Desperate measures

"I said who are you"?
The ponies, and dragon watched the choking changeling start trying to form words, but struggled behind the death grip that he was caught up in.

"We… need your… help… our… hive is… over… run by… monsters".
Twilight didn't dare step forward, but Luna had thought otherwise, and put a hand on her husband's arm making him loosen his grip, letting the changeling talk better.

"These things arrived from… nowhere they killed many changelings, and… forced the queen to work for their leader. She sent me to receive help".
Spike's cute little voice popped out from behind everyone as the intruder was being stared at by three alicorns, and a demon.

"I don't believe that Chrysalis is too proud for that, why should we believe that you're telling the truth"?
The changeling looked at the four in front of him silently pleading for help from them.

He felt the hand let him go, and dropped him to the ground. He sat there rubbing his neck letting out a cough.
"Tell me everything you know I want any, and all information about what happened".

Everyone watched the tall man walk back to the main area Celestia, and Luna said nothing as they followed. The changeling followed them out of fear, and desperation for the sake of the hive. Twilight, and Spike walked in cautiously watching the changeling even as it took a seat on the floor in front of the man.
"Tell me what happened, and I'll decide if I should believe you, and help or if I should rip your head off of your body, so my recommendation tell the truth. I want every little detail".

The changeling gulped as he first introduced himself.
"I-I'm Thorax, one of the children of the changeling Queen Chrysalis".
He quivered under the watchful eye of the one in front of him trying to find the words to continue.

"Listen child I will make you a promise as the King of Equestria if you cooperate no harm will be brought to you".

He calmed some at the promise of no harm, and continued the tale of what happened saying everything that transpired from the initial attack all the way to the rushed journey that he had to make.
"Then this thing fought her, and won by changeling laws she lost in combat, and now no longer has the title of royalty as of this moment the thing is our king".

He looked at the demon that was watching him closely. He asked for a description of this attacker, and Thorax gave a detailed description. His face became concerned as he sat up, and reached for his glass of wine, downing the rest of it's contents. He let out a cool collected breath before speaking again.
"Tell me about your kind. I want any details I need to know about them, and before anyone asks, yes this information is very important, and it is vital I know everything I can because if who you described is who I think it is as of this moment we are at war".

Celestia, and Luna stood near each other as Thorax ran over taking Steel by the hand as they got teleported off with a flash, and a pop. Twilight, and Spike ran off to go get their friends for the important task at hand.

Canterlot castle

Celestia, Luna, Steel, and Thorax arrived in the throne room of the castle. Thorax shook off the uneasiness from the teleportation spell. Celestia, and Luna looked at each other going off to do different things. Luna asked one of her lunar guards to send a message to the rest of the guards, Celestia went off to grab other things she kept. Thorax stood in place as he saw that Steel was looking at something. He moved his head to see what he was looking at, and saw the newly added throne next to the one the sisters shared. His nervousness grew as he saw the creepy seat.

He felt the bone hand let go of his, and watched the demon walk towards the throne, and kneeled in front of it. He pushed a seemingly random bone that was followed by a click he stood up, and flipped a small hatch on the seat, then pulled out a black crown of bone fingers curling inward. He set the crown on his head, and took a seat. He looked to Thorax, and waved him forward to him Thorax took a few careful steps to him before he was picked up, and set on Steel's lap. Celestia, and Luna rushed back in with some things in their arms, then noticed their husband sitting on his throne not only with Thorax, but with his crown. His body had slowly started to fix itself to where he looked less menacing the flesh, and blood returned to his body. His old scars of war covered his face.

They both walked over, and could feel the commanding power he once held, now overflowing from him once again. Then felt a shiver down their spines almost making their legs feel weak, and bringing old flashbacks of their time on the battlefield the smell of burning bodies, and rotting corpses the dirt turned to mud by the sweat, and blood of the many creatures of the many nations. The sight of his sword raised high in the air, many Equestrian soldiers rushing to the battlefield led by the six generals with their weapons in hand. The sounds of thousands of Equestrians shouted their battle cries, and war horns blowing as he stood on a mound of bodies from those who dared come close.

Arms set flying, heads rolled, and bodies fell. His silhouette in the sky turned red like a great burning fire on the horizon from the rising sun. His rising hand came up to his face dripping with the blood of a recently fallen foe, then his tongue slithered from his mouth like a serpent, and lapped up the crimson fluid of life. He ran his hand over his face, through his hair, and turned looking at the two princesses before letting out a beastal roar. He turned, and jumped in the air as a pair of giant pair of wings spread from his body as he flew off into the battle below.

The hive

Chrysalis suddenly felt a cold powerful chill run up her spine as she heard the voice, and saw the face of who was going to save her, and the hive. She looked up at the one sitting in her throne as she sat on the floor secretly sending her thoughts, and messages to Thorax making sure she did whatever she had until they went off to Canterlot in order to rid herself of this monster.
"Thorax it pains me to say, but do whatever that is asked of you for the sake of the hive give them whatever information they want".

Canterlot

Celestia, and Luna approached slowly looking at him as his change stopped. His eye stared at them as the final parts of his body changed into something less demon like.
"Husband thou art wearing thy crown again we thought thee said thy didn't want to wear it again".

He smiled as he looked at Luna, and raised a hand up pointing to one of the guards at the main door.
"You on the right go to the kitchen, and have the chefs produce a large container of water, a glass of juice, four steaks cooked medium rare, a grilled cheese sandwich, and tomato soup have it sent here ASAP you on the left have a small team of guards have Princess Twilight, and her friends escorted here. Celestia, Luna sit with me".

The two guards saluted, and went off to do their tasks while the sisters walked up to the two thrones they pondered on where the other should sit since there was only one other free throne, and came to a conclusion that was fought in a epic battle of rock, paper, scissors Luna had won, and took her seat on Steel's lap while Thorax took a place on Celestia's.
He adjusted himself until he got comfortable, and smiled at the kindness he was being shown.

"What is it that you need done Jimmy"?
Celestia looked over to her significant others as his head turned to her.

"I want any and all belongings Tirek had on him, a blacksmith, and a list of all materials they use sent here immediately. Celestia give the writing supplies to Thorax, so he can write down what he knows, then read it over yourself confirming any, and all information to me. Luna I need you to secure a note to all guards that starting today their new training starts immediately".

All three others looked at him confused until Luna spoke up.
"Why doest thou want a forgesmith"?

He closed his eye, and sighed.
"Because we need something better than just swords, and spears".
As he said that Twilight, and her friends walked in with a small squad of lunar guards that had brought them forth. They looked a bit tired, and confused. Some of the guards were dismissed, others were sent on tasks to bring the necessary items.

The seven friends looked at each other, then back at the four in front of them slowly processing the information that had been brought on them. Twilight took the information a bit hard, and already began to write her brother, and parents a letter each. The others began getting ready to say something, but were quickly stopped by Princess Celestia.

"I know how you all must feel right now, and that this is a lot of information to process, so I recommend you all get some rest. We will have a guard escort you all to guest rooms here in the castle. Tomorrow you will all receive a briefing on the situation. Cadence, and Captain Shining armor will also be present".

Just as Celestia finished her sentence the guards that had been sent to go get something, or someone had arrived with what had been asked of them save for Tirek's eye's, and the surgeon. The blacksmith, and several guards with a locked small box, a bag, and cushion with Tirek's horn on it. The guards were asked to leave the items on the ground, and dismissed they bowed, making their leave one of them surrendered a key to Celestia before leaving. The blacksmith bowed, holding a piece of paper that had been given straight to Steel who took it, and immediately began reading it. Luna began listing off all of the things that were brought.

"We have the horn of Tirek that had been removed by you. It still is as strong, and hard as when it was removed, the magic still inside it, next is a dagger of sorts, and a ring, lastly it is a necklace of unknown origin unfortunately the guard that had first secured it had passed away it was secured using a nearby stick, and a enchanted box with several advanced magic containment spells".

When he heard about the necklace he set the paperwork from the smithy down, and set Luna on his throne taking the key from her, and opened it finding not just a necklace, but a pendant from back when he was in the war with the angels. The blacksmith bowed, and quickly rushed away to start getting to work.
Celestia let out a small yawn as she watched him, and the changeling eat. With a smile on her face seeing her husband finally connect with someone.
"Hey honey go get some sleep I know this is important, but get some rest starting tomorrow things are going to change. Celestia nodded without complaining knowing full well that wasn't a conversation she was going to win. Thorax finished his food, and left with Celestia leaving Luna, and Steel behind.

Luna looked to her husband who had finished his food, and started walking over to her after dismissing the last person that he needed to talk to, including the guards standing next to the doors letting off for the night.
