Clash of the Beauties

The following morning arrived. Rarity woke up from her slumber by the sunlight coming from her window. She recalled everything that happened yesterday. After all that love making they did for almost the entire afternoon and fell sound asleep, they woke up an hour before midnight, ate leftovers from dinner, took a shower and went back to sleep.

The fashionista realizes her lover wasn’t here as she got out of bed, lucky she remembers to put on clothes before going to sleep and how awkward it would be if she was caught naked with Ardee since today is the day her parents come home. Her stomach began growling as she went downstairs and to her surprise her parents were already here, at the table with Sweetie Belle.

“Father, mother, I never thought both of you would be here so soon.” Rarity said until she notices the food being served. “Why are we having soup for breakfast?”

“Breakfast? We’re about to have lunch.” Sweetie Belle pointed at the clock which is almost noon. “Since you and Ardee yesterday were doing…How should I say it…this and that which I found from one of our maids that you two had an argument, if I’m correct? So I decided to turn your alarm clock off for you to get more rest.”

“Goodness gracious thanks for the concern Sweetie Belle but where is Ardee?!”

“He left early while it was still dark and you were still asleep.” Rarity was just about to leave the room to get changed and go after her boyfriend only to be stopped by her sister. “He told me to tell you not to worry about him so much.”

“But-”

“Rarity,” Hondo Flanks, getting his daughter’s attention. “What happened when Sweetie Belle said you had an argument with Ardee?”

“I’m so sorry father but this is between me and Ardee and I don’t want all of you getting involved and also apologize if I made you all worry.”

“If there’s anything that you need help with you can always let us know. Now come and have lunch with us.” Cookie Crumbles said and also noticed the lunch that was prepared by her youngest daughter. “I’m surprised that Sweetie Belle made lunch and it's not even burnt.”

“Well you should be thanking Ardee for giving cooking lessons and patiently taught me to do house chores properly. Now I’m a little bit more responsible so that I avoid making a mess.”

The family then realized and forgot something important after looking at each other that they should have done before Ardee left.

“He needs to be compensated.” They all agreed.

Rarity was still worried when her lover said he needs some distance from her to clear his mind of what happened but she trusts him that he’ll be okay. She didn’t know how he vents all his stress out. Right now he asked a favor from Sky Blaze to teleport him to deserted place which he can use his ice magic as much as he want to vent out stress and pays him in return for his services and even doubles it that whatever Sky sees upon returning for him stays there no matter what.

There is also one day Ardee decides to vent his anger out somewhere which isn’t here on Earth. Even though it's risky, he will do whatever it takes to clear his mind and go through the portal at the statue at Canterlot High to pay Princess Twilight a visit.

On the other hand Rarity waited patiently for a message or even a call from her beloved but still nothing. She couldn’t wait any longer and decides to call him at least to hear his voice is more than enough for now.

“Please pick up, please pick up.” Rarity thought while waiting for someone to pick up on the other line and it didn’t take long…

“Hello.” She was relieved to hear Ardee’s voice but she had no idea what to say and worried since he specifically said don’t bother him for the meantime. She was waiting to be yelled at, scolded but it was the opposite. “Rarity, are you there? Are you okay?”

“I’m so sorry that I called.” She replied while crying. “I just want to make sure you’re okay because whenever I called you weren’t there or didn’t even bother answering my calls or messages.”

“I understand how you felt. Like I said I don’t want you getting involved when venting my stress out. No more crying, okay?”

“Yes.”

“I’m going to meet up with Fleur tonight at the club and tell not to bother us anymore.”

“But-”

“I’ll be fine, Rarity, don't worry. I will settle things with her.”

Evening at the club….

“I know she’ll be hurt but she has to accept the fact while it's still early.”

Ardee patiently waited at the second floor by the outer balconies of the night club. Nervous of what will happen next but he has no other choice and looks up at the sky, only a few stars can be seen but while browsing through his phone that it will rain this evening.

Back at the entrance a taxi stopped in front of the club with two of its passengers getting out which were Fleur and Saber.

“Calm down Fleur, remember that we shouldn’t be here this long for you to know what might happen on the way home.” Saber said after paying the taxi driver.

“You worry too much.” Fleur replies then looks up to see her one and only at the balcony. “Saber there he is, it seems that he hasn’t noticed us.”

“Well whatever that he needs to discuss with you better not be a waste of time.”

“I don’t care as long as I get to see him.”

Fleur grabbed Saber and dragged him into the club. They quickly went to the second floor and before going to the balcony, Fleur took off her trench coat as she wore a pink sleeveless dress and handed the coat to her companion.

“Ardee!” Fleur called out, getting his attention as she approached him and clinged to his arm. “You picked just the right spot because it's very crowded and noisy there. Too bad we won’t be able to see the stars for long. Saber said it’s going to rain soon. Back to the topic that you wanted to talk to me about something.”

“Yes and I want to get this done and over with.” Ardee replies as he gently frees his arm from his admirer’s grasp. “The fact that you expect me to reciprocate your feelings will not happen.”

“Oh……..I mean if you aren’t ready yet I don’t mind waiting-”

“Not that. It means for you to please stop bothering me and Rarity and leave us be…Leave me be!”

Ardee made it very clear but Fleur never responded. Though he can see it in the woman's eyes that she’s heartbroken and is about to cry.

“I know you will hate me for this. But I hope you can understand while it's still early that there are other men out there besides me that you can go after. You just need to be patient until the right one comes to you or you find the right one. I just don’t want you falling for me to turn into an obsession. If only polygamy isn’t prohibited then I can accept your feelings but the law is the law.”

Fleur didn’t say anything after and tried to hold her tears in but couldn’t while looking away. Ardee offered his handkerchief but Fleur pushed his hand away and went back inside the club followed by Saber.

“I hope I did the right thing.” Ardee thought as he headed inside after hearing thunder clouds rumbling above.

The problem has been dealt with even though it was a hard one for him to make. His job here is done as he is about to exit the club just to see Fleur’s companion by the bar counter but she’s not around. This isn’t his problem anymore but as he reaches the exit he sees Fleur outside by herself pulling out her umbrella..

“If you’re going home at least let Saber accompany you or I'll drop you off.”

“I…” Fleur, still looking away, tries to compose what to say. “I am terribly sorry for causing all this trouble.”

“Don't worry I'm not made. Do you still need a ride home?”

“Thanks but no thanks, I just need to be alone but I told Saber already. Goodnight Ardee.”

Fleur immediately walks away after rejecting Ardee’s offer of a ride home. Ardee, though even after she refuses, still wants to make sure she gets home safely and decides to follow her in an SUV ride without her noticing. He was about to get on his ride but in the distance he sees two men pass Fleur and then decides to follow her, he didn’t like where this was going.

“I’m sorry father but I’m not in the mood right now. We’ll talk once I get home.”

Fleur put away her phone and continued walking. With rain continuing to pour down and while distracted in her thoughts she couldn't hear the footsteps behind that she was being followed.

“Hey miss where are you going?!”

Fleur looked back and saw two men following her as she quickened her pace. Not so far Ardee after he activated his ice magic is catching up as he uses the top of the buildings as a shortcut to get a bird's eye view.

He thought and couldn’t believe this was happening in real life like in that movie he watched but after jumping to the next building he slipped upon landing. He quickly got up but he had lost them. “That’s also the reason why be careful when running in the dark while it's raining, because the ground is slippery and you can’t see where you’re going.”

Ardee hears Fleur’s screaming which is not far from his position and follows the sound. He found the location and of course it's in an alleyway and he sees Fleur and the two men had backup with them and now she’s being ganged up by four after her trench coat was ripped off her and her umbrella and bag thrown aside. Ardee quickly acts after seeing one of the thugs pulling out a knife and Ardee uses his powers.

“NO PLEASE LET ME GO!”

Fleur's life was in peril for was this the punishment she deserves after causing so much trouble with Ardee and Rarity. In fear she tries to resist and just then her captors were pulled away from her somehow. She looked to see they were being pulled away using some sort of chains by someone that was on top of a street lamp. How she’s relieved a person came to her rescue but couldn't believe what she was seeing as her savior, the entire body is crystal which could be one of those things involving magic at Canterlot High while it’s busy with the thugs . Fleur was lucky that her phone was still working and waterproof upon getting to her bag. She doesn’t know if she needs to dial 911 or Saber, that is when she saw the man that had the knife earlier rushed right at her. She panicked but it was soon over as the stranger charged right towards the man not only staggering him but was now down for the count after hitting a bunch of garbage cans and straight at the wall.

The thing got up to its feet and Fleur is still not sure if he or it is friendly or not. After observing it more as it picks up and hands back her umbrella she realizes after she takes her umbrella and touches its hand that it's cold and that its entire body isn’t crystal but ice. Fleur heard and saw a police officer arrive because someone may have witnessed what’s going on. She turned away for a moment and was about to thank her rescuer but it left already as she looked up that it fled to the top of the building.

Back at the rooftop nearby there Ardee was hidden and took a quick peep. Fleur is safe now that the police are here, his job was done as made his way back to his ride and head home.
