Chapters Grogar Summons Other Villains
Our story continues before sunrise. Surrounded by pointy mountains was a vast swamp. Within it, stood massive stone ruins, resembling a ram's skull. Its holes emanated dark orange light. That stone fortress was known as Grogar's lair.
Inside was mostly orange with many caves. Water covered large parts of the lowest floor, making it seem full of pools. Grogar's lair had a large hall. In the middle of it, stood a round stone table. A small creature was flying closer to it.
It was a pink pegasus filly in pajamas. Her mane was light blue. The irises were dark red. That winged foal held a pillow bigger than herself. With it, she landed on the stone table, then curled like a kitten — "A short nap won't be a problem.”
A massive creature walked into the room. His lower body was similar to that of a black bull. The upper half was that of a red, muscular humanoid with long black horns. His bearded face was about the size of the pink pegasus filly. Within the dark eyes, were small yellow pupils.
That was a centaur. He approached the table before smacking away the pink pegasus filly — “Get off the table, you pest.”
After falling on the floor, the winged foal flew to be higher than the centaur’s head. She clapped with wings, unleashing a pink lightning bolt at the massive muscular monster's face — “Tirek, don't think you can beat me around like before.”
“Of course I can.” — said the centaur. Between his long black horns appeared an orange energy orb. Similar light engulfed the winged foal. As her pajamas burst into flames, she screamed — "OW! HOT! HOT! OW!!"
Orange light brought her closer to the massive muscular monster, who frowned — “Empowering you was a waste of Grogar's magic. But that mistake is easy to fix.”
His mouth opened wide. From the winged foal, pink energy started rushing inside. Her colors began to fade. But then, a big green beam smashed Tirek into a wall. That power came from the green, knife-like horn of a crowned, tall, dark gray mare with long blue hair and green stone armor. Her green wings were shaped like butterfly and fly wings.
This was a changeling. From her mouth, green webbing rushed upon Tirek's face, shutting him. Pink energy returned to the winged foal. Regaining colors and cutie-mark, she smiled — “Golly! Thanks, Chrysalis!"
“You’re welcome, Cozy Glow.” — replied the changeling before turning towards the massive muscular monster — “Grogar's mistake is allowing you to live after yesterday's betrayal.”
Before another, bigger, green beam could reach Tirek, he covered himself with orange energy. With such protection, the centaur was neither moved nor harmed by the power of Chrysalis. When that changeling ceased unleashing green magic, the massive muscular monster unshielded himself — “Oh get over it. You knew what happened when Discord stopped being useful.”
The green webbing on the centaur’s face was burnt away. He shot an orange energy wave at Chrysalis. Their magic beams clashed. Soon both rushed back at Tirek, throwing him into water with an explosion. The changeling said — “After saving you and Cozy Glow, I expected better behaviour. If you want to be spared again, you will learn to serve.”
Suddenly, from the water, emerged the massive muscular monster. With horns forward, he lunged at Chrysalis — “I don't serve, I DOMINATE!”
That changeling unleashed a great green energy wave. But her power only slowed the rushing centaur. Together, they broke through wall after wall, and soon were outside. As Tirek passed by, water scattered in large waves. Trees bent like dry crops.
“Raaagh!” — growled Chrysalis. Shooting at the centaur she pushed herself off him. But orange magic quickly grabbed the changeling, creating flames on her. Then threw Chrysalis back inside Grogar's lair, on a cold stone floor.
Before she could stand up, Tirek’s muscular red arm, bigger than the burning changeling's whole body, slammed down upon her, breaking the floor and causing a shock wave. Then the centaur pinched Chrysalis in a similar way. Again and again, shaking the cave.
Tirek’s mouth opened wide. From Chrysalis, green energy went inside, enlarging the centaur. Pink lightning struck his back. Multiple times to no reaction. Suddenly, enduring Tirek’s punches, the changeling shot the centaur through the ceiling.
Then spat webbing on him. When Tirek reached the sky, green light threw him back down. The changeling, unleashed from orange power, flashed green and became a giant, blue bear cub. When Tirek fell near her, she smacked him to the main hall — “Grogar shall not suffer from your treachery.”
Once again, the centaur shielded himself with orange energy. Webbing melted off Tirek. From the giant bear cub’s mouth, a green fire wave rushed upon him. Rocks touched by it turned to dust. The centaur and his magical protection were slowly dragged further.
Tirek stomped the ground. Near the giant bear cub, emerged a giant stone spike, tripping her. The centaur charged at Chrysalis. However, in a green flash, the changeling became a tiny insect. So Tirek flew over her. Then Chrysalis shot at him.
Orange light brought the changeling in front of the massive muscular monster. As Tirek was about to crush her, she once more became a giant blue bear cub. And stopped the centaur's arms. They began to wrestle until another voice spoke — "Enough."
A big blue ram walked in. He wore something that resembled a large red collar with yellow studs. Close to his chest, hung a green stone bell. His dark blue horns shone yellow and black. Such power engulfed Tirek, Cozy Glow and the giant bear cub.
Together, that trio was brought to the round stone table. Chrysalis reverted to her main form. The blue ram hugged her closer to himself, then kissed the changeling's cheek — “Now that you are all awake, we can develop our plans to conquer Equestria.”
The massive muscular monster scoffed — “Someone, who wastes magic to empower a child, shouldn't make conquest plans.”
“Empowering Cozy Glow was not a waste. On the contrary, you should be grateful for that.” — said the creature who kissed Chrysalis earlier — “By sharing magic with others, even if they are children, I make their usefulness continuous. Cozy Glow was very helpful and deserved to be rewarded with power.”
He threw a black and yellow wave at Tirek, lifting him. That dark power grabbed the massive muscular centaur's wrists, moving them to be away from each other. Tirek struggled against the magical bindings.
The blue ram frowned — “You, on the other hoof, have only been a hindrance to this team. I expected more. Without servitude, your magic and strength are wasted. Perhaps the pink filly would use them better?”
“Golly! Grogar, would you really give all of Tirek's powers to me?” — asked the pink filly. The blue ram nodded — “Gladly. After that, either you or Chrysalis could easily dispose of him.”
“Wait! Being against servitude is not the same as not wanting to be part of your team.” — said the massive, bound, muscular centaur — “Grogar, you were my childhood favourite villain. I would be proud to conquer Equestria with you. Give me opportunities to be useful, and I will gladly take them.”
“Hopefully, for your sake.” — replied the blue ram. Black and yellow power released Tirek. As the massive muscular centaur fell on the ground, Grogar forced him to kneel — “Treachery and disruption of work won't be tolerated. Understood?”
“Of course!” — said Tirek, kneeling a bit more. After allowing him to stand up, Grogar looked at Cozy Glow and Chrysalis — “Tonight, I will again resurrect King Sombra. Until then, were there other great villains, who would fit our team? Maybe some, with whom you would work better?”
There was a moment of silence. The other villains glanced at each other. Tirek raised his hand — "The Pony of Shadows? I've heard he was uniquely powerful."
Grogar's crystal ball showed a starry night in Equestria. Then, into view, came a large, black and monstrous alicorn. Lights from every star rushed into his horn. And the world darkened. Seeing this, the blue ram smiled — “Impressive. This would be perfect to start a new epoch of darkness. Let's see what happened to him.”
The crystal ball showed the Pony of Shadows being pushed into a portal by colorful beams, which were coming from various artifacts held by ponies. During that struggle, out of the dark alicorn's chest, two energy lassoes pulled out a slim gray unicorn. While the Pony of Shadows, as a formless darkness, was thrown through the portal.
“It seems, in order to have a body, that darkness needs a host. Perhaps the previous one could be used.” — said Grogar — “We will need more information. But, thank you, Lord Tirek, this was a good suggestion. Here's some empowerment as a reward.”
He created a yellow energy ball, then threw it into the centaur. Tirek became even larger. After that, the blue ram looked at Cozy Glow and the changeling — “Any other suggestions?"
"Since ancient pony legends are true…" — said Chrysalis, in a green flash becoming a giant, purple, winged lioness-mare — "What about the sphinx? She could keep our treacherous centaur in line.”
The crystal ball showed a giant purple lioness-mare enslaving a village. Then, showed her taking a pony to a large, pyramid-shaped building. It showed the passage of time, how whenever pegasi flew inside, they became flightless. Unicorns were shown scared and confused.
“Pegasi are still unable to fly inside that temple. Same with unicorns using magic. So I will need a special artifact to resurrect the sphinx.” — replied Grogar — “She could certainly be useful. Thank you, my dear.”
Just like he did with Tirek, the blue ram empowered Chrysalis. The changeling became herself. Cozy Glow looked at her and Tirek. After a short pause, she asked — "What about Blue King?”
Grogar, Tirek and Chrysalis looked back at the crystal ball. No clear image was shown, only squiggle-like circles spinning. And the view faded away. Grogar asked — "The blue king? Are you sure there is such a villain? My crystal ball isn't showing anything about him."
"Perhaps she meant the Storm King?" — asked Chrysalis before, in a green flash, turning into a tall monster with white fur, standing on two back legs. His horns were similar to those of a yak. The gray face was that of an ape with sharp teeth. Hands and feet were also gray, not covered in fur. The tail was similar to a furry tendril.
"This is another reason I am happy to have you on my team, Chrysalis." — said Grogar. The crystal ball finally formed an image. It was the newest form taken by Chrysalis, but with a dark crown and armor. He held a staff with a glowing crystal on it.
A small town was shown being ravaged by tornadoes, while the Storm King laughed. An army of similar creatures was shown conquering kingdom after kingdom. In invaded lands, they destroyed homes and enslaved the inhabitants.
Then the crystal ball showed Equestria getting invaded by the Storm King. He was shown using his staff to move to the sun and moon. Later the Storm King became a statue, fell and shattered to pieces.
“I guess we could resurrect him. We’ll need to know how capable the Storm King can be on his own. Especially if the storm creatures won't reunite to serve him.” — replied Grogar — “When we were shown the Storm King's conquests, I thought he was like King Vorak."
The massive muscular centaur frowned and whispered — “Let's not mention my father, please...”
Chrysalis nodded — “It would be better to avoid talking about the hateful scorpitaur. The less of that monster’s attention we have, the safer.”
“Oh, so you are both wise enough to fear him? Good.” — said the blue ram before looking at the pink pegasus filly — "Cozy Glow, are you sure that you want the Storm King to join us?"
"No. I didn't mean to suggest that silly ape. What I said wasn't "the" blue king. I meant Blue King. That is the name of someone who could join us." — Cozy Glow explained. Chrysalis asked — “Is he the friend you told me about on Mount Everhoof?”
That conversation continued. Far away, in a larger cave cluster, a winged, red, lizard woke up. On two back legs, he stood almost as tall as Chrysalis. That teenage dragon looked around — "Oh… it was not just a bad dream…"
From his mouth, fire rushed out, lighting the enormous tunnels. He shouted — "MOM?! SMOLDER?! ANYONE?! Please take me out of here!"
There was a reply of echoes. After a bit of waiting, that young dragon began to walk. Eventually, he reached an enormous, transparent yellow wall.
Behind it, had decorated sides and two rows of rising pillars. Between them was a staircase. Each stair was either golden or crafted from silver.
At the top of that staircase, stood a giant, white robot alicorn with plate armor. Some parts were blue. His light blue horn had the shape of a lightning bolt. Instead of a mane, like a cobra, that robot alicorn had a dark blue hood. The ears were pointy, resembling those of a jackal.
His white face was monstrous, yet magnificent, with four light blue eyes. The mouth and teeth were one thing and blade-like. Under the mouth was a slim, light blue cylinder as a fake beard. His blue wings resembled wide, one-sided swords. The frontal legs had blue shoulder pads. While the back ones were covered by something similar to a long skirt.
"Hello there, little lizard. What is your name?" — said that giant robot alicorn. The red, winged lizard replied — "My name is Garble. And I'm not a little lizard!"
He came as close to the yellow wall as possible without touching it. Then pointed at himself — "I am a dragon. You ponies are lucky Ember commanded us to make peace with your kind. Had I won the scepter, most of Equestria would have been burnt by now.”
"Then it is unfortunate you lost. I bet ravaging Equestria’s villages and towns would have been fun." — said the mechanical horse from the top of the stairs. Garble stammered — “Y-yes, it would have been! But you are a pony! Are you not concerned for Equestria? Or are you mocking me?”
“Not at all. Making fun of others is not something I do. Causing pain politely is a lot more enjoyable.” — answered the robot alicorn — “As for Equestria, there are some creatures I wouldn't harm. But most ponies are unnecessary. If you still want them to suffer, free me.”
With those words, in a white-blue flash, he disappeared. At the bottom of the stairs, almost in front of the young dragon, he reappeared in a similar way. His frontal legs towered over the winged lizard. His chest, neck and face even more so. Garble jumped back — “AA!”
“You are so cute when scared.” — smiled the mechanical horse. Stepping further from him, the young dragon growled — “I’m n-n-NOT scared! I'll b-burn you for calling m-me cute!"
“You could try after I’m released. This wall won't be between us. No shame in being afraid of me, that is smart to do. But to make you more comfortable, I will get out of my robotic armor.” — replied the robot alicorn. Garble asked — “G-get out of y-your wh-what?”
The mechanical horse contorted. His body opened up. From the inside, stepped out a small white foal. His ears were longer and pointier than those of normal ponies. The mane was light blue, as were his irises and tail.
"Hopefully now you aren't afraid to free me. Or should I roll on my back for belly rubs?" — asked that pointy-eared foal. By smiling, he revealed sharp teeth. That white colt then laid on his back, exposing the tummy towards the young dragon — “How about it? Would this cool dragon like to rub my tummy?”
The young red dragon frowned — “Uh… If this is what you really are, then being afraid was silly.”
The pointy-eared foal stood up on back legs — “Oh Garble, my appearance was not the only reason to fear me. And despite this wall between us, you are not safe.”
With those words, he stomped the ground. Unleashed force launched the floor, together with the teenage dragon, to the cave’s ceiling. They fell off with many chunks of rock. As far as could be seen, everything trembled. Other tunnels collapsed.
“Aaaow!” — groaned Garble as the shaking ground rolled him. On the white colt, yellow and black flames began appearing. Instead of affecting him, they dispersed. This happened two more times, before the pointy-eared foal smiled disappearing.
Moments later, with yellow and black fire, he appeared in Grogar's lair. The other villains looked down at him on the table. They might have been expecting someone bigger.
"Oh no, I was right. He is another pest. Hopefully less annoying than Cozy." — sighed Tirek, turning towards the blue ram — "So, Grogar, is this an evil lair or a daycare center?"
"Blue!" — shouted the pink pegasus. Then she rushed to hug the other pony. He hugged her back. After snuggling the filly's cheek, Blue King asked — "Cozy, how have you been? I missed you!"
"I missed you too! Things haven't been great for me. Before I could get rid of Equestria's magic, a group of non-ponies, and an earth pony, defeated me." — answered Cozy Glow — "After that, I was locked in Tartarus with Tirek, that massive muscular centaur. We were stuck until Grogar magically summoned us. I convinced him to do the same for you.”
“And for that, I am grateful. Hopefully, by being here, I will make you happier, my friend.” — said the white colt, before snuggling with the pink pegasus filly. Cozy Glow smiled. After that, the pointy-eared foal looked at the other villains — “I see Queen Chrysalis was also brought here. A nice gathering of Equestria's enemies.”
“Yeah, Grogar magically summoned us, so we could work together.” — replied the pink winged filly — “He even resurrected King Sombra. But that tall dark unicorn went to conquer Equestria on his own. Twilight Sparkle and friends destroyed him. Grogar’s plan is to take over the pony lands as a team. After that, each of us will get a territory. Would you like to join?”
In a moment, both foals shone yellow and black. That power brought them closer to the blue ram. That beast frowned — “Cozy Glow, are you sure this is the villain you talked about? His appearance is disappointing…”
Blue King tilted his head. The light holding him and Cozy Glow popped like a bubble. Grogar stumbled. The pointy-eared foal landed standing on back hooves, similar to how most humanoids would stand.
In his frontal legs, Blue King held the pink pegasus filly. He gently put Cozy Glow on the ground — “This is how I look without my robotic armor. Wearing it, my appearance is a lot more monstrous and magnificent. Would that be better?”
“Are you one of those modern villains, who lack magic and strength, so rely on tools? If that robotic armor makes you useful, we will get it.” — said the blue ram. The white colt smiled — “Oh, no worries, I can retrieve it on my own. The Dragon Lands aren't too far from Equestria. A few leaps, and I'll be there. Or I could just teleport.”
“Really?” — asked Grogar. Blue King nodded, disappearing in a white-blue flash. Then reappeared, in a similar way, with his frontal hooves up. They held a tall, purple, winged lizard. It was a dragon teenager, about twice the size of an adult pony. He looked around — “Wh-What? Where am I?”
Then, white-blue flames engulfed that tall, purple, winged lizard. His whole body began to melt into nothingness. He struggled, trying to scream. After that purple dragon teenager was gone, the blue ram smiled — “His fear tasted good, thank you. But some dragons live in Equestria. So bringing one here isn't proof you reached the Dragon Lands.”
Grogar lifted a frontal hoof. The large crystal ball shone yellow and black, jumping to the ram's raised hoof. That sphere was showing a large island, filled with colorful winged lizards of various sizes. The blue ram spoke — “This is how the Dragon Lands look from afar. Point on the crystal ball, where you think you were.”
The pointy-eared foal approached before pointing at the sphere. The view got closer to where he pointed. Blue King smiled — “That dragon's mommy is looking for him. Killing her will be fun. Hopefully you will see me do that.”
Then, again, he disappeared in a white-blue flash. This time, the crystal ball showed a similar white-blue flash on a giant lizard's finger. That's where Blue King appeared. He waved at the adult dragoness — “Hello! Are you looking for your purple child, several times bigger than me?”
For a second, the giant dragoness paused. She brought the white colt closer to her face. Seeing him, the giant dragoness nodded. The pointy-eared foal smiled — “Oh, you won't find him. Ever. I destroyed that purple dragon. He died trying to scream and struggle.”
From the mother-dragon's mouth, erupted a fiery fury. Flames, larger than her, rushed towards the white colt. He blew air, extinguishing all that power like a tiny candle's fire. The pointy-eared foal jumped off the giant lizard's finger. He stomped the ground. An earthquake caused the dragoness to fall. Terrible winds shredded her out of existence.
Another giant lizard attacked the white colt. However, upon striking him, that dragon's fingers broke. Blue King smacked away that giant lizard, causing it to explode and disappear. High in the sky, massive white-blue lightning bolts destroyed several fully grown dragons. After that, the pointy-eared foal teleported back to Grogar's lair.
Looking at him, the blue ram spoke — “It seems I was wrong to doubt your capabilities. Even without the robotic armor, you should be useful. And your cruelty is a definite bonus. But we need to check how powerful you really are.”
“Alright, what should I do?” — asked the white colt. Grogar smiled, unleashing a black and yellow beam at his green, stone bell. That talisman rose and began to ring. A big yellow spiral formed. It was surrounded by a circle of black clouds. From the middle of that yellow spiral, a black beam went towards Blue King.
Out of the pointy-eared foal, a massive white-blue energy wave rushed out. The white colt’s colors were fading away. As was his cutie-mark. Tirek, seeing the energy flow, licked his own lips. Soon, Blue King's cutie-mark was gone. His colors were a lot dimmer. And no more white-blue light was rushing out of his body.
“For a single non-alicorn, you had a lot of life force and magic. A child doesn't need such power, so I will keep it for myself.” — said Grogar. The white colt frowned — “Not if you want to remain alive.”
“Perhaps you don't understand what happened? All the power you had belongs to me.” — replied the blue ram — “With magic and lifeforce, you might have been a threat. But now? You are powerless.”
His eyes shone yellow and black. Above the massive, skull-like ruins, in the sky, dark yellow clouds formed. Each one kept flashing black with lightning. Their thunder was loud and terrible. Soon, those dark yellow clouds hovered above all of Equestria, like some sort of stormy, mist-like dome.
Everywhere in Equestria, black lightning bolts crumbled houses and killed animals. Creatures were panicking. Some pegasi squads tried to cleanse the sky. But many of them were vaporized by black flashes. Grogar laughed.
Suddenly, all those dark yellow clouds shrank, becoming ice-cream. Their lightning turned to chocolate strings. Dealt damage faded away, and destroyed creatures reappeared unharmed. Seeing that through the crystal ball, the blue ram frowned.
“You are not the first to try this.” — said the pointy-eared foal — “But, because you were helpful to my friend, I'll ask politely one more time. Grogar, unless you want to be destroyed, please give back my magic and life force.”
After a bit of waiting, he looked at the pink winged filly — “Cozy Glow, could you go fly outside for a bit, please?”
The small, young pegasus bowed, before flying out of the hall. She rushed outside the massive ruins. Grogar's eyes and studs shone yellow and black, he waved a hoof. But the white colt sighed. The blue ram’s black and yellow lights disappeared. Grogar stumbled — “Wh-what?”
“Did I allow you to summon her back?” — asked the pointy-eared foal. Grogar unleashed a massive yellow and black energy wave at him. Upon clashing against Blue King, that power dissipated. The white colt started walking towards the blue ram — “At first, with gratitude, I considered sparing you. However, by stealing my magic and life force, you proved yourself unnecessary.”
“I won't let you destroy him!” — yelled Chrysalis, shooting large beams at the pointy-eared foal. Each blast dispersed. Then, green light engulfed Blue King, trying to hold him. The changeling also spat green webbing on the white colt.
But, by continuing to walk, the pointy-eared foal broke out of those restraints with an explosion. Chrysalis, Grogar and Tirek were knocked into walls. The changeling became a giant dragon-bear and rushed to smack the white colt, breaking her own limb by trying — “AAAAGH! AAAOW! OW!”
She reverted to her main form. One frontal leg, hugged by the other, was broken. Chrysalis flew to bed further from the white colt. Then shot a large green beam at him. As did Tirek and Grogar with their own energies. Together, their powers united.
“That changeling's ever-growing magic must come from loving someone and being loved. I guess you are the cause. So watch her get obliterated.” — said Blue King as he turned towards Chrysalis, dissipating the fused lights off himself. His three enemies collapsed on the floor.
Then the white colt leaped onto the changeling, causing her to explode without anything left. The floor cracked and sank deeper, forming a crater around the pointy-eared foal. Meanwhile Grogar, Tirek and all water were thrown into walls. Before falling down towards Blue King.
The entire fortress, with the visible landscape, trembled. Within Grogar's lair, parts of the ceiling were falling off. Stone chunks, dropped on the massive muscular centaur, crumbled. The blue ram covered himself with black and yellow power, panting — “Uuugh! I will resurrect her…”
“As if I’ll allow it.” — said the pointy-eared foal. Tirek rushed towards him. Blue King blew air. And the massive centaur was hurled through the ceiling, to the sky. Like a meteor, he fell into the far away mountains, demolishing them.
He created an orange portal and tried to return. But, before it could form, that portal dispersed. After a few massive leaps over the land, Tirek was again at Grogar's lair.
He stomped the ground, causing a large stone spikes to emerge and lunge towards Blue King. Upon impact, those sharp boulders shattered. But Grogar was thrown further from him. Tirek grabbed the white colt — "I will take all the strength you have!"
The massive centaur's mouth opened wide. The pointy-eared foal replied — "There is nothing left to steal. The green stone bell already took everything! All my magic and life force are within that talisman! But even if it was within me, I wouldn't allow you to take my power.”
He broke Tirek's fingers. The massive centaur stepped back. Looking at his own hands, or their remains, he groaned — “Aaaaagh!”
Tirek covered himself with orange energy. Blue King punched through that magical shield, popping it like a bubble. The massive centaur exploded and disappeared. Grogar continued to unleash ever greater energy waves towards Blue King. Yet, all were ignored. The white colt grabbed the blue ram's beard, pulling that creature closer to himself.
Suddenly, a small, pink pegasus filly, with light blue hair, flew inside the hall. She took Grogar's green stone bell. Blue King looked at her — “Cozy Glow, were you safe?”
“Yes, friend.” — nodded the winged pink filly. As the blue ram was helplessly shooting massive, black and yellow, beams at the white colt, Cozy Glow spoke — “Please don't kill Grogar! He can make this artifact return your magic and life force.”
“Oh, Grogar won't be necessary for that.” — replied the white colt. The green stone bell became blue. From it, white-blue energy rushed into the pointy-eared foal. The stone bell turned green again. Blue King's colors and cutie-mark returned. Grogar stopped shooting him — “Wh-what? How did you do that?”
Holding that blue ram by the beard, the white colt looked at the pink pegasus filly — “Well, friend, what would you like to see? Should I detach Grogar's head? Make him explode with a punch? Or would it be better to use my regained magic? I can cause depowering rain to melt him, winds to ripp him into nothingness, or just erase him with my lightning.”
“No-no-no-no! Don't do any of that! Please! You already destroyed Chrysalis and Tirek!” — said Cozy Glow. The pointy-eared foal replied — “Mostly because they attacked me. I allowed the centaur to leave the fight. Yet he returned. Besides, he was treacherous. When Chrysalis ruled the Changeling Kingdom, she abused her servants. Those creatures were unnecessary, like your parents. You didn't need such friends.”
“But they were the only friends I could have! I’m a known villain now. I can't befriend others anymore!” — explained the pink pegasus filly — “Convincing Grogar to summon you, I hoped that we all will work together to conquer Equestria. Not that you would destroy the others.”
“If I remain alive and powerful, I could resurrect Lord Tirek and Chrysalis.” — said Grogar. The white colt looked at him, then back at Cozy Glow — “I can conquer this world without them.”
“But I just want Equestria, not the whole world. And to rule it, NOT have Equestria’s population massacred or tortured to death.” — replied the pink pegasus filly — “I don't want to wait till you conquer this country for me. That would be short and boring. I had enough boredom in Tartarus! I can shoot lightning bolts from my wings, I want to do stuff!”
“Alright, I will get my robotic armor and trick the dragons into attacking Equestria. After that, we can start planning how we will conquer this country together.” — said the pointy-eared foal. Cozy Glow smiled — “Okay and good luck, Blue King.”
“Thank you, my friend.” — answered the white colt before releasing the blue ram — “Grogar, you can resurrect Lord Tirek and Chrysalis. But remember, no matter how much power you gain or steal, you are merely a ram. And I am a god.”
In a white-blue flash, he disappeared. East of Equestria, there was a large island, inhabited by colorful winged lizards. Many were larger than houses. The north of that island had a few enormous volcanoes. That's where the white colt appeared.
Soon, the largest volcano erupted. Its lava was launched to the skies almost like a ball shot from a cannon. Suddenly those liquid flames exploded, revealing a massive, mostly white, plate-armored robot alicorn. Simultaneously magnificent and monstrous. Blue King.
As he flew towards the ground, dragons, many as big as him, scattered. The robot alicorn landed in front of a small, light blue teenage dragoness with white horns. She wielded a purple crystal staff that looked like a bird's claw holding a red gem.
Her wing membranes were light purple, almost as if it was made from thin amethysts. Looking at that dragoness, the robot alicorn spoke — “Hello there, are you the brave Princess Ember?”
“Indeed I am. Who are you to cause panic amongst my subjects?” — asked the small, light blue, winged lizard lady. The robot alicorn replied — “Apologies for making them scatter. I did that so you would be easier to find. Now your dragons are free to feel better.”
“My name is Aether. I ruled the pony lands before that territory became Equestria. So even your father might not remember me. My daughters, Celestia and Luna, have been Equestria’s princesses for over a thousand years. We are grateful to have you as an ally. Right now, ponies very much need help from dragons.”
"Then I shall summon my subjects." — said the small, light blue dragoness, before lifting her claw-like staff. That weapon began glowing red. Princess Ember shouted — “Gather here!”
In Dragon Lands, every dragon started sparkling. Many of them came to where the small, light blue dragoness stood. Soon the robot alicorn was surrounded by various dragons. Some were about his size, others were like Garble.
Hordes kept arriving, filling the field with massive, colorful, monstrous and winged lizards. Princess Ember looked at Blue King — “Aether, tell us what sort of help Equestria needs.”
The robot alicorn stood up on his back legs. That seemed natural for him. Then Blue King raised and extended wings to seem even bigger — "Hello dragons, you all look strong and cool. Twilight Sparkle will soon be the main ruler of Equestria.”
“To prepare for her new regime, she wants to renovate Equestria's eastern coast. A lot of destructive power is needed to demolish all the old buildings and other things. We ponies, even with tools and magic, are not as good at that as you dragons.”
“But I just spoke with my friend Starlight Glimmer." — said the small, light blue dragoness — “And she didn't mention any renovation plans.”
The robot alicorn frowned and sighed — “Because at first, the rebuilding of Equestria's eastern shore was planned to be slow. So not much to talk about. Only a few minutes ago, it was suggested to ask for help from dragons, who could demolish the area much faster. However, if you aren't going to help, then I will need to hurry and get help elsewhere.”
“Wait! If Equestria is asking for our help, then we will help. I’m just confused as to why they sent you, instead of any of my pony friends.” — said Princess Ember. Blue King replied — “Oh, they are busy preparing the eastern shore. I will help them upon returning. We don't have much time…”
“But what’s the rush? Surely we can wait for the preparations to finish. ” — asked the small light blue dragoness. The robot alicorn sighed — “The preparations are almost complete. We want to start rebuilding as soon as possible. Dragons need to arrive now, so our rush to prepare wouldn't be pointless.”
“I understand. However, your appearance causes suspicion.” — said Princess Ember — “No other pony I’ve seen is even close to half your size. They tend to look cute and fluffy. You look monstrous and magnificent.”
“Like some cobra, you have a dark blue hood. No to mention your pointy ears, blade-like wings and sharp teeth. Even dragons don't have such sharp teeth. Your face has four eyes, none are like those of ponies.”
“Oh, most of that is because I am older, much older, than any pony you’ve met. Or ever could meet.” — answered the mechanical horse — “Celestia, one of Equestria’s oldest ponies, is so tall, that many adult mares and stallions look like foals next to her. And she looks baby-sized next to me.”
“My ears are pointy because of age. I’ve had four eyes since birth. Same for some other features. But they don't make me less of a pony. Our time is running out, if you have suspicion that I am a threat to Equestria, command your subjects to attack me.”
“Burn him.” — said Princess Ember. And all the nearby dragons sparkled again. In unison, they unleashed massive flame waves upon the robot alicorn. A growing hurricane of fire engulfed him. The landscape shook, melting somewhat. Blue King waved a wing, extinguishing all those flames.
The colorful winged lizards were launched out of Dragon Lands. However, before they could splash the sea, white-blue light safely returned those dragons home. Blue King looked at Princess Ember and sighed — “If I really was Equestria's enemy, I would be ravaging those lands. I would have probably decimated yours already.”
“But if you are so strong and powerful, why not demolish Equestria’s eastern shore on your own? Is asking for our help not a waste of time?” — asked the small light blue dragoness. The robot alicorn answered — “Of course it isn't. Some tasks are better done together.”
“Life is not just about having the personal power to do everything on my own. It is more about spending time with friends, or beloved creatures. Upon understanding that, I gave the throne to my daughters. Despite being weaker than me, they have been much better leaders.
“Hopefully my father will admit that about me…” — said Princess Ember. Blue King smiled — “Then your worth as a leader shouldn't come from strength alone. The greatness of Celestia doesn't come from how strong she is. The best thing about her leadership is that ponies have hope to be happy and achieve their dreams. Ponies don't have to be afraid to be themselves.”
“We must hurry hurry. Seriously. If you are going to help, please do it now. Not later. Not tomorrow. Not next week. Right now. Send your subjects to devastate Equestria’s eastern shore. So it would become a plain field, easy to build on.”
"Places and creatures, that don't need to be burned, won't be touched by your fire. You saw how I can extinguish it. Safe evacuation was a big part of the preparation. My daughter Luna gave additional warnings.”
“Unfortunately, some ponies made us beg them to evacuate. And they just laughed without obedience. I guess that's what we get for not being rough enough. If you harm those ponies, don't worry. They are unnecessary. In fact, we would be grateful if dragons eradicated them. I will do my best waiting for your help to arrive.”
After that, Blue King flew to Equestria. With him arrived house-sized waves, clashing into the shore with an earthquake. The cities of Manehattan, Fillydelphia and Baltimare flooded. Then, all that water began to boil. Buildings were melting from the steam. Same happened to ponies and other creatures.
Pegasi and griffins, trying to fly away, were destroyed by a white-blue lighting bolt. It caused an earthquake. Yet birds weren't touched by that power. Unicorn attempts at teleportation simply caused dispersions of light without any effect. Those few, who saw the magnificent and monstrous robot alicorn in the distance, became blind from fear.
Suddenly, reality itself changed. Buildings recovered. Wounded creatures healed. Destroyed creatures were recreated. Everything was reverting back to how it was before the house-sized waves clashed against Equestria. But such changes faded away immediately.
A tall and slim entity, , whose each bodypart was that of a different creature, stumbled. This was a draconequus. With a groan, he spoke — “Aow! Uuugh! What's this? Ow!”
“A warning.” — replied Blue King, appearing in front of that entity. The draconequus jumped back — “AAAH!”
“My brother described you as funny, Discord. He compared you to Seth!” — said the giant robot alicorn — “Perhaps, after Equestria is conquered, the lord of chaos will be a good jester?”
“N-no, because Eq-Equestria w-won’t fall. Wh-whoever y-you are, I w-won’t let you h-h-hurt anypony!” — shivered the draconequus, before his fingers snapped, causing a white flash. That hand of his, which did it, disappeared. The draconequus became transparent and fell on the ground — “AAAAAAAAOW! AAAAAAAUGG! HURTS! OW! OW! AAAA!”
“For my dear brother's amusement, I will allow you to exist.” — explained Blue King — “But for now, reality shall ignore you. As punishment for trying to stop me, you will see and hear ponies suffer, without being able to help. That is what I am.”
Discord's screams lost all sound. And his body became invisible. Not long after, in the sky, like migrating bird flocks, hordes of colorful dragons reached Equestria. Together at the same time, they unleashed a fire wall as wide as the shore. And taller than mountains.
This enormous flame wave swept Equestria's eastern coast, crushing and burning the landscape. Many buildings, with ponies still inside, were destroyed. Some creatures woke up from horrible nightmares to have agonizing ends. However, before the fire could reach forests and jungles, it faded away, unable to touch them. White-blue light kept wild animals safe.
Then, dragon hordes returned to the remains of Manehattan, Fillydelphia and Baltimare. For fun, they began throwing chunks of skyscrapers at each other, finding survivors. Many caught were torn apart and burned. Some were crushed or eaten.
Meanwhile, back at Grogar's lair, the main hall was no longer a crater, as if the previous beatdown didn't happen. Lord Tirek, about half his previous size, but still bigger than Chrysalis, and less muscular with a shorter beard, now wore silver bracelets. Nearby, Cozy Glow was talking — "Oh, that's because he isn't from Equestria. He came here from Zodia-"
Before she could finish that sentence, some distance in front of them, a massive white-blue flash happened. From it, the magnificent and monstrous robot alicorn, Blue King, appeared. Between the centaur's horns, formed an orange power orb. The changeling's knife-like horn engulfed itself with green magic.
Blue King sighed, dispersing both energies — “Relax, we are on the same team.”
Tirek and Chrysalis stumbled. Cozy Glow rushed to hug the robot alicorn’s face, which was big enough to be a bed for the filly. That mechanical horse smiled. Together, they gently snuggled.
Grogar Summons Other Villains
Welcome back to Equestria, girls
When night came, the robot alicorn carried Cozy Glow to bed. The pegasus looked smaller on that mechanical horse than a mouse on a pony.
Meanwhile Grogar scribbled something on the ground. His writing and lines were glowing in light blue. A dark crystal emerged from the middle of those scribbles.
It was engulfed in black flames. Suddenly that fire grew and became a small tornado. Together with the crystal it morphed into a very tall dark grey pony with a sharp red horn.
He was wearing armour, a red cape and something that could almost be described as a crown. The pony's black mane was moving similar to fire, although slower. His eyes were mostly green with red pupils. Purple smoke was coming out of them.
"Welcome back, King Sombra." — said Chrysalis with a smile. She briefly kneeled before him. Then the blue ram began to speak — "I hope that you understand what mistakes were made last time."
"Yes… I do understand." — the dark unicorn nodded. Grogar asked — "So are you ready to conquer Equestria properly this time?"
"Oh, of course! And I have a much better plan that includes you all by my side." — said King Sombra. The blue ram sighed with relief and smiled. But before Grogar could react, the dark unicorn shot a black and purple beam at him.
The eyes of the blue ram began to glow in green. Sombra smiled. Suddenly Grogar frowned. The green glow faded off his eyes. The horns of the blue ram began to glow in yellow. A black spiky ball of energy formed between them. Grogar huffed — "Fear gives me strength!"
The pony sighed while lifting his head. A huge dark crystal emerged from the ground. It covered Sombra from Grogar's black and yellow magic blast. Suddenly the unicorn was lifted by an orange light. He was flown closer to Tirek.
The centaur opened his mouth wide, as if trying to breathe in as much air as he could. Sombra shot dark magic at the brother of Scorpan. Dark crystals formed on Tirek's face and neck.
The unicorn became a black smoke before dashing and reforming behind the centaur. Then Sombra shot at the horns of Scorpan's brother. Small dark crystals began to grow out of them. While preparing to shoot again, the dark unicorn disappeared in black and yellow flames.
Sombra reappeared in front of Gorgar. So he tried to blast the blue ram. However, a wave of black and yellow energy obliterated the dark unicorn. Not even flames on birthday candles are blown out so fast.
"Alright… that was a mistake…" — said the ram as he looked at the other villains. Tirek nodded. This caused the crystals to break off from the centaur. He continued to remove them from his horns. The blue ram continued to speak — "His desire to make stupid decisions… is unnecessary."
Suddenly the top of the big crystal began to burn in black fire. Two green eyes opened in that flame. Then it morphed into Sombra. Before the other villains could react, a purple mist entered the eyes of the changeling. Her green energy blasted Grogar to the other side of the cave.
"Aaagh!" — grunted the blue ram while trying to stand up. He created a black and yellow wall to cover himself from another green beam. Then Grogar began to speak — "Chrysalis, my dear, I know that you're afraid. That's how he controls you. But I can also feel your strength. And it is greater than Sombra's power."
"Don't worry. You are not alone. Your fear is giving me the strength to help you. We will defeat it together." — he continued as his magic pushed away the green energy. The blue ram began to walk towards the changeling. The clash of their powers was also coming closer to her.
But before the black and yellow energy could touch Chrysalis, a dark crystal tall enough to reach the ceiling emerged in front of her. It covered the changeling from Grogar's power. Both magical beams dispersed.
Something tiny crawled on top of that crystal, but the blue ram didn't notice the insect. At least not until it shot a big bolt of green energy at him. Grogar dodged that shot and countered another one with a beam of his own.
The insect hid behind the dark crystal before disappearing in black and yellow flames. It reappeared on the ground in front of the ram. With an explosion of green light, the tiny creature became a blue bear the size of a house.
The big monster roared while trying to crush Grogar. But the blue ram jumped to the side before shooting at the beast. The shot morphed into energy that shut the bear's jaws. Grogar flipped his hoof and that monster was teleported further away.
Then the ram continued to shoot at it and create bounds until the bear fell on its back. After he came close enough, yellow mist steamed out of the bear's chest and began to flow towards Grogar's mouth.
Suddenly a wave of orange energy smashed the ram against a wall. Before Grogar could stand up, the big monster spat green webbing at him. The bodiless laughter of King Sombra echoed through the whole lair — "Ahahaha!!"
The ram struggled and grunted but couldn't get out. When he looked up, Grogar saw that the whole ceiling was covered by black clouds. After glancing at where the shot came from, he saw a big crystal dome. There were multiple dark crystals and large stone spikes on that side of the lair.
A bolt of lightning struck the ram's head. All those yellow and black bounds on the beast disappeared. Then the bear rushed closer while breathing green fire at the ram. That flame made the webbing grow and tighten.
"Nuugh!" — Grogar grunted as it burned him. With a black and yellow energy blast the ram destroyed some of the bounds that held him. But the green fire restored them stronger than before. Grogar beamed the bear away.
But then lightning landed on the blue ram's face. As Grogar shot the charging beast again, another bolt came. Lightning began to constantly land on Grogar's head, like a hammer on a nail.
Despite that, he continued to shoot at the beast. Each black and yellow blast slammed the bear to the wall. However, her fire reached Grogar from time to time. Soon the blue ram was entirely covered in thick green webbing.
While bound inside it, he couldn't cast magic nor move at all. Grogar was engulfed in green flames again. The ram felt as if he was drowning in molten steel. At least the lighting bolts stopped.
Then the blue bear hit Grogar. That strike should have thrown the blue ram into the wall, but the webbing kept him in place. So the beast hit Grogar from the other side. After that, the bear began to use him as a chewing toy.
Suddenly that dark crystal dome on the other side exploded. Tirek broke out of it and shot at the face of the big blue beast. The bear's head was turned away by the orange beam. This ripped some of the green web off Grogar.
The blue ram waved his free left hoof. Tirek disappeared in black and yellow flames before reappearing in front of Grogar. Vorak's son immediately lunged at the bear. Then the blue ram commanded him — "Hold her!"
Orange light engulfed and lifted the bear. It also held her jaws shut. Yellow mist came out of the beast's chest and into Grogar's mouth again. In a green flash, the bear became Chrysalis.
Before the orange energy dispersed off her, the changeling smiled and closed her eyes. Then the former queen fell into swamp water. Many small bubbles surfaced from where her head drowned. Chrysalis emerged splashing the other villains — "You red fool! I wasn't a fish!"
"Hahahaha!" — they all heard King Sombra's laughter. It came from the black clouds and echoed in the whole lair.
Then several lightning bolts lunged at the trio. All of them hit Tirek who covered Grogar and Chrysalis. The Centaur grunted before asking — "Rragh! Why are you laughing? We're all more powerful than you."
"Well that's good to know, I need strong slaves." — Sombra replied. Then came the sound of thunder. Chrysalis began to shoot at the black clouds. Each green beam made them explode and disperse. But those clouds reformed after every shot.
Lightning bolts started striking the three villains from all sides. Pieces of the ceiling began to fall through the black clouds. Tirek and Chrysalis created energy shields and shot at whatever came close. Then Grogar waved his hoof. That whole storm disappeared in a huge yellow fire.
Sombra appeared on the ground before being lifted by green and orange light. He struggled inside that colourful magic. Grogar shot at the unicorn's horn. A yellow and black ring formed on it. Sombra heard and saw the blue ram's bell ring at him. A big yellow spiral formed.
Suddenly Sombra became a black must with green eyes. All those magical bounds slipped off him. A huge dark crystal emerged under the bell and raised it to the ceiling. Then Sombra covered himself with a crystal dome.
Tirek charged at it like a flying bull. He shattered the dome and beamed orange energy at the black mist. This dispersed it. But Sombra reformed again and flew out. He rushed to the halls. A big dark crystal lunged at the centaur.
Sombra stopped flying when he saw a big robotic hoof with dark blue plate armour step out of a corner. The black mist became a pony and shivered while talking to himself — "No… no… no… no…"
The unicorn walked backwards and then ran, he even kicked the ground while doing so. Sombra quickly turned back into mist and flew to the other villains. It moved so fast, he looked like black lightning.
The dark unicorn became himself in front of the trio. And then tried to shoot them. However, a wave of green energy disembodied him. But Sombra again formed further away behind the trio. As the dark unicorn blasted magic at them, an explosion of white-blue light happened in front of him.
Sombra backed away. He saw the big robot alicorn wearing dark blue plate armour. Because of the metallic hood and sharp teeth, from the front the robotic pony looked like a monstrous cobra.
Dark crystals lunged at the mechanical horse from all sides. Some, large enough to reach the ceiling from the ground, formed a wall around the robotic pony. Then Sombra rushed towards Tirek, Grogar and Chrysalis.
But before he could do anything, the robot alicorn erupted out of its crystal confinement. Then with a white-blue flash it appeared in front of the dark unicorn. Next to Sombra the robotic pony looked like a wolf near a rabbit. It smiled — "Hello, Sombra."
"Blu-Blue King?! You're free?!" — replied the shivering dark unicorn while resisting the urge to step back. He kept trying to not look directly at the robot alicorn. Then Sombra turned towards Grogar and asked— "Why is he free?!"
"For the same reason I brought you back." — answered the blue ram — "So that together we could conquer Equestria. And then divide it amongst ourselves the way we see fit, so that none of us bite more than we can chew."
"I think that the Crystal Empire should belong to you. We know that you can conquer it on your own. But together we could defeat all our enemies and then rule for a long time." — Grogar continued — "Furthermore, Blue King doesn't want his part of Equestria… So more for us."
"Don't worry, King Sombra. I won't harm you. Personally I haven't done that." — said Blue King while smiling — "But now we will be on the same team. So may our bygones be bygones."
"Where did I go wrong with my life to be on the same team as Blue King?" — asked the red-horned pony. The robot alicorn replied — "It was in the moments you decided to be a threat to Equestria. And most were without a dire need."
"But I'm not like you!" — said Sombra while shaking his head and backing away. Blue King continued to speak — "Oh, but we don't have to be the same."
"Each of us is rather unique at being evil. Working together against Equestria, we will be a sort of rainbow of darkness." — said the blue ram — "Furthermore, I wouldn't have been able to summon you if you weren't evil."
"I can taste how Blue King terrifies you. So you should be very happy to be on the same side." — Grogar continued to speak — "Just imagine how much we all could achieve by working together."
As that conversation continued, someone else began walking outside Grogar's lair. He was a ram like Grogar, but larger and black, except for the blue mane and grey beard. There were scars on his face.
Instead of a bell, this ram had a talisman that looked like a circle with a star inside. Each of its five corners touched the outline. Red flames were coming out of that talisman like the ray florets of a sunflower.
The conversation was still going on when this ram entered the lair. King Sombra sighed and replied to Grogar — "Alright… This time I will join you. At least until failure… so what's the plan?"
"Thank you for making a good decision today. This really gave me more hope in villainy." — said the blue ram — "I intend to resurrect the Sphinx. Then together we should be able to bring back the Pony of Shadows."
"The plan can be altered. Maybe you know another great villain who could be useful? Perhaps some ideas?" — Grogar asked. The black ram answered from further away — "Have you tried to summon the sirens, you blue baboon?"
"How dare you insult him?!" — growled the changeling as she stomped the ground. Her horn was glowing as if it was a green bonfire at night. The rude beast replied — "Oh, a changeling? So Vorak skipped a hive? We all make mistakes I guess…"
"Why are you in Equestria?" — Grogar frowned while gently rubbing the back of Chrysalis. Her horn stopped glowing as she looked at him. The other ram replied — "I returned to free Balaur and Tirek. After that, I was going to take your bell for myself."
"But I see that you already have it. And Vorak's runt is also here! Ahahaha!" — the black ram laughed as he looked at Tirek. An orange energy ball appeared between the centaur's horns. Then he shot at the rude beast.
But the dark goat dodged that orange beam. So Scorpan's brother fired another one. This time it clashed against a red and yellow blast. As their energies began to push against each other, the black ram mocked Tirek again — "A foolish cretin, aren't you?"
Suddenly the centaur kneeled and punched the ground. A stone spike emerged under the rude beast, launching it to the ceiling. Before the black ram could reach the ground, a wave of orange energy slammed him against a wall.
Suddenly Tirek began to glow in red and yellow. Only his face wasn't covered by magic. Similar energy came at it like a lightning bolt. The centaur should have been smashed into the ground further away. But instead he was flown closer to the black ram. And the blasts kept coming.
Tirek began to drink the energy that held him. While doing that the centaur became bigger. After freeing himself, he shot at the rude beast. Then he lunged at it. The black ram was knocked to the wall. Another orange beam hit him.
Orange magic threw the rude beast towards Tirek. The centaur opened his mouth wide before disappearing in black and yellow flames. The black ram fell on the ground. Grogar sighed and asked — "Alright, what do you want?"
"I came back just a few hours ago. But upon my arrival, I was surrounded by the delicious pain of ponies. Dragons were burning ponies and destroying buildings as far as I could see." — replied the bigger caprine — "That is something that Balaur would cause."
"Someone must have freed him. I expect it was you." — the black continued to speak — "So I came to your lair to make Balaur into my pet. Where is he now?"
"Oh… I didn't free Balaur. I don't even know where he is." — Grogar replied before pointing at the robotic pony — "And the dragons were manipulated by Blue King."
"Huh, I haven't heard of him." — said the rude beast. Sombra frowned with envy. Then the dark caprine continued to speak — "Alright, so Balaur should still be in Tartarus…"
"Then go to Tartarus!" — said the blue ram as he waved his hoof. The rude beast disappeared in yellow and black flames. Grogar sighed with relief.
"Sombra!" — said Chrysalis as she landed in front of the dark unicorn and stomped her hooves — "Let's see how you feel being enslaved!"
The changeling fired a green lighting bolt at Sombra's head. The pony frowned. His pupils became dark green like a leaf trying to get more sunlight.
Suddenly Sombra became his usual self and began to laugh — "Ahahaha!. Pathetic power gained from love.."
Chrysalis dodged a black and purple beam. As she flew upwards, two giant dark crystals lunged at her out of the ceiling. So the changeling covered herself with a green barrier.
Then a third crystal pinned her to the ground. Grogar stomped his hoof while Chrysalis disappeared in black and yellow flames. She reappeared next to him. Then the blue ram hugged the changeling closer to himself.
"Alright, now you're even. My dear, I have something to show you." — said Grogar while lifting his crystal ball with the other hoof — "Look, another changeling."
That crystal ball looked as if it was a window to a smaller version of the world. In it they saw a creature very similar to Chrysalis. But this changeling was only as big as a common stallion.
His eyes were red with pupils as white as snow. The left eye had a cut-like scar. Because of the colour, it always looked freshly gained. His wings looked like big torn leaves made from red glass. There were also holes in the legs.
"So the treacherous nerd became a renegade to Thorax…" — said Chrysalis as she frowned. The robot alicorn turned its head to look at the crystal ball. Grogar asked — "Should I summon him?"
"Having at least one changeling servant would be nice. Even if he is Scar." — said the former queen. King Sombra stomped his hoof — "We don't need an infestation! There is already one more than what is needed."
"We need all the help we can get. Changelings are incredibly useful. You could enslave him if he fails to obey us." — replied the blue ram — "Having at least one slave should feel good for you. Even if that slave is a changeling!"
"Furthermore, his back blends well with your cloak." — He continued. The dark unicorn sighed. Then Grogar waved against the air. Scar the changeling appeared in front of the other villains. He kneeled in sight of Chrysalis — "Ah, my great queen, is it you?"
"There is no love for me in your heart." — said the big changeling. Then she blasted the smaller one. But before he could be smashed against a wall, Scar was thrown at the hooves of Chrysalis. She stepped on the smaller changeling's head.
Scar began to sink in solid ground. He grunted before the former queen kicked him to the wall. Then pink mist came out of Scar's chest and rushed into the bigger changeling's mouth.
"But I will take the love you managed to get for yourself." — said Chrysalis while breathing it in. Scar shot at the former queen's face. The blast shut her mouth and turned her head away. — "No you won't! There will never be love in me that you could take."
"Not while I know what you did to my mother!" — Scar roared while shooting another green beam at the former queen. This time Chrysalis covered herself with a wing. She began to walk closer — "So you will be a good servant after I wipe your mind?"
"No!! I will never be your drone again!!" — said the smaller changeling as covered himself with a magical shield. That barrier exploded from green lightning. Scar was thrown at an emerging dark crystal.
"Aaagh!" — grunted the smaller changeling. In a flash of green light he transformed into a bird as big as a cart. While flying, Scar dodged several beams from the former queen. And, almost like a rampaging dragon, he began to breathe green fire at her.
Chrysalis deflected the flames with her power. Then she spew green webbing at Scar, sticking him to the ceiling. But as a changeling he was able to slip out of it. The red-horned pony asked — "Are you sure that you want to beat him into submission?"
"You know I can just enslave this pest…" — he said. The former queen replied — "Don't! Scar is my changeling. He needs to know that I can do whatever I want with him. And I'm doing this for fun, to mock him."
"No! NO!! I will NOT let you do ANYTHING to me!" — yelled the smaller changeling during the fight — "You were the first to abandon the hive when the unturned needed you the most."
But Scar was getting slower and less agile by the second. Chrysalis laughed while continuing to shoot — "Hahaha! As if you ever had a say."
Suddenly the bigger changeling began to glow in white-blue light. Sombra looked at Blue King as Chrysalis was flown closer to it. Soon the former queen was in front of the mechanical horse's face. Standing at full height he asked — "Why would you mistreat your servants?"
Before Chrysalis could answer, she disappeared in black and yellow flames. Same happened to Scar. Blue King saw both of them next to Grogar.
"Scar won't be enslaved. Each of you joined me willingly. There is no reason to force him." — said the blue ram. The smaller changeling replied — "Thank you, but I'm not sure if I want to join you…"
"Especially with Chrysalis on the same team." — he said — "Oh, I apologize for her behavior. You won't be her underling. Working together we could defeat the ponies. After that, we will divide Equestria amongst ourselves."
"But I'm his queen!" — complained Chrysalis. The blue ram stomped on the ground and glared at her — "You WERE his queen.
"Yes, Grogar…" — the bigger changeling bowed and backed away. Scar giggled — "Ehehehe! I think joining you is a good decision."
"Welcome to the team then. And thank you for not being like Sombra…" — said the blue ram before looking at the dark unicorn. Then he turned back at Scar — "I've been told that you are highly intelligent. Any scientific achievements that could be useful?"
"I managed to make a cure for what Thorax did to the hive." — replied the smaller changeling — "And I did that without any help from the "queen" here."
"Oh, interesting. Will you need any special items to make it?" — asked Grogar. Scar explained — "Yes, the cure requires ingredients. Most importantly, I will need my laboratory."
After the blue ram waved his hoof, Lord Tirek appeared in front of them. He was slightly bigger than last time. Scar jumped back. The horn of the smaller changeling began to glow in green — "Tirek!"
"Another changeling?! Congratulations Chrysalis! — said the centaur — "How long would it take to spawn an army?"
"What?! Grogar summoned him!" — yelled the former queen. Scar snickered to himself as his horn stopped glowing. Then the blue ram spoke — "Tirek, create a portal and bring Scar's laboratory here. Then put it in the cave which you think should be his new room."
Scorpan's brother did as he was told. The smaller changeling followed. After they returned to the main hall, Grogar asked — "Alright, have any of you heard about the villain named Balaur?"
Scar and Sombra raised a hoof each. The blue ram looked at the smaller changeling who began to speak — "A cursed pegasus with a desire to burn Equestria. He wielded a magical sword and stole the lifeforce of slain dragons."
"Before that he was a decent warrior. The road downhill started out of a need for vengeance. By now Balaur wants to cause what he wanted revenge for…" — said King Sombra before looking at the robot alicorn — "I can relate to that, being on the same side as Blue King."
"Are you as afraid of Balaur as much as of Blue King?" — asked Chrysalis with a smile. The dark pony answered — "Oh, no, not at all. You're comparing a mosquito to a hornet."
"We shouldn't underestimate him. Balaur was seen as useful by someone who is very motivated to cause pain to every creature." — said the blue ram — "What's relevant to us is that I found out why I couldn't summon the sirens. The good news is that they are all still alive…"
Within the crystal ball, the villains could see three girls. One of those humans had curly orange hair so big, it looked like she had a whole bush on her head. The skin of this girl was as yellow as a lemon.
The human standing next to her had dark pink skin and mostly purple hair, except for a few light blue stripes. Her hairstyle was two long tails. They were long enough to reach her hips.
Lastly there was the light blue girl. Her hair had stripes of dark blue and light blue. It was tied in a simple ponytail behind her.
"Humans? After we conquer Equestria, I suggest we kill them all." — said the robot alicorn. Grogar shook his head — "Let's not plan too far ahead. The conquest of Equestria is not even halfway done. And they aren't humans."
"They're creatures similar to Waltan's windigos." — said the blue ram as the crystal ball was to the middle the other villains by black and yellow light.
Now it showed how the three girls were three monstrous fish-ponies almost as big as dragons. Each of them had a red gem on their chest. Those monsters were swimming through the skies and terrorizing Equestrian towns.
Often the sirens covered lands in green mist. Inside it, other creatures fought each other for as long as they could. The monstrous fish-ponies caused conflicts everywhere they went. Many ponies destroyed their own homes.
Those monsters showed great personal power too. Similar to how dragons breathe fire, the sirens blasted bright red energy. It instantly vaporised stones.
After that, the first defeat of the sirens was shown. A magical vortex was opened in the sky. Then a heroic pegasus tricked the sirens into going through it. Seeing her, Blue King whispered — "Somnambula…"
Later the villains saw how the sirens were defeated in human form. Those monsters were engulfed in rainbows. Their red gems shattered. After that, the girls ran off the stage.
"Fixing their gems won't be hard. Here's the spell for that." — said Grogar before shooting at the floor. Glowing yellow symbols appeared there. — "Even a small amount of magic is enough to perform it. But the amount of power the sirens lost won't be restored."
"Understood." — said the robot alicorn. Then it stood up and waved its horn. A white-blue fire as tall as the mechanical horse appeared in front of it. Soon it gained many colours and became similar to a moving painting. Blue King spoke into it — "Hello, Deerie. How is my favourite cherub?"
"Blue King?! Your Majesty! I have missed you sooo much!"
— a voice replied — "And I have been… alright. Thank you for asking, master! Every captured human is tortured to death, as you commanded."
"There was hesitation in your answer. Deerie, are you sure that you're alright?" — asked the robot alicorn. Deerie reassured it — "Oh, I really am! I just missed you… I would like to snuggle you."
"Then we will cuddle when we meet. But now I have a task for you ." — said the mechanical horse. Grogar's crystal ball began to glow in white-blue light and was flown in front of the robotic pony. It was still showing the sirens as humans.
Meanwhile, the black ram was walking in a massive cave. The walls were purple, the floor was green. Many cages were there. And he shot at the monsters inside each.
"Ahahaha!" — laughed the rude beast while punching some of those metallic condiments off the edge. Same happened whenever he magically slammed two cages together.
Eventually the black ram reached a certain path of stairs. He opened his jaws. Red mist came out of every monster he harmed. It rushed into the beast's mouth. Then he smiled and began to walk up those stairs.
At the top of the stairs was another cage. Inside it stood a light black pegasus. He was wearing iron armour. But most of the body wasn't covered. It was easy to see that this pony had many scars.
His eyes were mostly orange. The black pupils looked like stretched six-pointed star symbols. He looked at the black ram and spoke — "Greetings… Grogar? Huh, I always imagined you as a blue ram."
"Then you always imagined him correctly. But I'm not Grogar." — said the black ram. The caged pony asked — "Have you come to free me?"
"Ahahaha! I came to laugh at you!" — said the beast. Soon he was right next to the cage. His head was above it. With one hoof, the ram lifted it by the top. This caused the pegasus to slide down to the other side.
The pony opened his mouth wide. Fire rushed out of it. Those flames tried to engulf the ram. But red energy kept covering him like a shield. The beast continued to laugh — "Hahaha! No wonder you haven't escaped."
"So why are you here?" — asked the pony as he stopped exhaling fire. The black ram answered — "Well, Balaur, dragons are burning Equestria. The eastern cities are being destroyed as we speak."
"Wonderful!" — the pegasus smiled. — "Or do you need me to stop them? Because I definitely could."
"Hahaha! Why would I want them to stop? Balaur, I feed on pain and rage! There is no reason for me to cause goodness!" — said the beast — "You're good at causing what I need. So serve me, make others suffer. And you'll be rewarded with strength."
"Alright." — Balaur nodded and kneeled. A ball of red and yellow energy appeared between the ram's horns. Then similar to a feather guided by wind, it flew into the pegasus.
For a moment the pony shone in red and yellow. After that he closed his eyes and took a deep breath. Balaur exhaled a huge wave of flames. His whole prison cell was engulfed in fire. The cage melted like chocolate cards in an oven.
Balaur clapped his wings. A gust of wind threw the metal off the edge. The black ram shot a red beam at his talisman — "Now we need to get you armed…"
A red circle with a star symbol inside appeared on the ground. Black smoke steamed out of it, forming a dome of darkness. Then that mist morphed into a monster.
Suddenly that demon became a black and red tornado. The beast pulled out a very light blue shard out of his stash. It looked both metallic and crystal-like. That object was glowing white, even when red magic held it.
"Behold, a shard of Gladrasil, the sword of Vorak!" — said the black ram before throwing it at the tornado. Both things morphed into a large sword. — "Now we are ready to get out."
By the time that duo exited Tartarus, there was another pony in Grogar's lair. He was a slightly slim unicorn with a fancy white beard. His eyes were glowing green.
That stallion was wearing a blue cloak and a hat. Both had yellow stars and moons on them. The horn of that pony was engulfed in white energy.
A dark blue vortex covered the whole ceiling. A yellow monstrous fish-pony flew out of it. The siren was the largest creature in the lair. She began to swim in the air — "Yes! Yes!! Finally!"
The robot alicorn stood up on his back legs. His frontal hooves reached forward and were engulfed in white-blue flames. The blue siren landed in those fires. Instead of burning her, they slowed her fall.
"Nice to meet you, I am Blue King." — said the robotic pony before putting the siren on the floor. The yellow monster turned towards the mechanical horse — "Oh, you're Blue King? Thank you for sending that little creature to fix our gems."
Suddenly, the dark pink siren fell flat on the floor — "OW! Hey! Why didn't I get a softened landing?!"
"Because you can fly on your own…" — said Grogar — "Anyways… welcome back to Equestria, girls! I am Grogar."
"The Grogar? Your tyranny was legendary! Hopefully we can bring it back." — spoke the yellow monster before pointing at herself — "My name is Adagio Dazzle, pleasure to meet you all."
"I'm Aria Blaze…" — said the dark pink siren — "And the last time I was here, they invented sliced bread. Has anyone managed to top that?"
"Many things have been invented since then." — the smaller changeling answered— "But we still say "the best thing since sliced bread"."
"So no…" — Aria sighed and frowned — "That's disappointing. But at least we're not in the human world anymore. Maybe I should try some of those new things… What's your name, little guy?"
"Scar. Because of the scar right here." — the changeling replied as he pointed at his marked eye. — "However, I can still see how pretty you are!"
"Awww! Thank you! Hehehe!" — the dark pink monster giggled and blushed. She began to wag her big tail — "You're a hungry changeling, aren't you? Well, I might have some love for you…"
"My turn! My turn! My name is Sonata Dusk!" — said the light blue siren — "Can we make you fight now? Adagio, ready?"
"Oh, you won't need to feed on us." — said the blue ram as he magically lifted his crystal ball towards those monsters. All three looked at it.
It showed how dragons were still destroying things in the east. Then many stone spiders as big as houses emerged from the forest. They had light blue eyes. Those spiders attacked the fire-breathing monsters.
Flames were ignored by the stone creatures. They neither burned nor melted. And dragons didn't have as many limbs as their eight-legged opponents. But they did have the strength to break them.
Each broken part of the rock monsters became smaller spiders and continued to attack. They were attacking the fire-breathers like a wave, trying to push them out of Equestria.
As the giants fought, light blue beams began to shoot the dragons out of the sky. That power came from a dark blue alicorn. Her mist-like mane looked similar to a night sky filled with stars.
She beamed fire away from herself. Lightning began to strike the fire-breathers from all clouds. Water was pouring on every flame. Despite that, the dragons kept fighting. They were withstanding Equestria's defenses.
"So much tasty conflict! Even principal, I mean PRINCESS, Luna is fighting!" — said Sonata. Grogar nodded — "Yes! And she empowered some heroes to help her. I will send you there. But it would be best if ponies didn't know that the sirens are back."
"Oh, no worries!" — replied the yellow monster as her eyes began to glow red. Same happened to Aria and Sonata. Then three mares appeared in front of them.
These ponies had the colours of the sirens. The manes were similar to their human hair. Each had a black necklace with a red gem. Then Adagio said — "You can send these avatars. We'll look like ponies."
"Diamond Hoof is still alive?!" — yelled Scar while looking at something in the crystal ball. It was a yellow mare with short purple mane. Wingless and hornless, she jumped on dragons like a grasshopper. And many of those monsters were knocked out by her punches.
"Did she bother you?" — asked Aria as she came closer. The smaller changeling explained — "Yes! Diamond Hoof wrecked my laboratories! That mare also beat me up multiple times."
"She seems to be a strong and brave warrior. I fought against a similar pony in the past." — said Grogar — "If this "Diamond Hoof" is similar to Drahsa, she shouldn't be underestimated."
"Aria, Adagio and Sonata, you can help the dragons in this battle. The way you shoot red energy could be relatable to them." — said the robot alicorn — "Tell these lizards that King Aether sent you."
"Sure" — Adagio nodded — "It is the least we could do."
"Alright then, have a wonderful feast!" — said the blue ram as he waved his hoof. Those three ponies disappeared in black and yellow light. Soon there was green mist in the battle.
Then a light orange pegasus went to the sky. His red and yellow mane was covered by a brown fedora. That pony could hold and mold fire as if it was clay or snow. He embraced the flames that rushed towards him.
The winged hero flew through the battlefield and took every fire. Then he began striking the dragons with giant whips made from it. Occasionally throwing huge fireballs at those lizards. He also made many flames explode by hitting them with his big wrench.
Together with him and some other flying heroes, Luna fought the dragons in the sky. After a while, the green mist reached the clouds. The sirens' avatars began to shoot red beams at Equestria's defenders.
"YES! Get beamed, you yellow runt!' — Scar cheered and shook his frontal hooves as he saw a ray of red energy hit Diamond Hoof. Sombra and Tirek glanced at him. The pink siren's main body was wagging its tail.
"Thank you, Aria. I will sleep happier now." — said the smaller changeling. After that, he went to his lab and fell asleep. Meanwhile, Luna was using her power to push back a red beam. It was a struggle, but she succeeded.
When the first morning light reached the battle, another alicorn arrived. She was white and almost as tall as Chrysalis. Her floating mane had the colours of a fading rainbow. More heroes and defensive creations joined the battle. Each of them were glowing in yellow and blue.
The eyes of the sirens became normal. Their avatars disappeared. Those monsters curled on the ground and began their slumber. Chrysalis crawled to bed. Grogar and Sombra continued to watch as Equestria's defenders were winning the battle. The hordes of dragons were being pushed out.
"What? No… please flee… please…" — whispered the dark unicorn. White-blue lightning bolts hit every flying hero out of the sky. Sombra saw that mechanical horse among the dragons.
Soon the heroes were in front of it. The red-horned pony shook his head while tears ran down his cheeks — "Please… pleas flee… some crimes of Blue King cannot be undone…"
The defenders of Equestria were defeated. Most died painfully, barely anyone survived. The robot alicorn began to torture and cripple the two horneless alicorns. They were screaming for it to kill them, at least while their sounds made sense.
Blue King made them blind and voiceless. It did the same to the other surviving heroes. Many fainted after the torment. Cozy Glow's friend disappeared in white-blue light. The dragons were blamed for what happened.
Grogar Summons Other Villains
Once fancy cities of Baltimare, Manehattan and Fillydelphia, were now fields of rubble. The eastern part of Equestria was a massive scorched desolation.
Within that wasteland there were many dragons. Some of those fire-breathing beasts were larger than houses. Others were about twice the height of ponies. A different monster was talking to a large horde of them — "Sorry for not coming to help earlier."
In size it was similar to the bigger dragons. The shape was that of a great alicorn. It seemed mechanical, but also wearing plate armour. Both wings were shaped similar to the sharp part of knives. Its long light blue horn had the form of a lightning bolt.
The white face was monstrous, even for dragons. Its four eyes were light blue with slim dark blue pupils. The mouth and teeth were one thing and blade-like. Inside was a light blue tongue.
The robot alicorn had pointy ears, resembling those of a jackal. It didn't have a mane. Instead, like a cobra, this mechanical monstrosity had a hood. That part of the body was dark blue.
"Equestria's eastern shore is prepared for renovation. Thank you." — said the robotic pony. Then it kneeled in front of the dragons. Those fire-breathing beasts did the same. The mechanical monstrosity stood up and spoke — "You can return to the Dragon Lands."
"Don't worry. I will tell the others. My speed and ability to teleport are enough." — it said. As he walked closer to the dragons, some of them crawled away in fear. Even those bigger than him. So the robot alicorn stopped approaching.
The remaining fire lizards shivered looking at the ground. Their eyes were closed. None of those dragons saw how that mechanical monstrosity began to stand on its back legs. He bowed — "Apologies for making you afraid. My presence terrifies whatever opposes me."
"But we are on the same team. There's no reason for me to cause you pain and death. I will help you get home safely." — said the robot alicorn. He raised his left frontal hoof. It was engulfed in white-blue flames.
Suddenly a light of that colour lifted the shivering dragons. The mechanical monstrosity clapped its wings. And the glowing lizards were sent to the Dragon Lands. Looking similar to beams of energy, they flew across the sky and sea.
Despite such speeds, each landing was slow and soft. After that, the mechanical monstrosity disappeared in a white-blue flash. It reappeared to other hordes of dragons. Bowing, the robot alicorn expressed his gratitude. And then informed the fire-breathing beasts that they could leave Equestria.
Those who couldn't travel on their own, were flown by white-blue light. Some of those dragons were sleeping. Later they woke up at home. And so many of those fire-breathing beasts returned to the Dragon Lands. Leaving the territory they helped make into a wasteland.
In the part of Equestria that bordered that desolation, there was a small explosion in the ground. A pony erupted out of it. She was a yellow mare with short purple mane. That pony spat out some dirt before looking around — "Yuck! Ew! I'm definitely not that type of an earth pony."
Further away she saw a massive crystal wall. It continued to the sides as far as the mare could see. When she looked up, the top of the wall was beyond the highest clouds. A colourful light flashed in front of that mare. Those colours became a transparent purple unicorn. His hair was red and dark blue.
"Moonlight?" — asked the mare. She blushed and saluted the stallion. Silver armour appeared on that unicorn. The chestplate had a symbol of a blue star. Looking at him, the yellow mare spoke — "I didn't know that you were also brought to this Equestria."
"Yes, he was." — answered the transparent purple stallion — "I can sense that enemies of Equestria will try to influence something in the Pyramid of the Sphinx. Moonlight Hunter is there. He will need your help."
"Uh-huh. And who are you?" — the yellow pony asked. The blushing ceased. Hearing her words, the transparent unicorn began to shine in many colours. His eyes became wholly white — "I am the Tree of Harmony. Or its remains."
"Remains? What happened to you?" — the mare looked at the transparent horse. He explained — "My main body was shattered by the unicorn you call King Sombra. Another great portion of my power was reduced by a magnificent terror."
"May your destiny never force you to confront that entity." — he said. The yellow pony spoke — "Sombra? He was defeated multiple times. We will defeat him again. I'm not afraid of Sombra."
"If you feel brave enough to withstand your fears, then go fight that unicorn. Your strength shattered things stronger than his crystals." — replied the transparent horse — "Perhaps it is your destiny to defeat Sombra?"
"Then why did you wish for me to never encounter him? Seems a bit contradictory, don't you think?" — asked the yellow pony. The other horse shook his head — "Oh, no. It's not Sombra who worries me. Although, with the willingness to enslave others, he is worse."
"I don't doubt your potential to oppose that dark unicorn. However, there is another villain. That is whom I don't wish you to meet." — he continued to speak — "I won't mention its name."
"Why? Is it hard for you to say?" — guessed the mare with purple hair. After that question there was a brief pause. Then came the answer — "No. It's because I'm afraid."
"Oh… afraid of what?" — asked the yellow pony. It didn't take long for the transparent horse to reply — "Of the monster whose name I don't want to mention. It scares me. Despite the fact that I'm unable to feel fear."
"But you're afraid. So you can feel fear." — explained the mare with purple hair. The other pony resumed speaking — "That's the problem! I shouldn't be able to. I don't have the things needed to do that. It's like using unicorn magic for you."
"Is this your first time feeling this way?" — the earth pony asked. There was a pause before the other horse nodded — "Yes. And it sickens me. I hope that you won't have to endure the presence of that monster. For it may ruin you."
"And it is not because of magical power. Celestia and Luna were able to fight that villain. At least until their horns were shattered." — he explained — "I'm healing those alicorns and other survivors. The massive wall is held together by my strength. Despite that, I still have more magic than that monster."
"Yet such superiority doesn't give me a sense of safety. That monster isn't uniquely powerful. In recent years, there have been several heroes and villains with greater magical potency." — the transparent horse continued to speak — "Without life-force and magic that monster could have fought some of them. For it is immensely powerful even while powerless."
"Isn't that a contradiction?" — asked the yellow pony. The other horse nodded — "Yes it is. However, that doesn't matter to the entity whom I don't want to mention. And that thing is a threat not just because of personal power. Those dragons attacked Equestria willingly."
"What?! Is that why we couldn't free them from mind control? I thought it was Balaur's doing." — said the mare with short purple hair. She sighed — "At least that psycho is in Tartarus."
"Balaur is not in Tartarus. The Black Enemy of Equestria freed him last night." — said the transparent horse. The earth pony asked — "That ram returned?!"
"Yes. And if they're not stopped on time, dragons and demons will conquer Equestria." — explained the other pony — "Unfortunately, Balaur's new master covered himself from my sight. I haven't seen that duo since they left Tartarus."
"So before sending you to Moonlight Hunter, I will give you the power that I can spare. Strengthening and protecting you. Hopefully it will be enough." — he said before becoming a colourful orb. It flew into the yellow mare's chest.
Far away from there, in the Southern Equestria, there was a desert with a village. And in that village a light brown stallion was trotting with a cart. At least until somepony approached him from the front — "Hello, I'm here for the first time. Do you live in this town?"
It was a mare, yellow like cheese. She wore a light blue headdress and something similar to a skirt. Her hooves and belly were wrapped in bandages. The stallion looked at the mare before answering — "Um, I live close. But I come here very often. How could I help?"
"Oh, I just need to know where the graveyard is." — said the bandaged pony. After another pause, the light brown horse replied — "It's right outside the town. You should continue this road and then turn left when it splits. That will be the main road, it should be very wide."
"The graveyard's wall should become visible after a short while. If you see fields instead, you'll need to turn around and go the other way." — he continued — "That field leads to the pyramids. And they are on the opposite side."
Before he could say anything else, the mare hugged him — "Thank you very much. You're the only pony in this town who didn't ignore me. If we ever meet again, my name is Ginger Blazer."
After the hug, some of the bandages unwrapped off her. Four large ones were similar to tendrils with hand-like ends. With these bandage tentacles, Ginger Blazer climbed on walls as if she was a spider.
That pony rushed with such speed, that others running looked like they were walking underwater by comparison. Despite that, Blazer didn't bump into anything on her way. At least as far as the light brown pony saw. Soon Ginger was in the middle of the graveyard. Her hooves and bandages began to glow blue.
Meanwhile, in the Dragon Lands, Princess Ember was talking with another dragon — "Maybe he isn't willing to harm creatures of Equestria? Despite being strong and powerful, Aether is a pony. It's probably hard for him to be cruel."
"I doubt that. He helped many of our hordes. And not just by negating magic. No. He was actively helping. It was as if the forces of nature became enemies of Equestria." — said that other dragon — "White-blue lightning smashed creatures out of the sky. It shattered magical shields. Earthquakes crumbled buildings and mountains."
"Lava erupted out of the ground. Winds were shredding creatures into nothingness. Rivers and lakes became fogs." — that big fire lizard continued to speak — "In them, ponies were melting and freezing to death. We saw Aether cause all of that."
"But that's why you were sent there. To cause destruction. Maybe Aether was doing his best to help?" — asked the ruler of the Dragon Lands. It didn't take long for a reply to come — "Maybe. However, some of the suffering caused by him was needless. "
"Aether often arrived to torture and cripple our enemies. After becoming voiceless they began to make sounds that I want to forget. Some of them crawled into our flames to burn alive." — said that other dragon — "And that monstrous alicorn was laughing. The tormenting lacked speed and great destruction."
"Oh, Aether was trying to have fun. With our help, destruction became much faster than expected. So he decided to make the process more enjoyable for himself." — Princess Ember began to speak — "Before you woke up, Aether arrived to thank me. He explained what happened."
"Many wingless dragons told me how Aether was helping them fly. That "monstrous" alicorn allowed others to rub his belly. Even some adults were glad to do that. Kids were throwing lava balls at each other." — she continued. Her servant replied — "I was there, it was fun. But... you know how, even without touching the whole room, fire makes it warmer and brighter?"
"Yeah?" — nodded the ruler of the Dragon Lands. The other fire lizard tried to explain — "I think that Aether does something similar. He emanated terror into creatures. Some became unable to breathe and move. They died sweating, with blood leaking out."
"Others were overwhelmed by panic. They rushed out of their hiding places and magical protection." — that dragon continued to speak — "Don't get me wrong, there are reasons to fear that alicorn. Magical shields became white-blue and crushed their makers."
"I was afraid of Aether even before confronting him. But after that, I felt how fear went into me. My body was forced to be afraid." — said Ember's servant — It was hard to breathe. My sight disappeared."
"After a moment, that fear left my body. But I was shivering whenever that monstrous alicorn was close. At least until I fell asleep." — that dragon continued — "And Aether emanated fear not just into creatures. Trees and stones, things that can't feel fear, shivered and cracked from his glare."
As that conversation went on, our story continued elsewhere. More specifically, In the desert village. The yellow mare with short purple hair was there. But it might have been hard to see her mane because of the helmet.
She was one of the two ponies wearing armour. The other one was walking with her. A purple stallion. His horn was glowing in dark yellow. Similar light held his sword. That unicorn was talking with the armoured mare — "Hopefully we can stop them before it's too late."
"Yeah." — she replied. Suddenly ponies from further away began to run closer and scream — "MONSTERS! SKELETON PONIES!! EVERYPONY HIDE!"
Both heroes rushed to where other ponies were running from. Soon they could hear the clattering of many bones. Skeletal ponies were sprinting towards the Pyramids. Similar pegasi were flying in the sky.
The flying sword decapitated a running skeleton. The body continued to sprint. Its skull was hopping like a frog. At least until it was smashed by the yellow mare. Several undead unicorns stopped moving. As if they suddenly became statues.
Their heads turned towards the heroes. But the horns weren't glowing. Gray mists enveloped the two armoured ponies. It picked them up. The yellow mare shone white before falling out. But the purple stallion was thrown over the small buildings.
Gray mists rayed at the mare. But unable to touch her, that "energy" splashed like launched water balloons. Still, it was pushing away the yellow pony. Resisting the gray rays, she rushed to attack the undead. The closest one was thrown against a building and crumbled. Those bones began to come together.
Then four pegasi skeletons grabbed each leg of the mare. She was flown to where the gray mist landed her teammate earlier. The undead unicorns turned towards the Pyramids and resumed running.
"Diamond Hoof, I think this could be the evil that the Tree told you about. Get on this door." — said the purple pony. He was standing on a levitating door. It was glowing yellow like his horn. The yellow mare obeyed. On it they rushed out of the village.
Before the Pyramids could be reached, there was a green explosion at the entrance of the great temple. Many skeletons were sent flying out. Each one crumbled on the ground. Diamond Hoof jumped off the door. She ran to crush the fallen skulls and other bones.
Her teammate landed in front of the sprinting skeletons. He began chopping off their limbs and heads. They were ignoring the purple stallion and kept coming towards the Pyramids.
Near the entrance the heroes saw hordes of undead. And Ginger Blazer was there. With her bandage, the cheese-yellow pony pulled another mare out of the ground. She was a pale green unicorn. That pony had light brown mane. Unicorn skeletons were shooting gray rays at her.
Suddenly a wave of green energy blasted Ginger Blazer away. The undead behind her were thrown even further. Other skeletons stopped moving. Diamond Hoof continued to shatter them. The horn and hooves of the pale green mare were glowing green.
She punched the ground. Green fire bursted under every undead surrounding her. They were thrown into the air. Those bones fell apart. Green light deconstructed many skeletons. Then the undead started to move again. Some of them got into the temple.
Its entrance began flashing black and yellow. Skeletons were thrown out of it. But more rushed in. Then Diamond Hoof punched a part of the entrance. Part of the Temple's front collapsed. It fell on the rushing undead.
"No!" — yelled Ginger Blazer while dodging a big green beam. The purple stallion was charging at her, ready to swing his sword — "That mare! She must be the necromancer!"
Before it could strike the cheese-yellow pony, a bandage wrapped that sword. That weapon was mailed in the ground. So dark yellow blasts began coming at the bandaged mare. Most were dodged. Then a door lunged into her.
Green fire erupted under Ginger Blazer. She was launched to the sky. A wave of green energy smashed her down. The sword was pulled out by yellow light. And the purple stallion continued to attack the cheese-yellow mare. She dodged another great green beam before the sword hit her. But the mare didn't notice.
"Wait. You don't understand. I'm trying to save this village and Equestria." — said Ginger Blazer while evading the sword strikes. A massive green wave of energy almost hit her. But it clashed with the united gray rays of unicorn skeletons.
"Hahaha! Sure you are, necromancer. Some sort of greater good you'll use the temple for?" — asked Diamond Hoof's teammate. His attacks weren't stopping. The bandaged pony shook her head — "No. I am trying to protect it from the opposite."
"I'm not trying to harm anypony. Please believe me! Before it is too late…" — she said. Suddenly the temple shook. Back and yellow energies flames engulfed that building. Then Ginger Blazer continued to speak — "Oh no. Neferet is back. I'm sorry for failing to stop that."
"Ahahahaha!!" — laughed the pale green mare. Her power was pushing the green ray away. She was withstanding all hits from pegasi skeletons. Even the gray lighting bolts. But then Diamond Hoof lifted the rubble of the Temple's entrance. It was thrown to the side.
Green flames tried to engulf that yellow mare. But Diamond Hoof simply walked out of it. Squads of skeletons were rushing into the temple. But the yellow and black energy was pushing them out. Still, those undead kept coming.
Within the temple there was a giant purple lioness-mare. She was wearing a golden crown. Next to her was a monstrous blue ram. Undead ponies shot and charged at them. Diamond Hoof also rushed to attack. She was the only one walking in Grogar's energy waves.
That ram dodged her punch and prepared to strike. But then backed away. Another, different, mare could be seen in his eyes. Yellow mist rushed out of his chest and into his mouth. Dodging another hit and backing away, Grogar asked — "D-Drahsa?! How?!"
While shivering he moved his hoof. The pale green mare outside disappeared in black flames. After that, Grogar looked at the sphinx — "In my lair you can choose an empty cave to be your room. The others will show you around."
With a swing of his hoof, the blue ram made lioness-mare disappear in black and yellow fire. Then Ginger Blazer and the purple unicorn rushed into the temple. And so did many undead. So they all began to fight against Grogar. But his power seemed ever-growing.
Meanwhile, in Grogar's lair, a pink pegasus filly greeted the purple giantess — "Hello new friend. Welcome to Grogar's lair. I'm Cozy Glow. What's your name?"
"I am Neferet, the Great Sphinx! Where are my accomo-" — the question left the mind of the great lioness-mare. She immediately kneeled — "Pharaoh Blue King, it is an honour to meet you."
"It is a pleasure to be here with you, Neferet. I like your purple fur. It is very cool." — said the mechanical monstrosity as he bowed, making her blush slightly — "Why thank you so much! I like your blue and white armour as well."
Their simple conversation continued untill a yellow and black spiral appeared in the main room. Grogar jumped out of it and fell on the ground. Yellow mist was still coming into his mouth.
"Grogar…" — said Lord Tirek as he pointed at the blue ram — "Where is your bell?"
Grogar tapped the part of his chest where his bell should be. Then looked at its place. But the bell wasn't there — "Oh no…"
All three heroes were sitting outside the collapsed temple. The rubble was barely recognisable. Diamond Hoof was holding Grogar's bell. Ginger Blazer was speaking — "Our teamwork is very good. Maybe we could work together to save Equestria?"
Grogar Summons Other Villains
In Grogar's Lair, a conversation could be heard. One of the speakers was a very tall, dark gray mare. Her horn was long, knife-like and bright green.
The wings were of the same colour. Their shape was something between fly and butterfly wings. All of her teeth were sharp and white. The hair was long and dark blue. On her head was a green crown.
Hooves and chest were covered by green stone-like armour. Looking at a big blue ram, she stomped her hoof and asked — "Why did you send me here? I was holding off the undead."
"Sorry. They were inexhaustible and fearless. I had to give into fear to keep up. Overwhelmed by it, I thought that Diamond Hoof was Drahsa." — explained the blue ram — "My first instinct was to bring you to safety."
"Thank you for caring so much about me." — the tall gray mare blushed before complaining — "But I could have defeated that yellow mare. She is just a strong earth pony. And the undead weren't too much for my magic."
"Yes, your ever-growing power is wonderful. The stronger you become, the happier I am for you." — said the male sheep — "Hopefully what I feel for you tastes good. Because it won't end anytime soon."
"Oh your love tastes great, Grogar. So immense and genuine. I am grateful to have you in my life." — replied the tall mare with green wings — "Both of those things give me power."
"Oh that's my favourite thing about your magic. That it grows from us loving each other. I get more of what I like because I like it. That's awesome." — Grogar said — "Such potential is why I compared Blue King to you yesterday."
"But with my bell, it is possible for the ponies to take your power. So be careful. The loss of that talisman also delays our plans." — he explained — "Stress and shame are ruining my mind… I need time to recover."
"Then you should rest. Send me back to that desert. Those ponies couldn't have gone too far. Unless they made a portal with the bell." — replied the lover of that blue ram. Grogar lifted his hoof. The tall mare, with dark blue mane, disappeared in black and yellow flame.
Back then, even the southern desert of Equestria had a train station. That's where our story continues. An army of various skeletons was walking around nearby. Two armoured ponies and a bandaged mare were in that train station.
One of the armoured ponies was also a mare. Her skin was bright yellow. Her mane was purple and short. On one hoof she was wearing a green stone bell as if it was a mitten. Her other hoof was punching it.
The second pony was a purple unicorn with red and dark blue hair. His helmet was damaged but wearable. The rest of the armour was looking better. However, it wasn't in peak condition either.
At least his golden necklace was looking good. The big red gem was still unscratched. As a whole it looked almost like a fancy medal. Pridefully worn by the armoured pony. That stallion apologized — "Ginger Blazer, I'm sorry for cutting you."
"Oh, it's alright. I don't feel pain." — replied the wrapped mare. She smiled. That pony had bright red and blue hair. The visible parts of her skin were darker yellow, like cheese. She was wearing something similar to a light blue skirt.
Within less time than it takes to blink, her bandages hugged her two friends closer to her. Then she jumped. The purple stallion finished his blink and saw that he was a whole house above the train station.
A huge wave of green energy destroyed that place. Parts of the railway were ripped out of the ground. Many skeletons were thrown further than the unicorn could see. Their bones scattered in the desert.
As the heroes began to fall, the purple pony saw a massive green beam rush towards them. His horn shined yellow. Then his amulet flew into the approaching green blast. All that power was absorbed by its red gem.
Suddenly the stone bell stopped moving in mid air. Almost as if put on the ground. That thing was glowing green. The armoured mare used all four of her hooves to hug that talisman. While trying to shake her off, the green bell was landing.
That stone thing was getting closer to where the green beams came from. At the same time, the golden necklace returned to its owner. Two pegasi skeletons held that armoured unicorn.
Green light was dragging the pony with the stone bell. While kicking the ground to push away, she could see another mare. The horn of that unicorn was glowing green. She yelled at the hero — "Let go of the bell! You don't need it!"
"Chrysalis?!" — replied the hero. Then she lunged at the mare who yelled. While hanging to the bell, the armoured pony rushed faster than a beam. Her punch caused a small explosion of white and green light.
Green energy dispersed off the stone bell. Some creature was thrown further away by the blast. However, it seemed too large to be that yelling unicorn. Instead it was the dark gray mare with a long green blade-like horn.
Despite having wings almost like those of butterflies, she looked scary. The long dark blue mane and the green stone-like armour were making her seem even less approachable. That monster shot a great green beam at something behind the yellow mare with short purple hair.
The green light clashed against a larger wave of purple and blue energy. That power came out of the red gem of the golden necklace. And that amulet was held by the armoured purple unicorn. But the green beam grew.
It began to push back the blue and purple energy. The monster started walking towards the purple stallion. She could see groups of skeletons coming at her from all sides. Then the yellow mare with short purple hair attacked her.
"Ahahahaha!" — laughed Chrysalis after dodging a punch from the hero. While evading another attack, she smacked the armoured mare further away into the ground. Then the monster leapt towards the source of blue and purple energy.
Chrysalis landed with a thud. Tall waves of sand rushed at the surrounding undead. More hordes kept coming. Unicorn skeletons began to shoot gray rays at the monster's face. She growled. Then bandages covered her eyes.
They came from the other yellow mare. Those bandages behaved like arms or tentacles. Chrysalis pulled Ginger Blazer closer to herself. Then the monster kicked the cheese-yellow mare away. But the bandages and undead kept attacking.
The clash of energies continued to rush towards the purple stallion. While the monster's face was wrapped, both massive beams went inside the red gem. No longer feeling resistance to her power, Chrysalis began to shoot green energy at the surrounding enemies. Her face unwrapped.
Then she flew towards the armoured yellow mare. However, during her flight, the monster was hit by an enormous wave of blue and purple energy. It was about twice as big as the three previous great beams combined. Chrysalis burned and screamed — "AAAAGH!!"
That power threw the monster over her destination. She landed with an explosion of sand and stones. Then the yellow mare with short purple hair lunged at her. Chrysalis evaded the first punch. But the second one nailed her into the ground.
Then more hits came. They were as fast and loud as lightning. Each caused a shock wave and sent the monster deeper. Even further away the ground was shaking. Green beams kept coming out of that crater.
Suddenly the armoured yellow mare was engulfed in green light. That power lifted the hero. Chrysalis growled at her — "AAGH!! I'LL TEAR OFF YOUR LIMBS!"
"Aaagh! Huh?!" — said the monster when the armoured pony fell out of the green energy. The punching resumed. At least until Chrysalis smacked the hero out of the crater and flew out of it. While in the air, she spat green webbing on the armoured yellow mare.
"Hhhgn!" — grunted the struggling hero. She could barely move in that sticky green stuff. Many skeletons attacked the monster. In an explosion of green light, Chrysalis became a massive dragon. Three times greater than a house — "I'M DONE PLAYING AROUND!"
"I WILL DESTROY YOU ALL!" — her voice echoed, reaching the town and beyond. There, ponies stood still when they heard it. They looked around and hugged each other. Sands were moving like a sea in a storm.
Every step of the great dragoness shook the ground. Each clap of her wings caused a tornado. The undead were attacking her like an army of ants. Some pegasi skeletons were redirecting the terrible winds back at Chrysalis.
Luckily for them all, the monster was mainly focused on crushing the immobilized hero. The armour of that mare was destroyed by the first hit. She was stuck in something similar to a crater. It was shaped like a claw of the great dragoness.
"GIVE ME THE BELL, YOU YELLOW RUNT!" — yelled Chrysalis before breathing green flames at the hero. Almost everypony there was burned and blasted away. A sword lunged at the monster. But that only dulled and bent the blade.
The dragoness tried to breathe flames again. However, the golden necklace with a red gem went inside her mouth. That talisman absorbed the great fire. Then it shot a bigger beam of blue and purple back at the monster. This happened several times.
"Wait… you feel love… for somepony here." — smiled the monster while turning towards the purple stallion. Chrysalis rushed to attack him. The stuck yellow mare violently shook the green webbing binding her — "Moonlight!"
As the dragon's claw was about to reach the purple stallion, a big yellow spiral appeared in front of that pony. He was taken into it. Moonlight walked out of another yellow spiral in front of the bound yellow mare.
"Diamond Hoof? How?" — he asked before using the ruined sword to scrape the sticky green stuff off the immobilized hero. The freed yellow mare replied — "With all my heart I wanted to save you."
"There was nothing else on my mind. Then I felt Grogar's bell as if it was part of my body." — she explained — "When that was happening, I got a feeling that I could get to you myself. So I tried to do that."
"And that caused the portal? Do you think you could use the bell to take her magic?" — Moonlight asked. Diamond Hoof hugged the bell closer to herself. While petting it she nodded — "Yeah, I think so."
Only a single squad of skeletons remained. An armoured light purple pegasus was distracting Chrysalis. The monster kept trying to chomp or crush the flying mare. Diamond Hoof appeared beside the dragoness. She held the bell with both frontal hooves.
Raising it above her head, the mare shook the talisman. Then a big yellow spiral, surrounded by black clouds, appeared in front of the yellow mare. Out of it, a great black beam came at Chrysalis.
Green flames engulfed the dragoness. She began to shirk. Her magic rushed into the bell through the black beam. Soon the monster was in her normal form. Except shorter, but still about twice the height of a normal mare.
The horn lost length. It became dark gray like most of her body. The wings shortened, no longer resembling butterfly wings. Their green colour faded to dark blue. Before the yellow mare could hit her, Chrysalis disappeared in black and yellow flames.
She reappeared in Grogar's lair. There was lots of ice. And some new cracks in the walls. The blue ram rushed to hug the shivering mare — "Oh my dear Chrysalis, I am so sorry for what happened to you. But things can get better. Know that I still love you."
"Sorry for not bringing you back sooner." — he said — "Earlier I summoned another villain. And that cold horror immediately tried to kill me. Luckily our strength and power were about even. I almost died before saving you."
"You being in danger is what gave me enough fear to win. That's how I survived." — Grogar continued to speak — "Unfortunately, Star Swirl escaped during the fight. At least the captured changelings are still in Scar's new lab."
"And what were the others doing? Where is everyone?" — asked Chrysalis as she looked around. The blue ram answered — "Tirek should be in Canterlot. Disguised as ponies, Aria and Scar are on a date. Adagio and Sonata are exploring Equestria."
"Cozy, Neferet, Sombra and Blue King are terrorizing Yakyakistan. They are pretending to be Equestria's forces sent to invade those lands." — he said before raising a hoof. Grogar's horns began to glow yellow — "I'll show you some of my favourite moments from that "invasion"."
The big crystal ball shined yellow and black. Then it flew to his raised hoof. That big crystal ball was like a window to the world. Through it, Chrysalis saw a flying light pink pegasus filly. That pony was wearing a purple coat. A similar hat was covering her light blue hair.
Some claps of the pony's wing claps caused pink lightning. That's how she was shooting at the yaks and their huts. Often the pegasus cheered before doing so. The blue ram smiled at Chrysalis — "I like to think she shouts "For Equestria!"."
"Look at those cute giggles. I'm glad Cozy Glow enjoys causing pain. It was also fun to watch King Sombra." — he said as the crystal ball changed view. It showed a caped and armoured gray stallion.
His horn was red, bent and pointy. Similar colour was in the pupils. The eyes were green. Small purple mist was coming out of them. His black mane was moving like a flame. That red-horned horse shot black and purple beams at some yaks.
The eyes of those affected began to glow green. Such yaks rushed to attack others. But then those running ox-like creatures stopped. They shook their heads. Green light faded off their eyes. And those yaks tried to attack King Sombra.
They shattered the emerging dark crystals. Purple mist enveloped those yaks. The eyes of those ox-like creatures shined green for a brief moment. After that, they continued to fight the red-horned horse. But King Sombra became a small black cloud to avoid attacks.
Then he flew away. Later that armoured and caped pony returned with an army of various animals. Foxes, rabbits, wolves and bears. All of them had glowing green eyes. Those creatures focused on attacking the calves. Soon the yaks had to fight enslaved crying children.
"And yes, the fear of those calves tasted good." — said Grogar as he rubbed his own belly. Chrysalis nodded — "I'm glad it did. There were many of them. And all stuck in nightmares. But maybe you could share some of that gained power?"
"Oh of course, my dear Chrysalis. I will give you half of my magic." — replied Grogar as he raised his hoof. Then a massive wave of yellow and black energy rushed onto it. That light became a ball bigger than the blue ram.
He tossed that energy at Chrysalis. She embraced it. The power went inside her. The gray mare became slightly taller. Her horn became longer and green. Same happened to the tall mare's wings. Their shape became similar to butterfly wings.
Green stone-like armour manifested on the tall gray mare. It fitted her perfectly. Suddenly the horn of Chrysalis began to glow green. Its light vaporized the snow. She laughed — "Ahahaha! This is great! Thank you, Grogar. I love you."
"We both love each other. I'm glad you feel great. I want you to enjoy life and express yourself. That's what personal power is for." — replied the big blue ram. The tall gray mare smiled — "And you had more of it than I expected."
"Fighting the cold horror did weaken me. But I gained a lot of power before that happened. Which leads to my favourite thing that happened in Yakyakistan today. Blue King's arrival." — said Grogar — "He didn't want to be teleported."
"Blue King resisted my magic to send him there. He flew to Yakyakistan on his own." — he continued to speak. The crystal ball changed its view again. This time it showed a white robot alicorn wearing plate armour.
Altogether, he looked both monstrous and magnificent. Being as big as a house added to that. The robot alicorn had four eyes. Instead of hair, it had a hard dark blue hood. His horn was light blue and shaped like a lightning bolt.
Blue King approached the yaks with such horror that their pupils vanished. The skins of those creatures became as pale as salt. Then their fur and horns fell off. Many such furless, hornless and blind yaks crumbled on the ground.
"Oh, it was amazing! I didn't know that creatures could feel such fear. Hahaha! However, I understand why they died." — said the blue ram — "Last night Blue King was doing that to ponies. But I was too late to feed on their fear."
"This time I got lucky. While observing the terror in Yakyakistan, I feasted on the fear caused by it." — he continued to speak. The crystal ball showed how town after town were attacked in Yakyakistan. King Sombra's army of slaves kept growing.
White-blue lightning destroyed every hut in sight. Many yaks were crippled and tortured by Blue King. In his presence, their courage, hope and strength disappeared like shadows touched by sunlight. Sombra enslaved the survivors. They rushed to beat the others.
The yaks were also hunted by a big flying monster. It was a giant purple winged lioness-mare. She smiled while eating those creatures. Her teeth were light yellow and blade-like. The pink pegasus filly was helping that great monster.
Storms and earthquakes ravaged all of Yakyakistan. After that, King Sombra's slaves continued the destruction of their homeland.
"I felt better than great! My power was increasing faster than ever before. And you were winning in the desert." — said Grogar — "Victories are better when shared with others. So I looked for more enemies of Equestria to join us. Then I found him."
Grogar frowned while looking through the crystal ball. A snowy forest with leafless trees covered in ice could be seen. There stood a monstrous blue-gray reindeer. The beard and hair were light blue. His antlers were as black as coal.
The armour was similar and linked by chains. A part of his chest looked like broken ice covering a dark hole. That cold horror was killing someone. Suddenly the crystal ball began to glow in green. It leapt out of Grogar's hoof.
"We should go and destroy him!" — growled Chrysalis before shooting a big green beam at the crystal ball. It was thrown into the wall. The blue ram tilted his head — "Oh, I appreciate your anger on my behalf."
"But rage shouldn't blind us from the way to reach our goal. We could deal with him after Equestria is ours." — he continued to speak — "If he gets in our way. Furthermore, it was my fault for summoning that cold horror."
"So you're not planning your revenge?" — asked the tall gray mare. Grogar shook his head — "No, not at all. And I don't want you to go after him. That cold horror can continue killing everyone in his forest. I forgive him."
"Grogar, did you have a brain freeze? How can you forgive him after tried to murder you?!" — said Chrysalis. The blue ram replied — "Simply. I survived. Like a force of nature, that monster kills any creature it comes across."
"I should have expected that he would try to murder me. As I said earlier, it was my fault for summoning that cold horror." — he continued to speak — "Of course the situation would be different if he attacked you. I would be trying to destroy him."
"However, now that doesn't need to get in the way of ruining Gusty's legacy." — said Grogar. The tall gray mare smiled and pointed at him — "Aha! You do want revenge! It is just that revenge against Gusty is more important to you than revenge against that monstrous reindeer."
"Gusty has been gone for over a thousand years. So wanting revenge against her would be silly and pointless." — replied the blue ram — "After my banishment, Equestria changed. That change is what I call Gusty's legacy. Its end is my goal."
"I miss sharing magic with monsters who terrorize Equestria. Especially with armies of them." — he continued to speak — "Today I will empower King Sombra as a reward for the fear he caused in Yakyakistan."
"What about Neferet, Cozy and Blue King?" — asked Chrysalis. Grogar answered — What about them? Blue King has enough strength and power. That's what he told me. But I will give some magic to Cozy and Neferet. More for Tirek."
"Good. Hopefully you're not planning to summon them soon. Now we can be alone together. And I want to have fun." — said Chrysalis as she blushed and walked closer to the blue ram.
