"You stood with the bear..."

"I still do..."

"And now they hate you..."

"I know..."

"..."

"Ulysses?"

"Hm?"

"Do you hate me?"

"I used to. Not anymore,"

"Ulysses?"

"What is it?"

"Are we friends,"

"..."

"Sorry just wanted to-"

"No..."

"Oh..."

"You're my brother,"

Six just stared at his fellow courier for a moment before turning back to the ruins of the divide, most likely knowing this would be his final time to visit this place before leaving and this time never returning. Ulysses would stay as the divide's warden but Six wanted to talk with the original sixth courier before he went on a new road to god knows where.

Lowering his head Six summoned something to his hand before tapping the flag bearer's shoulder with it, the former tribal looked at the object before taking it in his hands. Standing up the courier stood up one last time from his spot on the ledge before turning to look at the gas-masked courier who wore an old world flag on his back.

"Something to remember me by," Six stated before walking to the pass and turning his head to the warden of the divide. "And to keep you from going insane... at least have your story in one place this time,"

Ulysses watched the courier leave as he looked down at the blank book in his hands with something sticking out of it...

An NCR metal...

(The Nile kingdom)

The role of a ruler is difficult...

Sure being the ruler might sound nice with all that power at their fingertips with a life of total luxury and comfort but it wasn't all easy going for the leader of a kingdom.

The meetings...

The schedule...

And worst of all...

The paperwork...

The one thing that took up most of her day was the paperwork...

Slowly the queen of the Nile looked down at the scrolls before writing her signature on the report...

Closing the scroll she handed the report to a servant who took the report with a bow and moved off before she unrolled another report. Putting it before her she was about to unroll the scroll before the doors to her work chamber opened while the guards shifted slightly at the door ready to defend their queen.

But the moments when a Jackal royal servant caused the guards to relax, holding his head down the servant walked up to the queen before bowing slightly, rising up the servant didn't look up before speaking.

"My queen, please forgive my interruption but there is something that requires your attention," The servant apologized.

The queen didn't smile but silently thanked the gods for this sudden intervention of an actual excuse to stop doing this headache of merchant reports.

"What is it?"

The message was a little hesitant but spoke up about the reason for his interruption.

"My queen we have strangers at our gates and one of them claims to be a messager sent by King Damion of the Abyssinians,"

Slowly the queen rose from her chair slightly surprised.

"Well, what was the message?"

"My queen... he wishes to speak in person,"

"Why?" The servant shuttered slightly.

"Well, my queen... he speaks of war,"

Slowly the queen made her way to the gates of the outer city while she was forward in her carriage to the gates she wondered why the message didn't come to the palace. While the carriage was put down she stepped out forward with her bodyguards on either side of her, slowly going to the gate she saw why the message didn't come to the palace.

Metal golems with a single wheel where their legs would be and in the middle were what looked like some kind of large machine. Standing before the machine stood a being dressed in strange attire donned in an armored long coat and with a helmet with red eyes staring blankly into nothing. Accompanying him were a few of the Abyssninia's sand devils, on the machine were two others a strange floating metal ball and what looked like one of her own people in similar strange clothes and a white jacket working on something.

Walking forward the queen soon stood at the gates while the red-eyed helmet of the stranger looked up at her.

"Good afternoon ma'am,"

"Salutations... you must be the messager of King Damion," Speaking to the stranger who nodded.

"Kinda," The being stated before moving a hand over his chest and giving a slight bow. "My name is Six ma'am... but I'll be honest with you we all thought your people were under attack,"

The queen raised her brow at Six's words.

"What makes you think that?"

One of the sand devils took a step up.

"Well, your highness... Abyssinia was just attacked by Equestria,"

The queen took a second to process what she just heard.

"And... you believe Equestria would dare try and take the Nile?" The Jackal queen asked.

"Ma'am we wouldn't be here if we didn't believe so,"

The queen looked at the stranger and then to the sand devil who gave her a nod... Slowly she nodded back.

"Let us speak in private... but leave the golems,"

(The Neil palace)

Six looked out through the open palace out to the Neil kingdom, the courier was baffled at how similar this entire place was to that of a civilian from earth's past long before America became a country.

'What did the textbook call it? Yeah... Egypt,'

"Amazing aren't they?" Turning his head from the giant pyramids to Aella who smiled while Six nodded. "The Jackals built to bury their kings or pharaoh as they call them,"

"This is... I can't... wait are the tops gold?"

"Yep, every single one,"

"How are these built?!" Six's brain was being overclocked, first Abyssinia and now this!?

Six didn't think there was this much gold in the world, the only large amount he had seen was the thirty-seven gold bars he left in the vault back at New Navarro. Here the entire kingdom had gold on top of superstructures with golden statues of strange-looking idols and pieces of art!

"Many many years," Aella stated to which the queen laughed slightly.

"It's not as long as you might think," The queen stated from her throne, the two turned while the queen sat still looking at Six's choice of appeal. "But I believe we are to take about Equestria attempting to take the badlands,"

Sitting on her golden throne, the Jackal queen rested in her white silk clothing before tapping her fingers on the golden armrest.

"So Celestia attacked not only Abyssinia but your home as well Six," The queen stated. "Which I'm still trying to understand how someone could live in that wasteland,"

"I'm used to it..."

"Hmhm," The queen looked at Six before speaking up. "Where are you from Six?"

"South," Six answered to which the queen lifted her hand up pointing to his head.

"Take your helmet off I wish to see your face,"

The courier froze for a moment before pulling the strap under his helmet and removing his helmet from his face revealing his... 'unique' features. Six watched as the queen's eyes adjusted slightly to see his face before she stood up and walked forward to him before standing right in front of him.

"What... are you?"

Six gave a slight chuckle before smiling at her with his fangs lightly poking from his mouth.

"I'm many things... but I'm a first courier ma'am,"

Grabbing his chin the Sand devils shifted at the sudden grab but the queen didn't mean any harm to Six but only to inspect his face. After inspecting his face she reached and grabbed some of his furs before pulling a lockout causing the courier to hiss in pain before holding the sudden action. Holding the spot she pulled from, Six gently rubbed his neck before the queen brought the lock of fur to her nose to sniff it before looking back at the courier.

"Where were you born," The queen then began to circle the courier.

"Ma'am I believe we were-"

"Answer the question Six," Aella whispered to which the queen stopped at Six's side.

"Yes... answer my question courier,"

Six looked at her with his bionic reptilian eyes.

"I don't know," The queen narrowed her eyes at him.

"How do you not know,"

"I... don't remember,"

"Why is that?"

"Long story..." The queen smiled at the lock of fur in her hand before she asked another question.

"Who was your father?"

"My father?"

"Yes,"

"I dunno-"

"Oh shit!" One of the Abyssinian scouts pointed to the front of the Nile causing the entire group to look forward. "Please tell me I'm the only one seeing this!"

The Queen took a step forward looking to the open ocean at the mouth of the Nile.

"She would dare..." Turning to the courier. "Seems like you were telling the truth after all,"

Throwing the lock of the courier's fur in a golden bowl she pointed up at the captain of the guard.

"Keel! Rally the rear guard! I want the fangs up before those ships get even close!"

"Yes me queen," She turned to the four before her.

"I don't know who you are Courier but show me I can trust you... go to the rear and fight as you did for Damion's kingdom," The queen poked his chest plate.

Six rolled his shoulder.

"Sure but allow me my 'golems' to fight with me," The queen waved her hand.

"Do what you must... I will be watching... the eyes of Aya sees all,"

Six looked at the golden eyes of the Jackal before she turned and moved forward before Courier looked at Aella, the scout nodded like: 'Yeah she not joking'. Gulping the courier put his helmet back on before the sand devils and he exited the palace before going outside.

(A few minutes before)

"Jōdandeshou!" The android roared in laughter before looking at the Eyebot.

Speaking of ED-E looked at the android from within his spot in the tank.

"Wait... you really thought?" Amelia laughed at the eye bot before holding her head. "Kiiiiii! No wonder Six is confused! ED-E I thought cats were all gone Dr. Mobius told me they all died out. Plus do you think she has seen anything like me before?"

"*Confused beeping*"

Tapping the top of his frame Amelia gave a chuckle before lifting up her Nuka-cola up to her lips and taking a sip before the current hatch opened up and Six dropped in.

"Amelia..."

"Hey, six did it go well?" The synth tried her best not to laugh before the courier noticed her smile.

"Did I miss something?"

"No... no... ED-E said something funny," Amelia laughed before Six looked at the eyebot who shifted in his slot.

"Well, we're up,"

The android looked up from her seat before looking at Six before looking at her radar.

"Wait... now? I didn't see anything,"

"Because they're up front," Six stated to which the android put her drink down.

"Up front?"

"Going at the Nile by ship... we got a fleet to deal with,"

"Oh... Kuso..."

"ED-E?"

The eyebot beeped while the courier nodded.

"Ready the lady just in case,"

Author's Note

Well... shorter than normal but the defense for the Neil kingdom is about to begin. (Though to be honest I kinda wish this chapter was a little better doesn't feel like one of my best)

This might be a challenge for the Courier even with the tank and securitrons helping since invasion water are different from land sieges, that's why he might need to pull out the lady for this battle.

Also for some context the Neil kingdom is heavy based off the ancient egyptian culture and I kinda based Aya off of the goddess Anput but not really what I was going for. I was originally thinking of a golden jackal but might save that thing for another time or something.

(My friend made the art which I'm basing her on but I'm not so sure if I should post it here or maybe link it later on)

So this will be interesting...

Can't wait to write what I have planned.
