Chapter 1, Part 1: So...What now?
Another peacefull day in Equestria.
Gems in one of the caves were gleaming with calm light. The only noice that could be heard was small stream of water that ran nearby.
Suddenly, white square appeared on the upper part of the cave. Strange shaped figure jumped out of it and landed on it's legs. It had dark jacket, pants, and sunglasses with white hat.
Nick looked around and noticed strange crystal tree "Huh...Looks kinda n-"
He was cut off by his friend who landed on his head. They fell down with loud noices. The one to land on him was Grant. He looked like a cyborg with fur and long monitor that displayed his face. To say it easier, he was a Protogen
His monitor blinked few times and he sat down, holding on his head "Oww...Uh..Nick?" he looked around with confused eyes on his monitor.
Nick groaned "Get the hell off me!" he pushed protogen away and stood up, dusting himself off "Blox dammit!"
Grant put hand behind his head "Whoopsie, hehe..." he made apologetic face and stood up as well.
The last one to appear was Fan. He rolled in air and...Plopped down on the rocky floor. He had black cap, black hoodie with short sleeves and colorful sword on his back.
Fan groaned "Yaaarn...Should have rolled faster" he put blocky arm on his face and stood up.
Grant chuckled "You are not hurt, are you?"
Fan snorted "Of course I'm not!" he then added "I knew I should have just landed in an epic way..."
Nick rolled his eyes "Come on! We have to move it"
Grant tilted his head and his eyes turned into question mark "Uh...What do you mean?" He looked around "Besides, this place looks beautiful, let's stay here for a moment!"
Nick sighed "I just don't get it...Fine!" he leaned on nearby wall.
Fan gasped "Oh wait! I gotta grab my boombox!" he opened panel in front of him.
Nick facepalmed "Blox dammit- FAN WE HAVE A LITERAL WALKING BOOMBOX OVER HERE!" he pointed both of his arms to Grant.
Protogen crossed arms on his chest "That was kinda rude, you know?"
Nick shrugged "Well, you ASKED me to install boombox in your body so-"
Fan closed his panel "Uhm...Nick? How do I leave the game without using 'Leave' button?"
Nick looked at him annoyed "What do you mean?"
Grant opened his panel "Uhm...Nick, you might wanna look at your menu..."
Nick groaned "Tsk! What are you both d-" after he opened his panel, his eyes widened.
Five minutes of a mental breakdown later...
Grant was calming his friend down "Nick, don't go nuts! You will destroy the whole cave!"
Nick looked at Grant with anger "I DONT FUCKING CARE! WE ARE STUCK IN ANOTHER FUCKING UNIVERSE!" he slammed blue crystal with sledgehammer.
Fan was simply sitting nearby "What is the reason in destroying this cave then?"
Nick glared back at him "Oh well, EXCUSE ME FOR ACTING NATURAL!" he threw sledgehammer into the wall and it got stuck in it.
Fan (somehow) snapped with his blocky hand and it dissapeared "You know, I though you were the 'Efficient' type, as you say it" he looked and his friend with blank expression.
Nick exhaled "Right..." he facepalmed "I just had to...You know..." he was heavily breathing.
Grant put his arm on Nick's shoulder "It's ok, we understand" he then looked at Fan "So...Did you find the exit?"
Fan nodded and pointed behind him "Yep, the exit is behind me"
Nick adjusted his sunglasses "What is out here?"
Fan shrugged "Forest, mountains and canyon" he then stood up "Though I think that there is something else...Like town!"
Nick raised his eyebrow "Intuition?"
Fan smiled and nodded "Yep!"
Nick asked "Anything else?"
Fan put arm to his chin "Well, nothing much.." he then gasped "Right, clouds!"
Grant tilted his head "What do you mean?"
Fan explained "I think that I saw some of them moving" he then added "Like, on their own"
Nick shrugged "Doesn't matter. Try to reach that 'Town' . Once you are there, DON'T try to interact with anyoone. Call us and use PT"
Fan saluted "Aye aye boss! I will contact ya when I have info!"
Nick groaned "Tch! Just go already!"
Grant waved to him "Good luck!"
Fan ran through the tunnel and dissapeared, leaving Grant and Nick alone.
Protogen raised his claws and clenched them "..Even our bodies changed!"
Nick snapped out and looked at his...fingers? "Wha..? They got...Detailed?" he inspected his whole body
Protogen looked at his friend "So...What about game of Uno?"
Nick shrugged "Go ahead..."
They didn't seem to care about their changes at all.
Meanwhile...
Fan was sliding down from cave entrance. He was known for his speed, stamina and scouting abilities. Fan also knew a lot of other skills, though he was still a kid inside. When he reached the ground, gem ingraved in sword on his back gleamed. Suddenly, purple sphere appeared around Fan. A lot of items were levitating inside.
He mumbled "Where was it...Man I should sort those things one d- Ah ha!" he pulled out black rod shaped like a star.
Fan also noticed cube shaped item with white outlines on it. He carefully put it closer and closed the sphere. Fan then pierced his chest with rod. It sparked few times. Now Fan had white star on his chest.
He put his arm on the star "Hm...Purity, Mayhem...Ah ha!" he pressed the star and it sparked with rainbow colors.
Six crystal wings and a circle appeared behind Fan's back. He stretched a bit and bent legs.
Fan looked forward and smirked "Ready or not..." he dashed forward, moving on an incredible speed and leaving transparent rainbow trail behind him "HERE I COME!"
Meanwhile...
Rainbow Dash was having nap on random cloud. She decided to rest further from Ponyville this time, because she was having a day off from School of Friendship.
Rainbow exhaled "Ah yes, you deserved this Dash!" she then opened one of her eyes and looked down.
It was an area mostly covered with trees and fields. There was one particular hill, that stood in the middle of the forest. It had grass and some flowers on it, but that was it.
Rainbow Dash yawned "Hm...What should I do next..." she put hooves behind her head "Visit AJ or Pinkie...Fly around..." she sighed "Man, it's so boring...Guess imma just sleep then" she once again looked at hill and raised her eyebrow, noticing something new...
Strange creature was standing on top of the hill and it was looking around. It had strange shapes, colour and...it was wearing clothes? Rainbow Dash rubbed her eyes and looked at it again. She wasn't seeing things, it was actually real!
Rainbow Dash hid inside of the cloud "What in Celestia's name is that?!"
Creature looked towards canyon and...Shrugged? It pressed it's chest and...Summoned rainbow wings!?
Rainbow Dash's jaw was down "Whaaaa?!"
Creature dashed towards canyon through forest on high speed, surprising pegasus.
Rainbow Dash clipped her eyes few times and mumbled "G-guess I found something to do!" she shook her head and flew after the trail that creature was leaving.
Fan jumped into the canyon. He landed quietly and looked around.
Fan put arm to his chin "Hm...Where should I go...Left, or right?" he closed his eyes and stood like that for few seconds "Whelp, guess right is always the 'Right' choise!" he chuckled and ran right way.
Fan passed few giant boulders and continued running non stop. After doing so for 20 minutes, he noticed that canyon was FINALLY ending with high rocky wall.
Fan smirked "And this is just another challenge!" he was able to speed up.
As Fan did so, his wings sparked and cracked a bit. Just before crashing into the wall, he jumped and...Started running up! As he was doing so, his wings were getting damaged even more. They were slowly cracking, losing their colour as cracks proceeded. When Fan successfully exited canyon, his wings sparked and dissapeared.
Robloxian exhaled "Man...That was..." the star rod got extracted from his chest and fell down on his arm "That was AWESOME!" he raised both of his hands to the sky, holding rod in it "I can finally interact with LITERALLY ANYTHING!"
Fan once again summoned sphere and threw rod inside "Alright, now I need to find uh...What was the word..." he put arm on his chin "Ci...Civilisation, right!" he then looked back on his surrounding "Hm...Tempo won't do...I better keep MiH for bad guys..." he then sighed "Whelp, guess I'm just walking" Fan looked forward "I think that town is nearby anyway" he started walking cheerfully and sphere around him dissapeared.
Meanwhile...
Rainbow Dash's jaw was wide open "What the hay?!" She then looked at the direction where he was going "Wait a minute...This is where Ponyville is!"
She dashed towards Ponyville, leaving rainbow trail behind her.
Fan tilted his head "Huh? A rainbow?" he then shrugged "Doesn't matter"
30 minutes of walking later...
Fan jumped on the tree and looked around...Nothing new: forest, birds and clouds were the same.
Robloxian jumped down "Aw man...I thought I was right!" he sat under the tree "Why do I feel so...Was it 'tired'?" he sighed "Well, guess I'm calling others" he raised his hand and panel appeared on it's end.
Meanwhile...
Nick and Grant were playing third game of Uno...Nick had...Huge amount of cards, while Grant had just two.
Protogen looked at his friend and expression on his monitor turned into a teasing one "Well? Go ahead" he was spinning Nick's fedora in his free hand with claws.
Robloxian groaned "Shut up! I'm focusing!" his head was completely bald without the hat.
Nick was sweating...His cards were awful. Besides if he is going to lose this game, he will have to give his sunglasses.
'Dammit Fan...Where are you when I need you?'
Suddenly, grey square appeared near to Nick's head. It had Fan's photo on it. The contact was named 'Kiddo'
Grant's face changed into annoyed one "Aww man! I was so close!"
Nick just rolled his eyes and tapped on the panel "What is it, Fan?"
Fan's face appeared on the screen "I think that I might have messed up just a little. I mean, I CAN feel that town is nearby. I just can't find it!"
Nick shrugged "Then why did you call us? Is there a problem?"
Fan put arm behind his head "Well, yeah, kinda..." he looked around "We can get tired here. And I'm pretty sure that we will start to starve sooner or later"
Suddenly, Grant dashed towards the screen, pushing Nick away "Does it mean I can use my cooking skills?!"
Fan slowly nodded "I think so..Why are you so happy though?"
Grant raised his arms up "Well, because you will finally be able to feel the taste of my cooking!"
Nick groaned and pushed Grant away from the screen "So, that's it?"
Fan shook his head "Well, nope! I wanted to call you guys here, so that we can uh...What was the word.."
Nick raised his eyebrow "You mean set up a camp?"
Fan (Somehow ignoring the fact that his hand is just blocky) snapped with his arm "Bullseye!" he pulled out of the purple sphere a cube "So, are you coming?"
Nick picked up his fedora and wore it "Sure I guess. Can't leave you alone for too long. We don't want you to destroy a city on accident, do we?"
Fan rolled his eyes "Oh please...It happened just two times!"
Panel closed and Nick crossed arms on his chest "Exactly.."
Grant approached his friend "I guess you got lucky" he grinned.
Nick rolled his eyes "Alright alright I get it! I'm bad at Uno!" he looked at protogen wirth annoyed face "Are you satisfied?"
Grant nodded "More than"
Suddenly, white sparks appeared near to one of the cave's walls. They started spinning on incredible speed and were forming a circle.
Grant was looking at it "Uh...Nick?"
Robloxing was watching the sparks "What is it?"
Grant had unsure expression on his monitor "I was willing to ask...So...What now?"
Nick turned his face towards protogen "What do you mean?"
Grant put arm behinf his head "What is going to happen now? How we will live in this...Universe?"
Nick snorted "Oh please, just like back in our world..."
Now sparks were spinning so fast, that they formed a propper circle. Few seconds later, image of the forest could be seen through it.
Nick stepped forward "..by adapting" when he stepped inside of the circle, it started to dissapear.
Grant clipped his eyes few times and gasped "W-wait for me!" he hurried and jumped through the portal before it closed.
Chapter 2, Part 1: Good morning!
Bright Pearl woke up, but didn't open her eyes. She was very tired, and wanted to rest a bit more. Unicorn rolled in her bed and inhaled some air before covering her face with the blanket. Weird, but it smelled like forest. Not like she didn't like it though. Pearl lazily opened her eyes and looked at the blanket she was under. It was supposed to be white...But for some reason it was purple? She slowly turned her head at the pillow. It had the same color...And was WAY softer. Pearl clipped her eyes. She realized that bed was kinda...Oversized for her or any pony.
And then, Bright Pearl memorized everething that happened...
She activated her magic and fastly pulled blankets from her body. Pearl looked around, breathing heavily. She was in some kind of a small hut. Walls were made out of dark brown logs. Room had only one window, which was near to the door. Room itself was...Weird in her oppinion. There was a huge red carpet in the middle of the room, cupboard nearby to the unicorn's bed and a literal fireplace...In wooden house...It also had a chair in front of it. Pearl looked at her hoof. She tried to move it and didn't feel any pain. Seemed like whoever saved her, was experienced in medicine. Suddenly, she saw something going nearby to the window. Pearl put blankets back and pretended to be sleeping.
Something entered the room. Pearl had one of her eyes half opened. It was the creature from before, the one who saved her from timberwolf. It had a worried expression on it's...Whatever it was. Creature also had something in it's...claws?! Pearl stayed silent. Creature slowly approached the bed and quietly put a bowl on the cupboard. Before Pearl got a chance to sniff it, she felt something gently and slowly moving against her mane. She nearly shook out of...pleasure. It felt really good.
Creature sighed and quietly said "I just hope you will be fine..." it put it's claws away.
Pearl did her best to not complain. She then heard quiet steps towards a chair. Unicorn carefully turned her head towards creature. It was sitting in front of the fireplace. Now she noticed that flame in it didn't make any sounds. Not like it did really matter.
Creature seemed to be sad. Bright Pearl felt a bit guilty. After all, whoever it was, they helped her. She quietly sighed and wanted to start talking, when another creature entered the hut. Pearl started to observe again...
Creature raised it's limb and quietly called "Oi G, nothing new?"
'G' turned his head towards the adresser "Nuh uh...She is still unconsious..." he sighed "I think I might have damaged her eardrumms Nick..."
Pearl quickly closed her eye when 'Nick' looked at her "..and since when do you know so much about their anatomy?"
Grant put his claws behind head and chuckled quietly "Well, guess those simulations did their job.."
Nick stretched a bit "Mh...Good" he then crossed arms on his chest "Inform me when s-.." he suddenly stopped talking.
Grant tilted his head "Is something wrong?"
Nick shook his hand "Nah, just wondering how did you manage to identify her gender..."
Now that Pearl thought about it...She DID yell back in the forest, but it wasn't enough to identify her gender, in her oppinion. She started to get some dirty thoughts in her head.
Nick continued "..I mean, not like she doesn't look feminine enough, it's just that it would be kinda awkward if it turns out...You know"
Grant had awkward expression on his face "Yeah..." he then explained "Well...I just guessed by looking at her mane, eyes and, apparently, chin"
Pearl was confused...She could understand mane and eyes detail (which she found kinda cute), but chin? Well, sure stallions and mare do have differences, and chin is sure one of them. But it still feels weird.
'Nick' snorted "Well, can't argue with you. You are the one who knows the most 'bout creatures"
Grant smiled "Guess I do" he then got a netural expression "So, anything new on your side?"
Nick smirked and nodded "Yeah, guess what?" it suddenly raised it's limb up "We have none of those damned limitations! Nothing is getting blocked!"
G seemed confused "Wait, really?" it's tail started to swing side to side and it stood up with a smily expression on it's, as far as Pearl could say, face "Does it mean we can finally let our thought's be real?"
Nick nodded "Not like we couldn't. I mean, our ideas do sound weird, especially after what I did, but still!" it laughed "Oh Blox, I can't wait to start creating!"
Creating? What are they talking about? Pearl was confused and curious at the same. Still, she needed to be cautious.
Nick coughed in his limb "So anyway, seems like Fan finally found something"
G calmed down as well and curiously tilted his head "Hm? And what is it?"
Nick put it's limb towards mouth "Well, a town. And it was full of those" it pointed at Pearl with it's bigger...Finger?
G looked at 'sleeping' unicorn "Hey, that wasn't very polite!"
Nick seemed to roll his eyes (At this point, Pearl figured they were sentient and intellegent) "Whatever. Anyway, they seemed friendly to him. Guess we can simply deliver their friend and ask few questions"
G gasped "FAN thought of them as FRIENDLY?!"
Nick exhaled "Yeah, I was confused as well"
Pearl thought about those characters for a moment...The one called 'G' seemed like the friendliest one. He was very caring towards her, and he seems polite as well. Pearl warmed up towards him. Nick on the other hoof, seemed straightforward, calm and...Rude. Maybe Pearl didn't like him much, but he DID look like a leader. Besides, unicorn didn't even get a chance to know him better. And finally, mysterious 'Fan'...As far as she could tell through their talk, he was a distant one. That's all she knows for now.
"Would be interesting to meet him..."
Both Nick and G turned towards her "Eh?"
She clipped her eyes and didn't move 'OH CELESTIA! Why did I start talking all of the sudden?!'
She heard foot steps behind her "Hey, it's ok! We won't hurt you" it was the voice of G.
She hestitated before turning her head. Creature was standing in 4 meters behind her. It seemed like he was trying not to scare her. His eyes turned into closed ones and G smiled.
Pearl clipped her eyes "Well...Now I feel embarrased" those were the only words she could say.
G shook his head "Don't worry, it's alright. My name is Grant!" he pointed his claw at Nick "And here is my friend, Nick!"
He simply raised his limb "You guys take your time and meet me at the nearby building. I have some questions" he turned around and exited the hut.
Grant exhaled and turned back to her "Sorry, he is trying to settle us here as much as he can" he stood up and looked at her bowl "Anyway, I'm pretty sure you are hungry. You slept entire day and night after we saved you"
Pearl clipped her eyes "I wh-" her belly growled violently. She blushed a little and grabbed it with her hooves.
Grant chuckled "As I thought. You better eat up before soup gets cold" he then opened his eyes "Unless you need my help eating"
Pearl pouted "I'm a grown mare, I can eat myself"
Grant clipped his eyes "Oh, apologies. I mean, it might be pretty hard to eat with your erm...Hooves"
Pearl clipped her eyes "Wait, don't you have magic?"
Grant put claws to his chin "Well, I personally don't. I'm pretty sure Nick doesn't have it as well. Fan though...Well, guess HE does"
Pearl sat and hummed to herself "Hmm...That's pretty in-" belly once again reminded about it's emptiness.
Grant frowned "Well, what are we doing? Come on, eat up. And don't you dare to leave something on that bowl! You need all energy you can get right now!" he sounded strict and...Funny at the same time.
Her horn lit up and she levitated dish towards her "Well, I guess you are right..." she looked at him "Aren't you going to eat as well?"
Grant smiled "Oh, I don't require food to function. But I can still taste and digest it!" he approached the fireplace "If you need anything, just ask or call me!"
She looked at him and levitated spoon to her mouth 'Hm...What did he mean by that? He does not require food to...'Function'? What does it even-' when soup touched her mouth, she stopped thinking. This soup...It was...
Pearl started to absorb it faster. She didn't know if it was due to her hunger or it's ingriedients. The only thing that mattered, was that this soup was the best thing she ever tasted. Not even the dishes coooked by best chefs from all over the Equestria could be rivals to this masterpiece.
Grant chuckled at what he heard "Well, guess those simulators didn't go to waste"
