Despair, the rushing red & the symphony of colours
Trixie:
Trixie could feel the cold seeping into her bones, slowly numbing her senses. The fear of the unknown and the peace of everything being over warring and conflicting in her mind.
“The great an powerful Trixie’s dung show is finally over, you’ve been a wonderful audience now go rut yourselves” Trixie whispered to herself sarcastically, chuckling with both bitterness and relief.
Feeling her eyes grow heavy, her thoughts turned to the lavender unicorn who had haunted her thoughts, twilight sparkle, the mare who had shown her up twice now an somehow since they'd first meet felt too familiar to her. The feelings of both bitter hate and loving admiration an respect for the once unicorn now alicorn rose an fought in her heart as the numbing coldness embraced her, her eyes closing as she was swept away.
Twilight:
The bitter cold swirled through my mane an tussled my fur and feathers, the protective fibres that was my fur doing little to protect me against the wild wind of the everfree forest.
I hum softly in thought as I feel the warmth of my magic spread slowly through my body as I casually recast my warming charm. I sigh softly, zoning out the world around me as I peacefully observed my surroundings.
The soft beautiful light of Lunas moon pierced through the vibrant deep green leaves of the forest, bathing the trees and sorroundingg in ethereal dangorus beauty, a certain beautiful prismatic and cyan pegasus occupying my mind an heart, strange foreign feelings sweeling within me an conflict half formed thoughts shooting back and forth within my mind.
I didn’t know why but walking through the Everfree at night was always soothing, it helped me think and settle the mess that was mind in a way my obsessive organisation and lists couldn’t, allowing me to exist in peace with my thoughts and not be overwhelmed by my insecurities and fears.
The sound of rushing water slowly overtook all other sounds as I walked deep in thought towards the river.
As I finaly set my hooves on the river bank, the forrest no longer surrounding me, still lost in thought as I absent-mindedly observed the rushing chaotic river, but something was wrong, very wrong, there was to much red Red? What the buck? This much red doesn't belong in a river, or on a river bank I thought to myself as worry an fear started to claw into my heart snapping me back to reality.
Blood, the river bank and beautiful blues swirls of the river were tainted deep red with blood, panic started to rise within me as I tried to calm, my paranoid mind firing all sorts of gruesome images a me.
I galloped forward quickly, praying to celestia it wasn’t one of my subjects and was just an injured animal as I tried to find the source of the blood.
Dread pooled in my stomach as I spotted the source, a full-body shudder ruffling my feathers and fur as I gazed upon a soft blue unicorn, a unicorn with a swishing wand cutie mark, flowing aqua an cream mane an a sparkling magicians hat an cape covered in blood.
"Trixie" I uttered in horror and confusion at the sight of the unicorn in front of me, panic bubbled up an almost consuming me, snapping me out of my state of frozen horror, not knowing what I could do to help, only that I had to do something, and fast for the unicorn who had always felt familiar to me, like an old friend I could no longer remember.
Acting quickly I frantically but gently searched for where she was bleeding from, quickly finding the source of the blood shock shot through me, not letting my shock stall me though I gently wrapped her cape tightly around her fore-legs, stemming the bleeding best I could.
Still knowing it wouldn’t assure her survival an idea popped into mind. I knew something that could save her, that would ensure that she would survive, but I hesitated, my mind warring with itself.
My idea, I knew could save her, but it was an incredibly complex, intimate an powerful piece of magic. Something that would forever alter both our lives, especially given that I was an alicorn, an I could not predict how that would affect us and the magic at play, I could hypothesises but could not accurately predict.
On one hoof i could ensure she would survive, on the other hoof with out it she would likely die before I could get her to the hospital, it was a miracle she was still alive I have to, I failed her before, I failed to offer her friendship and care, I wont fail her now, I am the princess of friendship and magic its my responsibility to make up for my mistakes and failures I thought to myself resolutely, but that it was only part of the truth, something else was pushing me to go so far to save her.
I breath in as I steady myself before gently taking her hat off. leaning forward a light blush paints my cheeks as our muzzles softly touch, her fur tickling my muzzle as I finally take another deep breath and commit.
Our horns touch as I delicately start drawing my life energy from the pool of it hidden deep within my being. Shivers softly running through me as I feel my virile near unending life energy begin to pool at the base of my horn before I begin to push my self intrinsic energy into Trixie through her horn.
Suddenly my world exploded into a vibrant symphony of colour an magic, an ethereal humming filling my ears as the heavy feel of magic and energising feel of life saturate my being as the feeling of something more, the feeling of something new settled in my mind before pain suddenly lanced through my mind, disjointed and broken memories filling my mind as I screamed in pain.
Slowly the colours faded as did the pain, the world looking dull as I cut the flow of life and magic, feeling my energy leave me, exhaustion slowly filling me I staggering back from the loss of energy an strength.
My knees nearly buckleing after our horns disconnect, suddenly feeling a strange feeling of loss and somthing eles bittersweet as the mess of memories started to settle, a headache starting to form.
Completly drained I relax briefly and breath soothingly, no longer as worried I clumsily pick her up with my exhausted magic, gently placing her on my back, taking a deep breath I gather my remaining energy. digging as deep into my reserves as i safely could I surounded us with my magic, and visualising my bedroom I "moved" an with a pop I collapsed onto my bed bringing trixie with me as my exhaustion and weakness finally caught up to me.
