Sonia wasn't wrong
I had a dream...
Previous ChapterWhen Sonia was young, her parents were always fawning over Solaris, and overlooking Sonia. Sonia watched them ignore her passions and dreams.
Solaris always had a crowd behind her, and Sonia was always a part of it. Sonia was never considered to have a talent let alone as much as Solaris, with her singing and acting career down at local restaurants.
Sonia, however, had an office job. It was an average paying job for her free time, so she never complained much. But her parents and Solaris sure did like to pester her on her job choice.
Sonia woke up to the screams and screeches of Solaris, and she jumped up to go where she heard the source. Sonia saw Solaris doing what Solaris called "voice exercises" in the middle of her living room.
"Ugh, what are you doing in my house again, you come around here again and I'm taking your key!" Sonia groaned and lamented.
"Yeah, yeah, whatever. I just need to stay here for the night, then I'll leave!" Solaris said while prancing around the room "Onyx is being annoying again so every time he does that, I say I'm staying at my mother's house and come here!"
"Yeah, thanks, but I didn't ask for your backstory." Sonia said and walked to the kitchen to get her leftover hay burger.
She munched on the burger for a few minutes before noticing that Solaris was staring out of the front door.
"What're you doing?" Sonia asked.
"Waiting for Gold." Solaris replied.
"Ugh, why don't you just dump him and buy your own house? It's way better than crashing at your sister's house uninvited whenever you have a fight." Sonia said.
"It's not that simple! I love him!" Solaris reprimanded.
"Okay! Damn.."
Solaris saw Onyx coming towards the house, looking angry. She quickly slammed the door and walked back to the living room. Sonia walked to the windows and closed the drapes, going back to her bedroom.
Sonia braced for what would be the loudest argument ever, sitting on her floor next to her dresser.
"SOLARIS, ARE YOU CRAZY!?" Onyx yelled, as his voice resonated through the entirety of the tiny house.
"WHAT THE FUCK, ONYX!? WHY WOULD YOU BREAK THE FUCKING DOOR!?" Solaris screeched back at him.
"NO! I AM SICK AND TIRED OF YOU RUNNING AWAY TO YOUR LITTLE BOYFRIENDS WHEN I GET MAD AT YOU!"
Sonia cradled a bottle of sedative pills, contemplating whether she should take all of them or not. The argument made her go back to the days when her parents started fighting more. She couldn't think of it, not right now.
"NO, YOU NEED TO GROW THE FUCK UP-AHHHH!" Solaris' screams resonated through Sonia's ears, making her twist the cap off with ease and start gobbling the pills, not even one by one, then grabbing the glass of water on her nightstand and chugging the water to swallow the pills.
Solaris was just stricken by Onyx; right on her face.
"... You hit me... heh, what soul possessed you to actually hit me you BITCH!" Solaris yelled as she swung her purse at him, not letting him dodge and hitting him right on the head.
"ARE YOU CRAZY!?"
"Onyx, this is ove-"
"No you can't end it like this, I sti-"
"No, listen, this is over! Now get the fuck out or I'm calling the police!"
Onyx left the house and Solaris went to Sonia's bedroom door to knock.
"Hey? Sonia? You okay in there?" Solaris didn't hear a response, so she decided to walk back to the living room to get her things and leave to her parent's house.
Little did she know, Sonia's heartbeat was slowing down at a rapid pace, and she only had a few minutes to get help, but that help never came.
Sonia was found dead 4 days later after not being heard from by her family despite them reaching out to her, and after her workplace haven't had her come into work for 3 days.
The funeral was an open casket viewing 12 days after the discovery of her corpse, with many of her family from all parts of the globe showed up. From Phillydelphia to Appleoosa, most of her distant reatives were there.
Solaris felt deeply guilty for her death, fighting in her own house would surely trigger memories from their parents fighting. No one knew what happened that day except for her parents, and they had to console her for most of the ceremony.
