"This is the best thing ever!!" SilverShine loudly squealed, jumping up and down like she was on a trampoline.
She was excitedly staring up at the stage in front of her, colourful spotlights were shining through the night sky. Other spotlights shone on two ponies in the center of the stage, one being a sky blue unicorn with a violet hat and cape, the other being a light purple unicorn with a purple and blue mane.
They were doing the famous Moonshot Manticore Mouth Dive, the blue pony had just landed in the mouth of a manticore on the left of the stage. A few seconds later and a black box on the right of the stage flashed
The crowd screamed with joy, as the stage curtains dropped. As everyone grew quiet fireworks appeared, booming in the sparkling, night sky.
From the crowd sat SilverShine, she was in awe, The performance was flawless. She didn't realize, but she continued to sit and wait until everyone but another foal left from the magic show.
"Hey SilverShine? Yah there?" The other foal jokingly questioned, waving one of his hooves in front of her face.
SilverShine Snapped out of her trance, "Did you see how amazing that show was, FiddleSticks?" She whispered, in complete shock.
"Eh, it was okay, I know you're into that stuff so you probably liked it better than I did, I'll give you that. Now c'mon, let's go!" FiddleSticks stated, as they started walking out from the stage view.
As FiddleSticks and SilverShine walked through Canterlot back to their homes SilverShine said, "I'm glad the Great and Powerful Trixie decided to do a show in Canterlot, I've always wanted to see it!!"
"But it's obvious that her assistant, Starlight Glimmer, does all the work. Did you see her in the back?" FiddleSticks complained.
"I want to be a magician so bad!! Do you think I could do the Moonshot Manticore Mouth Dive?" Questioned SilverShine. "I'm not sure Shine, Trixie and Starlight used magic to get free, and you're an earth pony." He reminded SilverShine, playfully pushing her.
"But I could practice all the time, until I get it perfect! I'll just have to be brave about it!!" SilverShine yelled.
"But what if you get hurt?" FiddleSticks asked, spreading out his wings. "Blasting into a manticores mouth with no way to escape, it doesn't seem brave, it just seems reckless."
"But what if I can make it?" She questioned, with a smirk.
"I don't know but, please don't try it. I have to go back home so I'll see you later," He started to fly a bit into the air but then he flew towards her face, "just please, do NOT fly into a manticore mouth if I'm gone, alright? Okay bye!"
"Okaay fine, bye FiddleSticks!!" she groaned as he flew off to Cloudsdale.
A few minutes later she walked into her house. As she walked through the door, a golden coloured unicorn filly teleported in from behind her, and SilverShine jumped.
"Hey GoldenGlow!! Stop teleporting out of the blue, you keep scaring me!!" SilverShine screamed, jumping backwards, away from GoldenGlow.
"What? You're just jealous that you're not a unicorn too?" GoldenGlow snickered.
SilverShine stood up proudly, "Of course not!! Even with my lack of magic I'm gonna be the best magician anyones ever seen!! Doesn't matter if I'm the only one in our whole family not to have a horn!!"
"But do you really think that's all it'll take?" GoldenGlow questioned, looking serious. "Well, just don't get your Hopes up okay? I don't want my favourite twin sister getting hurt."
SilverShine smiled toward her, "Heh, I'm your only twin sister!! But don't worry, I promise I won't."
Both SilverShine and GoldenGlow hugged before Silver ran farther into her house.
SilverShine galloped up a staircase, leading toward her and GoldenGlow's shared bedroom.
The room was split half and half, one side was filled with all sorts of golden awards and medals from Celestia's School For Gifted Unicorns, and magic competitions. The other side of the room was filled with posters of all different kinds of magicians from around equestria and beyond, and even a Trixie toy figure.
She walked in and towards her bed, she grabbed something from underneath her pillow, it was a deck of cards.
She grabbed the stack of cards and curled both hooves around it. Once she grabbed hold of it, she tried to spread them out to see all of the cards, but her hoof slipped and they all ended up fumbling to the ground.
"Darnet!! I was really hoping that I could do it this time!!" SilverShine groaned in frustration, "I can't even pick up a deck of cards, how could I be a magician?" She thumped onto her bed
Looking over to see her wall filled with posters, her brain flashed with images of all the time spent practicing magic, and all those days she stayed up late watching magic.
"No wait, I can't quit, I've spent too much time on this now to stop!!" She got up from her bed, "I'm never gonna give up as long as I live!!"
SilverShine jumped up with determination, as she went down to the floor to pick up all of her cards that spilled. Once she got them picked up, she sat down and tried to spread them out with her hooves again, and they fell back on the floor.
She knew that if she gave up now, that everything she had done before would've been a waste.
She picked them all up and tried again, and they fell once more. She continued practicing like this for hours and hours on end, waiting for the chance she'll get it right.

Wait and see what'll happen next!
The dark bluish-silver filly woke up in a panic from her bedroom floor, with playing cards scattered everywhere on the floor and in her mane.
She stood up quickly, and sped to the clock on her wall, "I'm late for school!!"
She ran to a standing mirror by her bed, and grabbed a brush from the dresser beside it. She twisted her hoof around the arm of the brush and started to brush her mane.
With every brush stroke, the knots in her mane straightened out and the cards fell out of her hair.
Her mane is long and wavy, with a light and dark silver ombre, and streaks of periwinkle flowing through it.
When she finished brushing through her mane and tail, she tied her mane into a bun, leaving some strands down to the sides.
She then rushed around, picking up every scattered card on the floor with her teeth. She put them in the saddle on her back, along with a couple of books.
As she ran as fast as she could out the door, and down the stairs, she noticed a little brown paper bag with her name on it on top of the kitchen counter.
She grabbed it and threw it in her saddlebag, while running out the door.
SilverShine sprinted down Canterlots busy, bustling streets, just barely missing everyone she ran past. "This is the 5th time this week!! Nononono mom’s gonna be so mad!!" She murmured to herself, still sprinting like crazy.
"Oh my gosh!! I really wish I had wings or something right now!! It'll be ages till I get to school!!" She screams, still running. Not looking where she's going, she looks up and screams as she's running toward a pillar. She was running too fast stop so all she could do was prepare for herself to-
SilverShine opens her eyes, she finds herself in the air. She looks up and FiddleSticks is holding her, flying in the air. "Phew, Sticks- I was literally about to die!! Thanks." "No prob Shine. Let's just get to school without any accidents, why don't we?" He jokes.
They're flying for a moment when they see a golden pony in front of a pile of rubble, in the distance, "Hey, isn't that your sister?" FiddleSticks inquired. "Yeaa- wait, why's she just standing there? Is she okay?"
They head down from the sky to see what was up with GoldenGlow, she was just standing there motionless, in complete shock. It looked like she could cry at any moment.
SilverShine quickly speeds over to her while FiddleSticks stays behind. Altho he looked particularly worried for her- "Hey Glow, what happened??" She asked. "Th- the school, it's closed- it’s gone." She mumbles, tears forming in her eyes. "The school WHAT!? HOW!?" She searched for an explanation and all she could find was a little poster on the ground that someone seemed to have ripped off the pillar behind it.
It read,
Celestia's School For Gifted Unicorns closed down after Celestia and Luna uncrowned themselves. This school is currently undergoing construction under Princess Twilight Sparkle’s rule. These renovations may take months, if not years to complete.
"Woah, I- Glow, are you gonna be okay?" SilverShine asks.
"Everything I've worked for, Everything I've done. All for nothing, I- what do I even do now?? Where do I go??"
FiddleSticks interrupts GoldenGlow saying, “Awwe Glow, it’s not ‘end of the world’’! It’s only for a few months probably, it’s gonna be okay.”
SilverShine was thinking about one of the only other people that she had met that had gone to this magic school. “Sapphire Salvias!!”
“Oh my gosh, you're right!! should we go find her, and tell her?” FiddleSticks questioned.
“Wait, who- oh wait, I've heard of her. Isn’t she insanely smart? She never does any of the work, but I've seen in her desk, everything that she HAS done was flawless.” GoldenGlow inquires.
SilverShine seems a bit confused.
“Yup, that sounds like the one.” FiddleSticks interrupts her thought. She didn't really know who Sapphire was, just that she meant alot to FiddleSticks. She had no idea Sapphire was such a genius, maybe she can help her with magic tricks later- Off topic, she has to focus!
Before she could say anything, a loud, sparkling, popping sound came from behind them. They turn around to find Sapphire standing behind them. She jogs toward the school without looking, and bumps straight into the pillar that once held the poster.
“ACK- Ouch! Sorry about tha- Oh- It’s… Just a pillar.” Sapphire squealed.
“Pfft! Sorry Sapph!”
“Hey, uhh- What are you guys doing here…?? What's up with the school?? Oh, I must have teleported to the wrong plac-”
“No no! You got the right place, it's just.. The schools kinda.. Closed- for now.” FiddleSticks attempts to explain, as GoldenGlow passes the poster to Sapphire with her levitation magic.
She reads what it says for almost half a minute before dropping the poster onto the ground. “That’s insane- Does this mean I can go home? Will I ever have to go to school again?” Sapphire questions with ignorant bliss.
“Oh please Salvias. Don't be ridiculous, you would be homeschooled if you decided not to transfer.” GoldenGlow explains.
“Oh… My parents don't really have the time for that-” Sapphire mutters in disappointment.
Where are they gonna go? It's not like there's another pristine school like that for miles. The only other school near this is… Minuettes School of Education! The school FiddleSticks and I go to! Oh no, we should be there right now! But we can't just leave them here, oh what do we do?
“You guys should probably get to your classes, you don't want to be late.” GoldenGlow says reluctantly. “Salvias, you wanna hang out at my house for a bit? I'm sure we can miss school today because of the short notice.”
“Yeah sure, I don't mind missing class either way.” Sapphire Agrees.
FiddleSticks walks over to SilverShine and asks “Shall we leave then?”
“I guess..” SilverShine answers, climbing onto FiddleSticks back to fly to school.
Wishing she could do something to make GoldenGlow feel any better about this, SilverShine and FiddleSticks fly off to their own school to start their day.
