Trials of Sarah: Make Your Mark

Author's Note: This special takes place after the Journey for the Royal Family Special and may contain some spoilers as to what occurs in the previous special, but this is in honor of the new Netflix Special, so I couldn't wait to write this.

Today, we find Sarah and her whole family back in Equestria together thanks to Sarah’s Equestria Pin to visit Sunny and their Equestria friends, to see how they’ve been doing ever since they left and helped them again Team Eclipse.

“Wow, look at the Lighthouse….” Mai gawked at Sunny’s rebuild Lighthouse, which was now called the Crystal Brighthouse which was where she, Izzy, Pipp and Zipp now live together with their pokemon and the Mighty Ones.

“Amazing!” Nikki smiled in awe.

"So this is your friends Equestrian world, Island Girl?" Race questioned being an Unicorn like Tsukumaro with his skin being tanish and his mane and tail being a darker brown with a red and blue streaks in it and his pokeball sash was on his right side.

“It’s been a long while since we’ve been here.” Delilah grinned seeing the clear skies. “Everything’s is at peace again, thanks you and your family, honey.”

“Hehe…” Sarah smiled and blushed at her mothers’ praise. “Aw Mom, we didn’t do that much….”

“Now sweetheart, you and your family united the ponies against their enemy and destroyed her and her armada forever.” Doug smiled, hugging his daughter. “We couldn’t be more prouder of you.”

“Hehe…” Sarah blushed.

“Let’s go see Sunny and her friends again!” Mai giggled, leaping up and down happily.

Chuckling, the family headed into Maretime Bay which was now home to all three ponykinds, Pokemon and Dragons just like Zephyr Heights and Bridlewood now. They found Sunny and her friends doing a livestream with Pipp’s phone in the middle of Main Street.

“Hey everypony, I live here in Maretime Bay with my friends. A lot has changed here in the past few months since Sarah and her family came. Earth Ponies used to stay in Maretime Bay just like how Unicorns always stayed in Bridlewood and Pegasi never left Zephyr Heights, but when Sarah and her family came here and helped bring together the Equestria Crystals and defeat Scarlet Nightmare and her forces it brought us back together! All Ponykinds were reunited in friendship. Now anypony can live anywhere.” Sunny smiled.

“And we have Magic, Pokemon and Dragons again, having returned from the PokeDragon Isles! Eeehehe!” Sunny giggled before a Pegasi flew by and accidentally knocked the fruit bag onto the ground which Izzy levitated the fruit. “Well the unicorns and pegasi have magic.” she giggled before dropping on onto her horn. “Ta-da. Now you Sunny, show everypony what you can do.”

The camera turned back onto Sunny, “Yeah turn into an Alicorn. Eee! That’s an Earth Pony, Pegasus and Unicorn all in one.”

“So like me and my family then?” a voice came before the Mane Five and the camera turned and saw Sarah and her family back in Equestria.

“Eee! Sarah! You’re back!” Sunny smiled hugging her best friend. “And you brought your whole family!”

Doug and Deliah's pony forms were Alicorns like Sarah with the same fur color but Doug's wings feathers were golden yellow while Deliah's was purple-blue. Doug's mane and tail were black with a yellow streak in the middle while Deliah's mane and tail were light blue with a dark purple streak in the center. The pair clothing changed to match their new appearance but they had pins of Nebby and Nebula on them.

David and Donna’s Alicorn forms held their skin color while holding their clothing too with David having pure golden streaks in his mane and tail and Donna have small gems in her mane and tail.

“Hehe, well magic powers or not. I think everypony can agree our lives are much better now that we’re together again.” Sunny smiled.

“You know it~" Pipp sang. “Okay Sunny, do the thing.”

Sunny smiled. “Do you like super fun times, do you like learning more about Earth Pony traditions and tasting local treats? Do you wanna see ponies perform in a big concert?”

“Yes, you bet and yes!” Izzy smiled before making sound noises happily.

“Then you should come to our annual Maretime Bay Day festival for a day of fun in the sunshine. It’s gonna be a blast and I’m not just talking about the fireworks show. Hehehe, all pony kinds, Pokemon and Dragons are welcome!”

“Maretime Bay Festival? Sounds like fun.” Keldeo smiled.

“Can we go Mama? Please Please?” Nebby and Nebula questioned with the puppy dog eyes.

Sarah chuckled at her two babies, “Okay, okay no need for the puppy dog eyes, we can go.” she replied rubbing the pair on their heads.

“Yeah/Yeah/Yeah!” Her family cheered happily before hearing Pipp’s horror gasp and, “Catch my phone!”

Turns out a seagull overheard Hitch talking about the events and foods at the carnival and flew overhead to see the carmel popcorn emojis on Pipp’s phone which it decided to take, thinking they were real.

Either way, the group chased the little bird through out and to the outskirts where the seagull dropped and Izzy tried to to get it with her magic but her magic went in and out for some reason, catching Sarah’s attention before she managed to stabilize it as she tripped over and rock and slid into some flowers and a mailbox.

“I got it!” she called as her friends chuckled and Izzy blew leaves out of her face. “Oh look its still on.” Izzy levitated Pipp’s phone back to her.

“See you at the festival.” Pipp smiled before ending the livestream.

“You okay Izzy?” Sunny asked.

“Oh yeah, oh yeah. You know a little bit of ground glitter never hurt anypony.” Izzy smiled.

“Ground glitter…..their leaves and flowers…” Sho frowned confused with a yellow question mark on the side of her.

“Izzy’s a very…unique unicorn, Sho..” Sarah replied sheepishly. “But she’s optimistic so, just go along with her, okay?”

“Okay.” Sho smiled.

“Well thank hoofness for magic.” Sunny smiled.

“Oh yeah.”

“Definitely.”

“For sure.” Izzy, Pipp and Zipp agreed with their friend.

“Well I for one do not agree.” a voice came before the group saw a yellow earth pony with light brown hooves. She hasd a pink tail tied in a green bow, and similarly a pink mane tied back in a ponytail with a green bow. Her eyes were green and she wears a beaded necklace with a five-leafed clover. Her Cutie Mark was a ring of six pink tulips with green stems.

“Is this one of your flowers Posey. Sorry, we’ll fix it right away.” Sunny apologized.

“No what I meant was I wish that magic, Pokemon and Dragons had never come back. And I’m not the only pony around here who thinks so.” Posey frowned.

“Say what now?” Liberty questioned.

“What do you mean?”

“You Pegasi and Dragons are always flying too fast, or too low or too high up.”

“What’s wrong with flying high up?” Nikki deadpanned.

“Ugh! I just don’t like it okay!” Posey growled before turning to Tsukumaro and Izzy. “And everytime I’m at the market there’s some smug Unicorn and their pokemon trying to shop. I almost got hit in the head by a bag of floating apples yesterday. Magic is not very safe especially for those ponies who don’t have it.”

Posey went over to Hitch and James, “Right Sheriff Hitch and you?”

“Uh….I don’t know if I would say that…” Hitch trailed.

“Uh…..actually. I…do have magic.” James admitted. “I can understand plant and animals..hehe.”

“What?!” Posey exclaimed and growled, earning a squeak from James who hid behind Terrakion. Posey continued turning towards Sarah, her real parents and grandparents “And Alicorns haven’t been seen for moons so why are these five suddenly back and they don't have cutie marks either?”

Her last comment, made Sarah and her family look at their right flanks and realize they really didn't have cutie marks like Sunny and the others, which they never noticed before, given their mission by Zekrom.

“Hey, don’t be a meanie to Mama Sarah and her family.” Tyrunt frowned.

“Have you gotten my Mother’s birth parents are your greatest allies.” Tyrantrum added.

“You should be grateful to them for getting rid of that she-witch Scarlet Nightmare and her pasi of Shadow Pokemon Dragons or else things would be drastically different for you puny ponies.” Eternatus growled.

Posey scoffed at the Gigantic Pokemon, “Everyponys’ still learning how to use it. Magic takes practice.” Sunny reassured the disdain Earth Pony.

Posey scoffed as she walked towards her house, “Then they should do it somewhere else other than my garden.” then she slammed the door harshly.

“Okay wow, she was really nice right guys?” Izzy asked, earning eye rolls from the group.

“More like buzzkill and instigator.” Zoura quipped.

“I agree, especially saying Magic, Pokemon and Dragons shouldn’t have returned.” Arriety. “If you haven’t brought them together this Scarlet Nightmare she-witch would be ruling all of Equestria.”

“Let’s leave before she chews us out again for no reason.” Danielle suggested and the group took their leave as Izzy fixed Posey’s garden and mailbox. Sunny stayed behind for a bit to see Posey moving the blinds in front of her windows.

“Don’t worry Posey. I’m gonna show you and everypony just how amazing Magic can be.” Sunny vowed before joining her friends.
