ponyville Hotel, Raven’s room)
Raven is in her hotel room, sitting on her bed, talking with a good friend of hers.
”So, I assume your investigation has been going well?”
Raven chuckles. “Better than I’ve imagine. I gathered so much info in the past two weeks faster than I thought. Good thing to, for I’ll be able to jump in and confront the Princesses before Chrysalis and Tirek’s trial.”
”Are you sure you have everything you need?”
“I still need real evidence to truly convict Discord and prove his guilt, but I have more than enough proof to get him put on trial at least, as for the former, I’m not worried at all. I have everything already planned and ready to go, all I have to do is get my notes in order and schedule a meeting with the princesses.”
”And that’s when you come out and tell them how you plan to defend Chrysalis and Tirek in court as their defense attorney.”
“Indeed, thanks to me being a defense attorney in the past, and the fact that Chrysalis and Tirek haves a right to an attorney. It's only a matter of time before the truth about Discord is brought to light.”
Not that I don't have faith in your abilities ms. Inkwell, I for one personally know how formidable you can be. But are you sure your plan is going to work? If those two don't accept you as their attorney, then your entire plan will fall.”
“Oh please, even you know those two aren't stubborn enough to let themselves be executed without getting payback against the one who trick them and used them as pawns. Tirek I can tell is easy to reason with, which of course means Chrysalis will be the real challenge, but I already have a plan to handle her, so all in all getting them to accept my help will be super easy, barely an inconvenience.”
”Oh really?”
“Mmm hmmm, just trust me, I know what I’m doing.”
