Sunset Shimmer, a young squire, becomes so much more than what destiny had planned. Is she truly a knight? Is she more than the peasant she was born as?

Sunset Shimmer takes the mantle of her old master Sir Sunburst Starwatcher in a fit of desperation. Now, having had a taste of the glory and victory that has so long been out of reach, she throws herself into a delicate balance between fighting her way to riches and the noose that awaits if she is discovered.

And the lie she and her friends are trying to keep is getting harder and harder to maintain. Oh, and of course, there's the maiden fair who seems determined to get the truth of the matter.
