This story is basically about my life and events that have taken place within my life as well as situations I have been in and thoughts I have had.
It's my life story summarised through writing this story.
A Mother's Truth: Chapter 1.
Have you ever known your life to be a lie? Suddenly you're told something and your life is flipped upside down forever? Everything you've ever known suddenly changes and it stays like that for good? Like you're trapped in your own hell forever?
Yeah, I have. It fucking sucks! My name is Sunglow Flame.
My mother was, or is, Sunset Shimmer. Ex unicorn-turned-human to get revenge on her mentor and mother Princess Celestia.
I was raised by my grandparents Principal Celestia and Judge Discord. My entire life I believed they were my parents and that Sunset was my big sister.
Turns out all of that was one large fucking lie. My life has been nothing more than lies and betrayal.
My life, my entire world had been flipped upside down. Everything I thought I knew about my family was nothing more than a well made lie by my grandparents. They betrayed me. My own biological mother betrayed me.
I don't know who to trust anymore. I can't get close to anyone ever again. I don't want to be betrayed again. I can't take it anymore.
Turns out, my aunt, or should I say great aunt Luna was also in on the lie. She was never my aunt, but my grandaunt. My real aunts were actually Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Princess Twilight and human Twilight.
They were also in on it! How could they!? How could my own family do this to me!? Why?! Why would they do this to me!?
I hope this is some fucked up nightmare because I want to wake up RIGHT NOW!
Sadly, this isn't a nightmare but my actual life. I'm furious. I'm angry, sad, disgusted, furious and I feel betrayed completely.
For a while, I decided to cut my mom, Sunset, out of my life entirely. I blocked her number, I blocked all my aunt's numbers and refused to talk to anyone for a short while.
The day I found out my life was a lie will always haunt me.
What did I do to deserve this? Why is my life so messed up right now? I can't think straight and I hate it! I absolutely hate it! I' not usually this...weak, broken and down. I usually bounce back the next day.
Why didn't Sunset want to be my mom?
Why did my biological father, Flash Sentry, leave me and my mom?
Why has fate been so unkind to me? Why?
Everything in my life has been a lie. I was a mistake. Perhaps I shouldn't have been born and then my life wouldn't be so fucked up.
I don't know if I can forgive my aunts and Sunset. I don't know if I'll ever be able to forgive my now deceased grandparents. I don't know how long it'll take for me to heal from all of this. One day I hope this situation is worked out and everything's fine.
After I had been sat down and informed by Sunset of what my life really was, who everyone I'd ever known in my family was, I'd walked to my girlfriend Honey Pot's house and stayed overnight with her. I stayed with her for a couple of days to wrap my head around it all.
The next day after that Sunset figured out where I was and tried to pick me up, to try and act like she was my mother.
She doesn't deserve the title. In a sense, she abandoned me and gave me away. She's a traitor!
I just feel so hurt right now....
This pain...
This soul-crushing agony...
It fucking hurts!
It's like being ripped apart, molecule by molecule, limb from limb and put back together over and over again.
I just want this mental torment to stop!
Please! Somebody save me from this living hell!
I want this torment to end! Please! If there is a god out there please help me!
I can't take it anymore!
I want it to stop!
This...sudden truth is giving me a massive headache.
I can barely hear myself think!
As I look out the window, all I see is rain. It seems to fit the current mood somehow. I grab my phone and put on some Britney Spears to calm me down.
Music has been the one thing to calm me down when I've been in a bad mood or upset at someone.
I suppose it would be only fair if I told you everything from the beginning, wouldn't it?
Sit back, get comfortable, get something to eat or drink and listen closely. This is the story of how my life was turned upside down.
Sunset stared at her phone, going through her pictures. She scrolled through pictures with her and her friends, The Rainbooms.
She then scrolled through pictures of her mom and dad, Celestia and Discord, of times gone by.
Lastly, she scrolled through pictures of the day her son was born.
The pain was agonizing but it was worth it.
Holding her son made her feel so protective over him. She loved him so much and wanted to raise him in a safe and warm home. She knew it would be just her raising her son, but she would try her best and do what she could for her precious Sunglow.
He looked so much like her dick of an ex Flash but yet so much like herself.
Sunset smiled at the pictures of her holding her son, Sunglow swaddled in a blanket, being held by her. Princess Twilight had taken the picture for her.
That day was one of her many favorites.
But then it all went downhill.
Her parents had found out she was pregnant one day and demanded an explanation.She had calmly explained everything to them. But they didn't seem to care.
Both of them had demanded that once her child was born, she could keep it under one condition. That condition being they raise her son as theirs and she would have to pretend to be his big sister.
Feeling forced at the time, Sunset begrudgingly agreed and Sunset was only allowed to act like a sibling to him and not a doting and loving mother.
She felt awful afterwards and couldn't sleep that night.
Her precious little Sunglow had grown up into a fine young man, despite being only fifteen years old he was wise beyond his years and quite an intellectual child.
Sunset was always proud of him and loved him deeply. Not a sibling love but a mother's love. She was rightfully his mother and about time he learned the truth from her. Not from her parents.
She got up and walked to her son's room. She sat down on his bed as she warmly smiled at him. A smile full of love and care for him.
She sighed, bracing herself for whatever his reaction would be.
"Sunglow, there's something I've never told you and it's time you know." Sunset began, wanting to get her son back as much as she could.
Sunglow looked on at her curiously, wanting to know more of what she needed to tell him.
Sunset sighed, steeling her nerves. "Sunglow...I'm not your sister. I'm your mother. I was forced to give you up to my parents who are your grandparents and I was forced into being your big sister. Whenever you called Celestia 'mom' it hurt so much. I know you must be upset, angry and must feel so betrayed. I don't blame you. If I had it my way I would've gotten us out of here and raised you myself if it had to be that way. I love you Sunglow more than you could ever imagine. You are my son, my little flame. I will always love you." Sunset's eyes were full of tears of pain and sorrow, but also joy at the fact she finally had her son back.
"Y-You're my mom? How? How the fuck are you my mom?" Sunglow shrieked, nearly stumbling over in shock.
Sunset sighed and placed her son's hands within her own, squeezing them tightly.
"Your dad was someone I fell in love with when I was in school, we dated and one night we had unprotected sex. Your dad, Flash Sentry, broke up with me and left us because he didn't want to be a dad. That doesn't mean I felt the same. I didn't. I never regretted having you for a second. You are my son and a gift I have always cherished and will always love with all of my heart." Sunset answered, pulling her son into her arms as Sunglow sobbed into her chest.
"Shh, there, there. I'm here for you. Let it all out." Sunset soothed, her suppressed maternal instincts coming back in full force as she held her trembling son tighter. She hated seeing him so upset and hurt. She felt so guilty about it.
"I-I need to be alone for a while." Sunglow stuttered, his body shaking in grief and anger.
"I understand. but if you ever have any questions just ask me and I will answer you honestly. You deserve that much and more. But know that I love you ever so much, my sweet boy." Sunset replied, smiling comfortingly as she ruffled her son's hair in an attempt to make him feel better.
Sunglow left his room and walked out of the house to Honey Pot. He needed to get away from Sunset, away from his sister-no-mother.
"Why did she lie to me about who she was my entire life?" That question and many more plagued Sunglow's mind. He knew Sunset would answer them if he simply asked them.
But for now, he needed to clear his mind and focus his thoughts. Getting his phone out, he blocked Sunset's number temporarily. It wasn't to be mean to her, but so she understood he needed some time to himself.
He kept walking until he found Honey Pot's house as he was greeted by his girlfriend.
The two lovers sat down and discussed the situation, eventually falling asleep cuddling together.
Sunset would no doubt be looking for him. He didn't blame her. She was a concerned mother looking for her child.RIght now, he needed some time away from her before he could face her again.
