“Thank you, have a good night” I tell the restaurant employee. I walk out the door and head to my car with my DoorDash order. The night is beautiful, I must say..
I get in my car, and start my way to the customers house. It’s a 20 minute drive from the restaurant, which is perfect because I love cruising late at night with the windows down.
I finally make it to the customer’s house. The drive was pleasant, not much traffic and I had the music turned up. I do the usual. Grab the food, stumble out of the car, and proceed to drop it off at their door step. I try to be quick so I don’t have to talk to people. Most of the time I like to stay to myself. As I take a picture of the food, I see a bright white flash appear behind me. At first, I thought maybe something exploded, but I don’t hear a bang. Lightning I thought? No clouds in the sky. Huh, weird.. The thought of Luna crosses my mind, but I quickly dismiss that thought to avoid any disappointment incase she isn’t there. I get in my car to carry on my night, till I see something behind me..
“Luna!!”
Luna: “Hi Jesse! I made a promise, remember?”
“Holy crap… you’re here!!”
Luna: “Yes, I have made it!! We got to go somewhere safe though, where we can not be spotted.”
“Uhhh, um, okay let me think..”
At this point I don’t know what to feel.. this, painfully strong emotion hits me again, just like the first time we met.
Luna is sitting in the back of my car, with what looks to be a huge smile on her face.
Luna: “I see, you have a picture of me here…” She blushes heavily.
“Heh, yeah, I sure do.. it makes me feel like you’re here with me.” My face has never been hotter.
Luna: “I so desperately missed you, I can’t wait to hug you again..”
“You have no idea.. I thought about you almost every single day..”
Luna: “You really are the sweetest.. I never forgot about you, or how much fun we had.. I waited everyday for the perfect opportunity to come back, I found that opportunity was tonight.. I will say though, the art of appearing in your car, was a real challenge…”
“How, did you do that..?”
Luna: “I really had to concentrate, I risked being seen by everyone around.”
“I’m surprised you didn’t wait until I was somewhere else..”
Luna: “You are at so many places in so little time, I just had to make the best guess I could.”
“Fair enough.. let me figure out where we can go..”
I am struggling to hold back my excitement. I just want to go back there and squeeze her. Why must I have to wait..
“Luna I’m so sorry but I still love you just as much if not more..”
Luna: “Never apologize for your emotions, I also feel the same.. I think my heart has grown stronger for you.. please, find a place where I can hold you.”
“I will I will..” I forgot just how hard my heart could beat. It hurt. The amount of blood flowing through my body was probably enough to make Niagara Falls look wimpy.
Just like the last car ride we had, it was quiet.. except this time, it was full of anxiety, love, and sheer nervousness. Both of us were having a hard time managing our emotions, which is why we stayed quiet.
“How does this look, love?” Yeah, I called her love.. as soon as I said it I felt another painful shock down my body, it just, it felt so right…so good…
She didn’t respond for a few seconds, I don’t know what she was thinking or doing.
Luna: “Hehe, well.. I think it looks just fine, thanks love..”
I lost it. I giggled and hid myself. My face was redder than the blood in my veins..
“Lunaaaaaa”
Luna: “What? You did it first…”
I get out of the car with a burning hot face. She follows me right behind. My heart, is racing. I’m so shaky I could barely walk right..
I find a place where we can lay down. Right here, next to the lake that reflects the moonlight perfectly. It looks almost the same as when she first appeared..
I can’t contain myself. I turn around and grab her so tightly… I don’t think I have ever squeezed someone so hard in my life. She returns the favor, squeezing me as if there was no tomorrow..
Luna: “Gosh, I have been waiting way too long for this…”
“Tell me about it.. I am so happy you are here….”
We let go, only to replace our tight hug with some really tight and warm snuggles.
She lays on the ground, then says:
Luna: “Please lay beside me, I am going to wrap my wing around you.”
Oh my god, how could I not.. I instantly got down and laid right next to her, leaning my body on too hers, as she wrapped her soft wing around my whole body. I wrapped my arms around her legs, and we just laid there, for what seemed like hours… I have never felt so loved in my life. The emotions were so strong I could probably power the whole Earth with them.
Luna: “I don’t know what I would do without you Jesse. You are my best friend, my lover, my person.”
“I feel the same Luna.. you are worth waiting many moons for..”
She is so soft. It felt like I was laying on a bed right near a lake. Her wing was like the comforter, it kept me warm and made me feel so cozy. Seconds felt like minutes, it was amazing.
I started dozing off at some point. She realized this and gently put her head on mine, and closed her eyes with me. Around this time I don’t know what time it actually is, my internal clock is all messed up. If I had to guess, id say its 12am. We both drift off to sleep, within each others grasp. Winning the lottery will never amount to this feeling and experience…
I end up waking before her, I feel her head on mine so I try not to wake her up. Let me tell you, waking up and still seeing her next to me, is a real mind fuck. In the best way possible…
I have so many dreams where I wake up, and my brain is half off, and I still see someone I care about there. I feel happy.. then whenever I come to my senses, they’re gone.. and it hurts.. so… much..
This though, was like, the best breath of fresh air. No, actually, its like what heaven must be..
I close my eyes once again. I have no other worries in the world. Who’s making fun of my car, finances, anything. It don’t matter, all that matters is right now. I am the luckiest guy alive.
I fall back asleep. Just for a little while. Then, Luna wakes up.
Luna: “mm, hmm, *yawn* oh, thank goodness.. Jesse..”
“Huh…y-yes? Ohh, heyyy..”
Luna: “Hehe, you’re still sleepy aren’t you..”
“Mmmmaybe… “
Luna: “You really are the cutest thing.. you fell asleep before I did, so I figured I would join you.”
“I am glad you did.. I wouldn’t want anything else but you to fall asleep with me.”
Luna: “I agree..”
We both look at each other with loving eyes. Just like the cartoons, our eyes glisten in the dark of night. The moon light shines through my eyes and I am very sure she can see the moon in me, in more ways than one.
That feeling I got, when we locked eyes… oh my lord.. it was pure.. love.. I just wanted to kiss her.. hold her, take care of her.. she was all I wanted.
Suddenly she leans in, slowly guiding her head towards mine..
Is this… happening? Is this it? The moment I was just envisioning in my mind???
Yes… yes it was..
She closes her eyes. I close mine, and slowly lean in to meet her half way, then our lips touch each others..
It felt like I got electrocuted…
The shock of love hit me like a freight train. It took my breath away. We locked our lips together for, well, it seemed like an eternity..
Honestly, it was probably about 15 seconds. My brain was spazzing out. You could compare it to a cartoon, where the sparks are flying as I am trying to compute the situation.
We both gently pulled away. I started to cry. I opened up my eyes and through the tears I see her face red as can be. She couldn’t even look at me, she buried her head in herself and let out the cutest little giggle. I hid too.. I felt like such a little kid, it truly was amazing.. the tears were of joy, I felt something I have never felt before in my life..
I couldn’t say anything. Neither could she.. we sat there for an hour, dead silent.
This was what I have always wanted. To feel something this strong with someone, or, somepony..
Nervousness flooded the air. We both stuttered with our movements, what just happened threw us both off. I looked at her, she was looking at the moon. I wasn’t sure if she was happily looking to the sky, or if it was a sad moment. I wasn’t what to do. Well, I suppose another kiss wont hurt, right..?
I scoot closer to her, then slowly caress the side of her cheek. She looks at me with huge loving eyes. I slowly move my hand under her chin, and guide her lips toward mine. She blushed heavily as I did this, then closed her eyes. I closed mine, and once again, our lips touched each others, shocking me all throughout. She leaned in more, then ended up pushing me to the ground so she could get on top of me. I let it all happen, zero confusion or restraint. She got on top of me, and then we kissed, again, several more times.. it never got old. Her mane was so elegantly flowing above me, complimenting the night sky perfectly. This went on for sometime, until, well, you remember what happened last time..
Luna: “Oh, my gosh.. I, wow..”
“Uh..um..yeah, that was, wonderful…”
Luna: “I don’t know what to say…”
“Me neither…”
Luna: “Jesse, please, forgive me.. however it is near my time to leave and go back home..”
“Well, I knew it had to come.. I understand..”
I wasn’t sure what I was feeling. On one hand, I was soooo happy. What we just did lit up a fire inside of me.. on the other, I was sad she was about to leave. I didn’t know what emotion to portray.
Luna: “Tonight was, even better than the last.. I can’t wait for when I return.. I promise we will have an amazing time..”
“I know, Its going to be so wonderful.. please, don’t keep me waiting to long..”
Luna: “ill be back as soon as I can.. you just be good for me, ill keep watch over you as always..
“Okay… I love you..”
Luna: “I love you even more.. good bye Jesse..”
She got up off of me, so lovingly and gently. She walked out a bit, then slowly flew into the sky. My body was full of butterflies, it was an intense feeling. A white orb engulfed her, and then poof, she was gone..
I was, full of, happiness.. her leaving wasn’t bothering me that much, what just happened helped take the impact of it away.
I walk back to the car, love fills me. I am so.. so happy.. I will never forget the feel of her lips on mine..
I just hope I can feel them again soon, I just have to wait.
