Ramblings of the Elements
Friendship is Magic parts 1+2
Twilight walked into the Golden Oaks, her new place of residence, and placed her element onto the table, not noticing the soft glow it was giving off as it reached for the others.

Magic appeared in the room which had served as a meeting area for the Elements in the past, signaling for the other elements to join them in the after action meeting.
Loyalty was second to appear, showing themself with an aura of satisfaction and annoyance at the same time. “What was all that for?” Loyalty did the Element equivalent of blinking for a few seconds, “Huh. Seems like some of our bearer’s personality traits have afflicted us. I hope it’s temporary because I’d prefer to not be lazy.”
Generosity appeared next, “Oh I assure you, the laziness was there before.” Generosity, as well, paused for a moment before continuing, “Though I must agree with you on this, the strange compulsion to argue with you, I could do without.”
Kindness next showed up, closely followed by Laughter and Honesty. Magic took that moment to speak up, “Okay everyelement, I feel as if we should go over what exactly happened with Luna.”
Loyalty spoke up, “Yeah, like how we could have done something earlier if we didn’t leave Equestria!” Generosity turned light blue. “I mean, that ban on laughter didn’t even last a month before she realized what she did! And just a few decades ago the Griffon kingdom fell! We could have been doing something in that time we were dormant!” Generosity’s hue deepened. “So many problems could have been prevented if we didn’t-“
Kindness put their full attention on Loyalty, “Hey! Look, we know you’re mad about that, but at the time I truly did feel there was no better option. And hey, in the time we were helping other countries, we managed to preserve a few to potentially help Equestria in the future! We helped the Hippogriffs escape by aiding them with their species-wide spell!”
“Yeah, as if that will help us in the future.” Loyalty replied sarcasticly.
“All I’m asking is that you keep an open mind. We are not the sole defenders of Equestria. Once those six realize they don’t need us to use our power, we can expand our horizons a bit.”
“And who know how long THAT will be?!”
Laughter took that moment to speak up, “64 episodes.” Laughter, like the others, paused. “Does my bearer do that? Why did I just say an arbitrary number? Ah forget it. Loyalty, let me ask you something. What does Equestria stand for?”
“Friendship. That’s easy.”
“And who are they friends with?”
Loyalty scoffed, “Well, themselves, obviously.”
“Anyone else?”
Loyalty took a minute to think about their response, “I see where this is going. You know that’s not how I feel about this.”
“I am aware, however, that’s what WE feel about it. Friends of Equestria should be protected as much as Equestria itself. Don’t you think we should be loyal to our allies as well?”
Loyalty was silent for a while, “Fine. I still think we should have done something.”
Laughter’s hue turned yellow, “Oh I entirely agree, but there nothing to be done now.”
Honesty took this time to speak up, “Now that Loyalty had their existential crisis,” said Element yelling “Hey!” in the background could be heard, “what exactly is our plan moving forward?”
Magic thought for a moment before proposing something, “The Crystal Empire should be showing itself soon and Sombra will be likely to return. If there are no major disasters between them and now, I say we go back to what we did before.”
Loyalty snickered, “Now you’ve jinxed it.”
Magic took on a neutral hue, “You are an Element. We’re the ones that jinx. We can’t get jinxed.”
“We’ll see, heh.”
Magic sighed, “In any case, is that fine with everyelement?”
A resounding yes echoed throughout the chamber.
Generosity took on a grey hue, “Hey, uh, do we feel closer? I feel like you all are right next to me.”
Loyalty felt around the real world for a minute, “Oh, huh. So we do. I thought the ponies went home.”
Magic was next to be confused, “No, they did. What could…” Magic took a look at the real world for a minute. “Wait, WHAT?”
Honesty hovered closer to Magic, “What is it?”
“She just- I- Are you kidding me?! I thought she learned!”
“Who? What?”

Twilight woke up to the sound of knocking. Attempting to smother her ears to death, she pulled the blanket up to cover her head. The knocking repeated and she groaned, “Who is it?”
“Oh, no one, just a simple old mare.” The sound of Princess Celestia’s voice echoed through the door. Twilight was no longer in bed and was instead at the front door, readying herself to host the Princess. With a swing of the door, Twilight smiled and bowed.
“Princess.”
“Twilight Sparkle, you need not be so formal at every instance. I only came to retrieve the elements so that I may protect them. That doesn’t require groveling.” She said with a smile.
“S-sorry Princess.”
“It is alright my dear student. I’m afraid I must make this quick so that I may raise the sun on time. Do you have your element on you?”
Twilight looked to her kitchen, “Yes, I do. Would you like me to go get it?”
Princess Celestia shook her head, “No need, Twilight. I shall grab it and teleport back to Canterlot. Thank you very much.” With that, she walked into the kitchen and disappeared with the element in tow.
Twilight yawned and remembered what time it was. Realizing she wasn’t going to get any more sleep, she elected to make some coffee and read through more of the library’s catalogue.

Celestia came to a massive vault along with Luna. “Sister, what exactly art thou planning on doing with the elements? I would have thought thoust leave them with the Bearers.”
Celestia showed a sad smile, “I want them to learn how to take care of themselves without the use of a magical artifact guiding their every step.”
“So instead of an artifact, thou wants a pony who can eat cakes three times her size?”
Celestia blushed, “Kind of. I fear that if they use the elements for everything, they will not be prepared for the life ahead of them as bearers.”

Loyalty looked over to Honesty, "Well?"
"Well what?"
"Is she telling the truth or not?"
Honesty pondered this, "She's hiding something, but she is being honest with her intentions."
"So watch her?"
"Watch her."
Magic stopped the connection, "Well, since we're going to be here for a bit... anyelement have cards?"
