Ascians, known as Paragons and Bringers of Chaos. They are the remnants of an ancient race of beings who lived on the planet Etheirys before the shattering. Masters over the magicks of creation, they spread chaos throughout the thirteen shards as a means to bring about "The rejoining" by reviving Zodiark and restoring their lost civilization. To aid in this task, the unsundered raise individual fragments of the souls of their ancient colleagues into Ascians. One of these souls that were brought back opposed the idea of bringing their world back by the means of sacrificing the other shards and choose to separate herself from them and chose to live her own life. Now we follow the story of an ascian and her journey to a new world as a ruler of an empire.
