When we had nothing else, we had each other. Amongst the hope that one of us could push on from the ashes and carry on our short lived legacy, we continued to move forward. My daughter, and the few items we escaped with, became the last links to the world we once held near and dear. Peer into our lives, and how we are given a second chance in a world that isn't our own.
