Chapters Married couples; they are those that are either recently wed or stayed with each other for years of sheer divine love. They always do what they can to support each other, but what if there was something that was beyond their control? This was the feeling that Dean Cadance was feeling at the moment as she was driving home one fateful afternoon after a trip to the grocery store to grab some things to cook later for dinner and a movie to watch for the night. She would normally have the radio on to listen to music, but she had it off for the time as she was not in a good mood. The mood was more solemn as she continued to drive to her home, her heart heavy after the events that took place three and a half weeks ago.
“What do you mean I’m infertile?” a stunned Shining Armor said as he was with his wife Cadance in the medical clinic. He had a look of pure shock on his face as did Cadance as she covered her mouth. Shining Armor couldn't believe it. It had to be a mistake of some kind.
“I’m sorry sir,” the medical doctor said as he flipped through the test results from both Cadance and Shining. “For your wife Cadance, it shows that she is very healthy, but you have a medical condition that is preventing you from bearing any children.”
“Isn’t there any medication that can deal with this?” Cadance asked.
“There’s no way to truly take care of this Ms. Cadance. I’m sorry,” he said as he got up from his seat. “This is a medical condition that can’t be fixed. I’m sorry.”
Those were the last words that he said with a somber sigh as Shining and Cadance leave the Clinic disheartened.
That was only a few weeks ago and she was trying to make the most of the situation as she wanted to comfort Shining after this news and turn of events. After rounding another corner, she arrived at her house and pulled up into the driveway. It's a beautiful two-story house with a high, wooden fence around the front and backyard and has trimmed bushes all around the inside of the fence. In the backyard is an outdoor pool with a jacuzzi and the roof is covered in glazed tile. Getting out of her car, she opens the back of it, takes out her groceries and closes and locks the car door. She then walked towards the front door of her house and keyed herself inside.
“Shining, I’m home,” Cadance called out as she walked into her home. She walked into the living room that had blue carpet floors and a soft round couch with reclining chairs at each end. The TV is on the wall and has an entertainment center directly below it as well as some side tables with lamps on them. “Shining?” She asked as she looked around for him, but noticed that he wasn’t around.
The kitchen had smooth, white tile floors and a black table big enough for 4 people, a secret door in the corner leading into the pantry where some of the food is. Sitting behind her was an oven with 8 stoves, and the oven can cook 2 dishes at once. They also had a brand new refrigerator that had a water and ice dispenser built into it. She had a long day and a lot to think about, but she set the groceries on the table and walked towards the living room. She then heard footsteps from upstairs and turned around to see Shining Armor walking down in a blue and white bathrobe.
“Oh, Hey Cady,” He said as he walked over to his wife. “How was your trip to the grocery store?”
“It’s fine, just had to get some things for our list,” she added. She was about to walk back to the grocery bags, but Shining stopped her.
“Here, let me get that,” he told her.
“Honey, are you sure?” she asked. “I’m still good, it wasn’t hard for-”
“I’m sure, just take it easy,” he told her as he walked towards the kitchen and began to put away grocery bags. Cadance sighed as she knew that she wasn’t going to talk him out of this and began to walk upstairs.
Cadance sighed as she walked towards another room that was slightly open. It was the baby room for when they would have a daughter, but she let out a sigh as she pushed it open. She turned on the light to reveal the baby room that she and Shining planned to use. The baby room has a crib by the window and a set of plush toys in the corner, as well as a drawer for the baby's clothes. She sighs and leaves the room before walking back to her and Shining Armor’s Bedroom. Opening the door, she turned on a light, and walked inside and slumped onto the bed with a somber look in her eyes.
“Why did things have to turn out like this?” she said to herself as she recounted the events that happened over the few weeks that happened when those test results for Shining came back. The Five stages of Grief.
The first stage was Denial; Both Candace and Shining Armor first began to deny what the doctor said on the drive back. They start talking about how they don't believe the doctor was right and probably got the test wrong. They followed up by spending the week trying to cheer themselves up and still try having a baby. That was week one.
The second stage was Anger; after the realization of Shining’s sterility finally settled in, they were angry at how unfair the situation was for them. Mostly for Shining Armor, growing increasingly frustrated over the first three days of the second week. It eventually boiled over into a rather big fight they had where in his anger, he struck Cadance on her left cheek. He didn’t realize what he did and looked back at Cadance with shock as she had tears running down her face. He realized what he did and was ashamed of himself for that. He later calmed down and they made up and apologized, but Shining would give her some space after that.
The third stage was Bargaining; The following weekend after that, they began to attend a church to try and bargain with faith to have a chance to start a family. After their anger subsided and they made up, they began to try to bargain and beg whatever karma or god they thought would listen. They already helped with charity services but now they were increased the amount of time and effort they put into it. Hoping that by the more good they did, the more likely they would be to get a baby. Whether it be from simple tasks like helping to clean up litter or putting a little more money in the offering plate at church. To help out soup kitchens and other programs.
The fourth stage was depression; It was at this state that they realized that there was nothing that they could do. Both of them took time off of their jobs and just sat at home. They didn’t really speak to one another or even sleep in the same room. Cadance just slept alone in her room and Shining as they spent the next week just not doing anything. They would just go day by day, not even getting out of bed some days. They were both defeated as there was nothing that they could do and let this news sit in for the week.
Then there was the fifth stage acceptance; After battling their depression, they finally began to come to terms with their situation. Even though this was a huge tragedy for them, they realized that things could be so much worse. They took comfort in the fact that they had each other and they knew they would always stick by each other's side. Slowly, they began to get back into their old routines, but making sure to spend as much time with each other as possible for emotional support and to comfort each other. After a while, the pain while still there, started to dull. If only slightly.
And that was what led to now as they did think about another option, but Cadance could feel that her husband was defeated after learning of his condition.
“Maybe we could try for adoption,” she said to herself with a sigh. Around that time, she heard a low hum from her dresser. She turned her head towards the sound and saw that it was her cell phone ringing. She tapped the button and looked to see who it was and saw that it was a familiar screencap of a green clover.
“Hello?” she said with a sigh.
“Hey Cady!” a female voice said enthusiastically, getting her attention.
“Hey Chrissy,” Cadance said as she sat up from her bed and continued the call. “How are you doing?”
“Doing just great,” she said with enthusiasm. “Just wanted to thank you again for giving me the job as the new principal at Crystal Prep two months ago.”
“I’m actually glad we could have you,” Cadance added. “Ever since Principal Cinch was fired, a lot of students no longer lived in fear of her and began to come forward for the trauma that they endured for so long. Even my sister in law had to deal with bullying for something that was beyond her control.”
“No kidding, her stunt actually made it to national news and even the school board there was disgusted by the level of corruption just to try and keep up their reputation,” Chrysalis added. “Her actions actually brought down the school’s reputation and they had to make a decision because of it.”
“I had to hug my sister after that incident, saying how sorry I was that she endured all of that under me and Shining Armor’s noses,” she added. She still remembered the day that Cinch got arrested when the FBI was involved for what happened. Last time she saw Cinch, she was dragged away in handcuffs, but not before she smacked one of the officers in the face and tried to make a break for it. She ended up trying to rush at Twilight, screaming at her how it was her fault only to be tackled by nearby officers and tased a short while later. Twilight only came back to clear out her belongings from her dorm to move back to her house.
“If anything she got what she deserved,” Chrysalis added. "I’m surprised that she smacked one of the officers that arrested her. But even more so when she tried to make a break for it, only to get her ass tackled and tased. Something tells me that bitch won't be making parole anytime soon.”
“Considering that she got arrested for multiple charges. That includes harassment, intimidation, abuse of authority, blackmail, withholding of credentials, and manipulation. I'm surprised that she wasn’t charged for assault.”
“No kidding, but I’ll give your sister my condolences,” she added. “How is she by the way?”
“Oh, she and Sunset are going out with their boyfriends Eternal Flames and Heat Blitz,” Cadance added. “They were enjoying their dates for awhile after they graduated and Twilight is actually much happier with her friends and boyfriend.”
“I actually talked to her old colleagues and they actually went and apologized to her for how they treated her and taking their anger out of her for what they had to deal with from Cinch,” Chrysalis added. “Most of the students and staff were actually glad that she lost her job, and the board directors were appalled by what she’s done.”
“I’m glad at least everyone is having a good two months,” Cadance replied, though her voice got a little shaky and slightly broke from getting choked up. The sounds that she heard didn't go unnoticed by Chrysalis.
"Cadence? Is… something wrong?" Chrysalis asked.
"Huh? Of course, heh… why do you ask?" Cadence asked back.
"Come on, Cadence. You and I can both tell when one of us is troubled by something. I could hear it in your voice. There's no need to hide it, you can tell me anything." Chrysalis assured.
"Oh… alright, you win." Cadence sighed in defeat. "A few weeks ago…my husband and I went to a medical clinic for an examination. We ran some tests and we ran into a bit of a snag in our plans for starting a family. Come to find out… Shining is sterile. And we've been trying our hardest to conceive for a while, but had no luck. So, when the news came out, it left us in a real pickle."
“I’m guessing you went through the five stages of grief?” Chrysalis added with a sigh.
“Sigh, yes,” she said with a sigh. “And it happened over the span of a month.”
“Was wondering why you took time off last week,” Chrysalis added. “It spelled a red flag for me and I felt something was off. You were trying to start a family and it didn’t work out. Also thanks for that massive back long of work when you and Shining Armor called in like that.” she said that last part in a dull tone, making Cadance blush in response.
"Yeah. Shining and I are still kinda upset about it, but… overtime we've learned to accept it. So, now you know the truth. Sorry I kept this a secret from you," Cadence said. “And for leaving you with a massive workload.”
“It’s okay, so as of right now, you and Shining aren’t sure of what to do at the moment?” she asked.
“Right now, we aren’t” Cadance added. “I was thinking about adoption, but I don’t know how Shining armor would feel if he was raising a child of someone that he doesn’t know.”
“Then what if it was someone that he did know?” she added, confusing Cadance.
"What do you mean "someone” he did know?" Cadence asked.
“I’ll fill you in when I arrive at your place,” she added with enthusiasm in her voice. “I just need to distract a certain someone in my life for the time being. And I’m also gonna call a few old friends of mine to make sure Shining Armor is well taken care of.” After that she hangs up the phone, leaving Cadance even more confused.
“Who is she talking about?” she added with a confused glance as she looked out her bedroom window.
Somewhere in the northern west part of the city at a nearby villa sat a one-story house with a garage on the side and a freshly-cut lawn in the front. There's no fence surrounding it, but it does have an advanced security system. A familiar green haired woman just hung up the phone and got up from her bed with a smile on her face.
Chrysalis just ended her reunion call with Cadance as she smiled to get her plan in motion. She was in the master bedroom, which has a big closet full of her and her lover's clothes, a big wooden drawer with a mirror and their bed is right under a window that overlooks the neighborhood. Sitting on a dresser sat a picture of her along with her lover Israel Yabuki sharing a selfie with each other and she decided to frame it. She was only dressed in a flimsy green robe that hugged her curves elegantly as she walked out of the master bedroom towards the living room. Next door was the guest room that they don’t use, but they plan to make use of it for when they do have guests later.
Soon she walked into the living room, which was just through the hallway. The interior living room with a wooden floorboard, smooth, but can be slippery. A couch with a built-in bed inside and a smart TV on an entertainment system. And a coffee table in the center. Right next to them was the kitchen, which has the same floorboard as the living room. It has a small, round table for two and a well-stocked fridge, as does one of the cupboards, which has plenty of food and spices. There's 1 bathroom in the entire house located in the hallway next to where the washer and dryer are. They have 2 bedrooms, the master bedroom, which they share and there's an empty guest room.
Sure enough, she found her lover happily watching TV in the room, not noticing that she walked in. This was her lover Israel Yabuki who dated this bombshell of a counselor who was also now living with her after he started college two years ago. He was dressed in only his boxers and t-shir and his messy white hair covered his right eye as he was watching TV and reading the newspaper to try and see if there were any job listings for him to try and apply for. Seeing how oblivious he was being, she decided to be a little cheeky and sneak up behind him.
“Okay, so it looks like they’re hiring at the mall for a sushi joint,” he said to himself as he flipped through the pages. “Oh, they need a computer wiz and a convenience store. Maybe I can-”
At that moment he was cut off as he felt something soft press against his head and his vision was blocked by two very soft and voluptuous mounds pressing into the back of his head. “Guess who~?”
He'd give a light chuckle and start stroking his chin and say. “Hmm... I know this one. It's on the tip of my tongue... Ah-ha, could it be my precious bombshell beauty, Chryssie?”
“Give my stud a medal,” she added as she shifted her position and got off of his head.
"Chryssie, you're a hell of a woman. Coming up with all these funny, sexy ways to get my attention. Does this goofball really amuse you that much to want to tease him?" He asked playfully.
"Why not? You're just too adorable for me to tease. Besides, I figured you could use some livening up since you seemed to be a little... stressed out from your searches." Chrysalis replied, stroking his chin and kissing his cheek.
"True, babe. I dunno where I'd be without you. So, what have we got on today's agenda?" he asked before kissing her back.
"Oh, I've got something big planned out for today and I might need your help later on. But for now, you just keep on relaxing and searching though the help wanted ads, or better yet, use my laptop to find some work." Chrysalis adds before heading back upstairs.
"Huh? What do you mean?" Israel asked. "Are you going somewhere? Should I come with you?"
"No, don't worry. I'm only going to be visiting a friend of mine. But, you might want to change into some pants before I get back, since we might be having some company over later on." Chrysalis said.
"Well, okay. By the way, you know how I love it when your ass jiggles through your robe. Maybe later on, I'll stuff you like a turkey on Thanksgiving, would you like that?"
“I’d love that stud, but save that for tonight,” she added as she walked back to the master bedroom. “I’ll have a special surprise for you, one that you’re really going to enjoy.”
“Look forward to it love,” he told her as he walked towards the kitchen to see what was in the fridge to drink while taking out Chrysalis’s laptop. “Same password as before?”
“That’s right,” she told him as she walked back towards their room. Opening the door, she easily let her flimsy green robe fall to the floor as she walked towards the closet. She walked over to her closet, but stopped at the last second to admire herself and her curvy figure. She was proud of her body and she treated it as if it were a temple. All she wanted was some rest when she got home. Which he did and he offered her some water. A couple of days later, she tries looking for him and she sees him heading off to the park, alone. She confronts him, recalling him from the other night and thanking him for helping her. Soon, they walked around the park, talking up a storm, mostly about who they were and what they did. Then they start talking about... well... everything. Within a week, they start dating. Since then they've been there for each other and even made love a few times.
After admiring herself for a few more minutes, she relaxed and walked into her closet and pulled out a spring green and teal blue crop top, with a heart-shaped opening in the center to show off a bit of cleavage, and a pair of blue jeans that hugged her modest ass lovingly. Putting on a pair of low high heels, she walked back to the living room to see her lover using her laptop to try and find job listings.
“I’m gonna go visit a friend of mine,” she said with a smile on her face as she walked to her oblivious hunk still trying to find job listings. “I’ll be back in a bit.” She followed up by kissing him on the left cheek, making him blush a bit. She then walks out of the front door and locks it behind her, walking over to her 2020 Chevy Corvette and starting the engine with her key.
“If my plan goes through, you’re going to have quite the show, Israel,” she said to herself as she changed gears and drove out of her driveway and into the city.
Chrysalis would be driving through the city thinking about what Cadance said and what she would have planned for her, her husband and Chrysalis’s lover. Along the way, she stopped at a red light and was waiting for it to turn green. Around that time, she heard a horn honking behind her, causing her to turn around. As soon as she saw the car though, she grimaced as she spotted a familiar Red Dodge Ram 2500 and had music blaring from the speakers.
“Fucking hell,” she groaned as the truck pulled up and the owner rolled it’s windows down. Chrysalis mentally groaned, realizing that it was the same man who broke her heart all those years ago.
“Hey Chrissie,” he said in a dark, yet mocking tone, having his left arm on the side with his calm yet shrewd smirk.
“Hello Solid Rock…” she had to prevent herself from throwing up just from mentioning his name.
“It’s been at least three year since we last talked, how’ve you been?” he asked, his eyes darting more to her rather large bosom. It made her sick to her stomach that she fell for a bastard like him, and how his disgusting eyes were ogling her lady bits.
“Fuck off you asshole,” she told him, much to his shock and surprise.
“Hey now where do you-”
“I already know your sick twisted game with how you play women's hearts time and time again,” she told him, cutting him off. “If you think I’m going to fall for you again, you’re sorely mistaken. I already have a new man in my life and he at least knows how to treat me with the respect that I deserve.”
“The guy you’re dating must be a pussy then,” he responded, making Chrysalis angrily grip the front of her wheel. “But hey it’s your loss, you’re never gonna find another guy with a dick like mine.”
She felt her blood boiling. Every word that he spoke only wanted to make her break his bones. She still hated him even now, but she already knew how to counter his snide remark. She smirked and turned to her former lover.
"You’re right about one thing.... he's not your size... he's way bigger than your little pincher wiener. Stick that up your ass if you even can, limp dick."
Soon as the light turned green, she drove off, leaving her ex in utter shock and disbelief.
Despite the current run in with her ex, it was more or less a pleasant drive to Cadance’s home. She pulled up to their driveway and parked her car in front of their house. She gets out of her car, locks it and then walks up to their front door. Soon as she rings the doorbell, she hears footsteps on the other side.
“Who is it?”
“It’s me, Cady,” Chrysalis called out. The door would suddenly fling open to reveal Cadance with a smile on her face. Dean Cadance is wearing a sky blue tank top with dark purple jean shorts that barely covers her fine ass. Right next to her was Shining Armor, who was wearing a dark gray short-sleeved shirt and black jeans. Both Cadance and Chrysalis shared a friendly hug as they greeted each other.
“Mind if I come in?” she asked them with a smile on her face.
“Of course,” she said as she and Shining moved out of the way with a smile on their faces. Cadance then walked over to the kitchen and pulled out a pitcher of tea and a few cups to share and set them on the table in the living room. Chrysalis smiled as she sat down and began to have tea with Cadance and Shining Armor.
"I heard the news about your little… predicament. And first of all, I wanna say how sorry I am to hear about it. Will you be able to pull through at all, Shining?" Chrysalis asked.
"I suppose. I'm not too proud of the situation I'm in, but I guess I'll just have to live with it. Wait… how did you know about my medical condition?" Shining asked.
"Cadence told me. I gave her a call to thank her for hiring me at Crystal Prep. But then, I noticed her voice was a bit… shaky, so I asked what was up. At first, she didn't wanna talk about it and tried sweeping it under the rug, but I persisted. That's when she told me that… you learned about being sterile. Again, sorry for your condition," Chrysalis explained.
“It’s not your fault,” he said with a sigh "I just wish I could've found out how I got it earlier, then maybe then I'd be able to prevent it and be able to reproduce. But, as you can see, I'm too late on that."
"Anyways you said that you wanted to help us,” Cadance began in a quiet tone. “But the way you brought it up, made it pretty vague.”
“Yes, I was talking about surrogacy ,” she added.
“Surrogacy?” they both asked at the same time.
“It’s a form of third-party reproduction in which a woman consents to carry a pregnancy for intended parent(s) who cannot conceive for medical reasons or those who are a gay couple,” she followed up. “
“I’d rather not have anonymous donors that I don’t know,” Shining Armor added with a nervous tone. “I’ve heard stories about some corrupt doctors that try to live out their sick perverted fantasies.”
“Then what if it was someone that you did know?” Chrysalis added as she took a sip of her tea.
“What do you mean?” Cadance asked in confusion. “You mean asking one of our relatives?”
"No, not a relative, per sae. I was thinking more like… one of your close friends, someone you can wholeheartedly trust," Chrysalis clarified.
"A close friend? Well, I guess it'd be alright, but I wouldn't know who to turn to." Shining said. "Did you have someone in mind?"
"Hmm, I do know one person who might be willing to help with your predicament." Chrysalis said, building up their hopes.
"Well, spill it, Chryssie, who do you have in mind?" Cadence asked.
Chrysalis then put down her empty cup and breathed in with a smile. "Are the two of you familiar with… Israel Yabuki?" Chrysalis asked.
Shining and Cadence both blinked in surprise. "Oh, him?" Shining chuckled. "I can't believe I didn't think of that sooner."
"You know about him?" Cadence asked.
"Sure do. He's one of my sister's best friends. They went to school together. He's a total card, but a really nice guy. I actually met the guy a few times and I can tell from the way he acts, he's definitely cool in my book." Shining confirmed.
"Well, that's nice and all, but are you even sure he'll be willing to volunteer to help us out? I'll allow it, but shouldn't we ask him first?" Cadence asked.
"Same here. I have no problems with him solving our "child" problem, but I think he deserves to know the truth," Shining added, agreeing with his wife.
"I know, that's why I plan to surprise him when I bring you over to my house, Cadence," Chrysalis said, confusing the Crystal Prep Principal.
"W-Wait, he's at your house? What's he doing there?" Cadence asked.
"Oh, I thought you knew, already. You see… Israel and I… have been dating for 2 years now. He's currently living at my place while he's job searching." Chrysalis confessed.
“Well I’m happy for you, but what are you getting at Chryssie?”
“I’ve been wanting to surprise him with something special for awhile now,”
"Surprise him? For what reason? Has he done something for you that merits his actions?" Cadence asked.
"Well, since he's helped me a lot over the past 2 years in our relationship without expecting anything in return, I want to surprise him by… having you and I give him a night that he'll NEVER forget. If you know what I mean," Chrysalis winked.
Cadence's cheeks turned bright red while Shining's eyes shrunk in disbelief to what Chrysalis had proposed.
“You mean you want me to-”
“Yep, but I had a cosplay idea in mind and you’ll recognize it when you see it,” she added, and then turned to Shining Armor with a smirk. “I also don’t want your husband to be left out of the loop.”
“W-what’re you getting at?”
“You remember that I used to work at a strip club before you hired me?
"Yes and I recall you used to be the top stripper in the joint. Why bring this up?"
“Well I was thinking that if you’re helping me with this, that I can hire a few escorts for Shining for the night while we have our fun,” she added with a smile. “Both of them are personal friends of mine and were very glad at my new position.”
“Are they strippers that you know?” Cadance asked a little worriedly. “I’d rather not have Shining sleep with someone I’m not familiar with.”
“Of course they are,” Chrysalis added. “A pair of old roommates I had known named Peachy Keen and Kandy Kisses. They're considered the highly demanded babes in the business. But don't worry, they're as humble as they can get when it comes to life outside the club."
"Well… if you're sure about them, then… I guess I can allow it. As long as they treat my husband with care," Cadence hesitantly agreed.
“Good,” she said with a smile as she stood up and grabbed Cadence by her arm, stunning her.
“Wh-what’re you doing?”
“Well I need you to get your costume ready for what we’re about to do honey,” she added as she was already pulling Cadance towards the door., but not before turning to Cadance’s confused husband. “And I’ll call them in a few hours. Shining, they’ll be seeing you soon.”
"Uh… okay then? Have fun, you two," Shining waved as his wife and her friend left the house. “I kinda wonder what these two are like…”
Cadance and Chrysalis soon got int her car and drove out of the driveway. As they were driving through the city, Cadance was the first to spark up a conversation with her old friend as she turned on the radio to listen to her favorite song .
“So Chrysalis,” Cadance asked, turing to her friend who was listening to the song. “How did you and Israel meet? He seems rather younger compared to your other boyfriends that you had in your previous time. You never had any good luck, but with how you make Israel sound, he seems like a perfect match despite the seven year age gap.”
"Believe me, it came as a surprise knowing I'd fall for someone who's barely an adult. But somehow, it happened. Two years ago, when my old boyfriend ghosted me, I was so pissed off I went to the pub to… unwind. But I couldn't spend too much since I needed to reserve what little money I had left. So, I left some time later, half-drunk out of my mind. Then… fate intervened in the form of that yellow goofball with long, silver hair and hazel green eyes." Chrysalis sighed with a smile.
"Really? What was he doing out so late?" Cadence asked.

Before he could pull the trigger though, he is tackled into the wall by Dark Renegade, Israel's older brother and former cop, leaving both of Pseudo's arms broken. The gun goes off in the process, but luckily it didn’t hit anybody. Now they added attempted murder charges and the judge himself says that he’s lucky he isn’t getting the death penalty.
Now that he's been put away, the people can breathe a sigh of relief. Israel had to spend a few days at home after the incident since that doc stabbed him with the scissors. Luckily for him, it didn't puncture any vital organs, but the sucker stung like hell.
For more good news, thanks to Israel's help, Cadence found out she had gotten pregnant with his child and can't wait for when she finally delivers in less than 9 months. Still… as beautiful as it was, it still didn't change the fact that Shining couldn't conceive a child of his own. On the bright side, Chrysalis did give him a pill that increased his… manhood in size. Now he and Israel were the same size down below.
Right now, with Cadence and Chrysalis pregnant, they both had to stay home. Luckily, both ladies were keeping each other company at Shining's house. Speaking of which, Shining went out for a guy's night out feast with a few of his comrades and Israel for a feast to celebrate putting the madman away for good. But unlike Shining and his comrades, Israel was not much of a fan of alcohol, mostly preferred soda.
"You should've been a cop, Israel. You've got some serious balls to take on that maniac," Shining said.
"Nah, I'll leave the police business to you guys. Besides, I could barely wear him down with this lanky body. I ain't as built-up and bulky as you or your buddies here," Israel pointed out.
"Hey, don't sell yourself out so easily, soldier. What you did out there was very brave. True, you did get a flesh wound right on your hip there, but you took it like a man and helped bring that sucker to justice." Cop 1 pointed out.
"And remember this. Even if you're not a cop, you still have the heart of one. Anyone can make a difference in their own way," Cop 2 said.
"Thanks guys." Israel nodded. "Still… I just wish Shining wasn't sterile. He deserves to have a kid of his own."
"Hey, it's okay, buddy. I'm just happy I got good friends by my side," Shining said before taking a sip of his beer.
"You know, there might just be a way to get back his fertility, but I'm not sure if it'll actually work." Cop 2 said.
"Huh? What do you mean?" Israel asked.
"Here's the thing. At one point in my life, I found out I was sterile, due to a medical condition. But I wasn't a victim of malpractice. My doctor made an honest mistake during surgery years ago. Then, 5 years later, I was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. I not only needed an operation, but an organ donation. After months of waiting, someone gave me a brand new pancreas. After I recovered, not only was I healthy… the doctors also found out I was fertile again." Cop 2 explained thoroughly.
"Whoa… So… you became sterile because your doctor made a mistake. Then you got cancer 5 years later, then later you were cured of cancer AND you got your fertility back just from an organ donation?" Israel asked.
"That's about the gist of it. And if possible, I think your friend Shining here might have a shot at regaining his fertility back, too." Cop 2 said.
"However, I doubt just any organ'll work for him. It has to be of the same blood type as the patient, otherwise it'll mess up your entire system." Cop 1 added.
"Hmm… well, I suppose I could see if I can donate my pancreas," Israel said.
"Are you sure about this, Israel? You've already done so much for me and Cadence," Shining asked, unsure and concerned.
"It's okay. I've helped you out with one other favor, what's so bad about another?" Israel asked, smiling warmly.
"Shining, you've got some real good friends." Cop 1 said in approval.
"Yeah. I sure do," Shining said. So, the gang kept on enjoying their feast and drinking the night away and waited for the day they'd head back to the hospital for a new operation. But… will Israel's organs match Shining's in terms of blood type?
Later on, the guys told their ladies about their organ donation plan. Although they were concerned at first, they supported their lovers all the way. So, later on after everyone finished work, they visited the hospital a week later in order to test and see if their problems would finally be solved.
Both men waited in a single hospital room, along with their lovers. The nurse, who goes by Redheart, came in with the test results.
"Well boys. . . I'm sorry to say this, but Israel's blood type is incompatible with Shining's." Redheart said.
"Oh no," Israel said, feeling down.
"I'm sorry. As nice an offer it was, the results speak for themselves," Redheart said, showing the blood test results. Israel read the results, as did the others.
"Well, so much for that." Shining said.
"The point is you both tried and that's what matters." Cadence said.
"Yes, I agree. Perhaps maybe we shou--" Chrysalis paused as she stared more at her lover. "Israel, babe… is something wrong?"
"Hang on a minute. Shining's blood type… I recognize this type." Israel said.
"What do you mean?" Cadence asked.
"I mean, I know someone who has this same blood type as Shining." Israel pointed out.
"Really? Who's is it?" Shining asked, feeling curious.
Israel reads the results more carefully and confirms it. "Shining… your blood type might actually be the same as my older brother's Dark Renegade!"
"Your brother?" Shining asked.
"I'm positive. Perhaps if I can convince him, maybe he can donate one of his organs to you. Not all of it, but maybe part of it might be enough." Israel said. "Nurse Redheart, is it possible?"
"As long as this other person is the same blood type, the operation will work." she nods.
After that, the group all headed back into the main lobby where they would discuss their plans.
"Let's see if my brother's not too busy for this operation," Israel said, about to get his phone out.
"Slow down, big man. We won't even know for sure if he wants to donate part of his organ. This is a very serious procedure. You have to ask him first if he's okay with it," Chrysalis pointed out.
"On a side note, I'm not so sure I'm comfortable with him being the donor of all people. He's not exactly all there when it comes to certain principles." Shining said.
"Are you talking about how he got booted from the police force?" Israel asked.
"What's wrong, Shining? Don't you want this?" Cadence asked.
"Of course I do, it's just that… well, Dark Renegade was my colleague. He was one of the best police officers on the force and he threw it away because almost killed a couple of teenagers. How do I know I can trust him?" Shining asked.
"Shining, those teenagers he attacked were vandalizing people's cars, he taught them a lesson, albeit a harsh one, but a lesson nonetheless." Israel pointed out.
"A lesson that gave them PTSD." Shining argued.
"Honey, I know he wasn't the best when it came to restraint, but don't let the bad memories cloud the good memories. Remember back at the trial when Pseudo almost killed you? Dark jumped in without hesitation and saved you. If that's not a certified former officer, then I don't know what is." Cadence said.
Shining took a moment to process everything. Weighing out his options and if he should or shouldn't go through with it. In the end, he had to admit that Dark did save his keister more than a few times over.
"Okay, I'm not gonna lie, he has always had my back, cop or not. So… I guess if he wants to, I'll take whatever help I can get." Shining said.
"You heard him, sweetheart," Chrysalis said.
"Way ahead of ya." Israel then dialed his brother's number and waited for him to pick up. He soon picks up on half of the 3rd ring. "Hey bro, can I ask you a favor? A really big one?"
"Sounds serious. Whatcha need, little man?" Dark asked.
"Well… I'mma have to break it down to you," Israel said before explaining the situation.
"Oh-ho, is that right? So, our ol' Shining star needs my help again?" Dark asked.
"Yeah. Any chance you'd be willing to lend another helping hand?" Israel asked.
"Just tell me when and you can consider it done," Dark replied.
"Alright. Thanks, bro." Israel then hung up and… "Shining… looks like we're gonna restore your legacy after all."
Cadance, Shining, Israel and Shining Armor were out at the park enjoying a picnic on a calm summer day. A year had passed with Cadance, and Chrysalis happily holding their Children. Both of them were joined by their husbands Israel and Shining Armor as Cadance’s son Orichalcum was being cradled in her arms, and Chrysalis’s daughter Danaus was currently being rocked in a stroller.
“You know it’s pretty crazy,” Shining Armor said as he looked at the son and daughter with a smile on her face. “If it wasn’t for our old highschool creep show messing with me, I wouldn't have met with you and we wouldn’t have these two right now.”
“Hey, it did allow this to happen and you both now have a family,” Israel said with a smile. “I’m glad that Twilight and the others accepted them with love.”
“It’s because they know you and are happy for me and Cadance as well,” Chrysalis teased with a smirk. “I’m also glad that Shining’s operation was a success.”
“How is your brother doing by the way?” Cadance asked turning to Israel.
“Oh he was hired as a security guard at the local bank,” he brought up showing a photo of him baggin five crooks with rope when they tried to rob the place. “He told me that one of them tried to shoot a child so he broke his arm because of it.”
“Guess that serves him right,” Chrysalis responded. “I’ve heard that criminals in prison don’t last long if they cause any harm to a child.”
“Speaking of which, what happened to Surge when he was sent to prison?” Cadance asked. “I heard that he escaped and had a bounty put on his head.”
“My brother happened,” he added as he brought up a story that Israel's brother Dark renegade did. It was about three months into Pseudo Surge’s imprisonment and he was already able to find a way to escape after that. Cadance and Chrysalis were immediately put under witness protection and A bounty was put on his head and Dark Renegade was the first to find and track him. The idiot tried to fight him, but by the time that Renegade was done with him, his mind was utterly fractured. “Let’s just say that he’ll never be a threat to anyone ever again. I heard that he’s been put in solitary confinement after that escape attempt.”
“I’m just glad that monster is finally out of my life after what he’s done and to everyone else's lives that he’s affected,” Cadance added with a sigh, cradling her son.
“Speaking of children, when do you think you’re gonna have your husband knock us up?” Chrysalis added with a smile, making Cadance and Shining flinch in response.
“C-chrysalis, don’t joke about that,” she stuttered in response to him.
“I gotta agree,” Shining added. “Why would you say something like that?”
“Who said I was joking,” she said with a smirk. “I think it’s only fair seeing as my husband knocked up your wife and me.”
"Chryssie and I have decided and think it's only fair that Shining gets a chance to knock up his own wife… along with mine," Israel said, turning to his love bug wife, holding her hand. He stared down at the wedding ring he got her.
"But, Israel… are you sure you two are willing to let me do that?" Shining asked.
"My brother's organ donation got you your fertility back, why not take it for a test drive? It's not just for show, you know." Israel shrugged.
“Besides, I don’t mind looking after another baby, especially if it means I have to give my daughter another sibling,” Chrysalis added, giving him a flirtatious wink, making Shining blush even harder.
“Chrysalis, I think it would be wise of you to not tease my husband like that unless we’re in the bedroom,” Cadance said in annoyance to which Chrysalis just giggled.
“Hey, not my fault I want to test your studs' new equipment,” she taunted, making Cadance red faced. Shining just guffawed with laughter andIzzy joined in on the laughter as did the babies babbling and laughing. Izzy was going to enjoy being in this new and bizarre family dynamic, and he wonders if he’s even going to join Shining Armor and Candace or another session the next time they meet.
'Hard to believe that out of all the crazy adventures I've been on… this one really takes the cake for me.' Israel thought, staring up at the sky, smiling.
