//-------------------------------------------------------// Too Rare to Question -by JesseThaCherry- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Too Rare to Question (Chapter 1) //-------------------------------------------------------// Too Rare to Question (Chapter 1) The rusty and metallic smell of fresh blood filled the air, and Rainbow Dash surveyed her surroundings. So much for that, she couldn’t see, two feet in front of her, the fog was so thick. She realized Rarity, her friend, or SO-called friend was standing there, in front of her laughing sadistically. “This is only going to hurt, well, a lot!” Rarity cheered as she ripped Dash’s wing out of her sockets, leaving it dislocated and limp so she wouldn’t have any chances of escaping. She screamed in utter agony as the twisted pony squealed in happiness as she ripped the other wing out of place. “Isn’t this just, FUN?” She winked at Rainbow Dash, and with that, Dash lost all consciousness she had left. . . . . . . . Twilight kneeled in horror and awe as she held Rainbow Dash who lay on the cold hard ground, lifeless as can be. “WAKE UP! Please... DON’T YOU DARE DO THIS TO ME YOU BASTARD.” Tears starting to blur her vision, “I LOVE YOU WAY TOO FUCKING MUCH TO JUST LET YOU DIE HERE.” Her tears now dripping down her face, soaking her limp body. “Why…?” she asked to herself now, burying her face in his blood soaked chest, sobbing uncontrollably. “It just isn’t fair…” Fluttershy stared at Rainbow dash who was unconscious, but still breathing. Very shallow breaths, but STILL breathing. “R-R-Rainbow Dash? Um. Err, please wake up…” She stood a few hooves back from the bloody mess that was Dash. This whole disaster her chills, and she was terrified; but oddly enough she was the only one that didn’t show it. Applejack stood in terror far back from the huge catastrophe. Rarity refused to be anywhere near the bloodbath, and Pinkie Pie’s joyful, party attitude was gone, more than that, it was oddly gray. Her hair was straight and flat, her pupils dilated. Pinkie had a Crazed look in her gleaming eyes. But it was Dash who appeared the worst of all. She wasn’t even conscious. Her hair was a cut up, ratty mess, her wings broken and bloody, and worst of all: covered in blood from head to hooves. “T-T-Twilight? What’s wrong with her?” Clueless and confused pinkie questioned. “Why isn’t she moving? Is she okay? Is she sleeping or something?” She just didn’t want to hear the truth. Or even accept it into her own mind that Dash would. NO. She wouldn’t even let that into her thoughts. She couldn’t even ponder what Dash would endure when and if she awoke... It was too much to bear. Pinkie met her breaking point and started bawling before Twilight could answer her simple, childish questions, ones she already knew the answer to. “Pinkie.” Twilight explained. “I know this is hard to go through, but please don’t ask questions to make the situation for yourself, and everypony else worse.” This only made Pinkie sob harder and get so worked up she vomited. There was really nothing anyone could do. They were all enveloped in their own worries for themselves and Dash to worry about Pinkie. But, while everypony was busy worrying about what was going on, or what would happen next. Dash regained consciousness. Pinkie’s eyes grew wide with joy, and all of a sudden she was back to, well her annoying Pinkie self. “DASH IS AWAKE!!! DASH IS AWAKE! Ooooo, goodie! She’s awake and she’s okay!” Pinkie sang in exuberance. “Nooo, Dash why did you have to let her KNOW you’re awake. Of all the things that could happen this is THE WORST THING!” Rarity whined wearily. Everypony looked at Rarity, they’d had QUITE enough of her, but they didn’t even know the worst part yet. Guess they’ll have to wait and see! “Oh Rarity, shut the hell up already! Y’all are driving me crazy with your incoherent jibber jabber!” Applejack huffed as she kicked dirt into her too clean friend’s face. Rarity snorted, and shook the dirt off of her silky and shiny coat. There was something odd going on with her. I mean, there always is, but her outlook on all this was a bit too fishy to handle. “For the love of Celestia. I’m going to just kill you all. Forget RD. She’s already as good as dead.” She muttered to herself eager to get rid of them once and for all. Then a piercing scream filled the silence of the cave, and it shattered the ponys’ ears. Rainbow Dash had regained all the feeling she lost when her adrenaline kicked in a few minutes ago, now wearing off completely as she started to interpret what was going on around her. “Please, Twilight… Help me?” The beautiful blue pony’s eyes now filled with pain and confusion as she tried to grip the reality of what was really happening. “Shhh, it’s okay Rainbow, I’m here.” Twilight’s eyes sparkled reassuringly at her, gleaming even. She had a smile on her face, though her eyes were filling with even more tears. They kept flowing. “Everything’s okay now. You’re awake and that’s all that matters.” Pinkie’s attention went back to Rainbow Dash, seeing that she was in such great pain, and they’d probably all die trying to get out of there, if they only knew who did this. Then they might stand a chance. “Is she okay?” The pink pony pondered as she stumbled towards Twilight and Rainbow. “Rainbow? How are you? Do you hurt? Where do you hurt? I’ll help!” Pinkie tried nudging her snout under Rainbow to pick her up, but a shriek of suffering pursed through her lips which made Pinkie leap back, dropping Rainbow. Another whimper coming out of her mouth. “Oh my gosh. I am so, so, so, so, SO sorry Dashie!” Pinkie cried in hopes that her friend wouldn’t hate her forever. That was her worst fear. Being hated was her LEAST favorite thing! “Oh, Pinkie. It’s all right, right? At least I’m alive and conscious!” Rainbow comforted her. “Really, I’m okay.” She encouraged so the pink pony wouldn’t have to worry. “Okey dokey lokey!” Pinkie beamed in happiness and started bouncing and galloping around the cave. Her attention had left Rainbow, and entered the magic of the beautiful, jeweled cave. “Well this is just WONDERFUL. We are getting NOWHERE here, ponies. Dammit, c’mon! Then sooner we start heading out is the sooner we can be home, happy as can fucking be!” Rarity roared in anger as all the ponies gathered around Dash to make sure she was okay. Maybe it wasn’t such a good idea in the first place… No, it was. This way she had no hopes of flying herself out of this one! Gosh would her mentor be so proud when he found that she had done such magnificent, hideous things to her “friends”. “R-R-Rarity, it isn’t fair that you’re bossing us all around. I mean, you shouldn’t, Ohh… Never mind.” Fluttershy trailed off as she dove farther into the mess of her statement as Rarity just gave her the dirtiest look. She buried her hands in her hooves and started sniveling quietly. Rarity was frightening her. “We need to… We need to keep moving. I can still walk. See?” With that, Rainbow Dash got up, slowly, but surely and limped towards Fluttershy. Rainbow gazed into her eyes, trying to look as eased as possible. But then she collapsed, unable to get back up, even with the help of her friends at each of her sides. “It’s no use, we’ll never make it out of here...” Cried the pony who had been so reassuring and confident, the one who could conquer even the hardest of challenges. She had given up, which is exactly what Rarity was hoping she’d do; just the spark to keep the ponies hopeless. //-------------------------------------------------------// Too Rare to Question (Chapter 2) //-------------------------------------------------------// Too Rare to Question (Chapter 2) Everypony lay in a heap on the ground, hopeless of survival. Mysteriously Rarity had disappeared, but nopony had even noticed because they were so wrapped up in all of their own problems to even care about that dreadful pony right then. They should have worried though; they should have been paying attention, because now they cost themselves their lives, which were already hanging by a string. . . . . . . . . Rarity was getting much too impatient as she waited for Discord to stop what the fuck it was Discord does so she could tell him her great news. He was busy laughing at Ponies puking out pumpkins and all sorts of other squashes. God was it hilarious, Rarity couldn’t keep herself from making a little chuckle. That’s what finally snapped Discord back into reality, or… let’s say “Discord” reality. “What have you accomplished now, my sweet and shining star?” Discord questioned Rarity as he gave her a little tickle on the chin. She giggled and then regained her composure. “They’ve lost all hope! There’s no way they’ll even come to realize what’s going on here in Equestria while they’re stuck in that dingy old cave!” Rarity responded in delight, and Discord looked very pleased with this, but his expression gave a hint he needed more, something else. “Dear, are any of them in any condition to have the chance of escaping?” Discord pondered. He wondered if it would have just been a better idea to do the job himself… but no. They needed to be defeated by somepony they trusted and loved. Too bad she hadn’t any of those feelings left for them! “Of course not. They’re either too damaged mentally or physically to stand on their own four hooves, or just so hopeless they don’t even care anymore! It’s sooo wonderful!” Rarity cheered gleefully as her imagination let her thoughts run wild. She pondered going back to the cave to finish them now, all at once. No, that was too easy, and not nearly fun enough! She would just wait like the good little pony she was. “That’s wonderrrrful! I’m so glad I have such a wonderful pony like you as my shining star.” Discord declared in satisfaction and gave her a wink as he snickered in delight. “I love this! Care for some cotton candy? I have plenty!” He beamed as he pulled a large string of the sugary delight off of one of the 100s of candy clouds and shoved the whole thing into his distorted mouth. “Oh... Um, no thank you. I don’t eat sweets.” Of course those words were slipping from that pony’s mouth. She couldn’t risk gaining even ONE pound! She would not have it. “Thank you for the... uh, gesture thought, Discord.” She contemplated in her thoughts if it would hurt to just have the tiniest bite of the pure sugar, but she pushed those silly thoughts out of her mind. “Ohhh, you’re no fun!” Discord sang as he surveyed his beautiful disaster. He was really pleased with himself, though he kept moving more areas and homes, making it either impossible to enter or leave a pony’s residence. “You better get back to work now Rarity, go check on the to make sure they haven’t... hmmm, what’s the word? Oh, escaped! Haha, this is just delightful.” Discord expressed through his never frowning lips. Yes, of course… That’s what she’d wanted him to do since she got there. “Of course, sir. Your wish is my command.” If only he knew what was really going on in her mind. “I’ll stay with them now, to make sure there are no, err, complications.” So she trekked her way back to the cave, falling in a mud pit, and cutting her cheek on a sharp branch. “Ohh, I’ve had quite enough of this!” she murmured to herself right as she entered the cave opening, peering through to make sure nopony was there to catch a glimpse of her. “Phew, it’s clear.” Rarity muttered fatigued from all the obstacles she had faced on the tread to the dark and frightening cave. She stomped her way back to where all the ponies were when she left, only to find them all still laying in heaps on the hard rock floor wallowing in their self-pity. Wow, what a bunch of babies. She was so intrigued and delighted in the hopelessness that she barely realized Fluttershy was trying to talk to her. “Huh, what?” she asked completely clueless. “Um, where did you go? I noticed you were gone but I was too afraid to g-g-go look for you…” Fluttershy questioned Rarity with big, blue eyes set straight on her in confusion. “Oh let me show you! I found so many beautiful jewels on my walk trying to find a way out.” With that, Rarity lead Fluttershy farther into the cave, leading her far away from the exit, which was Rarity’s plan all along. “Now, we just go through this tunnel here.” Exclaimed Rarity, who was actually leading Fluttershy for away from Jewels of any kind, far away from anyone, where nopony would be able to hear or see her scream. “It’s s-s-so foggy. Are you s-s-sure we’re in th-the right place Rarity?” Questioned Fluttershy, who was seeking the truth. “Where are the jewels? I can’t see two stinking feet in front of me!” Fluttershy was starting to lose her temper. “Oh, huh. That’s weird, there wasn’t any fog here when I went before.” Rarity lied straight through her teeth. But then again, she’d been lying the whole time, and no one even had the slightest idea she was so, devious, so clever, so evil. “Oh, where am I? Where are you? What’s going on Rarity?” Fluttershy asked, now bawling her eyes out. She had the worst feeling of this all along, she contemplated even going with Rarity to see the “jewels”, but she made the wrong choice and decided to second-guess her instinct. “Shhh, it’s okay Fluttershy. I’m right here.” Rarity looked into Fluttershy’s bright beautiful eyes with a sympathetic look. “Too bad I have to kill you, I really did like you.” “Oh… okay. Thanks Rari… WHAT? KILL ME? What are you talking about!! Get away from me!” Fluttershy started hyperventilating and crying even harder than before. She knew in her gut that this was a bad idea… and now no one would even hear her screams. No one had even known they left. She should have trust herself, but she didn’t, and now she’s going to die. Rarity howled in laughter, “You really CAN’T spell slaughter without laughter!” She started busting up laughing even more, and gave Fluttershy a blow on the head with her front hooves and knocked the poor frightened pony out. Fluttershy’s last words came out of her mouth, fading into nothing, but still able to be interpreted, “I thought… we… were… friends…” and with that, Fluttershy lost all consciousness. //-------------------------------------------------------// Too Rare To Question (Chapter 3) //-------------------------------------------------------// Too Rare To Question (Chapter 3) Fluttershy woke up, trying to stretch her legs, but found there was no of doing so because they were bound to the cave wall, though she STILL had no idea what was going on around her because the fog was even thicker than it was before. She tried to scream only to find that she couldn’t make even the tiniest peep. Her mouth was glued shut, and she was in the worst pain. It was incomparable to anything she had ever felt in her entire life. “Oh, goodie. You’re awake.” Rarity exclaimed with far too much joy. She had a twisted and distorted smile on her face, as she carefully assembled a various number of sharp objects in an array on a tray. “This won’t hurt a bit.” Rarity snickered as she took a scalpel as choice of her first cutting tool. Fluttershy struggled to get free of the demented pony’s psychotic game. All she could do was sit there and watch as her former friend cut her into pieces. As the first blade met her flesh, she ripped the skin off her lips as she pried her mouth open and let out the most excruciating scream. “Oh Fluttershy. You’re making this much harder than it really has to be.” Rarity shook her head in disappointment. “You’re just causing us both more trouble, and neither of us want that, do we?” “I h-h-hate you. Why are you doing this to me?” Fluttershy’s eyes filled with hatred for Rarity. “I thought we were friends. Who did this to you? Is this even you? What deranged asshole did this to you?” “Oh, so many questions, so little time.” Rarity spoke as she made the second incision on Fluttershy’s now crimson red body, and she screamed even louder. “You’re quite the screamer. I didn’t think you had it in you!” Rarity gave her a nasty smile with the words that passed her lips. “P-p-p-please don’t do this. We’re friends, remember?” Fluttershy shrieked as the blade of the scalpel dragged across her fur, oozing out blood as the gash grew larger. “What’s wrong with you!?” Fluttershy queried with a cold, hard voice. “Oh, nothing’s wrong with me. I’m perfectly fine, Fluttershy.” Rarity sang in amusement. She was having far too much fun killing Fluttershy, who was terrified and alone. Then again, she was a very, very timid pony to begin with. “Please, please let me go. I promise not to tell anyone about this, I mean, if that’s okay with you.” Fluttershy cried as she gave Rarity the friendliest look she could muster. Her eyes filled with tears because she knew in her poor, defenseless heart, that Rarity wouldn’t cooperate. “Goodbye, Rarity. Just finish me now, i-i-it would be best that way. You were an amazing friend, and you won’t be forgotten.” Fluttershy took a deep inhale, and let her tears shed down her face, onto her half-hearted smile. “RARITY???? FLUTTERSHY?” They both heard Applejack scream at the top of her lungs. They both cocked their heads quickly in the direction of the voice. Before Fluttershy could scream back, Rarity shoved some pills down her throat and she was out cold. Quickly Rarity packed everything and hid it away. She only had moments left before they would find her out; she was panicking. But, as any intelligent psychopath she new exactly what to do and let Fluttershy drop to the ground with a thud as she untied her from the cave wall. Rarity’s eyes filled with fake, heartless tears and she started screaming back “HELLO? WHERE ARE YOU?! Something happened to Fluttershy!” “Oh god! Rarity, lead us to your voice! We need to help her!” Twilight’s voice echoed off the cave walls and bounced around for a few seconds before fading into nothing. “Okay, I’m coming to you!” Rarity wailed, trying to stifle a laugh at her friends’ pain. She started galloping towards them, at full speed to keep her act going, and not let them on that she was faking everything. “Oh goodness, are you okay? Where’s Fluttershy? Is she conscious? Is she going to die?” Twilight filled Rarity’s head with 1,000 questions before she had the chance to answer any of them. “Will you SHUT UP? We must hurry if we’re going to get to her before she dies!” Rarity screamed at Twilight in fake agony and pain, as more heartless tears filled her eyes. “Hurry, come with me.” She made sure to take her time getting to Fluttershy so maybe the pony would bleed to death before they had a chance to save her. But finally, she had to stop stalling before she blew her cover and they figured out something was up. “Okay, it’s just over here.” Rarity sang, almost in amusement. “Flutteryshy? Are you okay?” Rainbow asked in a hoarse, rigid voice. If only she remembered what happened to her, then she would have known Rarity was the attacker. No answer, just the sound of all the ponies panting in hysteria. “Is.. Is she gone?” Rainbow’s question bounced around in everyponys’ heads for a few minutes. Nopony had enough hope to go see if the poor, helpless pony was even breathing. “I think so, Dash…” Rarity pretended to be as upset and confused as everyone else. But, with that sentence, Fluttershy’s eyes flickered open with a few pained blinks.
