-PrinceOfDarkness.
Angel With A Shotgun.
Long ago, at the start of the universe, there was nothing, and then there was something.
After that God and His wife Ashera came into existence. Soon, their many angelic children.
For many millenia, they were happy in their home of Heaven. God took up a hobby, a pet project He called 'Humanity'.
But things change, don't they? Samael became rebellious, desiring Free Will, and fought against his family, causing one third to rally with him.
He and his fallen siblings lost the war, all of whom were brutally slaughtered by Azrael's blade. Samael was judged by his father and condemned to rule Hell for all eternity. Samael renounced his birth name and changed it to Lucifer.
One of his other brothers, Zarachiel, was thrown out of Heaven alongside his brother. However, Zarachiel, due to God's blinded rage, was sent to another reality.
Zarachiel ended up in Equestria during the Summer Sun Celebration. He'd befriended the princesses and started to date Princess Celestia.
Their relationship went from days which soon turned into weeks. Those weeks soon turned into months, and those months soon turned into years
Eventually, Zarachiel and Princess Celestia consumated and soon Celestia was pregnant with their child. A nephilim pony alicorn. Their child would get their horn from their mother's genes and their wings from their father.
A year later, their child was born during a sunset which they named the child after.
What the archangel and alicorn didn't know was that Zarachiel's father, God, had planned it all along. He planned to show Zarachiel how to rule a kingdom when it came time for Him and His wife to eventually retire.
Zarachiel looked down at his wife in the hospital bed. The white alicorn held their infant daughter. The foal had kournikova fur, a red and yellow mane and beautiful blue eyes like her father. As soon as she saw their baby girl for the first time, they immediately fell in love with her.
The Archangel of Life felt a tear trickle down his cheek as he stared at his baby girl. She was so beautiful, reminding him of the beauty of his former home. Heaven. His aura and Celestia's magical signature both overlapped each other as they formed a glowing outline around the filly.
She stared at her husband, tears of joy and love in her eyes as she rocked their sleeping daughter.
"What shall we name her, Zarachiel?" Celestia asked softly, her voice low as to not wake their child from her slumber.
The Archangel of Life thought about names. He looked out the window towards the sunset, contemplating a name for his little fledgling.
He stared at the orb as it lowered, immediately thinking of a name.
"Sunset. Named after the setting sun. She will do so many great things. I just know it, Celly." Zarachiel crooned lovingly towards his daughter and wife. He kissed Sunset's forehead, reminding himself of where her tiny and blunt horn was.
The redhead unicorn opened her eyes and stared at her father, babbling sleepily as she nuzzled him instinctively. The Archangel of Life felt a lump form in his throat as he stared down into the pools of blue that gazed back at him.
Sunset cooed and fell back asleep in her father's arms. His aura soothed her as she slept in his arms.
Zarachiel kissed Sunset's cheek, tears in his eyes.
"I will never leave you, Sunset. I promise. I will always be here for you, no matter what." The Archangel of Life promised, gently rocking her in his arms as he hummed to her. He sang in the ancient language of Enochian, a language all angels knew how to speak.
Soon, the royal couple and their child had been taken back to Canterlot Castle. The family of three were in Celestia's and Zarachiel's room. Sunset lay between them as the Archangel of Life wrapped a giant, feathery wing around her. The limb provided warmth, darkness and softness. His body was indestructible and could only die by Azrael's Blade Of Death.
As they and Sunset got into bed, God appeared before them. A few angels behind Him. All of whom Zarachiel knew.
"Hello, Dad ." Zarachiel spat, wanting his father to leave and never return. All he wanted was to be by his wife and daughter's side.
"Zarachiel, it has been far too long and I have many things I need to say to you. Will you let me? I promise I will leave you alone afterwards. You deserve happiness, son." God said sadly, staring at His son.
He, at first, had never liked Free Will. It complicated His omniscience, which terrified Him, acting as the reason why He never wanted His angels to have it. After He had seen it used by humans, He had seen His error in judgement. He had been aware of Zarachiel's life in Equestria. He'd planned it. His son's rebellion was part of the plan, as was sending Zarachiel to Equestria.
The Archangel of Life went silent at his father's words. Why was he here? To torture him? To kill his wife and daughter?
God read His son's thoughts, saddened and horrified by how His son felt.
"I would never do that to you, son. She being born and you coming to this world were part of the plan." God explained slowly, watching His son's expression morph from anger, to shock, then sadness and back to anger.
"Why? Why would you kick me out? All I and Samael truly wanted was Free Will, the ability to make our own judgements and choices. But no, you refused and kicked us out because of it." Zarachiel snarled angrily, his wings flared above his back.
God watched and felt his heart break. He had no doubt that His son would be angry with Him. He had every right.
"I cast you and Samael away because I wanted the both of you to learn how to rule a kingdom. Samael has ruled Hell, and it is fair and just. Your way of ruling here is fair and just. You are a wonderful ruler, as is your brother. You're both savvy in a way that your siblings will never be unless they let go of their rigid views of the world. Azrael, Amenadiel and Castiel are all far ahead of that. I am truly sorry, son. For casting you out and hiding the real reason." God replied gently, saddened by what His son thought of Him.
Zarachiel tried to wrap his head around it all. He had been kicked out just to learn how to rule? That was it? Zarachiel was even more angry with his father.
God heard His son's thoughts and looked at him sadly. That wasn't the only reason.
"I also sent you here to find love, to learn what love is and what it feels like to be loved in a way that is different from parental love. I knew your daughter would be born. She will be the balance of both worlds. Heaven and Equestria. I am sorry that I never told you, Zarachiel. I believed it was for your own good. I see now that I made a mistake. You are happy here and I don't intend on taking that away from you." God explained, watching His son. He knew that Zarachiel may never trust Him again because of His arrogance and pride.
"Y-You mean that I-I was meant to be here? That I can stay with my wife and my daughter?" Zarachiel asked, his throat tight as he felt a rush of emotions. Anger, hatred, sadness, relief, joy and betrayal.
"Yes, my son. That is correct. I am sorry, for not telling you sooner." God spoke sadly. He knew that Zarachiel would probably never want to be anywhere near Him. God couldn't blame His son for how he felt.
"I believe our...confrontation has lasted long enough already. Even for immortal, timeless beings such as ourselves, millenia of no contact is far too long. We are family. I cannot express how much I have missed you in the Silver City, Zarachiel. Each day felt like a century. And I cannot tell you how much I wished to take you back. I have quenched my anger and nothing but sorrow emerged many, many eons ago, and all that is left is the desire to put this behind us." God explained, tears in His eyes.
"You really think that after all those years, he'll forgive you just like that?" Celestia growled, getting up as she flew and stood in front of Zarachiel. She flared her wings protectively, not wanting to lose her husband.
"I will not take him by force, I simply wish for him to return home. He may return whenever he wants, even if it's just to visit." God replied softly, not willing to risk His daughter-in-law's wrath.
Their discussion and Zarachiel's anger had disturbed Sunset, waking her up. The now distressed infant whimpered and cried, triggering Zarachiel's fatherly instincts as he rocked his daughter back to sleep. God looked down at the unicorn foal and smiled warmly.
He looked over at Zarachiel, a warm and gentle smile on His lips as he gazed at His son.
"May I hold her?" He asked, wanting to hold His granddaughter. He wanted to be in her life and be there for her. She would be immortal, like Him, her parents and her divine family. They were unable to die of age. He knew it would cause problems for her in the future.
Zarachiel looked to his wife, who nodded and smiled. She wanted her husband to rebuild the bond with his father. This was the perfect opportunity. Not to mention that she had wanted to meet her father-in-law.
Zarachiel eventually nodded, giving permission. He gently handed Sunset over to her grandfather, who moved His arms to cradle the amber filly within them.
"Look at you, my beautiful granddaughter." God cooed lovingly at the foal who slept as His aura kept Sunset in a light sleep, strengthening the aura that flowed through her body. He could sense that her wings were still growing and would require a year longer before they were ready to unfurl and grow.
Zarachiel noticed how gently his father held Sunset, rocking her as he doted over her. Zarachiel observed the look on his father's face, one he'd been on the recieving end of, once upon a time. Back when he himself was an infant in the arms of his father and mother.
Zarachiel came out of his thoughts as his father handed Sunset back to him.
God felt pleased at meeting His grandchild. It would be a rocky road, mending the bond with His son. He handed Sunset back to Zarachiel, who held his daughter ever so gently.
Jophiel squealed quietly as she looked at her baby brother, her eyes asking for permission to hold Sunset. Zarachiel rolled his eyes as he nodded, handing the amber unicorn to her aunt.
Jophiel adjusted her arms as she cooed and sang to her niece. The muse gently swayed to her tune, keeping Sunset asleep as she sang and danced to the melody she'd created.
Eventually, Jophiel finished the melody and handed the amber filly back to Zarachiel as he gently laid Sunset in her crib. The Archangel of Life tucked her in, making sure she'd be warm and comfortable enough for the night.
God placed a hand on Zarachiel's shoulder, squeezing it gently, showing His support.
"If you ever wish to visit, I'll be waiting. Your wife and daughter are also welcome to visit anytime." God said. He wanted His granddaughter to visit Heaven from time-to-time as she grew up.
Remiel walked over and stared at her niece, smiling warmly. She would never dare harm her own flesh and blood. Sunset would be left alone and unharmed.
She turned to Zarachiel, her double-sided spear in her left hand.
"Sunset has my protection, big brother. I promise you that if anyone dares to try and harm her, they will find themselves not being shown mercy." Remiel said, hugging her older brother as both siblings made up for what happened in the past.
God teleported the three of them away, leaving Celestia, Zarachiel and Sunset in peace.
Husband and wife climbed into bed as Celestia used her magic to grab Sunset and tuck her between their bodies, making sure she was safe and warm enough as she slept.
Soon enough, both Zarachiel and Celestia fell asleep in one another's embrace.

Author's Note
Sunset has yet to meet her uncle Lucifer A.K.A Samael, as well as her aunt Azrael, Sariel and Ariel.
Sandalphon will also make his debut. Metatron will also get a scene in the story.
Sunset's power is around what Twilight's was when she hatched Spike. However, due to possessing alicorn magic and Enochian magic through her parents, she's much stronger with both forms of magic.
Jophiel often sends Sunset gifts such as toys, pictures of Heaven and stuffed animals.
Gabriel is the fun uncle, telling Sunset jokes as well as playing with her and babysitting her.
Ariel, Sariel, Jophiel, Raphael and Remiel also help to take care of her. Sometimes, Amenadiel, Castiel, God and Goddess help out and take care of Sunset when her parents are busy in Day Court.
In the next chapter, it takes place when Twilight fights nightmare moon and restores Luna. Sunset helps her and the rest of the Elements of Harmony out.
Sunset becomes one of the elements. The Element of Forgiveness.
Ashes.
Many years had passed since Sunset's birth. She was at the age of seven years old, and was an active little filly.
Zarachiel was teaching Sunset how to unfurl and furl her wings, helping her learn to control her body. Due to being a nephilim and an alicorn, her wings grew quicker, and thus required more preening and molting. She had a higher metabolic rate and possessed enhanced rapid healing and regeneration.
She was invincible to all mortal weapons, but was susceptible to Enochian and Equestrian magic.
He'd taught Sunset the Enochian language, as well as Enochian magic, should it be required for use.
He'd also taught Sunset how to realm travel into Heaven. She'd gotten good at doing it, making her father proud of her every single time.
All of her aunts, as well as Castiel and a few of her others uncles welcomed her into the fold immediately.
The Archangel of Life and his daughter were spending time together in his and Celestia's room. Suddenly, a flap of large wings behind them made itself known.
Zarachiel turned around to see Amenadiel, his older brother. Amenadiel had black skin, stood at a height of six foot three and had dark brown eyes. He was bald, as he preferred not to have any hair.
"Amenadiel." Zarachiel greeted sharply. He and his older brother didn't always see eye-to-eye on things. It was why Zarachiel was close with Jophiel, Castiel, Gabriel, Raphael, Lucifer, Azrael, Sariel and Ariel. They were a small clique of Archangels, a small division of the rank, aside from Michael and Uriel.
"Zarachiel." Amenadiel greeted back, nodding to his younger brother as he furled his wings away. The Wrath of God walked over to his brother and niece.
"Uncle Amenadiel!" Sunset squealed, running over to her over as she hugged the tall angel. Amenadiel lowered himself to a knee in order to hug his niece. He didn't mind. She was family and he obeyed his father's commands.
"Hey, Sunset. It's nice to see you again. How've you been?" Amenadiel asked her curiously, wanting to find out how she was faring,
"I'm good! Daddy's teaching me how to use my wings!" Sunset said, smiling happily as she ran over to her father and hugged him, earning a chuckle from the older angel.
"You're a wonderful father, Zarachiel. At first, I doubted you as a parent. I believed you wouldn't want to be one or despised children. I realize that I was wrong, brother. I want us to start over. You're an amazing father, I'm proud of you." Amenadiel said, frowning at first before he smiled.
Zarachiel nodded and smiled, showing that he held no malice towards his older brother.
"If anything, Amenadiel, I'm sorry, too. I joined Samael's rebellion because I wanted Free Will, and I felt I didn't have it. Dad's already forgiven me, and so has Jophiel and Raphael. I don't know if Azrael, Gabriel or Castiel have. Turns out, Dad also cast me away in order to learn how to run a kingdom. He knew I'd end up here. Frankly, I'm grateful, Amenadiel. If you ever become a father, be better than our Dad was to us." Zarachiel said, walking over to his older brother as he hugged him.
Both brothers hugged before patting each other's shoulder. Both angels eventually pulled away as they nodded to one another.
Zarachiel unfurled his wings as Sunset nuzzled his left one, earning a chuckle from him as he ruffled his daughter's mane.
"I love you, Daddy." Sunset cooed, nuzzling her father affectionately as he bent down and kissed her forehead, being mindful of her horn.
"I love you too, my little sunbeam. You're my little filly and I will always love you, support you and be here for you whenever you need me." Zarachiel replied, picking up his daughter as he gently held the amber filly in his arms. Amenadiel smiled at the sight. Zarachiel was a very quiet and gentle angel. He cared deeply for his older and younger siblings. The only ones he didn't get along with were Azazel, Uriel and Michael.
As Zarachiel prepared to take Sunset to her mother, they were interrupted by more flapping of wings.
"Heyo!" Gabriel said, walking out from behind their older brother. The Archangel of Messages had blue eyes, blond hair, he stood at five foot seven and had giant gold wings that were fifteen foot in length and a meter in height.
Gabriel furled his wings away as he gazed over at his older brothers, then his niece.
"Where'd ya think you're taking the kiddo?" Gabriel asked playfully. He loved to joke and play pranks. But whenever family or friends were hurt, he turned serious and could severely maim or even kill other angels or humans who harmed them.
"I'm taking her to her mom. I want her to be able to spend time with her mother as well. Yeah, Celly works a lot, but she does try and take time to spend time with Sunset and myself." Zarachiel replied. As he was about to leave, their bedroom door opened to reveal Celestia on the other side as she smiled at him.
The mother alicorn looked over at her little filly in her father's arms. She flared her magic as she plucked Sunset from Zarachiel's arms and placed the amber filly in front of her face as she blew a raspberry on Sunset's tummy.
The bacon-maned filly giggled loudly, causing both of her parents and her uncles to smile at the sight.
Eventually, Celestia stopped as she placed Sunset on her back, letting her little filly nap on her. She'd had a long day learning magic from her parents, as well as learning how to control her wings from Zarachiel.
"I think you're forgetting someone, Zarachiel." A voice taunted, revealing Jophiel and Raphael, as well as Castiel.
Jophiel had blonde hair, blue eyes, stood at a height of five foot five and had giant pink and purple wings which shimmered with stardust that had coated them since she'd gotten them as a young fledgling.
Sunset awoke to the sound of her aunt Jophiel's voice as she squealed and ran over to the archangel. The muse lowered herself and opened her arms wide, inviting Sunset for a hug.
"Auntie Jophiel!" Sunset yelled, the amber filly leaping into the arms of her elder aunt who tickled her tummy and booped her nose. Both females giggled, Raphael joining in as she walked over to her older sister and niece.
"Hey sweetie, how are you doing?" Jophiel asked warmly, cuddling her niece in her arms as Sunset sighed and embraced the action, closing her eyes as she basked in the love and warmth of her aunt's hug.
The muse gently ran her hand through Sunset's mane as she softly and slowly sang Sunset's favorite song to her, relaxing Sunset as she let her aunt sing to her.
Once the song came to an end, Jophiel let Raphael have her turn with the amber filly.
Raphael had dark brown hair, brown eyes, stood at a height of five foot three and had dark brown wings. The Archangel of Healing gently placed her hand on Sunset's wing, soothing the exhausted muscles that controlled and operated the limb.
Sunset's eyes drooped as she fell fast asleep, exhaustion taking her over. The amber filly slept as she snored peacefully, a smile on her muzzle.
Raphael dawwed and squealed quietly at the sight, not wanting to disturb her niece and wake her up. The woman gently bent down and kissed Sunset's cheek softly as she looked down at the sleeping filly.
Zarachiel and Celestia grinned at the sight of their precious baby girl sleeping next to her aunt.
Raphael gazed up at her older brother, gently picking Sunset up as she cradled her in her arms. She walked over to Zarachiel and placed the bacon-maned filly in his arms.
Zarachiel passed Sunset to her mother, who graciously took her to her bedroom across the hall.
Castiel looked at his older brother as he kept a straight face.
"Brother." Castiel said in his usual gruff tone. He had white skin, black hair and blue eyes. He stared into Zarachiel's golden eyes, not looking away.
"Castiel." Zarachiel replied, nodding to his younger brother.
"Your daughter seems sleepy." Castiel said, his voice quieter. The seraph had been a fledgling himself at one point and understood that his niece needed her sleep.
Castiel wore a cream-colored trenchcoat, a white button-up shirt with the top button undone with a loose blue tie under the collar. He wore black pants and black boots. Castiel had cream wings. Each row of feathers a different color, shaded from darker on the outside on the primaries, to lighter on the secondaries and coverts.
The seraph furled his wings away, a whoosh of wind following the action.
"I'm sorry I fought against you during Samael's rebellion. Many years have passed in Heaven and on Earth. I understand now why you wanted Free Will and to live life the way you wanted to. I'm sorry, Zarachiel." Castiel said, lowering his head in shame as he walked over and hugged the Archangel of Life.
Castiel hadn't always been gruff, strict and emotionless. He knew he was traumatized from the rebellion. Castiel decided to serve Heaven's army, now deciding to stay on Earth with two brothers named Sam and Dean Winchester.
Zarachiel hugged him back as both brothers reconciled, letting go of the past as they moved on and focused on the present and the future.
Both brothers eventually pulled away as they nodded to each other.
"If you ever need someone to babysit her, look after her or train her, I'll help." Castiel said, unfurling his wings as he walked to the balcony and flew back to Heaven. Gabriel, Raphael, Jophiel and Amenadiel doing the same,
Zarachiel sighed tiredly. He hadn't seen Castiel in so long. He didn't realize that time had passed that fast to him. For everyone else, it must have been eons.
Celestia eventually returned to their chambers as the couple fell asleep, holding one another as they slept.

Author's Note
In this chapter, Goddess makes her debut and meets her granddaughter for the very first time.
Champagne Supernova.
Zarachiel and Celestia were playing with Sunset in the castle gardens. As Sunset leapt into her mother's hooves, Zarachiel picked up a presence. One he had not felt in many years.
"Hello, Mom. Zarachiel said coldly, turning around to face his mother.
Goddess had blue eyes and blonde hair. Her form was a spitting image of the woman who's soul was taken to Heaven by Amenadiel. Charlotte Richards had died and sacrificed herself for Amenadiel, knowing she'd die.
"Hello, my sweet boy." Goddess cooed tenderly, walking over to her soon in her high heels. Zarachiel had his mother's hair and eye color, whereas he had his father's power of giving and taking life along with healing.
"Cut the bullshit, Mom. I know why you're here. Dad informed me that you begged him to spare me by sending me away instead of killing me. What you didn't realize was that he planned it all along. Dad was aware of what you had planned. I won't let you hurt my wife or my daughter." Zarachiel said, glaring at his mother as he unfurled his white and gold wings, raising them in case of needing to attack.
Goddess started to frown as she lowered her head in shame. She'd tried to harm her children and her husband.
"I know, my angel. I'm so sorry. I don't want to bring you or our family harm. Your father has informed me of everything. We've settled our differences and fixed things between us." Goddess apologized sincerely, feeling salty tears leak down her cheeks as she pulled her son into her arms.
Both mother and son eventually pulled away, staring into each other's eyes.
The blonde-haired woman tucked his wings away, removing a few broken feathers he seemed to be unaware of.
Eventually, both mother and son pulled away. Goddess stared into her son's golden eyes as he stared back into her own glowing gold and hazel orbs.
Celestia stared over at her husband who nodded, showing his mother meant no harm. The white alicorn walked over to her mother-in-law, afraid of what she would do to her.
Zarachiel picked Sunset up and held her in his arms, his arm supporting her back as Goddess stared down at her granddaughter with shock, joy and excitement. She managed to barely hold herself back from squealing as she stared at Sunset.
The little filly stared at her, tilting her head in confusion as she turned to her father who chuckled softly, finding his daughter's expression absolutely adorable.
"That's your grandma, Sunset. My mother." Zarachiel said, introducing his daughter to her grandmother. Sunset's eyes lit up as she smiled.
The amber filly jumped into her grandmother's arms. The woman quickly caught her and adjusted her hands to hold her granddaughter. Sunset giggled and cuddled into her grandmother, earning a smile and gentle kiss on the side of her head.
Goddess was overjoyed at having a granddaughter. She was still upset with her husband for making their children, including Zarachiel, think they were infertile. They weren't. Angels could procreate and create nephilim. Goddess realized that Sunset was exactly that. A nephilim.
She didn't mind. Sunset was perfect and absolutely adorable.
Goddess gently hummed to Sunset, cradling the filly as she was rocked back and forth in the arms of her grandmother.
Eventually, Sunset had fallen asleep and nuzzled Goddess as she slept.
The woman handed Sunset back to Zarachiel, who flew the filly to her room.
As Zarachiel took care of Sunset and put her to bed, Goddess had gotten to know her daughter-in-law a bit more.
The Archangel of Life flew back to his wife and mother in the Throne Room. He kept his wings out just in case he needed to return.
Goddess smiled at her son as he stood next to Celestia, leaning down to kiss her.
The blonde-haired woman waved and teleported back to Heaven, leaving the couple in peace.
