In fact the slums is so awake, its as if its daytime. As the worst of the worst of Canterlot appears at night. Many bars that are empty during the day, fill up with all types of evil at night. From assassins to fixers. The slums turn into the hotspot for all things crime. But not the 'I am pickpocketing' kind of crime. But rather 'I take a job and do it tomorrow' kind of crime. Most criminals are very much sophisticated. Even the mass murders are not willing to cross certain lines. One of such line is to abuse a child or harm them under any kind of circumstance. As they became who they are thanks to assholes like that. And sadly for a small purple filly, that is what happened. Those assholes crushed her dreams, now she has to permanently pay the price for their actions. Meet Twilight, the young purple filly. She just recently managed to escape the grasp of her abusers. She is young, poor and hungry. However right now she is not just sitting inside a bar, filled with the worst of the worst. However she isn't there to merely beg, no today she is there to learn how to do the act. What act you might ask, well... "No! I cannot let a small filly such as yourself take this job." Rouge Pearl shouted worried. "But she won't leave, no matter what I do." Rouge's personal bouncer said with his hooves in the air. "Child please leave. You do not want to take such a task on." Rouge tried to reason. However a cold voice, with eyes as dead as a fish spoke up, "I will not leave until you have given me a chance." said the emotionless Twilight. Rouge's bouncer looked at Twilight, "But why turn to killing? Isn't there much better ways for a child such as yourself to earn money? Like joining Celestia's school for gifted unicorns?" he asked. Twilight face then turn grim at the mention, "Those fuckers that made me as I am now, work for that fucking school. I will not go there. Not anymore." Twilight said, her rage was mostly internal, as her inability to show emotion showed itself. Instead it sounded like a creepy child with an odd fascination with murder. Rouge flinched at Twilight's swearing, "For future reference, what did those 'Fuckers' do exactly?" she asked. "Abuse. Crushed my dreams. Pain. Torture... Do I need to go on?" Twilight offered. Rouge blinked in shocked at the mention, "When did those fuckers start abusing you?" she said, now much more willing to swear. "Age of three." Twilight said. She could gasps all around the bar at the fact. "My god. So you wish to pick up the skill, to kill others, right?" Rouge asked. "Correct. So will you give me chance or not?" Twilight asked. Rouge sighed, she scratched the back of her head. "Fine. Listen up, this hit job requires that you use this crossbow. Here let me show you how to clean it, dismantle it and reassemble it. And shoot and hit with it." she said as she showed Twilight the ropes. However Twilight dismantled and reassembled the crossbow without using any guides. Almost as if she was a born to use it. She then proceeded to clean it, to perfection. And shoot one bolt and instantly hit in the rose, and proceeded to continue hitting more bolts in the center of the target dummy, all in the head too. "Am I ready now?" Twilight asked, her emotionless voice showing no affection, or interest. Rouge slightly blinked at the result before giving Twilight a small smile, "Yes. Let me talk you through the plan." she said smiling. Twilight merely nodded as she focused all her attention on Rouge. "You will carry the disassembled crossbow in this suitcase, you then go to the building opposite to your target. Go on the roof, make sure nopony saw you. Then reassemble the crossbow on the spot, then search for your target. When you see him, and you think you can shoot him and kill him. Do so without hesitation. After that, use your horn to make a picture of the now dead target. Then disassemble your crossbow back into the suitcase. And leave the scene without attracting any attention. Is this understood?" Rouge explained. Twilight nodded, "Who is the target?" she asked. "Elena Swartz." Rouge said as she placed a picture of her in front of Twilight, "She is being targeted for abusing one of my clients after she also abducted her. We recovered my client later on, she was in poor shape but alive. However Elena will not stay alive. Kill her and return." she explained. "Understood. She will be killed by twilight." Twilight said as she gives her signature statement. Rouge smiled at the signature, "So Twilight when will you start?" she asked curious. "Immediately." Twilight said as she grabs the suitcase and leaves the bar. "Rouge are sure about that? Once she does the job, there is no going back." The bartender asked. "Sadly yes. I doubt she will leave if I asked her to. Besides controlled evil is better than the opposite side of the spectrum." Rouge said saddened. "I suppose you have a point. Still she seemed like such a cute kid. Its such a shame." The bartender admitted. "That it is. And Saki Pearl? What is her background?" Rouge asked her daughter. "It is quite interesting..." Saki said. Meanwhile back with Twilight, she was nearing the site of her hitman job. As she calmly looked left and right. She saw the perfect building to take her shot from. She then used the fire staircase to climb to the top of the building. And before she began, she looked around. To check if she was spotted so far and to investigate security. 'Hm. Nobody spotted me. I see a sniper parallel to the target building. I sense no hostiles near mine. I have a clear sight. I see some patrolling guards. Nothing special. Yes, this is perfect.' Twilight though as she grabbed the suitcase and assembled her crossbow. The crossbow, which was appropriately named "Hitman's sniper" was a lightweight bow, with some rather top heavy bolts. A string made of the strongest material possible, while the wood was made with apple tree wood. A durable and light alternative to iron wood. But at the cost of some flexibility. Due to this, it was easily broken and burnable. Perfect for destroying evidence. Twilight then looked through the scope of the crossbow and quickly found her target. She then waited for the perfect moment to take her shot. She watched the target converse with other nobles. Among the nobles actually stood another interesting character. Princess Celestia was active at this party. Luckily she was far too focused on the party to stay alert. It was then, that the perfect action presented itself. The target decided to cool down in her personal garden. Inside said garden was no other guests or guards. And it was also clear that nopony else was allowed in there. Perfect, she is alone and was laying down near the tree. Twilight then focused through the scope, she took a deep breath to calm her movement and to stabilize her crossbow. One, two, three. "Thwank!" The crossbow made that sound as the bolt got released off the groove and shot through the riser. As it was now on path with her target. Fifteen milliseconds pass as the bolt hits the target in the head, killing her instantly. Twilight then immediately takes a picture with her magic and disassembled the crossbow back into the suitcase. She then took one last look around the target's house. She saw no panic, no sign that anything was wrong. Well besides one pony. Princess Celestia looked alert, as if she saw something or heard something. But Twilight paid it no mind. She calmly walks off the roof, down the fire escape staircase and away from the scene. She was a ghost. Nobody saw her, perfect execution. She then walks back to the bar she came from. Meanwhile back at the party, Princess Celestia did indeed hear Twilight's bolt hitting someone. "What is the matter your highness? You seem anxious." One of the noble ponies asked her. "I heard the distinct sound of a crossbow hitting someone. I need to go, someone might need medical assistance." Princess Celestia stated as she ran off towards the direction of the sound. "Your highness, this is Elena's personal garden, you got no access to enter it." The guard at the fence entrance said. "Fine. But can you check on the host? I thought I heard something just now." Princess Celestia requested. "Very well." The guard entered the garden, only for him to leave immediately. "You may enter, the host is... Is..." he said as he stumbles over his words. "Is?" Princess Celestia asked with a sinking feeling. "Dead. Shot by a crossbow bolt in the head. There is no way she survived that." The guard admitted, before walking off to barf in the bushes. As Princess Celestia enters the garden, she sees the now deceased body of the host of the party. As she looked closer, the bolt had a distinct shape, "A hitman's crossbow..." she said out loud in shock. One of the host's secretaries entered the garden, "Your highness what happened?" the secretary asked in shock at the now dead host. "Shot by a hitman using a sniper type crossbow. Which she did with perfect execution. Shot in the head, when nopony was around. No panic, no blood. No trace." Princess Celestia said as she added that last part softly. "No... This can't be happening. This night was going so well..." The secretary said saddened by the fact. "Do you happen to know, why anyone would maybe target her?" Princess Celestia asked. "I mean every noble has skeletons in their closet. I am afraid I was not one of those privileged to know the truth." The secretary admitted. "Hm. Say that guard. Do you think he was one?" Princess Celestia asked suddenly. "The one at the fence? I think so." The secretary admitted. Princess Celestia then walks back to the now more pale looking guard. "Do you know why she might be targeted?" she asked. "Yes. Very likely, due to her actions on a certain random girl from the slums. You see, she abducted and abused a random girl from the slums. That girl might have had connections with the underground. And the rest you can probably guess." The guard explained. "I see. Thank you. Please send a rapport on the situation later to my guard. He will deal with the rest." Princess Celestia requested before walking back to the party. Back with Twilight, she had finally reached the slums without being spotted... well atleast not outside the slums... sadly. "There you are. You little escapee..." Twilight's abusers said. Twilight's eyes widen in fear. "What is in that suitcase, little Twilight?" The abuser asked with a dark smirk on her face as she grabs the suitcase from Twilight forcibily. Unbeknownst to them, Rouge actually saw that and so did every criminal in the area. And after Twilight's confession, everyone knows too well of what was happening. "No... the suitcase!" Twilight said scared. Her face gone even more pale. "Hm?" The abuser actually opened the suitcase, "Parts of a crossbow." he said. Twilight looked terrified. The abuser then smiled evilly, "Where did you get these?" he asked. "Borrowed." Twilight said obeying in fear of punishment. "From?" The abuser asked curiously. "Her." Twilight said as she points at Rouge in the background. The abuser looks at Rouge, "Is that so." he said that punches Twilight in the face. It takes all of Rouge's willpower not to interfere. But instead when the abuser looks in her direction, she nods in confirmation. It is then something inside Twilight's brain snaps. Her freedom, her sheer desire to escape. And her first kill, finally added up. As she reached for the knife that she hid in her hair, she looks at her abuser's head. Not in fear, but with the intention to kill. As the abuser turns to Rouge to give to suitcase back, Twilight grabs the knife and without any hesitation, she stabs the knife into the back of her abuser's head. Much to the shock of the second abuser in the group. And before the second abuser could do anything, Twilight pulls the knife out of the back of the head and rushes forward and beheaded the second one. Rouge then watches as Twilight gets a lot of blood sprayed on her. In shock and surprise. However one of the assassins in the background smiles in awe at the actions. "My apologize Rouge. These two interfered with the mission. But I have taken care of them. Should I clean it up?" Twilight asked politely. Allowing some Twilight's real past to show itself. "No need." The assassin in the background said, "There are clean up crews in the area for that." The assassin adds, he then looks to is partner and nodded. The partner then walked over and levitated the bodies away into body bags and proceeded to clean up the blood from the ground. Before leaving without any words being used. Causing Twilight to look slightly confused, before once again placing her mask back on her head. "My name is Tadaomi Karasuma. I am currently the leader of the assassination group called, E3. We specialize in assassinations and in turn also hitman jobs. I have been searching for an apprentice. And in my eyes, you fit that bill perfectly. So how about it?" Tadaomi asked politely. "I will come back to you on that, mister Karasuma. I first need to talk to Rouge about my payment. I got her, and made the picture." Twilight said as she showed Rouge the picture. "Very good. I will pay you of course. But I recommend taking Tadaomi on his offer first. He can offer you a home, a place to eat, drink and sleep. And offer you a job while also training you in the art of assassinations and hitman jobs. Not to mention, it will allow you to clean yourself up." Rouge recommended. "Very well then, Mister Karasuma. I will accept your proposal. It's not like got anywhere else to call home. I got no family, and besides the job I just did now, no other forms of income. Luckily I can read, do math and write." Twilight stated, she saw Rouge flinched at the mention of no family for some reason. Tadaomi smiled at this, "Good. You may now call me master. I shall train you to become the worlds greatest assassin and hitman. Perfect aim, survival ability, dexterity, identification, adaptive ability. The works. Welcome on board." he said. "Tadaomi. I got one slight question." Rouge interfered. "Go ahead." Tadaomi allowed. "What if she does have family? And that family wants her back, after she is fully trained. Will she be allowed to go home?" Rouge asked. Tadaomi smiled, "If her family really is alive then of course. I am not cruel. Our organization works in the background. If she has a place to call home, she can blend in. Allowing her to be even more useful. And on top of that, nopony would suspect her to be a killer then, no?" he asked. "Understood. Then please take good care of her. She is still only six years of age. And had to endure far more than anyone should." Rouge requested. "Of course. Now then, please follow me, Twilight." Tadaomi requested. "Yes, Master." Twilight said as she followed her new master. Author's Note So... it begins. This is going to be awesome. I have been wanting to let lose and make something in my style. This is light crossover, it only showcases some characters from other shows. But this will all take place in Equestria. That being said, three books is a lot to work on. Though with this one, I can assure you. It will not end up like Octo Sparkles. Since I have already though of an begin and end. And a rough estimation of the other chapters. Chapter One Chapter One From the beginning once more. Slight warning. This chapter contains some abuse and torture. Due to this, this chapter is skippable if you feel that these topics are a bit too much for you. It is the start, but in the context of the book. It is not required. However it might give you insight on the behavior of our main character. Four years ago. Shining Armor, Princess Cadence and Twilight Sparkle are making their way throughout Equestria. They had stopped by nearly every city. After a short trip all across the country, the trio settled down for a moment in Manehattan. Unbeknownst to the trio, they were being stalked and watched. The stalkers are made up of a group of stallions, ten to be precise. And although in normal sense, they would be after Cadence as she was the source of their hatred and wrath. Today they had set their sight on the youngest of the trio. Twilight Sparkle. The reason is simple. In order to get forcibly closer to Cadence, they needed a scapegoat. Or in the context to Cadence, a hostage. Another more easy to understand reason was the fact that she is a child. Making it easier to get her. However one of the stallions in the group had a different idea. They wanted to exercise their hatred for Cadence through Twilight. By giving her the treatment instead of Cadence. Not only would it end this cat and mouse game, but also it would be easier. Since Twilight was merely two years of age, there was simply no way she could run away. Atleast the stallion thought so. So the group quickly made a plan, a distraction and an execution. From the group of ten, two stallions needed to make a big enough distraction to get Shining Armor away from Cadence and Twilight. As the remaining eight would further split off. Only one was needed to grab Twilight, one quick on their hooves and strong enough to resist her struggling. The rest would distract Cadence herself. As technically seven stallions against one alicorn is still not enough. However it is enough to distract her. It was then they began to act. The two in charge of distracting Shining Armor made a bomb. One large enough to feel across the city. They chose to place it at the least pony heavy place. The docks. And they placed it next to a storage hold. They had no idea of the contents, but surely this was fine. It was far away from any actual potential casualties. This would proven to be a mistake. Inside that hold sat thousands of pounds of gunpowder. They placed a fire bomb next to it. They had no idea, but it was the perfect place for the distraction. Even if the bomb was now far more dangerous than intended. It would do the job. Far better than intended. Then the runner would stalk Twilight like an eagle, since he had wings. And since he was literally the fastest of the group. He was a wonderbolt in training, which was a bonus in the eyes of the many. Especially to the group. And finally the largest group would prepare a bunch of paralyze spells, in order to stun her and spook her. The initial two stallions placed the bomb down. One watched the area to make sure nopony was watching, while the other placed the bomb close to the hold to allow the fire to spread faster to the storage hold. After placing it, they placed a long fuse to it and lit it using a match stick. Then proceeding to run far away sat from the bomb which was about two blocks away. As the fuse hit the bomb's internal system. It blew up and caused a fire that was slowly reached the hold. The two stallions would find out too late that they are far too close. As moments later, the fire reached the gunpowder. The gunpowder inside the storage hold was stored in such a way to make it unsafe. This was on purpose, since unsafe gunpowder was way more expensive then the paralyzed shit. And also because it would take less time to turn it into useful gunpowder. This, at the time, legal action only made sense to the company that would later admit fault and went bankrupt as a result. This would prove to be a mistake however. The fire that reached the gunpowder slowly burned through the wooden cases causing some heat to build up first, until it then suddenly reach over. And all it took was one spark. Causing everything to go quiet. The vision of the two stallions went black as the sheer explosive power of the explosion blew up in their face. And what followed was pure pandemonium. The explosion was so powerful that it erased a radius of six blocks causing it to form a massive crater. The crater itself removed and pushed the dirt down. Causing it to hit the tectonic plates that are below the city. After which a huge earthquake shook Manehattan like paper. Buildings fell down like a giant hoof pushed them to their sides. And any pony caught by the earthquake fell down to their hooves to try and stay still. However the sheer pressure of the forming of the crater created an earthquake so powerful, the earth near Manehattan turned into the sea as they got pushed up and down. Like the waves of an ocean. Making standing up, close to impossible. Later they would find out, that this earthquake was the most powerful earthquake ever recorded. Giving it the only magnitude ten in recorded history. And that wasn't only because ponies couldn't stand up straight. No, it was so powerful that skyscrapers and buildings in general would fall apart. And the fact that you could feel the effects even from the other side of the world. However, it did give the group of stallions the perfect cover. Even if the pandemonium was also hitting them. Two of the seven members were stunned at sheer explosion and earthquake. Either due to shock or fear. They would become useless at the their tasks. Which would actually safe their lives. The pandemonium caused the runner instantly started to dive towards his target and the group, of now five stallions, that would distract Cadence also moved. However the bomb placers were erased. No longer did they exist, not even their ash existed as they have been obliterated. By a bomb of their own creation. But not an explosion of their own making. As the group that would distract Cadence arrived. The sheer sound of the explosion alone was making their entrance literally silent. And the shaking made it hard for Cadence to hold Twilight any longer. Causing her to drop Twilight out of her hooves. She saw as a group of five familiar looking stallion appeared with their magic drawn. She then started casting, however before she could succeed. The stallions paralyzed her. Making her watch in horror at Twilight's kidnapping. After Twilight got dropped, she landed on her flank. Causing her flinch slightly. But as she saw the buildings sway at the shock waves from the explosion. Her mind focused on surviving the earthquake. This caused her to run into the open. Far away from the buildings that could collapse any moment. It is then she suddenly sensed something come at her with bloodlust. Causing her to dodge the initial dodge of the Pegasus. However his training as wonderbolt came in handy as he made a quick U-turn in the sky. Causing him to catch Twilight by surprise. "I got you, you fuck." The Pegasus said slightly annoyed. Twilight was slightly stunned at the fact that she got caught and his swearing, but she regained her composure really fast. Which caused her to immediately start to struggling in an attempt to free herself. Through moving in ways that were uncomfortable to the Pegasus. However as she saw the Pegasus get a needle from his hair, she began biting the Pegasus where it hurts. His wings. Which she nearly succeeded at. Unfortunately for Twilight. The wonderbolt in training was faster and pushed the needle into her neck. Knocking her out cold using some kind of knockout agent. As soon as Twilight was knock out cold. The mission was a success. The runner was about to request his allies to retreat. When he noticed the location of the bombers. There was a crater where they stood. When he looked at the distraction meant for Princess Cadence, he saw a single ominous looking stallion behind his allies. And before she could warn them, they suddenly dropped like flies. Each and everyone of his allies dies one way or another. As the assassin looked in his direction, he got spooked and felt before the unknown assassin could do anything. The assassin then proceeded to place his knife back into his hair and looked at a horrified looking Cadence. He then spoke up. "Your highness. Are you alright?" A feminine stallion with blue hair asked. "I am fine. Please hurry! Twilight is got kidnapped by a Pegasus!" Cadence pleaded. "I am sorry. But our attention is currently split. We cannot not chase him. While also dealing with the aftermath of that explosion. And your safety." He said saddened. "What aftermath?" Cadence asked dazed. It was clear that was unable to see the bigger picture as she was right now. So the stallion approached Cadence slightly closer to explain the situation. But as soon as he did so, he realized the situation was also rather complex for her. He nodded slightly towards Cadence with a sad smile on his face. "I see. You were distracted by these stallions. In an attempt to distract Shining Armor. The stallions blew up a hold filled with unsafe gunpowder. Causing massive destruction and fall out." He explained. He saw Cadence pale at the mention. "How bad?" Cadence asked stunned. "The entire docks have been erased. And a large portion of Manehattan has taken severe amount of damage. The earthquake that followed was only the icing on the cake. We are getting reports of injuries and damage all over Equestria. But the worst is, is the fact that fires and chaos is spreading throughout Equestria. We are busy trying to control the chaos and saving lives." He explained. "What about my... about Shining Armor?" Cadence asked shocked beyond words. "He has immediately called for the highest level of emergency. Code black. And also by using is power as the captain of the guard. He is assigning thousands of guards and personnel all over Equestria to heal and assist. To search and rescue. To prevent and improve. And finally he has called this a matter of highest importance. Causing him to order Princess Celestia's return to Equestria immediately." He explained, he was smiling at the fact slightly. "And the outside world?" Cadence asked. Her tone went from shocked to serious in an instant. "We have yet to ask for assistance. Your take, your highness." He stated. "Call forth the emergence watch. We have a disaster of the highest rating, ten. Requesting all assistance that they are willing to share. The following three words must be used, Explosion, Earthquake, Fire." Cadence ordered, having been forced to switch gears and ignore Twilight's kidnapping. "Understood. And your highness. I will send someone to keep an eye on Twilight Sparkle for you." He said. "Who?" Cadence asked. "Our best assassin we got. The boss, Koro-Sensei." He said smiling. This caused Cadence to gasp. But instead on commenting on it, she nodded. Before turning her full attention on the sheer chaos inside of Manehattan. As she used her powerful wings to fly high into the sky, she used magic she hasn't done for a long time. Her horn lights up as she forced magic to flow after the disturbance. This took a bit of trying since she was still a bit distracted. But after a bit of trying she managed to successfully cast some artificially made clouds with rain and forcibly made it rain in areas with a lot of fire. She also used her levitation to remove rubble from buildings and put it all into the now massive crater. And while doing so, she used telepathy to tell the guards to evacuate areas near the crater in fear of a landslide. As the emergency progressed in Manehattan. It becomes clear that something was on the horizon. As a bunch of clouds appeared. And a cousin of Cloudsdale, arrived to assist Manehattan with the disaster. A thousand Pegasy arrived carrying medical personnel and medical equipment. They also bring water and food for the survivors and much more. With Manehattan in good hooves. Cadence moves her attention to the rest of Equestria. It is then that something rare and incredible occurred. Princess Celestia is about to demonstrate the reason the Canterlot Royal voice exist. "To all my little ponies of Equestria. Please do not panic. I am here to explain the current situation. A massive explosion has shook Manehattan, which in turn caused a massive earthquake as consequence. I urge you to stay calm and to stay clear from any buildings made with weak foundations. Our guards are trying to assist where it is possible, however this caused our guards and personnel to spread thin. We simply do not have enough hooves to assist everywhere and as such I call for the ponies of Equestria for assistance. Please do not wait for help, it might be unlikely for us to assist anyone. However you can help. I request that anyone that is still on their hooves, that are able to move and know things that can help Equestria. Stand up! We need you now, more than ever! We need all the help we can get. Save lives, extinguish fires. And attempt to maintain order. I will bow down to anyone willing to assist our current disaster efforts. So go! Save as many as you can. Work together! For Equestria! For the ponies in need!" Princess Celestia shouted on the absolute top of her voice. The sound of her plea echoed throughout Equestria, and beyond. As Cadence was still flying high above Manehattan, she heard the population of Manehattan shout in agreement. As thousands of ponies suddenly switched from causing chaos to maintaining peace. Helping others. And above all else, saving lives. It's times like this, that forces the population of Equestria to work together. Whether they like to, or not. Realizing that Equestria was now in good hooves. Cadence flew in the direction of Twilight's kidnapper last known location. And flew in the direction that the Pegasus was flying. While she did this, she also used her magic as a beacon. She searched for Twilight everywhere. But alas, she couldn't find her. This sadly forced her to abandon her hopes. And forced her to divert her attention to saving lives. The price was paid. Now the object of hate received even more of a reward. Whether it liked it or not. "Boss. I got her. But my men... they are no more." The runner stated saddened. He placed Twilight on a pedestal. "We will grant those brethren a proper burial later. For now, all our lost men is caused by that thing." The boss points at Twilight like she is merely a object. "We can show her. Our love and hatred for Cadence. And also our hatred for making her lose my men." The boss said with a sadistic smile. "Of course. But now what? The one that suggested that we would torture her is dead." The runner asked. "We will honor him. By whipping our guest." The boss said as he hovers a whip in his magic. "Boss? May I please do the first honor?" The runner pleaded. The boss's smile turns evil, "Yes." he said as he gives the runner the whip. Twilight sadly chose that exact moment to wake up from her knock out agent. She watched as a unknown stallion which was clearly carrying a whip was slowly approaching her. She realized that due to sheer fear, she was unable to move. She then watched the stallion raise the whip and slapping her on the back. "AH!!!" Twilight shouted in pain. She once again tried to back off, only to find out that her hooves have given up. What happened next shall scar Twilight for the rest of her life. The stallion proceeded to whip to living shit out of Twilight. One whip turns into ten. Ten into fifty. Fifty into five hundred. At this point, Twilight lost count as she was forced to endure something no child of her age should ever go through. Eventually she succumbed to her pain and faint due to the sheer extremity of it. And you would think, that that would mean that he would stop whipping her. No, he continued until the boss eventually stopped him. But that was only after three hours of constant whipping. Two hours of which Twilight was unconscious. When Twilight did finally wake up, she was met with something far worse. A crystal of lightning. The boss of the stallions pulled out a crystal containing punishment lightning. "Please. No more. *Hic*" Twilight said crying in fear. The boss merely gave her a blank but evil smile. He then rubbed the dangerous crystal on her body, then threw water over her. The water mended with the lightning causing static electricity build up. Which eventually created the world's most painful static shock. The sheer fact that Twilight took it and still didn't fall over was a showcase of resilience. Even a stallion that was an adult prince with both horn and wings would have fainted from it. But not Twilight. "AAAAAAAAA-" Twilight said as she screamed in pain. The shocks forcing her to scream longer than intended. The boss muffled her before she could finish. By forcing a apple into her mouth, he effectively silenced Twilight. As he repeated his actions, over and over. Twilight didn't faint this time, but her eyes went from beautiful purple with a sparkle in it. To slightly dull purple without any sparkles. Clearly something happened, but not externally. But mentally. 'What did I do to deserve this fate? This fate... is worse than death.' She thought strangely mature for her age. As she calmly looks at her captors, one more last thought crossed her mind. Before she would faint. 'I wonder. Are you guys safe?' she thought as her memory was failing her, she succumbed to her pain by fainting. Author's Note [Message Deleted due to unsavory author comment.] See this blog post for more information. Chapter Two Chapter Two Trauma can be good too. After Twilight was accepted into the organization she expected a lot of people that like her, but it was nothing like that. Not only was Tadaomi surprisingly warm, the ponies surrounding him felt nothing like the ponies during her kidnapping. No blank stares, no broken bodies. Everyone seemed healthy, if a bit alert. She noticed some ponies hiding knifes even. But she wasn't sure why. Plenty of ponies were just walking around in an secret underground city, Filled with buildings. However some buildings were devoid of any life signs. Making some buildings totally empty. Of course the more buildings there are, the more this underground city feels unreal. Though Twilight has already experienced her own fair share of underground mayhem during her stay at the underground prison where she received a lot of 'Activities'. "You might be surprised to find such a large city. But don't worry. Some of these buildings are fake." Tadaomi stated, "They are used as classrooms regarding the several other teachings in this city." "You said classrooms... is this city one big academy?" Twilight stoically asked. "Yes. This academy teaches ponies and stallions the ways of killing and stealth. However our school is primarily used in the underground or black market if you will. To kill as a hitman. To assassinate some powerful beings. Which in some cases are trained in our faculty. Me and two others are targets. Of course the faculty is larger, but most aren't test targets." Tadaomi explained. "Who are?" Twilight asked, she showed no bloodlust. But Tadaomi could tell that she was showing... a little bit of emotion. "Me, Tadaomi Karasuma. Our professional hitpony, Irena Jelavic. And our headmaster, Koro-sensei. By the way, don't try to assassinate our headmaster just yet. He is technically immortal. And insanely fast." Tadaomi warned. "Hm. I see. I am sorry. I do not care about him anyways. No amount of bounty matters much anyways." Twilight said, she truly didn't care. She was happy enough to have a home and a job. No need to attempt to kill those she needs. "Twilight. Are you sure? His bounty is in the billions." Tadaomi asked slightly confused. "Sir. I am not hired to kill him. I am just a beginner. I doubt I stand much of a chance. Besides..." Twilight said as she gave him... an odd smile. It felt weird, but it has been a while since she last gave a smile, whether fake or real. She wasn't so sure anymore. "Hm?" Tadaomi said slightly confused. "Atleast I have no need to worry about my enemies in here." Twilight coldly admits. "You care more that you are safe, then money?" Tadaomi asked surprised. "Sir. What would I even be able to do with all that money? I have no hobbies, no other home. No family. All I have is this crossbow and some bolts. Sure I could upgrade it, but a small sum is enough for me." Twilight calmly explained. "I see. No amount of abuse will remove your humble nature... I like it. Alright. So, what do you wish to learn?" Tadaomi asked. "Right now I have no wishes. Assign me anything." Twilight simply stated. "How about sharpshooting and crossbow knowledge? Sharpshooting will teach you how to shoot under a multitude of situations and crossbow knowledge to allow a greater arrangement of attachments and general knowledge." Tadaomi suggested. "Sure." Twilight calmly said, though its clear there was something else she wanted. But she feared for a punishment if she spoke up. Tadaomi noticed this, but said nothing about it. Instead, Twilight followed Tadaomi around for a while. He attempted to show Twilight the grounds, but she simply paid no attention to any of it. Instead all she remembered from the tour was the two locations where her lessons would take place. And also the dormitory. She would share it with two other ponies. "Nice to meet you. My name is Rio Nakamura and this is Rinka Hayami." Rio said introducing herself and her roommate. "Hello. You are a bit young, but we accept anyone." Rinka said slightly surprised. "Hm." Twilight nodded, but said otherwise nothing. "Alright. Twilight your class and Rinka's classes are the same. But to put things simple. Here is the schedule. I wish you the best of luck. And Rio, Rinka, she has gone through some terrible shit. Please be careful what you say." Tadaomi warned before leaving. "Yes, Sensei!" Rio answered. Before Tadaomi was out of sight. "So you are Twilight? You are a bit young, may I ask what happened?" Rinka asked with a worried voice. "To put things simple. Abuse." Twilight coldly admitted. "How bad?" Rio asked. "Define bad." Twilight calmly asked while taking a seat at one of the two bunk beds and placing her crossbow suitcase on top of said bed. "As in torture or blackmail?" Rio asked. "Torture. Oh and I am still technically being chased." Twilight calmly stated. As soon as she admitted to torture, Rio and Rinka's eyes widen. They both look at each other, before slowly giving Twilight a hug. Much to her displeasure. "I am sorry for asking. Anyways, we are going to also be classmates huh? How good are ya?" Rinka asked in a slightly competitive tone. "Fine for a beginner. My desire for escaping my chasers pushed my ability further." Twilight said. "Beginner?! Tadaomi allowed a beginner in?!" Rinka shouts surprised. "More like saved her, when he got the opportunity. He still has a contract with her, remember?" Rio simply answered. "Right. The sun mistress." Rinka rolled her eyes. "Well I have killed someone silently, at a party with Princess Celestia nearby." Twilight offered. "Oh? Real job experience? I suppose that makes up for the beginner status." Rinka said sarcastic. "I am sorry." Twilight drooped. Causing Rinka to sigh. Even she can see the negative emotions behind her calm mask. She may act calm and quiet, but she was far from quiet. "Sorry about Rinka. She takes her job as sharpshooter very serious. She tries her best to be professional about her job. Which might make her a bit hard to please." Rio offered as condolence. Twilight sighed, "I know the feeling. I want to be seen as strong... but I am sure even you can see my... less pleasant nature below it. My mask I mean. It's merely a way to protect myself. I am sure you understand." she admitted. "And I do. Honestly. But its hard for me to suddenly accept new students. Especially with the goal we have." Rinka admitted. "If you mean your headmaster, then you mustn't worry. I have no interest in your headmaster. I am already glad to have a roof above my head and a place to work at." Twilight said dismissive. "I see. Regardless our first class starts in two hours. Which is Sharpshooting. Today Koro-Sensei is our teacher. So you might notice students attempting to assassinate him in the middle of class. Also Koro-Sensei isn't a pony, so don't be afraid. Unless angered, he is harmless." Rinka warned. "What was today's lesson anyways?" Rio asked curious. "Long distance shooting. And as an added bonus, we can target Koro-Sensei as additional target." Rinka said excited. "You said that he isn't a pony. What is he?" Twilight asked slightly curious. "And octopus with supernatural abilities. One of which is, he can only be killed used bb like bullets containing a special liquid that is Anti-Koro. So all our guns may seem like ordinary guns, they can't actually harm us ponies. Lead rounds or bolts don't work on him." Rinka explained. "Oh! And super speed. He can do something like mach 15. With is about fifteen times faster than the speed of sound." Rio added. "Is that so? He seems like an interesting fellow." Twilight said. "Oh and if we don't kill him in time, then he is going to doom the world. Since the form he has is unstable and can eventually destroy the world." Rio added even further. "Ah. So that is why the bounty is that high. I am sorry to say this, but I couldn't care less." Twilight said after taking a minute soak this information in. "Why?" Rinka asked slightly surprised. "Something tells me, that everything is going to be just fine. Without my interference." Twilight simply stated. "I see. Well you might have noticed ponies and stallions hiding their knife, well they wanted to attempt to assassinate Tadaomi, but well. You were in the way. So nopony actually did anything." Rio explained. Either Twilight didn't listen, or didn't care. Since she just cut herself off the conversation to clean her crossbow. She slowly disassembled her crossbow, her reassembled it while also removing the dust off it. Rio and Rinka instantly realized that she was ignoring them. Which annoyed Rio. However Rinka realized that this was a way for Twilight to cope with new information. Rio growled slightly, before dropping it. "Anyways class is starting in ten minutes. Believe me, you don't want to be late. Are you coming, beginner?" Rinka asked calmly. Twilight nodded as she quickly reassembled her crossbow, before joining Rinka. As they walked back towards class. Which they reached in give or take, five minutes or so. And by the time they were there, they were the first. Well besides Koro-sensei that is. "So you must be Twilight, correct?" The yellow octopus named Koro-sensei asked. "Yes sir." Twilight stated. "Good. Your stay in the prison hasn't reduced your mannerism. That is good. Truth be told, I have been watching you. Even inside the prison, but chose to merely watch not actually intervene." Koro-sensei admitted. "I understand. You mustn't act without knowing the full context of the situation, correct?" Twilight deduced as she showed a bit of her own personality. Koro-sensei smiled at this, "Among other reasons, but yes. That is also a perfectly acceptable reasoning. Other reason was, because of you. I was specifically told not to interfere by one of the princesses." he explained. "I see. May I ask something of you?" Twilight politely asked. "Certainly, what is it?" Koro-sensei asked curiously. "Will you save those other ponies now that I am out of the equation?" Twilight asked hopeful. Koro-sensei's smile turned sad, "I want to, I really do. But I cannot. That place is under the protection by one of the princesses." he admits. "Then... Can I one day save them? With your help that is?" Twilight asked hopeful. "I cannot promise that... but perhaps one day. For now, you need to care for yourself. As you are still not ready to do so." Koro-sensei stated. "Alright. So now what?" Twilight asked causing her stoic face to return once more. "Let's wait for the other students. Oh! But before I forget. Take these special bolts. They are going to be your bolts during your use on campus ground. Outside of campus ground, you may use the metal bolts once more." Koro-sensei said as he grabs a piece of paper and wraps it around the bolts, before giving it to Twilight. "Special anti-Koro bolts I presume?" Twilight asked. "Yes. But they are harmless against other ponies. Meaning they are safe." Koro-sensei explained. "Alright. I care little about their purpose, but if they won't accidentally kill another student then that is fine." Twilight stated slightly pleased. "Twilight I do have a quick question about your stay in that prison. Is there perhaps a reason why you wish to save them as soon as possible?" Koro-sensei asked worried. "Yes. We staged a massive distraction in the form of a brawl. Giving me precious time to escape. One of the prisoners actually told me to try and make connections with Tadaomi. Said that she is a student." Twilight explained. Koro-sensei's eyes went wide in shock, "What was his or her's name?" he asked worried. "Uhm. I think she was lying about being a student. She seemed too old for that. Her name was Aguri Yukimura. She was the only one in the prison that gave me sparkle of hope. I truly hope she is alright." Twilight said. The moment Aguri's name was mentioned, the moment Koro-sensei's color went from yellow to black instantly. "What was her condition when you left?" Koro-sensei asked in sheer rage. "Actually better than me. I took a lot of punishments that she would have otherwise received. The prison keepers actually said that my condition was the worst of all the prisoners. So I assume in a lot better condition than me." Twilight stated. "Thank you. I am going to go and teach that prison a lesson. Fuck the vow, fuck the princess in charge. Time to show who I really am." Koro-sensei said enraged as he took off in a speed faster than mach 15. Causing Twilight to nearly get blown away by the sheer wind pressure. "..." Twilight blinked for a moment. Only to also dash after Koro-sensei with a lot of speed as well. Not mach 15 perhaps. But a lot of speed regardless. Running past Tadaomi in the blink of an eye. Tadaomi in turn blinked as he watches Twilight run lightning speed after Koro-sensei. It caused him to pause, before using his magic to tell his agents to follow Koro-sensei and Twilight. As Twilight was somehow keeping up. Twilight followed Koro-Sensei to the border of the prison. When her sheer instinct of fear hit her like a truck. Causing her to stop dead in her tracks. But she wasn't the only one that was shocked. Koro-Sensei was also dumbstruck at the sight before him. The whole prison got hit by something. Which absolutely obliterated it. The prison and every building in a ten mile radius was gone. Almost the crater of a meteorite impact. However both Twilight and Koro-Sensei knew that wasn't it. As Twilight was the first to calmly and carefully walked into the crater, she inspected the area carefully. The first thing that stood out, was that not the entire building was destroyed. This was unusual, since everything else around the building was simply gone. Roads, buildings, signs of life itself. Simply gone. Obliterated by whatever hit the area. The second thing Twilight noticed was an unusual smell. She looked around and saw something damning. A anti-Koro bullet which appear to have been used. The content of the round itself was gone, all that was left was the empty shell. "Sir. Take a look at this." Twilight beaconed at Koro-Sensei. Koro-Sensei looked at Twilight slightly surprised, before carefully walking over to her. Once he had arrived, he looked at the unusual sight. An empty anti-Koro round. "This is..." Koro-Sensei said as he connected the dots. "It isn't the only rounds. This odd smell. There might have been a lot of rounds being fired, probably all of them Anti-Koro." Twilight calmly stated. "It is. I remember this smell... Do you think that she might be dead?" Koro-Sensei asked drooping slightly at the question itself. Twilight calmly shook her head, "No way. This prison had an emergency escape in case of unusual events. I doubt they let all the prisoners simply die. After going to the trouble of kidnapping all of us." "That makes sense. Say, Twilight. Did you experience experimentation on you?" Koro-Sensei asked worried. "Yes." Twilight calmly stated, however Koro-Sensei saw fear behind her eyes. Fear only an experiment could experience. "Was it... No nevermind. So now what?" Koro-Sensei asked. "I suggest going back. And perhaps reporting your... mistress about your lapse in promises. Meanwhile I just skipped class on my first day... That isn't a good outlook." Twilight suggested. Koro-Sensei smiled as he ruffles Twilight hair. "Don't worry. I am sure the faculty understands. I shall personally inform them. If Tadaomi hasn't done so already." "They are watching... Aren't they?" Twilight said unusually alert. Koro-Sensei replied by grabbing Twilight and flying in super speed back to the underground city. Twilight meanwhile saw a glimpse of the agents that were following them. "They had the same suits as Tadaomi... Are they related?" Twilight asked. "No. Same organization. They are here to monitor me." Koro-sensei simply explained. "Are you really as dangerous as they say you are? Because... I have seen dangerous. And you aren't one of them." Twilight asked. "My Koro powers could blow up the world." Koro-sensei warned. "Perhaps. And yet something tells me, you are lying to yourself." Twilight simply said. Koro-sensei's eyes widen slightly. "You... are very similar to Aguri." Twilight smiled, "I was told that... a lot." "But?" Koro-sensei asked slightly worried. "I am Aguri... if she was able to endure torture AND being experimented on. Which she isn't, by the way." Twilight simply stated. "I wanted to ask you this earlier... But what exactly did those experiments entail?" Koro-Sensei asked. "Well they said that they were trying to make the perfect hitman using cybernetic parts. Apparently the government paid them to do so... Not Equestria's government but... an outside organization. But it kept failing when they tried on adults. So they checked if it would work on children." Twilight explained. "Did it work?" Koro-Sensei asked slightly worried. Twilight sighed and looked down. Her ears going on the side in sadness, "Yes." Author's Note Oh and if you are wondering. Yes you will experience some of the torture she face in the future. For now, Twilight and Koro-sensei will be seen often together. Another thing, as optimist, writing such a story is... hard. Very hard. Also this is also giving you some "Gunslinger Girl" anime vibes. It is an inspiration. So don't expect too many updates. But don't worry. Once one of my other stories is finished. This story will receive a lot more updates. However that might take a while. So expect irregular and slow updates. Chapter Three Chapter Three Where there is a beginning, there is an end. Flashback. One hour after Twilight successfully escaped. "Shit! This isn't good." Aguri said as she alongside all the other prisoners and prison keepers are taking one of the emergency tunnels to escape... something. "Sis. What was that thing?" Akari asked confused. The two of them had witnessed the event that happened when an experimentation would go wrong. Akari didn't know this, But Aguri knew. She was an undercover scientist at the prison. However her weakness was her kindness. She would calm Twilight down... As she was the only successful being for all the experimentation besides Koro-Sensei. "Aguri. We have a different issue. We have lost some scientist and prisoners. It seems they escaped in the confusion." One of the prison keepers stated. "I know James. Listen we need to prioritize our current prisoners and move them to Bravo Two. Meanwhile use every Koro bullet you have to slow that them thing down!" Aguri ordered. "Yes madam. I was nice knowing you." James said as he ran back into the fray. "Sis?" Akari asked. "Akari. That is what happens when an experiment goes wrong. They used Koro Genes on him. He is soon going to explode from the unstable nature of his current body. You need to run!" Aguri shouted. "But what about Twilight Nee-chan? Is she alright?" Akari asked before moving forward. "Listen dear. She has the body of an cyberpony. Unless shrapnel hits her eyes and into her brain through said eyes. She is immortal. For now keep running. I will meet you later." Aguri shouted. However just as they were about to run away. Everything turned black for Akari. The stress of running from danger became too much. As she too, had some implants. Nothing like Twilight, but implants nonetheless. "Shit James! I need to manually move my sister. Her implants overheated again!" Aguri shouted. "Then Go! I think he is about to blow. T-5 minutes." James shouted. "Shit shit shit!" Aguri shouted as she desperately moved her sister. And right after they made it. Aguri closed the bulkhead behind her. From which when a tremendous amount of force can be felt and the sound of a powerful explosion can be heard on the other side of the bulkhead. Present day. Twilight little expedition out to the now crater of her old prison had ended. As her first class started. "Sorry about the delay everyone. I got a bit better acquainted with Twilight for a moment. Anyways, welcome everyone. Today we are going to practice long range shooting on that fake Koro-Sensei target. Truth be told, I was going to become the target. But since young Twilight here needs some basic knowledge. I need to give her some first. If we have time after that, I will once more become the target." Koro-Sensei explained. "Aw." Everyone in the class said disappointed. "Unless Tadaomi is willing to extend this class. It is unlikely that I can be shot at, today. Since I wasted a bunch of time already." Koro-Sensei admitted. "Tadaomi! Is there a chance?" Rinka asked hopeful. "No. I am afraid I already extended the time once. I will not do it twice." Tadaomi stated, already kind of annoyed. "Darn." Rinka said sad. "Well since Tadaomi is here already. He could show me some basics... While you do your thing, Koro-Sensei." Twilight offered instead. Tadaomi blinked at the suggestion before smiling, "If Koro-Sensei allows it. Then that is a good idea." "Fine. I will talk about stances and moves later with you in private. And... about that thing we discussed during flight." Koro-Sensei reasoned. "Yes!" The class shouted happily. Twilight's reputation increased thanks to this suggestion. Twilight cybernetic eyes showed as much. As she had a AR view of the world thanks to all the experimentation. Which was more often than not, just annoying as hell. Twilight meanwhile paid it no mind as she watches Tadaomi come closer. "Alright Twilight show me your current form." Tadaomi requested. Twilight then used the pre-programmed stance she was supposed to take with her now favorite crossbow. She loaded the chamber with a Anti-Koro bolt as she looked down the sight for a moment. "Fire!" Tadaomi ordered. Twilight reacted instantly, as she fired. However due to the fact that the bolt tip is bouncy, the bolt bounced off the target and into one of Koro-sensei's tentacles. Hitting it by pure accident. Koro-Sensei, Tadaomi, the class, heck even Twilight blinked in confusion at what just happened. And it took a solid five minutes for everyone to recover from their confusion. Koro-Sensei was the first to recover as he realized the evil smiles the class was giving him. The class then without a slight hesitation, opened fire at random. Twilight used her hooves to imitate silencing the sound. When in reality she merely muted her ears. She saw that Tadaomi looked proud at her, while Koro-sensei looked slightly confused at her. Twilight then pointed at her brain and mouthed 'Programmed...' Koro-sensei's eyes widen in shock. Before nodding and pointing at his office while dodging the bullets. Twilight nodded. Unbeknownst to Twilight, Tadaomi also understood what she just mouthed. Causing him to frown. He looks at Koro-sensei before giving Twilight a bunch of pointers. The whole perfect shooting and constant pointers from Tadaomi lasted about an hour. Until the end of the lesson. Normally Twilight would have joined Tadaomi in the next mandatory class. But Koro-sensei excused Twilight from the group for some important communication that needed to be done between Twilight and the faculty. "Sorry about this Twilight. The rest of the faculty will be listening in. Since they are going to be watching over you for the remainder of the year. That way they can also give you better schooling... But also so they don't accidentally step on a landmine." Koro-sensei calmly explained. "No. They have the right to know... So ask away. I will try to answer to my best of my abilities. But! I will chose whether I answer or not. Alright?" Twilight offered. "Deal." Koro-sensei said as he shook Twilight's hoof. "Let me get the alicorn out of the room. What exactly are you?" Koro-sensei asked. "An experiment in a nutshell. But to be more precise. Half pony, half cyborg. Pre-programmed to be a hitman. In order for the last part to work, they deleted a bunch of memories or twisted others." Twilight explained. "And... that doesn't bother you?" Koro-sensei asked with a confusing color. "I have also been programmed... Which causes my emotions to have trouble displaying. And also I have been programmed not to care about it." Twilight admitted deadpanned. "But?" Koro-sensei knowingly asked. "Yeah... It bothers me a lot. But at this point, I say. Whatever, atleast I am still alive. Unlike some others." Twilight stated calmly. "Have you seen a lot of death?" Koro-sensei asked. "Yes." Twilight answered without missing a beat. "Willing to give more details?" Koro-sensei asked. But Twilight shook her head. Ending the question right there. "Alright. In terms of programming. What were you programmed with?" Koro-sensei asked. "How to disassemble and re-assemble a crossbow. How to clean a crossbow. The stance to take when shooting a crossbow and how to properly shoot said crossbow. That is all." Twilight explained. "What about the art of killing?" Koro-sensei asked worried. "I escaped before they successfully programmed me with that." Twilight stated, suggesting that she got incomplete information on that piece of knowledge. "I see. I suppose that is good. About you past... How much do you remember that feels as the real timeline of events?" Koro-sensei suddenly asked curiously. Twilight's eyes widen before beginning to think. "I never really thought that any was fake... But I do suppose that there are some oddities when I look back. Things that makes little sense in the context of the situation. "Do you believe that you truly were tortured?" Koro-sensei asked serious. "Yes..." Twilight grabs her head in pain as she is trying to force the memories to return. "Torture.... then a week of no torture? Then..." Before she can continue the pain overwhelmed her mind and body. Causing her to faint, "Akari... Where are you?" she said in her daze before truly fainting. "Twilight!" Koro-sensei shouted as he quickly grab her before she hit the floor. Tadaomi entered the room as well to check up on her. "She must have tried to force the memories out. Poor girl. Even her memories are faulty at best." Tadaomi said saddened. "Akari... I know her. Isn't she Aguri's little sister?" Irena asked as she too entered the room calmly. "Yes. If I remember her at the briefing. She is someone that is receiving implants for an injury. Wait. Do you think?" Tadaomi asked surprised. "Yes. That would make sense." Koro-sensei said worried. "Hm. Twilight and Akari are friends then I presume." Tadaomi stated. "Yes. But why are her memories so faulty?" Irena asked confused. "Surely that organization isn't brainwashing as well, is it?" "Unlikely. Which means that after the cyber upgrades were attached. Something happened. Either that, or she was too broken to remember at the time." Tadaomi reasoned. "*Bzzt* *Bzzt*" Tadaomi's magic phone was ringing. In a EMP enhanced room. Before he could pick it up, it unlocked itself. "Is this... Tadaomi?" A girl voice stated on the other side of the phone. "Who is this?" Tadaomi boomed. "I... I don't have much time to talk. Listen, my phone is attached to Twilight. When she fainted, my phone registered her location. Not accurately, but regardless. I saw she fainted am I wrong?" The girl on the other side asked. "What do you want exactly?" Tadaomi asked annoyed. "Well if she fainted... then you need to whisper the following code in her ear. Or she is going to stay asleep... For a very long time. "Akari is your friend". Is the code. Please hurry. There are enemies coming since they too heard the alarm. Her position has been broadcasted. It is only a matter of-" The girl tried to explain when suddenly the line went dark. Koro-sensei whispered that exact phrase into Twilight's ear. Causing her to reboot herself. "System report in progress." Twilight said in a monotone voice, "Physical form all green. Shooting ability all green. Mental status... Error connection lost. Attempt to reestablish connection. 1, 2, 3, Connection to main server lost. Attempting manual override. Warning mental inconsistencies detected. Attempted memory restart without primal conditioning. Entity not ready to tell the truth. Requesting to be laid down, preferably on a bed of some kind. Use code when ready." After Koro-sensei calmly walked through the building to the guest room. He laid her on the soft bed. After which he used the code. "Very soft bed detected." Twilight stated, "Warning memory has been triggered. Would you like to see it?" Koro-sensei looks at Tadaomi and Irena. They nod. "Yes. Show memory." "Replaying memory. Voice only. Film hasn't been unlocked yet." Twilight's monotone voice rang. Flashback "Twilight!" A female voice spoke. "Cadence. I am right here!" Twilight said. A hug can be heard on the replay. As a weird dance can also be heard. "Where are we going today?" Twilight asked. "Today we are going to A̷̝̪̹͛̐̇̐̌́́̚͝ļ̴̫͖̰̍̇̂̓͒͛́l̶̨̡͔͉̹̣͎̹̳̒́̀̈́̓͗̑͐͆͠ŷ̵̧͘͠͠w̴͉̺͚̬̐a̵̠̲̣̙̹͍̰̰̲̹͝ÿ̴̞͙͔͍͙́̅̌͑́̉͌͒͘ to shop at today." Cadence stated. A weird glitchy mess can be heard. "Great! Will big brother Shining Armor join us?" Twilight asked. "y̴͔̏͗͐̊̅͂̓͗e̷̥̐̌̈ş̶͚̦̟̝̯͍̩͕̇̍͛̈́̓͛ͅ No." Cadence said. The voice has become even more glitchy. "That is awesome-" Twilight said incomplete as the glitchy memory ends. "Warning. Severe inconsistencies detected in memory. Memory had been warped 95%. Possible cause: Extreme trauma and PTSD. Suggested action: Time. Lots and lots of time. Try to avoid triggering memories or do not replay them. Until mind has recovered enough." Twilight monotone voice explained. "That doesn't sound good." Koro-sensei said worried. "Recommended current action. Restart this cyberpony. Allow full restart. DO NOT REPLAY ANY MEMORIES!" Twilight monotone voice shouted. "Alright. Restart. Code Akari is your friend." Tadaomi stated. "Code accepted. Restarting now." Twilight's monotone voice stated. After a few minutes. Twilight had been fully restored as she simply stood up from the bed and walked up to Koro-sensei. "Sorry you had to witness that memory. I was also watching it. And realized that my... current condition is simply not ready to remember yet. Perhaps in due time." Twilight calmly stated. "Yes. Perhaps the questioning should wait. Tell you what, is there anything that should get your mind of this event?" Koro-sensei asked. "I... I want to do another..." Twilight asked. "Another what?" Koro-sensei asked curious. "Mission." Twilight finished somewhat timid. Koro-sensei cringed a little. Irena's eyes widen. But Tadaomi merely nodded. "Alright. Follow me. I will show you on the hows and whens. Okay?" Tadaomi asked. "Sure." Twilight said as she meekly followed him. Author's Note Also I finally figured out what this story is going to work as. It took like three chapters and literally months of thinking. And I finally know where this story is going to head. And its potential ending as well. The ending could change of course, but atleast now I know a course of writing direction. So expect more chapters coming much more often since now I know what to do and how to write. Also damn, this book isn't getting any raving like to dislike ratio is it? Chapter Four Chapter Four Sometimes the truth is in plain sight. It would require a knowing smile to solve the issue. "So you wish to take a mission." Tadaomi said as he stood in front of the green room. Also known as the debrief room. This is the room used for both mission control and to talk about classified information, normally anyways. Not this time around however. Twilight nodded, "Yes something to take my mind off... of that." "Did you know that not every mission require murder? Since I do not want to give you another assassination mission. In our campus, each student can only do one a week. While other missions can be done daily." Tadaomi explained. "What about unique missions?" Twilight wondered. "Those are special. And will only come up whenever we say so. Anyways. I want to actually grant you a different kind of daily quest." he explained. "Let me guess. It is one to calm me down with. Something somewhat soothing. Correct?" She asked. Tadaomi smiled and nodded, "Surprisingly these are actually quite popular. Since when you are a part of this campus it is also important to blend among citizens. Since that is an important action when escaping a crime scene. Or better yet, to allow yourself some time to recover." "And to make that easier. You give us something specific to do correct?" Twilight deduced. Tadaomi nodded, "Yes. So today I made sure to hide this quest. So that I could give it to you." he said as he proceeded to give Twilight the quest. 'Quest type ordinary. A simple resting mission. Go to Ponyville and go to the famous sugarcube corner. Eat a few cakes and acquaint yourself with the local baker. Bonus points if you make friends with her.' The quest stated. "Points?" Twilight asked. "Right. You get bonus points on your test by completing quests like this one. Let's say you get a low score. Quests like these can save your test. By obtaining bonus points." Tadaomi explained. "I see. A friend huh. That will be mighty difficult." Twilight admitted. "What do you mean?" Tadaomi asked. "I know some of the baker's background. She and I aren't to different. And not for the right reasons. However my inability to show my emotions properly might make it hard." Twilight stated. "You mean Pinkie Pie correct? Well she tries making friends with everyone." Tadaomi stated. "I know." Twilight said saddened. "Do you know her?" Tadaomi said as he just stepped on a landmine. He realized this right after saying so. But it was too late. Twilight looks at Tadaomi. Showing an emotion she hasn't shown in ages. Sadness. A tear streaked down her face. "Yes. I met her... She met me... It was such a rare thing. We befriended each other, even if she was merely a guest. However she knew... that something was up. I told her to stay away. I didn't want to fall into the same trap. She understood and left." She explained. "I wonder if she remembers." Twilight muttered. Tadaomi was able to picture the scenario. It too, made him a bit depressed. "This is Pinkie we are talking about. Surely!" Tadaomi reassured. "I will take it. It has been a while since I had anything sweet. But... I don't have any money." Twilight admitted. "Don't worry. Here take these." Tadaomi said as he hoofed over roughly fifty bits. "Okay. I guess I will visit good ol' Cotton Candy." Twilight said while leaving. Making Tadaomi slightly confused at the nickname. As soon as she was gone, Tadaomi basically collapsed in relieve. "Thank goodness. I was worried that I nearly set off another memory." he said. "Yes. Next time be more careful." Koro-sensei said from around the corner. "Of course. Now, let hope that this break will do her some good." Tadaomi hoped. Meanwhile Twilight was using her advanced eye sight to not get lost. Which was effective since the base was a practical maze for outsiders, after which she exited the campus, the exit was right below Canterlot, and headed to the train station. There she got a ticket, waited for the train. And headed to Ponyville as soon as the train arrived. The train trip itself was uneventful, which Twilight did enjoy. She was a quiet pony anyways. Not much for chatting. As soon as the train entered the Ponyville station. She got off her seat and waited at the door for it to open. After it opened, Twilight jumped out. And casually walked towards the big festive looking building. Sugarcube Corner. While walking towards it, she noticed a bunch of looks of empathy. This probably due to the fact that she had cyber implants all over her body. Making ponies believe that she had some kind of serious incident. And was forced to live with implants like that. Which garnered both pity and jealous looks. Twilight paid it no mind as she continued to calmly walk to Sugercube corner. As soon as she was nearby, her nose implant smelled a bunch of sugar. Something she hasn't had in... like atleast four to five years. Not that she needed it, it wasn't going to help in a survival situation. However today she got a rare chance to eat something... sweet. As soon as she entered the bell at the door rang. And she heard a familiar voice shout that, whoever they were, was coming. Twilight meanwhile calmly walk towards the counter as she looked at the cakes and the like. "Welcome to Sugar-" Pinkie started only to cut herself off, when she saw who entered. "It... has been a while. Cotton Candy." Twilight said, using Pinkie's nickname. "Twilight." Pinkie simply said, as a tear was released. She then quickly but carefully gave Twilight a hug. Twilight returned the hug quietly." "Where have you been?" Pinkie asked as she made Twilight follow her into her bedroom upstairs. "I have... gone somewhere safe. Somewhere those... people can't touch me." Twilight carefully explained. "Good! I saved you some candy rocks. Since I know you don't really like cake." Pinkie said as she grabs the candy rocks out of nowhere. Twilight gave Pinkie a small smile, "Thanks." Pinkie then gave Twilight the rocks. As she proceeded to carefully and calmly ate each rock. One by one. To Twilight, this was heaven. Since these rocks are one of few things in life that gives her hope. It reminds her off... a certain alicorn friend. "I hope these are better than the last... rocks..." Pinkie said as she mentally cringed. "Yes. Atleast these have taste. The last was... well. For a lack of a better word. inedible." Twilight said. She didn't cringe, but was slightly sad. "How are these new friends of yours?" Pinkie wondered. "Protective but also confused. They are trying to piece together on the truth of my past." Twilight admitted in between the crunching sound in her teeth. "I see. I understand why. If it wasn't for... them. This would have never happened, right?" Pinkie asked. "I am unsure. Whether my future would differ or not. Is of no concern. Atleast I am now finally safe. I have a place I can call home and a place where I can do... tasks. Fulfilling tasks." Twilight simply stated. "Still trouble showing emotions?" Pinkie asked saddened. "Yes. It is slowly improving. But like your sister Maud. I am not very expressive. And just like her, we have similar ways of showing our emotions, but that doesn't mean we don't truly show it." Twilight said. "I see." Pinkie said as she casually stood up to get more sugar rocks. It is then that Twilight stood up high. Something triggered her sensors of danger. Not far behind was Pinkie's pinkie sense. "Pinkie. Grab your adoptive parents. And head to the basement. We got hostile company!" Twilight requested. "Alright." Pinkie said. Before running down, she saw Twilight suddenly carry a hitman crossbow. However she knew that Twilight was carrying it for protection. Pinkie rushes downstairs. Shut down the kitchen. And grabs the rest of Cakes family into the basement. And not a moment to soon. As soon as they entered the basement. A massive explosion can be felt, as the side of the first floor took damage from some kind of explosion. "Twilight the cyborg... I finally found you!" One of the prison keepers shouted. "Fuck off." Twilight said angry. She also used her magic to give Koro-sensei a small tug. A warning tug. "Don't you fucking use magic. You little cunt!" The prison keeper said swearing. However Twilight didn't listen. She immediately switched out the anti-Koro bolt for a metal one. And shot at the stallion without any hesitation. The stallion barely avoided the attack. He levitated his magnum and shot at Twilight. She too, barely dodged the shots fired at her. This shooting fight continued on for several minutes. Until Twilight realized that Pinkie's house was being destroyed by her past mistakes. This made her break one of her emotional barriers. As she turns on the special murder aimbot she had been programmed with, she begins to speed reload and fire her crossbow. Faster than any pony normally is able to do so. Turning her crossbow into a machine gun shooting bolts instead of bullets. This was quickly overwhelming the prison keeper. Sadly for Twilight, he had called for backup. And this caused the fight to go from one vs one. To one vs twenty in mere moments. She was being overwhelmed one to twenty. However the warning tug was finally showing its effect. The warning tug showed its effects as agents from Tadaomi's force arrives in droves. Turning the fight from one to twenty. To one hundred to one in an instant. Two thousand agents absolutely destroyed the prison keepers forces. And destroyed any hope for future back up from arriving. Not much later, a disguised Koro-sensei arrived on the scene. Also ready to take action when required. However the fight was already over. Tadaomi himself arrived soon after to clean the bodies up. Twilight was luckily uninjured. Not even a bit a blood splatter was seen on her skin. "Shall we go back home?" Koro-sensei asked. However Twilight shook her head, "I want to talk with Pinkie and her friends some more." Koro-sensei and Tadaomi smiled, "Alright. Give us a call when you want to go home. A simple magical tug will do. Our people will assist you in getting back home." Tadaomi stated before everyone, Koro-sensei included, left the scene. Twilight then proceeded to walk downstairs on the badly damaged staircase. And knocked on the basement door. "Cotton Candy. It's safe." Twilight said. Pinkie then opened the door, allow Pinkie and the Cake family to inspect the damage. "Pinkie explained that you are called Twilight correct? My name is Carrot Cake. And this is my wife, Cup Cake." Carrot introduced. "Nice to meet you. I knew you existed for some time. However at the time, I thought that Pinkie had made an imaginary friend... again. Since we never met before. Anyways it is good to see, that you are more than that." Cup explained. "It is good to meet you, Mr and Mrs Cake. My name is Twilight... I do have a surname. But I have forgotten." Twilight introduced. "Amnesia right?" Carrot asked. "Yes. Something like that. Anyways, sorry about the damage. I can get someone to pay for it. I... Do not have that kind of money." Twilight stated. "It's fine dear. In Ponyville someones house gets destroyed every week. The mayor will make something happen. Why don't you two continue to hang out? Let the adults figure this one out." Carrot requested dismissively. "Sure. I will still see if my... caretakers. Get you some money to pay it off." Twilight said stubbornly. Cup and Carrot blinked, before laughing. "You are very similar to Pinkie. Twilight seriously, there is no need. I promise that there is no need." Carrot said while smiling. "Okay." Twilight said drooping. Pinkie then proceeded to calmly walk alongside Twilight away from the disaster zone. After a while of being quiet, she finally feels the need to ask. "Have you really decide to take on those... Tasks?" Pinkie asked worried. Twilight sighed before drooping deeper. "Yes. I had no choice. Those ponies are still after me. That group that attack us just now. Was those prison keepers." Pinkie's eyes widen, "Oh no. But why? Haven't you received enough punishment?!" she said angrily. Instead of answering, Twilight hugged Pinkie. "Don't worry. I haven't fallen into darkness entirely. I have you, among some others, to avoid such a future from happening." she said determined. Showing her first emotion truly in a long time. Pinkie smiled, "Alright. Now then, shall I introduce you to my Ponyville friends?" "Sure." Twilight said, in a monotone voice. But Pinkie could tell that Twilight was actually a bit happy right now. While walking to each location, Twilight was introduced to Ponyville itself first. As Pinkie talked and she talked about the Ponyville, its history and also some tit-bits. She did so... slowly. Which slightly shocked ponies surrounding Pinkie. Twilight noticed this, but said nothing about it. "Anyways this the apple orchard. This is were Ponyville started. In here also my friend Applejack lives. And... actually there she is!" Pinkie said slightly louder. As she points at a orange earth pony with a apple for cutie mark and sporting a wild west hat. "Applejack!" Pinkie shouted, Applejack looks up and smiled. "Pinkie whatcha doing on mah farm?. And who is this new friend of yours?" Applejack asked in a southern accent. "This is Twilight. She... is a good friend I made a long time ago. We lost contact, but she recently reappeared." Pinkie explained. Twilight merely nodded, not saying anything. "Ah see. Well Twilight it is finally good tah meetcha. I was honestly worried that mah friend had lost her marbles when she made a new friend, which we never met before." Applejack said. "I met Pinkie a long, long time ago. Before she left the rock farm." Twilight calmly stated. Applejack's eyes widen, "That is a mightly long time ago. So whatcha doing on mah farm?" "Just getting a tour of Ponyville from Pinkie. Meeting her current friends. You know the drill." Twilight simply replied. "Ah do. So where to next?" Applejack asked curious. "Fluttershy. She is the closest on the tour." Pinkie answered. "Isn't Rainbow closer though?" Applejack asked. "..." Pinkie didn't answer for a moment. Applejack saw a flash of worry cross Pinkie's face. This surprised Applejack, but she did not comment on it. "Is she a bit hyper?" Twilight asked. "Yes." Applejack and Pinkie answered without missing a beat. "Perhaps that is why." Twilight offered. "Twilight... Has a troubled past. And due to this, she has trouble dealing with certain... personalities." Pinkie stated worried. "Is that why yah all are bit more quiet than normal?" Applejack asked. "Yes." Pinkie said somewhat timid. "I see. How about this, yah all go to Fluttershy to meet her. And I go to Rainbow to warn her. Deal?" Applejack offered. "That would be great." Pinkie said, giving Applejack a humble smile. "Before I go, I have one last question." Applejack said. "Yes?" Pinkie asked. "That explosion... Did you destroy your oven again?" Applejack asked. "No. Outsiders destroyed nearly the entire frontal section of the building." Twilight answered. "Why?" Applejack as she glared at Twilight a bit. "Because of my troubled past... I am being hunted by my... abusers." Twilight quietly said. Applejack's look went from annoyed to shocked instantly. However before she could ask more, Pinkie dragged Twilight away toward Fluttershy. Applejack shook her head, before running towards Rainbow's cloud house. Twilight looked slightly worried at Applejack before walking back alongside Pinkie. Twilight meanwhile tried to take the scenery in, but everywhere she looked. Her mind constantly give her "memory recovered" warnings. It was causing her to get a bit dizzy. "And here we are. The quiet cottage where Fluttershy lives." Pinkie said. However Twilight mind began glitching. This house triggered a very powerful memory. So powerful, that Twilight stumbled a bit. Pinkie didn't notice. However someone did. Someone that had been watching Twilight since Canterlot. Pinkie knocked on the door. And not a moment later, Fluttershy opened the door. "Oh hey Pinkie." Fluttershy said, the moment she looked towards Twilight she was about to hide. Until she noticed something. "This is Twilight... And she is here-" Pinkie was about to explain only for Fluttershy to cut her off. "Your friend doesn't look very well." Fluttershy said worried. Pinkie instantly snapped towards Twilight. And Twilight chose that exact moment to faint. "Twilight!" Pinkie shouted scared. Fluttershy meanwhile kept her cool, and dragged Twilight into her humble home. Even the past will eventually catch back up. And not just the bad parts. Also... the good ones. In the bushes that overlooked Fluttershy's cottage. A strange stallion in metal armor stood. His horn lit up as he spoke using telepathy towards the unknown. "Your highness?" ??? asked. "Yes?" ??? replied confused. "I found someone matching the description of the pony you mentioned." ??? stated calmly. "But...? Surely something makes that assumption hard. It always does." ??? asked knowingly. "Yes. The pony is mostly made of parts that belong to a cyborg. However what little it has as fur, it is purple. The hair color is a match. The magic signature is close to perfect." ??? reported. "That's..." ??? said hopeful. "That is not all. According to miss Pie. She is suffering from some kind of amnesia. Induced by a troubled past." ??? explained. "It would fit the timeline. And it would make sense. But surely you have more damning proof, no?" ??? asked. "Yes. She dropped a single piece of hair during an altercation at Sugarcube corner. It tested the DNA. It's result is positive." ??? reported. "Meaning?" ??? asked excited. What ??? said next, confirmed the suspicion of ??? "Yes. She is without a single doubt. Twilight Sparkle." Author's Note And that is where I shall end this chapter. A bit of a cliffhanger, isn't it? I felt that this chapter was long enough. And I was running out of ideas. Also it seems ??? has found her finally. Who is ???...? You might ask? Well, read the next chapter to find that out!
PrologueIt's night in Canterlot, however many slum dwellers are very much awake.
