This 5th Generation is really starting to rub off on me, but it's not coming here fast enough for me to truly enjoy it. Bridlewood, for example, is a place I wish the show could spend more time in as that place looks like it would have interesting designs, unique elements, and mystical atmospheres. Having more content would've also helped me get a better grasp on these characters for the story. I may have gotten lucky with ponies having Luminescence/Sparkle (a Flux Light in my case), but it doesn't mean that it'll always work.

Pipp is such a character that I lack a hold on. She's the kind of character that many teenage girls tend to act like at that age, the ones that casually follow a trend to appear popular and often view themselves as the idol of their story. I'm an old fashioned guy (I still use a flip phone from the start of 2010), so these kinds of characters tend to clash with me in multiple ways, but Pipp keeps finding ways to get me to like her. If it's with her instinctive actions of pulling out her phone to take a picture or her choice of words when giving out nicknames (such as Pippsqueaks and Zippsters), she keeps finding ways to get a smile out of me. She appears to be 'the chaos' of Zipp's life due to her mishaps, but I think Pipp can take it a step further as she has ways to bend her sister into doing something for her. I'm sure that she's more than what's on the surface of that celebrity image, so I'm interested and hopeful that we'll see her in a more mature light at some point in the series.

It goes without saying that Pipp is a very social character, but Zipp is the exact opposite as she's camera-shy, prefers solitude, and tends to hold her thoughts instead of sharing them with anyone. She was easier for me to grasp as I've been thinking about a character similar to her (a character that Tempest performs as in a play), but she could still use some more screen time to really dive into the internal conflict of being a princess vs being herself. In the story, I stated that Zipp was up late the night before, but never gave a clear answer as to why. The reason is because of something I call 'Moonlight Flight', where Zipp enjoys some time alone to practice on her flying skills. Call it what you will, but I just love the idea of Zipp flying around on the clear nights of a full moon (it just seems like it would blend perfectly with her character of stealth, wisdom, and discovery).

This isn't the first time I've written a story in this kind of format, but it's the first that reaches the thousand word requirement. I tried to make it as believable as possible with the added icons and appropriate timing. For example, did you notice that the time jumps over a minute or two between posts? That's because it was intended to imply that the character was thinking (after noticing and before making a lie). Those icons were a pain as they don't quite work the way I want them to and will likely cause problems if the reader were to view them in a certain way, but I felt that it would be easier on the reader's eyes to allow them to keep track of which text they're on.

I didn't have a clear idea of what I wanted when I was going into this, but it started with the idea that Sprout was impersonating Pipp in order to ask Zipp about what 'misdeeds' they were planning, only to be found out through his view of pegasi stereotypes. Sprout was quickly thrown out because he was more of a bigot towards unicorns, and the idea of him asking questions like "Wanna make fun of the Earth ponies because we can fly?" or "Remember what we did to that Earth pony the other day?" seemed too pathetic if I was trying to surprise the reader with this imposter (though I really wish that I could've kept that line about pegasi laying eggs). Eventually, I decided on the idea that the story should be focused on the sisterly bond between Pipp and Zipp while this imposter leaves subtle hints and red herrings for Zipp to see past.

As I type this, I feel like I'm pushing the freedom I have on this site with a selcouth story, but that's why my bio says that I'm here to show real creativity. I prefer to give readers a new perspective on things and to amuse them through non-traditional methods, because if I'm being honest, I don't see myself as a writer. I don't tend to find enjoyment from reading and I hardly view the many works around here, leading me to envision my own ways of storytelling with hope that it'll be compelling enough to leave a positive impression on others into wanting more. This format of writing will likely be looked down upon, but I think that as long as it's captivating, innovating, and carries a plot, then it deserves the right to entertain readers like any other story around here.
