The Great War had ended, both sides of the war were pushed to their limits, and with little to no other option available, one side used the megaspells. Explosions shook the world as many of the poneis and species were pushed back into a dark age. Equestria was one of the most major nations to fall. Once thought to be the place of harmony and friendship, now brought pain and suffering. The elements have gone missing, the element bearers had aided in the destruction of the world and of friendship and Canterlot fell with the Princesses. The stables that made promises to protect those that needed it were only experiments for unsuspecting ponies to fall into. Many died within the stables as very few actually enjoyed their lives. In the wastelands ponies grew to learn how to survive as a new bloody chapter of pony kind opened. It has been 200 years since the megaspells, the old world though forgotten still leaves its marks in the present and though new horrors await the ponies, there is bound to be a new hope.

Authors Note: This story is not canon to any timeline other than its own. The story is actually based off of a Tabletop Roleplaying game that me and my friends played. A project was started around September of 2021 and I am proud to see where the project has gone and where it will soon go in the future. The handbook we used is called Tails of the Equestrian Wastelands. The main characters of the story will be Original Characters, for the players that wished not to have their character within the story I have changed the character enough to continue the story but add the actions they did within it. This story will derail the original story by KKat so don’t get too hopeful to see old fan favorites which you might see.
