Chapters Chapter the First: Absconded
As the forest gave way to plains, Flurry sighed. This whole trip had been so slow and boring. If she'd taken the train like a normal pony, she'd have already arrived in Canterlot with time to spare, and there would be other ponies to interact with. She knew it was necessary to take a carriage this time, but why did that carriage have to be so slow and rickety?
She groaned out in frustration, and the guard pulling her called back. "Everything alright in there, Princess?"
"I'm fine," she groaned. "Just bored. This is boring. When can something exciting happen?"
"I'm sure something fun will happen soon," the guard assured her. "After all, you're on your way to Canterlot. There's plenty for you to do there. Shops, parties, and fundraisers are always available in some form or another. Plus, your great aunts are waiting for your arrival, so I'm sure they'll have something for you to do."
"Yeah, but there's nothing to do now . I didn't bring a book or someone to play Battleship with or anything!"
"That's not my call," sighed the guard. "If you're really that bored, I can lend you my manual of light armour repair?"
"No, that's fine," huffed Flurry.
A low rumble rang out across the plains, rippling the grass.
"What do you think that was?" asked the guard.
"Sounded like a dragon," said Flurry. "A big one."
The guard shrugged. "They're allowed to be here, now. I suppose it could be. He probably won't bother us, though. Their reputation is shaky with most Equestrians, already."
"Are you sure about that?" asked Flurry. "I know there hasn't been word of a dragon kidnapping a damsel such as myself in eons, but who's to say that's not about to change? He could swoop down on us at any second and carry me off to Celestia-knows-where. What would you do, then?"
"I have my trusty spear," assured the guard. "My name isn't Crimson Lance for nothing, you know. I'm a well-respected trainer of squad-level tactics in the use of most polearms."
"Most?" teased Flurry. "Not all?"
The guard blushed. "Swordstaffs and bardiches are my weaknesses."
Again, the dull roar resounded across the plains.
"It sounds like he's coming closer," noted Flurry. "If he offers me a ride, do you mind if I hop on his shoulders and ride him all the way to Canterlot? No offense, but this conversation's not the most exciting thing, and it's going to be hours before we reach our destination at this point."
The guard laughed. "I wouldn't, no. It's your mother that would throw a fit. If I told her that you'd been taken away by a dragon when she specifically told me to drive you there in this carriage, I'd never hear the end of it. I could say goodbye to my retirement fund, and my job that would give me something to retire from. I've never lost any charges yet, and I don't plan to change that today."
"What if I ordered it? I am a princess, after all."
"You don't sign my paychecks yet."
"True..."
The roar was much louder this time, ringing out right behind them. Flurry had just enough time to turn around and look up as a colossal dragon landed atop her carriage, ripped off the yoke, and took flight once more. The single guard that had been escorting her was left on the road with half of the wobbly carriage as the dragon flew off over the trees.
Flurry was pinned to the seat, held in place between the firm cushion and the fleshy scales of the dragon's claw. Spreading her wings made her feel like she was falling, rather than flying, as the wind rushing past her was at an unfamiliar angle.
She looked up at the dragon. Despite having front claws, his wings were in the style of a wyvern, with three little fingers extending from his wrist joint, and two long ones with webbing trailing behind. The webbing ran all the way down his tail, the tip of which flopped and swayed in the high winds. Other than his yellow underbelly, his scales were a deep, dark blue. His teeth jutted out of his mouth on both his upper and lower jaw, his eyes were sunken into his skull, and a single forward-facing horn jutted out between his big, floppy ears.
She didn't know where he was taking her, and with the aerodynamics of the ruined carriage, the wailing wind would drown out any question she could ask. She just had to hope that it was somewhere close.
It was a few minutes before the carriage touched the ground again. She didn't manage to see exactly where she was, as the swinging of the carriage around the time of her landing had been somewhat disorienting.
"Where are we?" she demanded.
"My lair," answered the dragon, grabbing her in his left front claw and tucking her under his wing. Before he closed it, she took note of the colour of the stone, and instantly knew that she was back in the Crystal Empire, up in the mountains. She wasn't sure where, exactly, but she could narrow it down to about two dozen possible mountains.
She could see vague shapes through the wing membrane. Most of what she could see were rocks of all colours and sizes, most notably stalactites and stalagmites. She was able to see that the light grew dimmer and dimmer until it was all black.
Soon, she was dropped to the ground on a pile of coins. The room was still dark, but after a few clicks and a loud boom, the pile she was dropped on lit up as the chandelier hanging over her and a few dozen wall sconces all caught fire at once, lighting the whole place up. She was lying atop more than just gold, but jewels, as well.
The dragon plodded over to her, curled around her, and pressed his nose against hers. "What do you think? Is it all you ever wanted?"
Flurry shook her head. "What is this?"
The dragon let out a laugh. "This is your new home. Welcome to my very own personal lair, Princess"
Chapter the Second: Fairest Maid
Flurry had scurried over to one of the corners of the cavern, sitting as far from the dragon as she could. She couldn't see the exit, wondering if the dragon's magic had rendered it invisible. He seemed to have only a passing interest in her, counting his coins by the candlelight and only pausing every so often to look up at her and smirk before returning. He was waiting for her to make a move.
"What do you want from me?" asked Flurry finally, after several minutes of silence.
The dragon smiled maliciously. "Much."
"That doesn't answer my question. Why did you bring me here?"
"Because this is where it will all happen."
Flurry scowled. "You're not being very cooperative."
"That is an accurate statement."
Flurry sighed. "What is it that you want? Money? Do you want my mom to pay you a ransom for my safe return?"
"That's a very tempting offer. I accept. She can gather up the coinage and send it here. Once it's been counted out, both you and the money can pack up and come with me."
"Who says I'm going with you?"
"Who says you have a choice?"
Flurry slumped down. "Fine. send your note, already."
The dragon shook his head. "No. I'll give her some time to miss you, first. A week, at least."
"A week?!" shouted Flurry. "You expect me to sit in here with you for a week?!"
"At least," nodded the dragon coolly. "Do you have a problem with that?"
Flurry folded her arms and turned away, pouting. "This is going to be even more boring than sitting in that rickety cart and having nothing to do. At least there, I could watch the countryside go by."
The dragon turned his head to Flurry, slinking forward until he was encroaching in her personal space. "Are you truly that bored?"
She scowled at him. "Do I look like I'm having fun?"
He shrugged. "You seem to have no trouble occupying your time with conversation."
"Yes, I'm bored," groaned Flurry, smacking his nose. "You don't have anything for me to do!"
A slow grin crept across the dragon's snout. "Well, then..." He turned and walked to the other side of the cavern and pulled out a chest. He opened it up and brought out a feather duster and a maid outfit. He tossed them to her hooves, letting them skate across the ground.
Flurry sneered at him. "What do you think you're doing?"
The dragon folded his front legs. "If you're that desperate for something to do, you can clean the place up. If you're exaggerating about how bored you really are, then you can sit and wait for the next week. That decision is yours to make."
Flurry picked up the maid outfit. "What makes you think this dress is even going to fit me?"
"I can see your body shape," answered the dragon. "I know your size, and I've even accounted for your wings. It will fit just fine. Unless you'd rather wear nothing at all?"
Flurry's stomach tightened. She was used to wearing little to nothing around ponies, but if this perverted dragon was suggesting that she clean his cave in the nude, there was no greater incentive to cover herself. She quickly slipped into the dress, finding that it fit her perfectly, even accommodating for her wings as promised. Best of all, there were panties under the skirt, so even if he did stick his nose up there, he wouldn't see anything.
"How's that," he smirked, chuckling at her. "Do you feel more comfortable now? Do you enjoy playing dress up?"
"No," answered Flurry. "I don't."
"Fine," shrugged the dragon. "Take it off, then. Nice and slow; I could use the entertainment."
Flurry's face went red. "I'm not stripping for you!"
"You say that, but it would certainly pass the time more than just sitting there and waiting for a whole week."
"No."
He shrugged again, and pushed a broom in front of her. "Well, set to work, then."
Flurry looked around. "You expect me to clean this whole place?"
"Why not?" he chuckled. "You're already dressed for it."
Flurry grunted in frustration and grabbed the broom. "Fine. You're lucky I'm so bored and grouchy!"
"Why would your mood have anything to do with it?"
"Because cleaning up is cathartic!!"
She started by sweeping up around her. To no one's great surprise, under the dirt that made up the bottom of the cavern was more dirt, and she was just pushing it around in circles, kicking dust into the air. All the while, the dragon just watched with a big smirk on his face, chuckling as she tried to clean the dirt from the dirt. It was a futile effort.
"My, my, my... You actually went and did it. You know there's nothing under here, right?"
Flurry threw the broom at him. "Why did you wait this long to tell me that?!"
"It's fun watching you do my dirty work for me."
Flurry scowled at him. "You're an arsehole!"
"Are you sure about that?"
"Yes!"
"Let's see yours, then."
Flurry looked up at him. "What?"
"You say I'm an arsehole; show me." He pulled out a portrait of himself. "This is what I look like. If your arsehole looks the same, then I suppose I am."
"Fuck you."
"Is that what you want to do now? Or would you prefer to clean off the layer of dust from my coins and gems that you put there?"
She snarled at him as she snatched the feather duster from his claws. He'd scattered much of his hoard across the floor. There were no tables and only three chests. One of them had housed the clothing she was wearing, along with the equipment she was using. Who knew what else he had in there? She didn't know what was in the other two boxes, but one was marked with a clawed pair of gashes perpendicular to each other, right next to the lock. Could that mean he'd stolen it and couldn't open it?
At least his was something she could finish. She couldn't clean up all of the dirt, but she could clean the coins and gemstones. The latter, she could even break apart into its constituent pieces, separating the emeralds from the rubies and sapphires and tourmaline. It wasn't fun, but at least it was something to do.
Chapter the Third: Scales and Claws
It wasn't easy, but after a few hours, Flurry had managed to dust every single coin, sort out the gemstones, and even remove some of the dust from the boxes. The entire time, the dragon had been leering at her, licking his teeth every time she moved to a position where he could see her panties. "You dust very inefficiently," he chuckled as she turned around, finished. "You must have been ridiculously bored if you wanted to do it that way."

"Much," replied the dragon. "But you wouldn't be interested in seeing that."
"And who are you to say what I would and would not be interested in seeing?"
The dragon smirked again. "Close your eyes."
Flurry did so. A few seconds later, a rush of wind rushed through the room, kicking up all of the dust that she had taken the time to brush into neat little piles. It came in waves, as if he were flapping his wings.
When it settled down, she opened her eyes. The coins, while no longer neatly stacked, were free of dust, as were the gemstones. The dragon folded his wings and smirked at her. "See how fast and easy? There's not even any debris. Your method was inefficient."
Flurry shook her mane, and a cloud of dust settled at her hooves. It had been stuck in her mane and tail, and also coated her dress. "No debris, huh?"
The dragon shrugged. "First time for everything."
"These clothes are filthy."
"You can take them off, if you like. That's always been an option."
Flurry sighed and began slipping out of the dress.
"Still so inefficient," grunted the dragon. "Can't you do things any faster?"
To spite him, Flurry slowed down, peeling the fabric away from her skin as slowly as she could. The zipper on the back clicked down tooth by tooth, and the sleeves cascaded off her shoulders. Finally, her skirt slipped down her hips, swaying back and forth as her tail slipped through...
It was only now that she realized what had happened. "You dirty lech!" she called out, turning to face him. "I'm not stripping for you!"
"Why not?" he chuckled. "You're already mostly done. Just slide gently out of those cute little panties, and you'll be stripped down to just skin."
"No," scowled Flurry. "Those are staying on!"
"Suit yourself," shrugged the dragon. "Suit yourself in whatever clothes you brought with you."

Folding her legs, she sat down against the wall again, just scowling at him. It didn't seem to bother him, as he busied himself by scraping his claws against each other, cleaning and sharpening them.
It took all of five minutes for Flurry to realize once again how bored she was and let out a sigh of discontentment.
"This is going to be a long week if you keep losing interest," snorted the dragon. "Shall I find something else to occupy your time?"
"Not if you're just going to trick me again."
"No tricks this time. Full honesty."
"What's your full name, then?"
"It's what my parents call me when they're angry."
"That's not right..."
The dragon raised an eyebrow. "You've met my parents? You were there when I was growing up?"
"No."
"Then you have every reason to believe that what I said is true."
"That's not what I meant, though."
"Then you should say what you mean."
"I do! At least, I mean what I say. That's the same thing!"
"Not the same thing at all. You may as well be proclaiming that "all albatrosses are birds" is the same as "all birds are albatrosses." The bunny ran around the tree, the tree did not run around the bunny."
Flurry grunted in exasperation. "You're not telling me the whole truth!"
"I never said that I would. I merely implied that all words I spoke would be honest. That's why, in your courts, you are sworn to tell, and I quote, "the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth." I have only selected the latter. It's more fun that way."
Flurry sighed and rubbed her face. "Fine. What did you want me to do?"
From the box that had supplied the maid outfit, the dragon pulled a scrub brush. It looked new, with blue nylon bristles. There was also a white one, also with nylon bristles. "The blue is for the harder, coarser layer," he said, holding them out to her. "It's a medium bristle. The white is soft for more sensitive areas."
"More sensitive areas of what?" Flurry asked, picking up one in either hoof.
The dragon dropped a bucket of soapy water next to his shoulders. "Of me."
Flurry's face clearly displayed her disapproval. "You want me to give you a bath?"
"I can give myself a bath, if you prefer. In the meantime, you can sit in the corner, making no noise and not moving. I'm sure waiting patiently is going to cure your boredom."
Flurry growled and dropped both brushes into the soapy water, then brought the blue one with her to scrub with. She climbed on his back, scrubbing first between his wings. He wasn't caked in grime, in fact he seemed to have taken a dip recently to clean himself of any detritus. Most of what she was removing was from the dust he'd kicked up with his wings. Rather than truly cleaning him, she was doing much more to massage him at a surface level. This was only confirmed by his mild purring in pleasure.
"You're enjoying this, aren't you?"
He let out a laugh. "Would I really suggest this if I knew I was going to hate it? Keep scrubbing, I'm loving this!"
Chapter the Fourth: Scrubbing Toes
Flurry stuck to the blue brush at first, just going over all of the rough scales on his back. While she started with his wings, specifically his digits, she swiftly moved to his nose and worked her way down to the tip of his tail starting with his right side and then moving to his left. As she reached his left hip, she stopped.
"You're not going to wait until I'm finished to tell me you could just shed your skin and be done with it, right? That this was all for nothing?"
The dragon shook his head. "Dragons do not shed their skin. We don't molt. Certainly, we exfoliate, but we're not snakes, leaving big gobs of skin behind. Honestly, have you ever seen a shed dragon skin?"
"I've seen a gecko shed its skin," answered Flurry. "Start to finish. It ate the shedding. It's normal for them, why not for you?"
"That's gross."
"Have you ever tried it?"
"I literally just told you that dragons do not shed their skin. How could I possibly eat my own sheddings if I produce none?"
Flurry snorted. "Sounds like someone's a coward who's afraid to take a chance..."
"I'll tell you what I'll do," he sighed. "The next time I shed my skin, I'll eat the whole thing in front of you. Does that sound like something you want to watch?"
"Ew, no."
"Too bad."
Flurry resumed scrubbing, going down to the tip of his tail before switching brushes. With the white one, she again started with the wings, working on the softer membrane this time. By now, his scales were glistening brighter than his collection of jewels. His back was so clean that Flurry could see her own face reflected back at her.
"What is your name, by the way?" she asked.
"It's what my parents decided on as a form of identification."
"No, seriously. If you were mixed in with a bunch of other dragons, what noise should I make to call your attention?"
"Scream "Fuck me hard in the arse!" I guarantee, I'll turn to look at you."
"Yeah, so will everyone else!"

"Then we'd all have the same name."
Flurry pouted. "You're being difficult on purpose."
"That is accurate."
She sighed and kept scrubbing. When his wings were done, he rolled onto his back. She started with his neck, chest, and belly, then sat on his chest and started in on his front legs, paying special attention to his claws. They seemed almost prismatic. They looked black when uncleaned, but when polished and exposed to the candlelight, they shone beautifully in all colours of the rainbow.
When his front claws were done, she moved to the tip of his tail and worked her way up, stopping at his hips to work on his back claws and inner thighs. His claws were all very smooth and sharp, indicating that a lot of care and attention went into their maintenance.
"You have very lovely claws," she commented. "Why do they look so smooth?"
"Because they need to be," he answered. "Think of a chef. If his knives are filthy and cracked and don't have a clean edge, he's going to be making some terrible food. But if his knives are regularly sharpened, kept clean, and in good repair, he can chop vegetables all day long and they'll be beautiful. I don't want chipped, broken or dirty claws because they're useless. Claws need to be kept clean, sharp, and deft. Any blemishes will make it more difficult to properly apply them."
She nodded and turned around to do his other back leg, only to find that a massive pink and blue splotched rod had grown out of his cloaca. "Oh, my sincerest apologies, Princess of Making Love," he bowed. "I have forgotten to serve your goose liver pâté and caviar on the polished silver."
"You can't serve caviar on silver; You'd ruin the flavour. And pâté is useless without something to serve it on. And to top it all off, I'm a vegetarian, so I can't eat either of those dishes."
"Well, I guess that hay was a good option, then, huh?"
"I'm just saying, you could have bought some beans, or something. Baked beans make for a decent breakfast item. Especially if you have toast or a biscuit or something to mop up the extra sauce."
"Picky, picky, picky..." he sighed. "Look, you can eat this, or you can wither away. Which sounds better to you?"
Flurry groaned and grabbed a hoofful of hay, lightly munching on it. This was fine for a little while, but it would need to change before long, or she'd suffer the dietary consequences. A pony could not live on hay alone, but if she was going to be sticking around, she would need to find some way of bringing in other food items. That was assuming that she didn't find a way out by then...
