Chapters On a beach located far from Maretime Bay, a young aqua green haired colt was seen lying on the beach unconscious in the rain after being swept away by the waves, at this rate, the poor little colt is gonna receive hypothermia if he doesn't get any warmness in his body. Luckily, two ponies managed to spot him.
"Mommy look!"
"Oh my, what happened to that poor little colt? Let's get him to our house so that he can warm himself up."
Maretime Bay 9:00am
In the city of Maretime Bay, the citizens of the large city were all seen starting their days and having a chat with one another like usual in this beautiful world of theirs. Life was perfect for the ponies of Equestria. Near the sheriff's station however, a mare and a stallion going by the names of Sunny and Hitch Trailblazer were seen posting posters of their missing son Chase Trailblazer who ran away from them last night due to their selfishness and negligence towards him last night that made them all feel ashamed of their own actions.
"Don't worry Sunny, we'll find him very soon." Hitch assured his wife Sunny as he nuzzled her. "He is smart and brave, he can go through many daunting obstacles by himself." He told her.
This however did not manage to calm her down, in fact, no amount of spa time, relaxation techniques, therapy sessions etc could assist her in relieving her mind from all of the stress and depression that had been put onto her. All she wanted to to reunite with her baby colt Chase again and hug him once more. Not even Ryder was willing to talk to them ever since the disappearance of his best friend Chase.
"I just want my baby back!" Sunny cried.
"Mmm, what happened?" Chase moaned as consciousness slowly began to return to him.
"Mommy, he's awake!"
Chase was surprised to hear the voice of a little filly, once his eyes finally opened, he noticed that he was staring up at a yellow ceiling which looked nothing like his room. The young colt slowly sat himself up with the remaining strengths he had in his body, when he did, he felt immense pain in his head.
"Augh my head."
Then, Chase heard the sound of a door opening near him. The colt looked to his left and saw the mare Posey and her daughter Rose walking up to him with Rose holding a cup of water.
"M-miss Posey?"
"Whoa, relax Chase, don't put too much pressure on yourself." Posey informed him and Chase did what she told him to do and took a deep breath, exhaling it in the process. Then, his head ache has been relieved.
"Here's a cup of water for you Chase." Rose said in a cute voice.
"Thanks Rose." Chase said in an appreciative smile before grabbing the cup of water and drinking it. During that, Rose was admiring that handsome face of Chase's, he is the smart, loving, kind and hard working son of Sunny and Hitch Trailblazer. After ten seconds, the young colt has finished drinking the water and looked at the mare and the filly with a pleasant and thankful smile. "Thank you so much for the pleasant drink." He said in a grateful tone.
"You're very welcome Chase." Posey said with a smile as she grabbed the cup of water.
"What happened to me? And how did I get here?" Chase asked them.
"Well, to answer your first one. Me and my daughter were both heading back home after a peaceful shopping time in Maretime Bay during the rainy weather, as we were walking back, my daughter spotted you lying down there on the sand unconscious which got the two of us shocked. Therefore, we both decided to bring you back here to our house to warm up yourself." Posey said answering the first question. "To answer your second one, once we brought you back to our house, we dried you up and walked you in my daughter's bedroom." She finished.
Chase was beyond thankful when he heard the entire story. Although all he remembered was being swept away by the waves last night after running back home as well as losing his consciousness in the ocean. Nonetheless, he was grateful for these two for saving him.
"Thank you so so much." Chase said in a grateful tone.
"You're welcome Chase." Posey said with a nod and a smile.
"Say, why don't you have breakfast with us?" Rose asked holding his left hoof which made him blush slightly in return due to how cute she looked.
"Sure, it would be my pleasure to join you two for breakfast." Chase said with a nod and a smile.
"Splendid!"
In the living room of Posey's house, Posey, her daughter Rose and Chase were all seen having a salad breakfast which is one of Chase's favourite meals due to it being highly nutritious for an athletic player like he is.
"Now this meal of yours is scrumptious miss Posey, thank you so much." Chase commented with a pleasant smile.
"Why thank you Chase." Poseys said with a smile. She always loved positive feedbacks about her meal. "Chase, if you don't mind me asking, how did you end up on the beach?" She asked.
Chase then lowered his head in a depressed way when he heard this inquiry due to him remembering clearly on what had happened last night.
"Well, here's the story. Last night, I was taking care of a baby dragon that my parents brought in two nights ago named Sparky. While I was trying to get a bottle of water to drink, Sparky inadvertently fell off of his high chair and cried from the pain. By that time, my parents came in and demanded an explanation to what had happened. I tried to explain what had happen but, they all thought that I was making up many lies and my mother spanked me hard. Eventually, I got grounded which lead me to running away from them all. While I was running, I accidentally fell into the cold freezing water and got swept away." Chase replied to her with a disconsolate expression.
Both Posey and Rose were beyond scandalised to hear what Chase had replied to them. How could somepony especially loving parents like Sunny and Hitch do that to their own child? This was such a disgraceful and sick act of the sheriff's of Maretime Bay and the pony who reunified Equestria as well as restoring magic and friendship to all of Equestria. But nonetheless, Posey should do the right thing and reunite Chase with his parents however, she might permit him to stay in her house for a while to heal up from the emotional drama he went through.
"Oh I'm so sorry Chase, I can't believe that they would do something so horrendous to you." Posey said in a depressed tone.
"Me too, how could they neglect somepony so handsome, smart, kind and sweet like you?" Rose asked nuzzling his cheek in a loving way which made him blush in return.
"I know, but, it was what I deserved for not looking carefully after Sparky." Chase told them.
"Regardless of that, they shouldn't have scolded you like this." Posey said. "Tell you what, why don't I let you stay in my house for a while until you're ready to be reunited with your parents?" She offered.
"Y-you really mean it?"
"Yes Chase, we're more than happy to have you here." Posey replied with a nod and a smile. "During that, why don't you sleep with my daughter in her bedroom?" She offered with a playful smirk.
Both Chase and Rose blushed at the thought of sleeping together. It is usually inappropriate for both a colt and a filly to sleep with each other at such a young age. But nonetheless, Rose was eager to have the handsome son of Sunny and Hitch to sleep with her in her bedroom, they can have lots of bonding time and fun together.
"That's a wonderful idea mommy!" Rose exclaimed in happiness and she quickly finished off her salad which surprised Chase due to how fast she could eat. "Come on Chasey, lets go play with some dolls in my bedroom!" She exclaimed in an exhilarated tone as she began to bring the young handsome colt to her bedroom.
"Whoa!"
Posey let out a playful smirk when she witnessed her daughter getting along well with Chase Trailblazer, she decided to give her this perfect opportunity when she noticed all of those times she blushed when she saw Chase doing so phenomenally in class as well as winning nearly all sports events with his best friend Bright. But, it was Chase she loves the most since Bright Cloverleaf the son of Sprout and Izzy was not interested in a relationship just yet.
"You're welcome my daughter." Posey whispered. She was excited to have a grandson or granddaughter or both in the future when they decide to marry each other.

When Rose brought Chase upstairs back to her bedroom where Chase slept in while he was unconscious. She quickly opened the door and pulled him inside which made the young colt yelp in surprise due to how strong she was even though she is just a year younger than he is. Once they were in, both Rose and Chase sat down in front of each other with Rose holding out two dragon dolls.
"Let's play with these dolls Chase!" Rose said with an exhilarated expression.
"Sure Rose." Chase said as he grabbed a green one while Rose grabbed the pink one. "So, how are we supposed to play with them." He asked her.
"Oh its simple, pretend that the dragon you're holding is a brave warrior knight going to the princess dragon that I'm holding here." Rose instructed him which made Chase chuckle a little due to him knowing how this play will unfold.
"Okay." Chase saidwith a nod as he brought the dragon toy that he was holding near the pink one. "Now what?" He asked.
"Now, the two of them will lean close to each other like this." Rose instructed as she and Chase leaned the dragons faces near one another. "After that, they... BATTLE EACH OTHER OUT!" She exclaimed as she began to thrash Chases dragon violently. A brief second later, Rose knocked Chase's dragon doll out of his right hoof with the use of her dragon.
"Woohoo! I'm victorious!" She exclaimed with her hooves in the air.
Chase was a little nonplussed from the sight. At first he thought that Rose was gonna say that the two dragon's were going to kiss each other like what the storybooks usually say that a knight and a princess would do but, Rose on the other hoof has different ideas.
"Wow, that was quite the battle I must say." Chase commented with a chuckle.
"Indeed Chasey!" She said giving him a hug which made Chase blush slightly in return but, he shrugged it off and hugged her back.
12:45pm
It is afternoon now in Maretime Bay, thus, it was time for Posey to ask her daughter to go grab the crops from the garden so that she could make a salad dinner and a smoothie which she accepted, Chase decided to assist her too due to him always loving to be hard working and helpful to other ponies. So, the colt and the filly both grabbed farming equipments from the shack and went to the garden, after that, they began to pick up the crops starting from: lettuces, tomatoes, onions and many more.
"Wow, who knew that all of this farm work can be very fun." Chase said with a smile as he continued to pick up all of the crops in his basket which he enjoyed doing so due to him loving ti be hard working to the community. "Luckily, I have gleaned enough work experiences through volunteering to help take care of foals in daycare, assisting sanitation workers in picking up garbage bags and sweeping the roads which I absolutely enjoyed doing." He finished with a smile.
After picking up three more spinaches, Chase began to make his way back to Posey's house to give her the crops. But then, a sound stopped him from doing so.
"Chasey, a little help here please?"
Chase turned around to see Rose desperately trying to pull out a carrot that was stuck into the dirt.
"I think that this carrot is stuck."
"Oh, I'm on my way!" Chase said as he lowered the basket on the ground before running up to assist Rose. Once he got to her, Chase grabbed one side of the carrot leaf. "Alright, on three." He told her.
"Okay."
"One... two... three!" Chase exclaimed as he and Rose both tried to pull out the carrot with each and every strengths they have. Ten seconds later, the carrot popped out of the dirt causing both Chase and Rose to lose their balance and fall on the ground.
"Oof!" Chase grunted as he fell on the ground on his back, and Rose fell on top of him.
When both foals noticed what had happened, they both laughed from the hysterical outcome that occurred after trying to force the carrot out of the dirt. Chase looked to his right and saw a pretty flower next to him, so, he grabbed it with his right hoof and stuck it on the right side of Rose's bright pink coloured hair. The action has made the filly blush furiously.
"For you beautiful." Chase said with a smile.
"Why thank you handsome." Rose said.
After that, the colt and the filly nuzzled each other before grabbing their baskets and walked back into the house.
After a scrumptious lunch time, both Rose and Chase had some free time to spare with one another so, Rose lead Chase outside to the backyard where they both played basketball with one another.
"I'm gonna block your shot Chasey!"
"Oh I don't think so." Chase said as he jumped up and threw the ball upwards to the hoop.
Rose tried to counter the hit but unfortunately, she was not able to jump high enough and the ball ended up landing through the hoop meaning that Chade has earned three points.
"Woohoo, I've won!"
"Nice shot Chasey."
"Thanks Rosey."
9:00
After a scrumptious dinner made by both Chase and Posey, the colt and the filly both had more free time and decided to spend this time playing videogames with one another due to Rose also being an avid gamer. She had Pony Kart advanced for her videogame console.
"Wow Rose, the graphics of this game is so phenomenal." Chase commented.
"Indeed, no wonder why they sold out so quick." Rose said focusing on the corners so that her character wouldn't crash into the walls. "Luckily me and mom managed to buy the last one in stocks." She added.
Halfway through the game, both Chase and Rose's character were almost at the finish line of the final race after avoiding many obstacles in the race track of this map. This could be any of their races.
"I'm gonna win!" Chase exclaimed.
"No, you're not!" Rose exclaimed as she put down her controller and attempted to snatched away Chase's.
"H-hey!" Chase laughed as he raised his controller up in the air.
As Rose was trying to snatched the controller away from Chase, the colt eventually lost is balance and fell onto his back on the couch, bringing Rose down with him. The exertion has made both foals laugh.
"I declare you the winner Rosey!"
"Yay!" Rose exclaimed in happiness as she hugged Chase.
It was dark now in Maretime Bay meaning that it was time for Chase and Rose to sleep. So, the colt and the filly both brushed their teeth with one another, took showers one at a time and wore pajamas. After that, they both made their way to Rose's bedroom and slept together on her bed.
"Goodnight Chasey."
"Goodnight Rosey."
Then, Chase turned off the lamp next to him before drifting into sleep with Rose cuddling in his soft and warm fur, and Chase resting his chin on the beautiful fillies head.

Maretime Bay 8:30am
In the city of Maretime Bay, the ponies living in the city were all seen having a stroll through their beautiful city, having a chat with one another, shopping for groceries and many more like usual in the large city. Life was perfect for the ponies.
In an area of the town, the earth pony mare Posey was seen shopping for dome fruits whe her daughter Rose and her crush Chase were planting and collecting crops happily together which made her heart really warm from the sight, she was eager to become a grandmother at some point in the future.
"Okay, that should be everything, I bet Rose and Chase would both love these fruits." Posey said with a smile.
However, before the mare could turn around and walk out of town, she heard the sounds of somepony crying not far from where she was. She looked behind her to see Sheriff Hitch and Sunny near the sheriff's station with Sunny continuing to bawl her eyes out with no stop at all. Posey must assume that the couple were missing their son Chase who had gone missing from them.
"Oh no, poor them, today is going to be their lucky day." Posey said with a smile as she walked towards the couple.
Near the sheriff's station, Sunny was seen crying non-stop ever since she woke up in the morning due to there being no signs of her son Chase anywhere, she posted missing posters everywhere in Maretime Bay, Bridlewood, and Zephyr Heights but, to no avail at all. Her son was still missing from her. Ever since his disappearance, Chase's dog Ryder would continue to bark angrily at both Sunny and Hitch due to his hatred towards them for chasing his best friend out of the house for a dumb reason.
"Baby! Please come back to me!" Sunny said while in tears.
Hitch tried desperately to cheer his wife up but, it was useless, nothing would cheer her up. The only thing that would make her smile once more was seeing her son okay again.
"Sheriff Hitch, Sunny Statscout."
When both ponies heard the familiar voice, they looked to their left to see their friend Posey walking up to then with a pleasant smile. Hitch Trailblazer immediately stood up straight from the sight to avoid any awkwardness from her, while Sunny just continued to sob and choke on her tears as she stood up.
"H-hello there Posey, w-what can I do for you." Hitch asked in an edgy tone hoping that she didn't notice the ordeal that had happened.
"Morning Sheriff Hitch, morning Sunny Starscout, are you two okay? Why are you crying?"
When Sunny heard the question, sadness filled her gain and she burster into tears, burying her face in her husband's neck in the process which nonplussed Posey due to how fast she reacted and how hard she could cry.
"My baby colt Chase ran away from us the last two nights because of our neglectful attitudes towards him, now, we can't find him anywhere! I WANT MY BABY BACK!" Sunny cried.
Posey was beyond shocked by this, she didn't knew that Sunny was missing her child Chase that much right now, even though she does blame them for provoking him to leave them after he got neglected by them but, the amount of depression and dra that is currently being put on those two was too much to bear.
"Well Sunny Starscout, you're in luck because, I've got your son Chase with me right now." Posey to her with a smile.
Sunny's eyes widened when she heard this, she stopped her crying and stared at Posey with a stern expression. She then gripped onto her shoulders which caught her off guard.
"You do?!" Sunny exclaimed and Posey nodded anxiously. "Where is he right now then?" She asked as she shook Posey's body.
"Whoa relax." Posey said in an aggravated tone as she took Sunny's hooves off of her shoulders. "He's in my house right now doing chores with my daughter happily, he is also in a healthy state as well after we found him unconscious." She replied to her.
Sunny and Hitch let out relieved and happy smiles when they heard this, their baby colt Chase was okay and is alive! They can now reunite with him and apologize to him for their horrible behaviours towards him.
"Can you take us to your house right now then please?" Hitch asked politely.
"Sure thing, follow me."
Sunny and Hitch both nodded before following Posey to the exit of Maretime Bay so that she could lead them to her house where they can reunite with Chase Trailblazer who has been very hard-working when he assisted Posey and her daughter with their chores.
"Oh I can hardly wait to see my baby again!" Sunny exclaimed eagerly.
"Me too Sunny."
After exiting the town and going on a dirt track road for ten minutes, Posey has finished guiding Sunny and Hitch to her house where she told them that Chase was in.
"Here we are." Posey told them.
"Posey, thank you so much for leading us to our son, we are extremely grateful." Hitch said.
"Anytime."
Posey then walked up to the front door of her house, after that, she pushed the door open and entered with Sheriff Hitch and Sunny Starscout entering afterwards. The yellow mare Posey began to looked to her left to see Chase baking cupcakes with her daughter in a loving way, and it seems like they've finished baking those cupcakes and were about to enjoy them.
"Hey Chase, look who's back."
Chase looked at the front door to where Posey was and couldn't believe his, eyes, next to Posey were his parents with them beginning to shed some tears.
"Chasey!" Sunny exclaimed as she ran to her son happily. When she got to him, she immediately embraced him in a hug.
"Gah!"
"Oh Chasey, oh how much I missed you my sweet baby colt, mommy loves you so much!" Sunny exclaimed as tears streamed down her cheeks like a waterfall and landed on her son's forehead. "Give mommy a kiss!" She said as she attempted to kiss her son.
When Chase noticed this, he immediately pushed himself away from his mother which got her very nonplussed. But, before she could ask him anything, the young colt stormed off outside to water the crops and get his mind off of his parents for once due to him still remembering the time they ruthlessly punished him for no reason.
Sunny let out a depressed sigh from the sight, it seems as if Chase is still very mad at her.
"From what I've heard from him, you two should at least be ashamed of yourselves for punishing him like that and making him run away." Posey told them sternly.
"Yeah, what kind of parent would do that to their own child." Rose said shooting both Sunny and Hitch a disapproved expression. After that, she began to eat the muffins.
However, Sunny was not going to give up, she was going to earn Chase's forgiveness one way or another so, she looked at Posey with a stern expression.
"Posey, do you have a spare watering bucket?" Sunny asked with a serious expression.
"Uh yeah, they're in that shack." Posey pointed.
Without warning, Sunny charged to the shack and grabbed a watering bucket, after that, she quickly made her way to the kitchen and filled the bucket up with cold water from the faucet. Ten seconds later, the bucket was filled up and she charged outside leaving both Posey and Rose shocked at how quick the apricot coloured mare was.
"What a mess she made." Rose said in annoyance from the water stains on the carpet floor.
In the garden area of Posey's house, Chase was seen calmly watering the crops in Posey and Rose's garden to get his kind off of the anger that was building up in him from the sight of his parents who he does not forgive yet. Then suddenly, the young colt heard the sound of somepony humming a gaiety tone behind him. Chase turned around to see his mother, happily watering the plants.
"Oh, how much I love watering crops and plants, it always puts me in a light mood!" Sunny commented with a delightful expression in attempt to gain her son's trust. "The sun is shining brightly, the winds are sooth, the grass are soft and many more!" She added with a smile.
Chase on the other hoof got aggravated and was not in the mood to even face his own mother due to his anger towards her. So, he raised his already empty watering bucket and walked back inside the house to put it back in the shack so that he could spend some time with Rose.
Sunny let out another depressed sigh from the sight of her own son walking away from her with hatred. It wasn't going to be easy if she wishes to regain his trust and forgiveness.
"This is gonna be harder than I thought." Sunny said with a depressed expression.

As Chase walked back into Posey's house, he walked to the shack area of her house to put back the watering bucket and hang out with Rose afterwards and assist her with her needs. During the process, he walked past his father Hitch who was attempting to talk to him and apologize by, Chase disregarded him as if he wasn't there in his sight. At this moment, Sunny walked back into the house with a depressed expression.
"After what you two did to him, this is what you two deserve." Posey said shooting them a glare. "Chase is a sweet, smart and helpful colt, he always volunteers to assist those who are in need, he is even your own son, this is how you treat him after a mistake that he didn't even do?" She asked incredulously.
Sunny and Hitch could only lower their heads in shame when they heard Posey's statement to them about what they did to their own son Chase. They did the action, now, they must face the repercussions of being disregarded by their own son due to his hatred towards them after their horrendous action towards him which he would never ever forgive. But, that wouldn't stop the two from attempting to earn his forgiveness.
At this moment, Rose walked to her lover Chase and embraced him in a hug and nuzzled him and Chase nuzzled back. The sight has shocked both Sunny and Hitch, did their son find love without them knowing?
Chase and Rose then decided to ignore both Sunny and Hitch by going upstairs to read books together which they both absolutely enjoy due to them being clever ponies at school. However, Sunny stopped them.
"Chasey wait!"
Luckily, Chase and Rose managed to stop in the nick of time. Then, the young earth pony colt looked at his mother.
"What is it now mother?" Chase asked with an aggravated expression. "Or should it be Sunny now?" He asked bitterly which made Sunny swallow a lump from hearing her son say her real name.
"Chase, we only want to have a chat with you calmly, we're not looking for any confrontations." Hitch told him in a persuading tone. "So, please?" He pleaded.
Although Chase was not in the mood in having any conversations with his parents right now due to his ongoing anger towards them but, his father's expressions seem very persuading. A brief second later, the young colt let out a sigh before walking to his parents.
"Thank you so much Chasey." Sunny said with a relieved smile.
Once Chase got to his parents, he stood approximately eight centimetres from them with Rose next to him.
"What do you two want?"
"Chase baby, you have no idea how much we've been worrying about you." Sunny told him. "We've posted missing posters of you everywhere hoping that somepony would know where you are but, to no avail." She said in a sad tone.
"Yeah, but luckily, we've encountered Posey who kindly lead us to you." Hitch said with a smile.
"Pfft, you two never cared about me last time, so, why do you even care now?" Chase asked with a raise of his right eyebrow.
"I know and we're sorry about our neglectful attitudes towards you in the past." Sunny said with an apologetic expression to her son Chase. "I didn't meant for that to happen." She finished.
"Well, you've made it clear because you didn't wanted me in my life Sunny Starscout." Chase told her. After that, the colt turned around and attempted to walk away from his parents but suddenly, somepony grabbed his hoof. Chase turned around to see his mother Sunny looking down at him with tears in her eyes.
"Chase, I'm so sorry for everything." Sunny apologized. "I've regretted from the day where I and your father should've attended game night with you but instead, we only cared about feeding Sparky." She said.
"Yeah me too." Hitch said as he walked up to his son son Chase with a sad expression of his own. "I regretted in not praising you for earning a good grade in your exams once again as well as refusing to buy you the new pony kart game causing them to sell out, I am an idiot and a horrible father for disregarding you like that." He finished.
"And when Sparky got maimed, I didn't even bothered to ask you what had happened, instead, I resorted in punishing you and hitting you." Sunny said as she bit her right hoof "You didn't provoke the situation, Sparky only fell by accident and you tried to help him calm down." She finished as tears streamed down her cheeks and Chase only nodded in response.
"Chasey baby, I'm so sorry for everything, I truly am, I didn't realise what a horrible mother I was to you. I was a moron for not listening to you, and a monster for ignoring you." She confessed in a shameful tone. "Do you think that you could forgive me and daddy for everything?" She asked.
Chase then began to ponder about this hypothetical situation. Although he is still technically a little hurt from that night, and the memory is still haunting his poor little mind. Luckily, those persuading words and the body languages of his parents managed to persuade him and give them some empathy for their actions. Therefore, Chase took a deep breath before exhaling it. After that, he looked at his parents with a smile on his muzzle.
"Yes daddy and mommy, I forgive you two." He said with a smile.
Both Sunny and Hitch began to cry tears of happiness when they heard this, then, Chase leaped towards his parents and embraced them in a loving hug and they returned the hug.
"Oh Chasey!" Sunny cried in happiness.
"Son! Welcome back!" Hitch cried in happiness too.
Posey and Rose both couldn't help but cry at the touching scene. However, Rose was seen blushing slightly due to how handsome Chase was, she has officially fell in love with the little colt.
"Chase is so handsome."
