Author's Note

Hey guys!

Yeah. I've been working on ideas that popped into my head for a while now, and the decision I've made is to rewrite this from scratch, both for writing reasons and for plot reasons as I thought things were going quite well. ... Fast, that is, I'm working more on new ideas and keeping a calm pace of the thing.

Honestly, I was surprised by the number of likes I received and I can say that I am grateful to all of you, even the dislikes, they all matter. Your comments on the chapters motivated me, even more, to continue writing this story, because I believe that for a story to work well, the writer and reader must be connected for this to happen.

Thank you to everyone who has had the patience to wait this far, you guys are awesome! Let's start!

Prologue

At the beginning of time, there was nothing but darkness. Then like magic, a gigantic orb of fire suddenly appeared in the middle of the darkness. From within this sphere, a four-legged creature emerged.

He had a shining white coat, and his flowing mane was a pure fire burning in smoldering embers, as were his flaming eyes. On his back, two pairs of huge wings protruded and he was equipped with golden armor. His name was Sun.

Sun looked around curiously. There was nothing but darkness where he was. He then turned his attention to the large fireball behind him. Sun smiled when he saw her. She was magnificent.

His moment of appreciation was cut short when he heard a screeching sound behind him, causing him to turn around only to be startled by what he saw.

A few seconds ago there was nothing, but now, a strange-looking but beautiful white thing suddenly appeared. From inside the big white thing, another four-legged creature emerged.

She had a dark blue coat almost like night, her mane was wavy and partially translucent and glowed a purer dark blue. Her eyes were white with no pupils, on her back she also had wings, and like Sun, she was also equipped with armor, only silver. Her name was Moon.

Moon opened his eyes and found himself in front of a huge glowing white sphere. She was beautiful. Her moment of appreciation was shattered when she heard the sounds of approaching footsteps, causing her to turn around to be in for a surprise.

In front of her was a true celestial deity. Behind him, a large orb glowed with flames.

She looked into his flaming eyes and walked over.

Sun, who was still stunned by what he had just seen, didn't know what step to take.

He froze, watching the other creature approach him, looking curious. She then stopped in front of him. The two locked gazes seemed to last for hours, just absorbing each other's details.

Then they grinned at each other, sharing a hoof-shake. They will almost instantly feel a brotherly bond between them, like brothers.

They were then interrupted by more bangs, causing them to turn toward the source of the sound in surprise.

In front of them, four other creatures also quadrupeds appeared each one representing something different.

Earth
Water
Life
Death

Everyone looked at each other with curiosity and turned to the void of darkness in which they found themselves.

Then everyone would form a plan. Create the universe.

Millennia of years ago, God Sun, along with Godness Moon, ruled the world they named Equestria with the help of their other brothers, having worship as retribution from the mortals who inhabited their world, who considered them as Gods. Each one has its proper function.

Necro: God of Death and the Underworld. Responsible for the realm where the dead go.

Psiquê: Goddess of life and peace. Responsible for giving life and bringing universal balance together with Necro.

Gaia: Goddess of earth and trees. Responsible for covering the world in a thick brown and green carpet over the earth.

Poseidon: God of the seas. Responsible for the seas and the commands of waves and sea storms.

Together, they all ruled the universe in peace for years and years, until one day that peace ended...

God Sun, on another day of important duties, received a visit from a being... different. This creature that walked on two legs was the strangest and at the same time fascinating thing that Sun had seen in all his years of existence. Instead of fur covering his body and feathery wings, they were replaced with impenetrable black scales like snakes, on his head where his mane should have been, it was replaced with two strong spikes that looked like horns on his head under his hat that he wore. He carried a wooden staff with a bright emerald crystal attached to the top. But what most intrigued Sun was his single glowing eye, seeming to carry a lot of power and wisdom.

The black dragon, dressed in a blue cape and with a wide-brimmed hat whose name was unknown, told him that there were different species of beings like him in other distant lands of Equestria, where the creatures known as dragons inhabited. He then wanted a peace treaty with Sun, to together maintain balance and peace in the world between species. An alliance.

But his other brothers did not agree with this alliance and said that the unknown dragon could not be trusted. Sun thought about it but didn't care about the opinion of his brothers, because in the end, the dragon and he wanted the same thing: Peace and balance. But of course in the end this was a tremendously wrong decision that in the end cost a lot. The previously friendly dragon turned on Sun and demanded that he give up all of his knowledge and power. Sun, of course, denied his request and so the two fought a deadly battle, which in the end resulted in the death of Sun who was killed and devoured by the black dragon that received Sun's divine powers.

However, his reign of power did not last long, as soon after the death of Sun, the dragon that was already exhausted by the battle against the prince of the Sun, was easily defeated by the brothers and sisters gods of Sun, who with the power of harmony, defeated the dragon and regained for them the powers of their fallen brother Sun.

The defeated black dragon swore revenge on powerful alicorns and disappeared in a cloud of black smoke and was never seen again.

After that, the brothers somewhat shaken by their brother's death would go on with their ways of ruling life and future generations. They later had successors, who became recognized as The Pillars of Old Equestria. Mighty heroes who kept peace and harmony in Equestria for years until the day of their sacrifices. Little did they know that later, the black dragon was silently preparing to attack Equestria with its entire army of powerful dragons... Dragons that later became known as:

Celestial Dragons.

[700 years after Nightmare Moon]

A dragoness with purple scales carried in her claws a small purple egg with darker purple spots, away from the genocide that was being caused against her people.

The dragoness headed for a cave, hidden in a part of the immense forest where she was.

She looked down at the purple egg in her hands and sighed.

"My little dragon, I'm sorry." She whispered letting a tear of pain run down her face.

"You will be safe here." She murmured. The sounds of approaching hooves sent her into a panic.

"Search everywhere, she's here!" A royal voice exhaled with authority, followed by 'Yes ma'am' from her servants.

"Oh no! I need to be quick!" The dragon gasped, gripping the egg in her hands more tightly. Without further ado, she placed the egg in a small basket and hid it deeper in the immense dark cavern.

"Goodbye, my baby." She cried kissing the surface of the eggshell one last time.

Turning and leaving the cave, she flew and breathed a torrent of fire into the sky, attracting the attention of the royal guards who left in her direction, leaving behind a cave with a dragon's egg.
