The Great War of Equestria

There are many nations within the continent of Equestria: the Solar Empire, the Lunar Republic, the Changeling Hive, the Dragonlands, the Griffon Empire, the Buffalo Confederation, Yakyakistan, the Crystal Empire, the Unified Kirin States, and the Hippogriff Kingdom. For reasons unknown, all of these formidable nations have begun to fight in a war that has lasted well-over one hundred years. Twilight Sparkle, a citizen of the Solar Empire and personal apprentice of the God-Empress herself, grows curious as to the exact cause of the war. She decides to head out and investigate, even if that means crossing into enemy territory to do so. Along the way, she meets other ponies and creatures, all having their own reasons for fighting in the war.
