Ch 1 The Stone FillyView OnlineEnforcing Change Side StoryCh 1 The Stone FillyFlash Sentry It was a nice day. The royal foal would be along any week now. Shining Armor had assigned me to a squadron of soldiers to search the frozen waste for any signs of trouble. Some would say that the job is boring since the snow fields all looked empty, but the truth is there are many things hidden beneath the snow. Because of this you never really know what will happen. When one of guards walked one on the edge of a hill when he steps on a loose stone. As he falls I feel a sudden urge to help someone. This is my special talent. Responding to the urge I shouted that I had him. When he hit the ground he asked if I couldn't reach him in time only for the whole squad to see what I had cought. What I held in my hooves was not some rock. It was a stone filly. Like I said, you never know what you will run into. Taking care to not damage the filly we returned to the Empire. From what our mages could tell she had been turned to stone by some kind of cockatrice variant. Fortunately they were likely to find a way to free her before the next morning. Sunstone Darkness... The earliest thing I remember was darkness. Eventually I started to hear sounds. I did not remember ever hearing sounds before. I liked it. Then the darkness disappeared and was replaced with a bright light. I started to have the ability to move now. I shook the parts sticking out of me a little bit but they were very heavy. I felt something touch me and looked in that direction to see the source of the sound. Spell Breaker As I worked to undo the petcrafication I managed to get it partially removed. When I did this I was able to confirm that she had started to regain consciousness. I called for an aid to assist in calming her and getting the nessissary information on her situation. The attendant arrived just as the filly was fully destoned. She seemed to be quite calm and possibly confused. She had a dark amber coat with a red and orange mane. We tried to get the attention of the filly but she wasn't responding to us. I was starting to get worried. So I decided to poke her. This was successful in getting her attention. The blank expression in her eyes reminded me of a new born. We were going to have to do a lot more tests. After finding that she seems to have lost her memory completely. She was to be taken to an orphanage and she would be assigned a tutor to help reteach her speech and other things. I felt bad for the kid. It was unlikely that she would be adopted any time soon or ever. She was stone for so long that she probably stopped thinking and lose her mind. I had to talk to Sapphire Polish about this. Sunstone The ones around me would give me treats for helping them. Eventually one of them put me on their back and started to take me somewhere. When I saw what I later learned was the night sky I was awed. They took me to what I learned was an orphanage. The one that carried me in spoke with someone else who was inside and they took me to a room with a few beds and set me in one. When they put the covers over me I realized just how tired I was. But something was bothering me. Who am I?
Ch 3 Emerald GardenView OnlineEnforcing Change Side StoryCh 3 Emerald GardenPolished Gem When I was giving lessons to Sunstone I performed a few tests that let me know that she was actually quite intelligent. I would not have been surprised if she had been able to enter the School for Gifted Unicorns. The real issue in trying to teach her is that I had no idea if she was actually learning anything. When she was not being directly attended to tended to wonder off. This seemed to stem from a natural curiosity for everything around her. It almost felt like she had never seen a pony before. Though for some reason they seemed to at least understand glass doors. When I had lunch with my sister Sapphire Polish she asked if she could meet the filly I was watching. I had known that my sister and her husband had been looking to adopt but were being indecisive about it. I decided that there would not be a problem with it. Emerald Garden When the other orphans and I first woke to find Sunstone I one of the beds we were a little surprised. Normally they were brought during the early morning of the day. Naturally we wanted to know what her story was. So some of them tried to wake her up while jumping on her bed. I had told them that it would get them in trouble but they didn't listen. When Sunstone woke up she showed no confusion over where she was. The others were asking her all kinds of questions when she suddenly started to make randomish sounds. For a moment some of us thought that she spoke some other language none of us knew. Then she started to smelling one of the other fillies. It was at this moment we realized that something was wrong with her. It was at this point that the caretakers entered the room. One of the them said that they would watch her and the other would explain her situation to us. We were taken to the open area of the dining room. Like the Empire had been banished to the eather for a thousand years Sunstone as they had begun to call her had been turned to stone. For how long, well they didn't know. The difference between the two situations was the she was still conscious and as a result lost her mind. They would be keeping an eye on us to make sure that we were not picking on her as well. Whenever Miss Polished Gem arrived to work with Sunstone I would stick around to help however needed. Whenever she would wonder off I would make sure she didn't cause any problems. Sapphire Polish When my sister took me to meet the filly Sunstone we found her sleeping next to a green filly. The two of them were just so adorable together. The green filly was named Emerald Garden and would help take care of Sunstone. The two had grown quite close to one another as well according to my sister. I know that Spell Breaker and I had only really spoken about adopting one but we were open to adopting multiple to not separate siblings. They may not have been related but they seemed close enough for me.
Ch 4 AdoptionView OnlineEnforcing Change Side StoryCh 4 AdoptionSpell Breaker When I was told about Emerald Garden I was not against the idea of adopting an additional filly. Between my work dispelling magical effects from members of the guard and Sapphires' maid work in the castle it was not hard to care for both. Polished would also have to commute a much shorter distance for her work with Sunstone. Emerald Garden When I had been told that I had been adopted I was not sure how to react. I had never even been looked at by adults but now I was being adopted. I had thought that I would grow into an adult in this orphanage. But I was not being adopted alone. Sunstone would be my new sister. I didn't have a problem with her but something strange happened with her. When we were in the yard Sunstone went to eat and weed that would have given her a nasty stomach ache. I tried to stop her but before I could she suddenly stopped and completely ignored it. I had my bags packed and was sitting next to her while making sure that she didn't wonder off. Sometimes I really worry about her. I had half a mind to put her on a leash. Wait that's not a bad idea. Eventually our new parents arrived. Our dad Spell Breaker was a crystal unicorn with a topaz coat and lapis mane. As it turns out he was the one who freed her from stone. Though our mom Sapphire Polish was a crystal earth pony like me with a sapphire coat and mane. When they arrived to pick us up I suggested getting a harness for Sunstone. They thought I was joking but fortunately Aunt Polished had agreed with me at least for going out with her. With the crystalling coming we didn't want her to lose her during it. We both got our own rooms though Sunstone would spend quite a bit of time with me in my room. Spell Breaker When the royal foal was finally born. We kept Sunstone on a harness since she had a habit of wondering off. It was at about this time that Sunstone was finally starting to talk. She would soon be able to attend school alongside Emerald Garden. Though there is something about her that has been bothering me. She has not even tried to use her magic. Well I guess that I will have to teach her. Sunstone I eventually started to realize that the sounds that the others who looked like me had meaning. For example I learned that the one that is the same size as my that I follow around is called Emerald Garden. But two of the big ones confused me. Most seemed to call them Sapphire Polish and Spell Breaker but I was supposed to call them mom and dad. Emerald called them that to but seemed to understand so I will ask her when I learned how.
Ch 7 We Get Invaded A LotView OnlineEnforcing Change Side StoryCh 7 We Get Invaded A LotSunstone Okay so it turns out that changelings had replaced the royal family. Why am I not at all surprised by that. I'm glad that everything turned out okay. Still it was kinda hard to believe that Thorax had become the King of the Changelings. I agree with the sceptics in the sense that it will take time to trust them. I trusted Thorax though. We had also been selected to accompany the royal family to some kind of award ceremony in Ponyville. When we were on the train ride there I was fascinated with all the sights. I had seen pictures but that was it. Honestly a warmer climate felt more my speed though I can't say the same for Emerald Garden. She seemed to not enjoy the train ride or heat to much. She put on a brave face but I could see the truth. When we made it to the castle of friendship I felt strange but I had promised to keep an eye on Emerald. Her stomach was not sitting well after the train ride here. Fortunately we heard of an alchemist who lived near by. We planned to get a potion for the return trip. Then the Storm King attacked. When the Storm King attacked the Empire was on high alert until he was assassinated by his second in command. Which is fair enough I guess. Though everything turned out alright in the end. Mist Mane was mentoring Emerald as the new royal gardener. When I learned that this Mist Mane had become the royal gardener I had been livid since Emerald deserved it. When I voiced my displeasure about a random old mare being given the job that should have been reserved for Emerald. The looks I got told me that I was missing context which is starting to become a trend. When they explained the tale of Mist Mane and the other pillars I excepted her as the new royal gardener. Luckily she was not offended and decided to take on Emerald as an apprentice. She even offered to help teach me magic. I could perform basic levitating but that was pretty much it. I didn't even have my cutie mark. It didn't bother me at first but now it was starting to get to me. I had gotten looks of pity. To be honest I wasn't sure what I wanted to do with my life. Those cutie marks were looking more appealing by the day.
Ch 8 The CrusadersView OnlineEnforcing Change Side StoryCh 8 The CrusadersEmerald Garden Unlike the first time I had a potion so that I didn't get train sick. We were not sure why Sunstone hadn't gotten her cutie mark. Mist Mane had heard about a group known as the cutie mark crusaders from the royal family. I tried to cheer her up but she just looked out the window and ignored me. I was starting to get worried for her. Hopefully this trip at least cheers her up. Sunstone Despite the trip to Ponyville to meet these so called experts known as the cutie mark crusaders I just couldn't. The train ride over I just looked out the window. Sure I loved my family and my life but it felt like something was missing. Was it something wrong with me? Emerald kept trying to cheer me up but I couldn't. As the train came to a halt. We were supposed to meet them at the platform. Looking around I saw three fillies l, one of each tribe. They seemed to notice us. I continued to look around for these so called experts when the three fillies who were only a little younger than me approached. I confirmed to them that I was Sunstone they introduced themselves as the cutie mark crusaders. I was skeptical and asked how they could be experts on personal crisis. They invited us to their club house. I signed knowing that I wouldn't be able to get them to stop without humoring them. When we made our way thru Ponyville many ponies greeted and thanked the crusaders for their help. This made made me a more confident in their ability to help. When we made it to their clubhouse I started to explain my issue. It wasn't to worried about the cutie mark itself but rather that I felt like something was missing. Like a part of me was missing. I explained how I was found and the missing memories of my past. I also told them about my struggles with magic too. They started to consider what to do when they suddenly seemed to remember a potion that may help. With some help from the local alchemist who helped us before. Eventually the potion was made but when I drank it nothing happened. According to the alchemist this means that the memories themselves were not there. Sweetie Bell suggested that make our way to the library to see what we find. We looked for anything that could be a clue. I tried to use my magic to lift a book but it fell out of the air. I sighed and said that I was going to go for a walk. I had two reasons for it. To blow off steam and second was to investigate the strange feeling I got both this time and last time I was here. I seemed to somehow know my way through the halls of the castle. I entered a room filled with machinery and a mirror. When I saw the mirror the strange feeling felt overwhelming. With a thought I walked into the mirror. Emerald Garden When Sunstone left I knew that I couldn't leave her alone. Not only was she in a bad mood but she had been acting strange ever since we entered the castle. As I followed her I noticed that she was in some kind of trance. When she entered a room with a lot of machinery. When she started to walk into the mirror I run to follow her but slipped and hit some podium before I followed her through the mirror. Nightlight After Emerald Garden made her way through the mirror the her crash into the podium caused the journal ended up falling off.
Ch 9 The Other WorldView OnlineEnforcing Change Side StoryCh 9 The Other WorldEmerald Garden When I was shot out the other end of the mirror I crashed into someone. As I apologized I noticed that my fore legs looked strange. I creature that I crashed into looked at me and questioned if I was Emerald. It was at this point that I realized that the creature I crashed into was Sunstone. Her colors had changed. She started to panic. I suggested that we return through the portal, but when we tried to we found that it no longer worked. To prevent Sunstone from having a panic I suggested looking for help. Sunstone This world was strange and freaked me out. Not because of some underlying sense of weirdness but rather the lack of it. Unlike my sister Emerald I seemed to realize that our new forms were bipedal. We entered the building that was in front of us and started to look around. It seemed that we were in some kind of school but it seemed that classes had only just gotten out. Since the front door was still open that meant that at least one person was still here. When looking around the school we heard a few familiar voices. Following the voices we found three creatures who had a clear resemblance to the cutie mark crusaders. Though I knew that they were not. Emerald Garden quickly walked up to them and asked how they followed us. This of course this only caused them confusion. When they saw me they asked what happened to me, having confused me with someone called Sunset Shimmer. I apparently resembled a younger version of her. There names were the same as the crusaders. We explained that we went through a portal only for it to close behind us. Fortunately they seemed to know about the portal and said that they could help us get in touch with an expert tomorrow as they would be busy today. We were wondering where we could stay the night when Scootaloo said we could join them for their sleepover at her house. Sunset Shimmer While the girls and I were helping Rarity with her new line I felt a strange feeling. I ignored it since it disappeared as quickly as it appeared. I didn't want to interrupt Rarity when she was in the zone so I didn't say anything. Sunstone I was worried that Scootaloo's family would be upset about the unexpected guest but they were actually pretty relaxed about it. Her aunts looked like they were about to ask questions but stopped when the crusaders whispered something into their ears. It seemed that more knew about the portal on this side than our own.
Ch 10 Sunset ShimmerView OnlineEnforcing Change Side StoryCh 10 Sunset ShimmerSunstone To prevent a commotion Sweetie Bell suggested that I wear a hoodie. I didn't have a problem with it. Unfortunately the potion for train sickness wore off. When we arrived at the school the crusaders decided that the best course of action was to go to the principal and vice principal. But the names of the principal and vice principal were Celestia and Luna. Emerald reacted how one would expect but how the crusaders reacted to her reaction told me that they didn't know about the Celestia and Luna from our world. I asked about the ages of their Celestia and Luna but they were much younger than ours. Even if these are parallel worlds the ages don't seem to match up at all. When we made it to the school the crusaders were guiding us to the offices when looking around I noticed the counterpart of Flash Sentry. Emerald noticed to and when she mentioned it Sweetie Bell said that he used to date Sunset Shimmer. Though we were looking for the principal and vice principal it appears that vice principal Luna found us first. Apparently students are not allowed to keep their hoods up at school. Apple Bloom quickly explained the situation and vice principal Luna seemed to sigh in aspersion. She asked us to stay in the office and she would pass on the message to Sunset Shimmer. The crusaders went on ahead to their classes. Sunset Shimmer This morning Applejack, Rarity, and Rainbow Dashs' sisters left them text messages saying that I would likely be needed. Since it was the last week of school there was not really anything I needed to do for school. When we arrived at the school we were a bit late but as we entered vice principal Luna stopped us and asked me to follow her. She led me to Celestia's office as she explained the situation. But when I entered the face I saw shocked me. Sunstone She seemed shocked by my appearance and asked if I was the her of this world. Was she from Equestria? I explained pretty much my entire life story as well as how my colors changed when I passed through the mirror. She said that she could contact Princess Twilight from here with a journal. After writing a message for the princess all we could do was wait.
Ch 12 Home?View OnlineEnforcing Change Side StoryCh 12 Home?Sunstone Nightlight who I learned was the father of Princess Twilight explained that he had originally been unaware of either my fate or even existence. Partially in order to satisfy his own curiosity he decided to use the Midnight Sparkle incident to check. I had no idea what he meant by the Midnight Sparkle incident but his point still stood. Princess Twilight asked him why he said nothing about me. Nightlight explained that he knew of the trials Sunset Shimmer would have to face. Since I was never present during any of his visions I was an unnecessary variable. So he chose to keep me out of the equation for a while. He commented that it had not been the first time he had done things like this in the past before. This whole situation was giving me a head ache. Nightlight recommended at least inviting my human parents for a visit before I decided anything. My human parents were supposed to arrive home this evening. The plan is for me and Emerald to stay at Sunset Shimmers' home for the night before bringing them over to the Crystal Empire the next day. Sunset Shimmers' friends insisted on asking me all kinds of questions about my life in the Crystal Empire. Sci-Twi as they called her looked extra happy to learn the story about how Cadance and Shining Armor save the Empire from Sombra. Eventually we heard my human parents arrive. Sunset Shimmers' friends said their goodbyes as Sunset went to greet her parents. As Emerald and I sat on the couch I saw that Emerald was as worried as I was. As Sunset walked them in they stopped for a moment. They suddenly ran up and hugged me. I felt strange. Eventually they noticed Emerald and asked what happened to me. I looked at both Sunset and Emerald before taking a deep breath before telling them to sit down. I told them about how I ended up in the Crystal Empire and my life there. I also explained Nightlights' idea for them to visit the Crystal Empire tomorrow for the day. For now though Emerald and I stayed for dinner discussing verious things about our worlds and lives. I talked about my friends, school life, and family. They seemed a little unsure about the tales involving what would have seemed to them as mythic heroes facing great evils. Though they chose to remain quiet about it.
Ch 14 DecisionsView OnlineEnforcing Change Side StoryCh 14 DecisionsSunstone Emerald was working on the garden with Most Mane and I had alone time to think. So there I was in the park sitting on a bench. As I sighed Nightlight was suddenly sitting next to me. After I greeted him he chuckled and said that most didn't like it when he did that. I would have probably agreed with him but right now I had to much on my mind to care. Nightlight asked me about what was wrong and I told him that I was not sure if I would continue living here in Equestria or return to the human world. He looked out in front for a moment and asked what I wanted to do. I was not entirely sure myself. I wanted to continue living in Equestria but if I belonged to the human world shouldn't I return. Since I didn't have any memories of my past life I didn't know what to do. I asked him what he thought I should do. He said that he had no idea what I should do but he would prefer that I remained in Equestria. I asked if he had any compelling arguments for it. His first argument was that Sunset Shimmer had chosen to live out her life in the human world. This meant a few things. For one I didn't exist legally in the human world. Second I would have to redo a large portion of my education. In addition many who she has helped are helping keep her secret so that she and the Rainbooms could live normal lives. My presence would make that more difficult. His second argument was that I had already made a life for myself in this world. His third argument was that chances were that Sunset and the Rainbooms would have to move to Equestria permanently. If it came to that than I would have to as well. More so since my presence would increase the chance of that. Well at least he was honest. Still I wondered why I could suddenly cast magic so easily. He said that we all have things that held us back even him. After saying that he started to walk away before coming back and asking me to not tell anyone that I had this conversation with him.
Ch 2 SunstoneView OnlineEnforcing Change Side StoryCh 2 SunstonePolished Gem The night before I received a message informing me about a filly who I was going to work with. She had apparently been turned to stone by some kind of cockatris a long time ago. This was definitely above my pay grade. They had decided to call her Sunstone. She was a none crystal unicorn and roughly twelve to fourteen years old. There is a lot of stuff I would have to do for her. It was a good morning but I knew that it would not stay that way. As I walked into the orphanage I noticed that the children were laughing at the new filly's odd behavior. It did not seem to be mean spirited at least. One of the caretakers had apparently explained to them her situation and what they seemed to think was funny was how she was eating. She had completely ignored the eating utensils and had burned her mouth with the hot foods. When I saw this I grabbed a glass of juice and helped her with it. It looked like she was quickly regained her motor functions since last night. This was apparent from her now being able to walk around when last night she couldn't even crawl. Purhaps this job will be easier than I expected. Sunstone I saw darkness again. I continued to see darkness until I heard more sounds. The light returned and I was surrounded by others like the ones from before. They were smaller and seemed to want my attention. I stood up and looked at that them. I tried making sound of my own but they reacted in a strange way. I wonder what is wrong. I realized that one of them smelled really nice so I got closer and started to sniff them. Then two big ones appeared and started to make noise. One of them came to me and had me stay still while the other small ones went with the other. When the others left the remaining big one started to comb my hair while making sound. They were warm and friendly. Eventually they took me to where the other small ones were. I was placed in front of something warm that smelled good. When I realized that I was supposed to eat it I was even happier. Then I realized that it was hot. Way to hot for me. I was not sure what to do when all of the sudden a big one helped me drink something. She seemed nice. Spell Breaker My wife Sapphire Polish and I had been trying to have trouble with having a child. We had been considering adoption but were having trouble figuring out who to adopt. It really is hard to choose. We wanted to pick a child who was unlikely to be adopted on their own. In the past Sunstone would have been a prime example of this. But these days Equestria and the Crystal Empire are closer than ever. We would not be surprised if she was moved to an orphanage in Equestria. But at the same time this may not happen for the exact same reason..
Ch 5 First Day of SchoolView OnlineEnforcing Change Side StoryCh 5 First Day of SchoolEmerald Garden When if was finally time to go to school with Sunstone. I couldn't wait to show her the ropes at school. It could be confusing to just suddenly start at a school, especially when she will stand out so much. When we were getting ready in the morning mom said that she would walk us to school today while on the way to her work. When we made it to school we said our goodbyes and we made our ways to the school house. I saw a group of fillies ahead of us laughing. The one that appeared to be the ring leader walked towards us. This looked like trouble. The filly introduced herself as Diamond Cut the daughter of a pair of nobles. She if our mom was a servant of our parents. Given her tone of voice it was obvious that she knew that our mom was a maid. Before I could respond Sunstone confirmed and asked if her own parents had their servants care for her in their place. It seemed that she had hit the nail on the head. Sunstone smiled and asked me if we should continue on our way. While I was not sure how I would have, I was disappointed that I hadn't done anything to impress Sunstone. When classes started our teacher asked a question to the class. The only one who could apparently answer the question. I was worried that she would embarrass herself but apparently she figured out the answer. In fact as a part of her answer she had used information that hadn't even been taught yet. This was even more shocking to me since I knew that she had been stone for so long. This information was supposed to be a recent discovery. No I'm just overthinking it. Sunstone was apparently quite talented in academics. At least more talented than me. As a result she became quite popular. I guess that means she doesn't really need my help with school situations. On our way back home Sunstone was telling mom all about what happened at school that day. I knew that I should have been happier for her but still. When we got home we finished our homework quickly thanks to Sunstone. After that dad helped Sunstone practice with her magic in the yard. While they were in the yard I was having a light snack in the kitchen. While I was eating my snack mom sat next to me. She asked me if something was wrong. I sighed and said that I had planned to impress Sunstone but since she had repeatedly outshined me the whole day. She could handle difficult social situations with ease, she was skilled in academics, and she was popular. Mom smiled and chuckled softly confusing me. She then said that I didn't need to do anything to impress Sunstone. She reminded me about how even before we were brought home Sunstone would follow me around and I would help take care of her. Mom said that Sunstone had always had a high opinion of me and I had no reason to prove myself to her. This made me smile. Mom was right in the end Sunstone and I were sisters and we would always look out for each other.
Ch 6 The Castle PartyView OnlineEnforcing Change Side StoryCh 6 The Castle PartySapphire Polish A few days ago a changeling sighting caused a scary throughout the Empire. Fortunately with help from the brave and glorious Spike the situation was resolved. Now the Empire was giving refuge to a friendly changeling known as Thorax. He was free to explore the castle grounds within reason. Emerald and Sunstone were invited to the party in the castle garden. Maybe he will stop by. Sunstone The party in the garden was nice but personally I was more interested in the castle itself. The thought of being this close to a real castle was overwhelming. Emerald was more interested in the garden itself though. I wouldn't have been surprised at all if her cutie mark involved plants. Then I saw it through a window. The changeling was walking through the hallway. They probably won't mind if I sneak away into the castle from the party to check him out. I made my way into the castle in the direction I saw the changeling go. I managed to easily sneak by most of the guards but I ended up getting caught by a none crytal pegasus. I was worried that he would suddenly start to lecture me but instead he commented that I was one of Spell Breaker's fillies. Well my dad does work with the guard so I guess it makes sense that he would know that kind of information. Regaining my composure I asked if it was possible for me to meet the changeling. I was pleasantly surprised when he agreed saying that there was no problem and that if I wanted he could introduce me to the royal couple. I was taken aback by this. I mean really what if I was a changeling in disguise who wanted to replace the royal couple? Then again I'm sure that they know what their doing. Emerald Garden I was not really interested in the party itself but I couldn't even focus on it with the state of the castle gardens. Sure, I know that there is no royal gardener at the moment but that is no excuse for all the amateur mistakes in the garden. As I corrected some of the amateur mistakes I heard a commotion from the party. When I looked over at them I noticed that they were all focused on me. I was confused until I heard some pony say cutie mark. I looked to my flank and saw a cutie mark. As I began to cheer I told Sunstone to come over and celebrate with me. It was at this moment that everyone realized that Sunstone was missing. She hasn't done that in a while, we may need to start using the harness again. Sunstone When I returned from hanging out with Thorax who was actually pretty cool. I mean he is a dork but the charming kind. I also learned that Flash was the one who found me. When I made my way back to the party I found it in a state of panic. Turns out I was missed. Eventually I got they to calm down and they explained how they noticed I was missing. Then I made a mistake. I asked what the big deal was with cutie marks.
Ch 11 ReturnView OnlineEnforcing Change Side StoryCh 11 ReturnSunstone We got our reply far quicker than expected. Apparently the princess received a message about something happening to the portal. The journal on her end had been knocked off and once it was returned we could have returned shortly after arriving. Though she recommended Sunset Shimmer come along. Sunset questioned why she would need to come along when a voice came from the journal saying that it was their request. This caused her to scream and nearly fall over. The journal opened to a page with only a drawing of a unicorn. The picture started to move and introduced itself as Nightlight. The name seemed to scare Sunset Shimmer a little. When Sunset asked how he was doing that he said it was a spell called haycarts method. Before we could ask anymore he disappeared from the page. When we made our way to the statue I asked why Sunset was afraid of this Nightlight pony. Sunset explained that when she still lived in Equestria Celestia would tell her to stay away from Nightlight. Apparently he was a danger to those around him. Before we left for the statue Sunset gave the journal to one of her friends. Once we reached the base of the statue Sunset explained that we should go through slowly so we didn't get shot out the other end. Once I was on the other side I noticed that my colors were still different. Looking to the mirror I noticed that I looked like a younger Sunset Shimmer. I also had a cutie mark that was a mirrored version of hers. At the door to the room stood Spike the brave and glorious. He asked us to follow him. He led us to a sitting room with a table surrounded by cushions. Sitting at the table were mom, dad, Princess Twilight, that Nightlight, Starlight Glimmer, and a mare I did not know. When mom and dad saw us they ran up to hug us. When I asked how they recognized me Nightlight said that he explained what happened to me to them. Wait how did he know what happened to me but not me. Well there's no time like the present. Nightlight took a deep breath and explained that I was the Sunset Shimmer from the human world pointing out my mirrored cutie mark as evidence of this. This was apparently a clear indicator of this. But this made no sense. If that was true then how did I end up in the frozen waste.
Ch 13 Crystal EmpireView OnlineEnforcing Change Side StoryCh 13 Crystal EmpireSunstone When we entered through the portal to Equestria Sunset stayed behind. While her parents adjusted to having four legs Nightlight informed us that rather than using a train we would make use of a relic he created. When we were teleported to the Empire Sunset's parents commented that based on my description of the Empire they had expected it to be colder. This caused me to chuckle and say that most do. I then reminded them of the Crystal Heart and how it protects the Empire from threats. Nightlight brought us a short distance from the house so we had to walk over. While walking we saw a few of the fillies from school who invited us to play with them. I said that we were busy and that we could play later. But before we continued one of them walked up with a homework assignment asking if I could help her out with one of the problems real quick. Sunset's parents looked at it and managed to hide their confusion and I told her that she forgot to carry a four. When we reached home we noticed that Must Mane was in the living room. She had decided to stop by since I had missed a magic lesson which was very unlike me. When she arrived mom and dad explained the situation to her. Though before she left she asked if I wanted to try using levitation on a relatively heavy object. I nodded in agreement and Mist Mane brought out a weight. I tried to levitate it and to my surprise it worked. Mist Mane congratulated my and left. I had never been able to lift something that heavy with such ease before. As mom and dad finished dinner then spoke with Sunset's parents about all kinds of things. That night I heard the adults talking about my life going forward. Whether or not I will remain in Equestria or return to the human world. Will I have to be sent away?
Ch 15 HomeView OnlineEnforcing Change Side StoryCh 15 HomeSunstone When I arrived home I listened in before heading inside. Mom and dad were still discussing what to do with Sunset's parents. Since they were not expecting me to be home so early I would be able to walk in on them. They were all surprised by my sudden entrance. I took a deep breath and said that I wanted to talk to them. They tried and failed to hide what they were talking about and wanted to give my own two bits. All four of them looked down cast and apologized for not including me from the beginning. When they all looked at me to hear what I had to say I took a breath and began. I wanted to continue living in Equestria. I had a home and life here and I wanted to keep it. I mentioned that we could still keep in touch with something similar to what Sunset Shimmer had to communicate with Princess Twilight. With a plan of action decided we met with the Princess and ask her about the journal. She muttered something to herself and said that her dad Nightlight had given her a pair of similar items in case I chose this. We were given a pair of tablets that acted like a pair of smart phones that could both text and call. Sunset Shimmer Given what happened I was happy to see both versions of my parents Sunstone and her family in the crowd. I was glad that they could all be here for me even if Twilight couldn't be here. Sunstone Sometime had passed since I chose to stay in Equestria and I was having my favorite meal with my family. I was happy with my life and while I was not getting into the School for Gifted Unicorns I was becoming a skilled wizard.
