//-------------------------------------------------------// Harry Potter and the Equestrian world -by SUPERETHAN2- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// 1 Welcome to Equestria, Harry //-------------------------------------------------------// 1 Welcome to Equestria, Harry Twilight Sparkle quickly checked her massive checklist for the one thousandth time. Her friends, including Spike, were quickly helping Pinkie hang streamers and banners all over the room. Everything had to be perfect as the princess have told her there was going to be a surprise task for her and her friends with even a hint that it will interest her and maybe give her something new to study. Twilight was both intrigued and hopeful for whatever it could be. “Twilight, why are we doing this again?” Rainbow asked impatiently, as she hung the final banner on the top wall of the library. “I told you before. The princess has an important task for us and will be bringing a special guest. She will tell us more when she gets here,” Twilight answered, without even looking up from her list. “I hope it’s a new friend for us to meet,” Pinkie spoke up with a grin, before hopping in place in excitement, “Oh, if it is. I can easily change these decorations to ones for a welcoming party and even invite more ponies for the fun.” “You might want to hold off on the latter until the princess and the guest is ok with it, Pinkie,” Twilight simply pointed out. “Okie dokie!” “I am sure it involves friendship in one way or another,” Applejack spoke up. “Yeah, hopefully another villain to beat and awesome adventure to go on!” Rainbow suggested with a grin. “Oh, Rainbow, darling. We all don’t share your love for those things,” Rarity responded, shaking her head, “I hope for something less dangerous, but still interesting.” “I hope so too, Rarity,” Fluttershy spoke up. Twilight finally looked up from her list and gave the room one final inspection, before nodding in approval. “I think we are ready for the prin-” Suddenly, before Twilight could finish her sentence, a bright white light filled the room and everyone was briefly dazed from it, before blinking, once it faded. They were then greeted by the sight of Princess Celestia, but the most shocking thing was the creature next to her. He was about half a foot taller, standing on two legs. He had messy black hair and lovely emerald green eyes, with glasses resting on the pitch of his nose. He was wearing a simple, yet stunning black and green robes, that Rarity found herself silently praising in her head. The most stunning feature was a lightning shape scar on his forehead. Fluttershy found herself gasping and feeling sympathy for him having it. She silently hoped it no longer pains him, while Rainbow silently thought it looked cool and pondered how he exactly got it. Most likely something cool. The ponies were focusing on the mysterious creature in front of them, they actually forgot to bow to the princess. “Greetings, my little ponies!” The princess spoke up in a tone of voice that reminded Harry a little bit of the comforting phoenix song, “As I am sure Twilight told you, I have a new special task for each of you.” “What is our task princess?” Rainbow asked eagerly, “Does it involve him?” “Rainbow!” Both Twilight and Rarity scolded, “Don’t be rude in front of the princess.” “It’s quite alright,” The princess chuckled, “To answer your question. Yes, your task involves Harry here.” “Harry? That’s his name?” Twilight asked eagerly, studying him and she wasn’t the only one. Fluttershy found herself silently inspecting this new unknown creature in front of her. He seemed to mostly resemble the average equestrian ape, except without the fur. What kind of creature is he and how did he get that nasty scar? “Yes, my name is Harry James Potter,” He finally spoke up, “To answer the main question I am sure is on your mind. I am a human, which are, simply put, hairless and smarter apes,” He explained getting the first question answered and out of the way. The ponies simply nodded with Fluttershy giving him a smile. Princess Celestia took a deep breath, as she pondered how to best explain the situation. “My little ponies, I am about to let you know a secret project that recently has been a success and I hope you all will keep silent with what I am about to tell you,” Celestia explained with a serious look. Harry was reminded of the few times he witnessed Dumbledore getting pushed to be more serious like this. It seems Princess Celestia also had the ability to control a room the exact same way. The other ponies upon seeing the seriousness of the situation nodded in agreement. “Good. My royal scientists have theorized the existence of other worlds and have been searching for one for a long time now. At first, I only agreed to encourage them and their interests, so color me surprised when they at long last managed to find and achieve access to one.” “That’s why Harry is here,” Twilight supplied. “Indeed, my student,” Celestia nodded, before gently placing a hoof on Harry’s shoulder, signaling him to explain from his perspective. Harry took a relaxing deep breath, as the ponies eagerly waited to hear more. “Your sudden arrival into our world gave us quite a shock, especially since we fairly recently got done stopping a terrible war,” Harry began, getting gasps from the others, “I rather not go into detail about it right now, but we were so worried about getting attacked so soon, we took careful precaution. Our minister, Kingsley Shacklebolt, quickly called me and my team to make sure nothing bad happens.” “Thankfully, I was there to help sort things out,” Celestia added. “Right. The last thing we needed, while recovering was to face another threat from another world.” “Are you a guard or something?” Rainbow asked. “You could say that. I am the head Auror,” He answered, “Dark wizard catcher. We are the best of the best when it comes to that.” He clarified at the somewhat confusing looks. “Wizard? As in, you can do magic?” Spike asked with a hopeful look on his face, notifying his presence to Harry for the first time. Harry was a little taken aback at the baby dragon standing on two feet. Seems dragons in this world are different. He remembered facing the Hungarian Horntail during the first task from his fourth year and hoped he wouldn’t have to face another bigger dragon in the future while here, but knowing his luck… Meanwhile Twilight was stunned into silence. Did Harry say he was a wizard and could do magic? She found herself pondering what kind of magic and if it’s like the one unicorns use. “That’s another surprise that will interest Twilight,” Celestia answered, causing the purple mare to blink, “In Harry’s world is a different kind of magic to our own. Each with its own rules and properties.” “You mean I have another world worth of magic to discover and learn about?” Twilight asked. “Yes, Twilight,” Celestia simply answered. Everyone in the room, except for Celestia and Twilight had to cover their ears, as the purple unicorn let out an exciting shriek. “Yes! This is the best surprise and day ever!” Twilight exclaimed, while doing a cheerful dance, which Pinkie ended up joining. Rainbow and the others shook their heads at their friend’s behavior, while Harry was reminded of his nerdy bookish friend. It seems this world keeps reminding him of his friends and past and he just got here. “Anyway, seeing the opportunity to see a new world and that I have been busy gathering up remnants of the war I mentioned, Kingsley suggested I check out this place as a vacation while gathering information, so we can all develop a good relationship with one another,” Harry finished explaining. “I was more than happy to give Harry the opportunity and to help spread friendship to another world and I trust you six will show Harry around Ponyville and to help him with his working vacation.” Celestia added, giving the ponies a smile. “You can count on us, Princess,” Twilight responded with a nod and grin, “This is going to be exciting.” “For once I agree with you egghead,” Rainbow added. “Hey!” “It would be our pleasure princess. I would like to know more about a world that could design well-made robes,” Rarity commented. “I am always happy to make new friends and it being a new species makes it better!” Pinkie exclaimed, bouncing in place. “It would be nice to learn about any new species from another world,” Fluttershy spoke up quietly with a nervous smile. Harry found himself slightly smiling, as the yellow pegasus reminded him a bit of Hagrid. Hopefully, she won’t be fond of the more dangerous creatures of his world. “I am more than happy to help give Harry some good old Apple family hospitality,” Applejack said, nodding her hat at him. “Glad to hear it, my little ponies,” Celestia nodded, before looking at Harry, “Harry, I will talk with the mayor to give you your house. In the meantime, I trust you will get to know the others,” She told him, before making her way to the library door. Harry simply nodded, before looking at the eager smiling ponies and dragon in front of him. He mentally sighed at him once again being the center of attention. Despite having to deal with it since the age of 11, he will never like or even be used to his fame. On the bright side these ponies don’t know him as the boy who live, or the chosen one. He will be able to make friends just by being him. He could be well liked and known on completely his own merits. He was taken out of his thoughts when Celestia opened the library door and in came his faithful owl, Hedwig, flying in, before resting on his shoulder. The six mares and dragon seemed stunned by this, while Celestia chuckled, before leaving. Once they snapped out of their shock, Fluttershy beamed at the sight of her. “She’s a beautiful owl. Is she yours?” “Yes, she’s been my first friend since I got her at the age of 11,” Harry nodded, as he gently stroked her features, getting an affectionate nip in response, “We have been through thick and thin together.” “How wonderful!” Fluttershy praised, “I can’t wait to learn more about other creatures from your world.” “You're not the only one!” Twilight exclaimed, “I want to know everything!” Harry mentally groaned at the excited unicorn in front of him. It seems this purple unicorn is much worse than Hermione could possibly hope to be. He found himself wishing he was either her or better yet Dumbledore himself, since both would be better suited to answer and deal with her. He shook his head and touched his Mokeskin pouch. Hermione thought ahead and decided to give him a “few” books to help spread knowledge of their world. All his other possessions were safely stored away in there as well, including three certain things he rather keep under wraps. “Lucky you. I with help from a few friends came prepared,” Harry spoke, before pulling out various different books from his pouch and setting them on the table. Twilight’s eyes lit up at the sight of the various different books, containing knowledge of a type of magic new and unknown to her and she found herself tapping her hooves on the floor in excitement. “There are even a few books about different magical creatures,” Harry told Fluttershy, who ended up smiling nervously and excitedly, “Fair warning. There are unicorns in our world too, but they are different.” “There are?” Twilight asked. “Yes, just so you know and don’t freak out.” Twilight simply nodded before jumping at the chance at reading those new books. Harry chuckled at the sight. “Relax. Those books aren’t going to disappear. At least I won’t do that, “ He began, getting no response at his bad joke, “Anyway, you all haven’t told me your names and Princess Celestia only named a few of you.” “Right. We should have done that first,” Twilight responded sheepishly, “We were focused on you, it slipped our minds.” “That’s ok.” The girls quickly and eagerly introduced themselves, before Twilight rushed to read the books, with Fluttershy quietly joining her to read one on the various magical creatures. Hedwig hopped off Harry and joined her by sitting at the table and she gently began stroking her features while she read. Harry turned towards the others. “So, mind telling me about yourselves?” Harry asked. The unoccupied ponies and dragon nodded and Harry for once wasn’t completely annoyed at being the center of attention. Author's Note Story idea I considered starting since there isn't really much harry potter fimfiction. At least ones that interest me that haven't been abandoned. Likely won't be a main story, but we will see. There have been some changes like Hedwig surviving the seven potters incident and Harry didn't get back together with Ginny. He stayed single after Voldy's defeat and simply focused on finishing the rest of the death eaters. His talent at defense and determination at his goal earned him his spot as head Auror quickly with Kingsley's favor of course to help speed things up. There will be other changes revealed later down the line though one change the clever could likely guess at the hint here.
