When Twilight Sparkle, one year ago, ascended as an Alicorn, and was coronated as Princess of Magic, there were those among the nobility that feared her and her planned reforms. These Traditionalists despised what she stood for, and after meticulous planning...they prepared a mission to Ponyville, under a moonlit night. Their aim was to murder Twilight Sparkle and anyone who dared oppose them.

However...there is one who watches from afar, angered by the actions of the Traditionalists. This being, powerful beyond reason, cannot intervene of his own accord. Nevertheless, he knows that something must be done to save Equestria from the ruin that awaits should Twilight Sparkle die.

His name is Hunhow. Master of the Sentients, and ally of the Lotus and the Tenno. He sends his servant, the Shadow Stalker, to Equestria in order to stop the dark fate that the Traditionalists would so eagerly embrace. The Stalker's task is simple...defend Twilight Sparkle against all threats, and ensure a lasting age of Harmony in Equestria.

For on that night...the Traditionalists do not know that their reckoning comes for them...bearing silent, eternal vengeance.
