It took me long enough, but here it is.
Please read the prequel first if you haven't, but don't expect it to make much sense even if you have.
Chapter 1
You are Anonymous, and you are currently attending one of Pinkie Pie's many parties.
Of course, being mostly an introvert, you didn't want to be there, but the pink mare can be really convincing when she wants to.
So here you are, sitting on a tiny chair in a corner next to your new-ish roommate, whose name you have yet to even ask for. Being called 'cute little pony' seems to work just fine with her. In fact, it more than works, she absolutely adores it, and you're starting to suspect it does 'things' to her. But perhaps you're reading too much into it, for all you know it could simply be a pony thing, you don't really know much about how their biology and body language work. So far as you can tell, they're pretty close to how humans function for the most part, but they do have their quirks.
You shift slightly on your chair, exchanging a look with your recently acquired colorful horse friend. The two of you are sitting some distance away from the relatively small crowd of dancing and talking ponies, and while you would join them just for the hell of it, you have no idea how to dance. It's not like ponies would know what human dancing looks like, but you're not gonna risk making a fool out of yourself. You already do that inadvertently often enough.
"You know Anon," the demure little pony begins, "I could teach you how to fish."
"Huh? You know how to fish?"
"Of course, I told you I love eating fish. You don't imagine it's an easy thing to get your hooves on around here, do you? If you want some, you sort of have to get it yourself."
That's another reason why you like her. As shy and quiet as she tends to be, her mind and attitude are also a lot darker than that of most ponies. The idea of killing an animal and eating it doesn't faze her, she didn't even mind learning that you were a meat eater. She even implied that maybe one day she would try it too.
"You could do that I guess, I wouldn't say no. That way I wouldn't have to get some from Fluttershy..."
She grins. "Getting some from Fluttershy, eh?"
"Oh God, please don't remind me," you grimace, "seriously, don't. The less I interact with that mare the better, hell, the less I even remember that she exists, the better."
"So you weren't exaggerating then, she really did try to sexually assault you, huh?"
"Yeah, she did. Well, more like, she asked aggressively for it. Very aggressively. Like, I'm backed up against a wall with a hoof cupping my nuts while she's using her stare thing on me kind of aggressively," you take a sip of your barely alcoholic cider and shake your head, "I'm so lucky Discord decided to teleport in the room at that very moment."
"If he didn't do it on purpose," she points out, "which he very well could have."
"Good point," you reply as you get up, "come on, let's bounce. We've been here for an hour or so, we can safely claim that we attended the party and Pinkie's another mare I'd rather stay away from anyway."
"She's nowhere in sight though," she says as she looks around, "but then it's Pinkie, according to what you told me, she could literally pop out of your glass in a burst of confetti right now."
"Not only she could, but she absolutely would. That mare breaks the laws of physics on a daily basis, and she's fucking weird anyway. I mean, who the hell throws a 'thank you for finding my sex toy' party? Especially when I somehow found it under my bed?"
You begin to walk towards the entrance as the adorable little mare follows, holding your hand with one of her front hooves as you pass near the crowd. You assume it must be weird to walk on three hooves, but she doesn't appear to have any problem with it. It's not the first time she does it, either.
"Anon?" she asks as you exit Sugarcube Corner, "I wanted to thank you once again for taking me in and taking care of me. You know, I don't think there's another stallion in all of Ponyville who would have done what you did."
"I'm sure some would have, sweetie. All I did was accept you as a roommate and as a friend, you know? Many ponies have roommates and I'm sure most of them get along nicely. And I never heard of a single pony not having friends."
"Except for me," she mutters almost inaudibly.
"Except for you?" you stop and frown. "What, you don't think of me as a friend?"
"O-oh," she stammers, "of course I do, I meant me from, uh, a few days ago..." she replies as she stares blankly into the distance.
"Anyway, I need to drop by the hospital. You wanna come with me, or you'd rather go home and wait for me?"
"I think I'll go home, Anon."
"You know I wouldn't let him hurt either of us though, right? Especially in his current state, I don't think he could even if we let him."
"It's not that, I just don't want to ever see that stallion ever again. You know, like you with Fluttershy?"
"It's okay," you smile as you ruffle her mane, "you know where the keys are, right? I'll be there in half an hour or so, all right?"
"Thank you for understanding, Anon. I'm so lucky we met."
"So am I. I'll see you in a bit, sweetheart."
"Morning."
"Huh?"
"My name is Morning Glory."
"Oh," you raise an eyebrow. "All right then, see you in a bit, Morning."
"Can you please keep calling me sweetie and all those little names, though? You know I love it when you do."
"I know."
The two of you part ways as you begin the fairly short trek to the hospital.
Yeah, two days ago, you went to Rarity's boutique to get the clothes Morning commissioned from the white fashionista. She decided that if she was going to live with you, she might as well 'partake in your strange human rituals', which apparently include wearing a green-ish sweater. And sometimes using 'human words'.
And when you came back, the door had been kicked (well, bucked) off its hinges, and that same stallion from the day you met Morning was pinning her against the kitchen counter, holding a knife to her throat with his mouth. He apparently hadn't had the time to do anything to her yet, and you weren't too sure what he was trying to do (you could hazard a guess though), but as soon as he saw you he dropped the knife and started running. Unfortunately for him, you were standing in front of his only escape route, so he zoomed towards you, probably attempting to literally knock you out of his way or something.
But again, unfortunately for him, ponies are extremely light and you're definitely not. You took a full strength head smash to the stomach and barely reacted, but he was knocked out cold. You then looked at the shivering little mare, crying on the kitchen floor, and something snapped inside you.
That's when you began to go full white knight on the downed stallion, kicking the everloving shit out of him and repeatedly stomping on one of his legs until you heard the sound of bones breaking. You didn't know if in this world, they put horses down when they have a broken leg, but you didn't care. All you wanted was to hurt him, and make sure he couldn't attack Morning anymore.
You then literally grabbed him by his one good leg and dragged his unconscious body all the way to the hospital, Morning following next to you and holding your other hand as she softly cried and muttered things to herself. You then dropped the broken stallion on the floor in front of the receptionist, briefly explaining that you and he got into a fight after he broke into your house and tried to kill your roommate. You're pretty sure killing her isn't what he had in mind, but he did have a knife pointed at her, after all.
That's why she's not currently with you, but you have to do this nonetheless. There's some legal crap that needs to be sorted out, you're not sure why that has to take place at the hospital, but why not.
You're also not sure that it's going to work without Morning being present, but you'll bring her if you have to. She'll understand, she never struck you as being particularly smart, but she's not stupid either.
You are Morning Glory, and this house feels so empty without your roommate being present. And so do you.
You know it's only been a week, but you're starting to-
"Hey, Morning! I'm back," you hear from behind the closed door, "can you open the door please?"
"Anon? Is it you?"
"Hold on, let me check. Let's see, bipedal, check. Handsome, check. Humongous dick, check. Yep, it's me all right."
You roll your eyes. He can be so immature at times. He's much older than you, and yet when the two of you are together, it feels like you are the adult in the room.
"Well, keep your thingy inside your sheath and come in. The door's unlocked."
"Oh," he says in a surprised tone as he pushes the door open, "you know you should keep it locked though, right?"
"Don't worry Anon, half the town probably knows about it by now. I don't think there'll be another pony stupid enough to try anything after what you did to him."
"Maybe not," he replies, "that cunt must have been one of a kind anyway, I've been here for about a month and I had never heard of anyone committing any crime, ever."
"It's rare but it happens," you go and open the fridge, "you want a drink?"
"Sure thing, get me a milk please."
"Coming up," you rummage inside the fridge before pulling out two little cartons of milk. You've always liked that stuff, though you hadn't expected Anon to enjoy it too.
"By the way," he says as you give him his drink, "humans don't have sheathes. Our dicks are always kinda hanging out."
"Really?" you raise a confused eyebrow.
"Yeah, that's part of the reason why we wear pants. Same for women, since all humans are bipedal and don't have tails, you know?"
"Oh," you attempt to stand up, realizing how weird it must be to always be exposed like that. "Why is that?"
"I don't know? Evolution and stuff, I guess. I'm not exactly an expert on the subject."
You're starting to wonder how humans mate. Do they do it standing up? Surely they don't have an estrus season or anything like that, they must always be ready to go.
"So uh, I don't suppose humans go into heat or anything like that, right? You're always ready to, hum..." you trail off, looking away in embarrassment.
"Yup," he gets up, grabs his crotch and begins to walk backwards while somehow appearing to be walking forward, "though men have to get hard and women have to get wet first."
"Human sexuality must be really strange," you ponder, starting to feel a bit uneasy. You're talking about sex with the human you've been kinda developing a crush on.
"Well, the Internet certainly convinced me of that," he chuckles, "but uh, when I found you, what you were doing... that must mean ponies are also always ready to go, right?"
"Some are," you say, "it's not exactly common but not unheard of for ponies to mate outside of season. You know, just for fun."
"Yeah, I guess that makes sense."
"I suppose humans always do it for fun, don't they?"
"Mostly. I mean, apart from those who feel like needlessly adding to the overpopulation instead of helping one of the millions of kids rotting in orphanages wishing they could have a family, yeah we do."
Right, human world. He told you about some of the stuff that goes on back on 'Earth', and it made you very glad that you live in Equestria. According to him, what happened to you with that stallion happens literally all the time back there.
"By the way Anon, how did it go at the hospital? Are you gonna get into trouble?"
"Nah, it's all good. From what they told me, it's not the first time that asshole pulls something like this. But they're gonna need to speak to you at some point, to make sure that as soon as he gets out of the hospital, he goes directly to jail without passing go or collecting 200 bits."
You ignore his last words, he often says random stuff like that, words that individually have a meaning but don't make any sense when put together. Or something.
"Say Anon, do you think we could cuddle on the couch and have a nap?" you ask, hoping he'll say yes. But then he always says yes when cuddles are involved, though you wish it could mean the same to him as it does to you.
"It's gonna be night soon," he points at the window, the slowly setting sun bathing the land in beautiful colors, "you wanna retire early and go snuggle in bed?"
"Yeah!" you beam at him with maybe a little too much enthusiasm. You've been sleeping in his bed with him every single day for the past week, and it's been amazing. He's so warm and cuddly... but he's never attempted to touch you. He always keeps his hands away from your private areas and even your flanks, and he never tried to make a move. You suppose he was telling the truth when he said he didn't bring you home with him 'for that', and while you were glad to hear that back then, now you're starting to reconsider.
Especially after that little talk you two just had.
You look at Anon, who's still looking at the window. "I told you it was bullshit by the way, if Princess 'I'd marry a cake and fuck it if I could' Celestia truly controlled the Sun, the thing wouldn't be slowly setting over an hour or so."
"You really believe that she's secretly a tyrant?"
"Of course, she may not rule with fear but she has to control the masses somehow, you know? This whole raising the Sun and the Moon shit is nothing but totalitarian propaganda designed purely to keep the man down. That's all."
"Um, okay? If you say so," you begin to walk towards the stairs. You hope he starts making sense soon because that sounded like utter gibberish to you.
As you make your way up to the second floor, an idea strikes you.
"Say Anon, you wanna take a bath with me?"
"A bath, huh? I'm gonna be honest, I don't really feel like it tonight. Plus, we're both mostly clean."
Right, he doesn't even consider that you could mean it as a way to spend intimate time together. And he's right, you're both clean.
"Can you at least brush my teeth?" you press on, hoping that at least he'll do that, even if he sees it as just helping you. After all, he never understands how you can hold things with hooves.
"Uh," he begins, before letting out a long sigh, "all right, lead the way."
You are Anon, and life isn't that great after all.
That adorable little mare you've been falling for ever since the two of you met has been behaving strangely today. Cracking more jokes than usual, asking you about human sexuality, and now asking you to brush her teeth? Clearly she doesn't mean anything by it, but you really wish she would.
For a few days now, it's been almost painful to hold her at night, due to knowing that she sees you as her friend and protector rather than... urgh. You shake your head, trying to dispel those unwanted thoughts.
it doesn't work
No matter what you feel, you can't start acting weird in front of Morning Glory. Sure you always act weird, but that's a different kind of weird.
You follow her into the bathroom, frowning internally as she stands on her back legs, putting her front hooves on the sink for support and staring at her reflection in the mirror. You have to admit you're very, very glad you managed to convince her that she was beautiful. Her self-esteem is growing a little more every day.
Anyway, brushie time. Let's grab a phallic object, stick it in the mouth of an innocent virgin girl who looks like she might not even be an adult yet, and thrust back and forth until white stuff comes out.
What could possibly go wrong?
Well, that was an awkward moment. It didn't even feel intimate or anything to you, it was just weird. She's a horse, so the different shape and size of her mouth and teeth made it a little tricky. And awkward.
At least now you'll get to cuddle. Even if it sort of hurts to know she's not going to return your feelings (and probably isn't even aware of them), you'll still get to share your bed with a mare and hold her gently through the night. That feel when you've been here long enough to naturally refer to her as a mare, rather than as a girl.
You exit the bathroom as you catch a glimpse of Morning entering your room, before you hear the familiar sound of her body dropping on the soft mattress.

"Anon?" she calls out as you enter the room as well, "can I ask you something?"
"You just did, but sure, fire away."
"I kinda want to, uh, try something new?"
You feel a shitty meme coming to mind, but this time you manage to suppress it. Things have been awkward enough tonight without you sperging out.
"Uh, sure I guess?"
"Come here," she says with determination as she pats your empty side of the bed, "I'll show you."
You slip under the covers with her, and she turns away from you.
"Can you snuggle me from behind?"
"You want me to spoon you?"
"To what?" she turns her head to look at you.
"What you're asking me to do, it's called spooning."
"Oh... then yes, I want you to spoon me."
You get in position and wrap an arm around her barrel to bring her closer to you, though not without accidentally brushing against a nipple. You mentally slap yourself, why are you such a clumsy fuck?
"Hmm," she hums in pleasure as her back presses against your chest, "yes... just like that..." she moans.
Goddammit, she's not helping.
Screw it, you decide to plunge your nose into her mane and inhale deeply. Now almost half a day since she last showered, she smells so good. It's her scent, not that of whatever shitty soap you bought for her.
You always loved it. You wonder how she smells down there... no, god fucking dammit, don't go there. Be strong and don't fantasize about eating out a cartoon horse, don't let your thoughts control you.
A few minutes later, it becomes apparent that while your thoughts don't have absolute power over you, they do have full control over your dick. You try to shift slightly, adjusting your body so that she doesn't-
You freeze when Morning lets out a sudden gasp.
"Anon? Is that your, uh... against my flank?"
"Uh... it's, uh," you stammer as you try to find something relevant to say, "I... I'm sorry Morning, I'll go sleep on the couch, all right?"
"No! Please don't Anon, I told you I don't ever want to sleep alone again. It's okay, I know you don't mean anything by it, it's uh, a natural thing, right? For humans?"
"Right," you reply uneasily, your embarrassment reaching critical mass, "I'm sorry Morning."
"It's okay. Plus, you're with me, I mean, with a mare like me? It's not like you, uh..."
"Morning?"
"It's nothing Anon, I'm sort of delirious because I'm so tired. Let's sleep, okay?"
"Okay."
Well, 'let's sleep', she says that as though you were going to be able to. You're angry at your own body, randomly popping a boner like that? What are you, some horny teenager with runaway hormones?
Sure, it wasn't exactly random and that's exactly what you are, aside from the teenager part, but still.
You do everything in your power to will your dick back into a flaccid state, but Morning grabbing your hand with a hoof and bringing it down lower on her belly isn't helping. She places it right above her teats and keeps her hoof on it to hold it in place.
You're no Nightmare Moon but you already know this is gonna be a long ass night.
