Chapters Digimon Adventure: Storm Warning
Chapter 1 Welcome To The Digital World
Zipp groaned a little as her eyes slowly opened. Her vision was blurry, and there was a loud ringing in her ears. She could hear herself panting for air as she stood up. She almost fell back down as she staggered a little to the left. What had happened to her? She felt like she had just flown and ran a marathon. But she couldn't recall anything. She closed her eyes and started to take deep breaths. She breathed through her nose and slowly exhaled through her mouth. The ringing did eventually stop, and so did the headache. When she opened her eyes again, her vision was clear. She was in the middle of a deep forest. It didn't look a thing like Bridlewood. It didn't look like any forest she had seen. The trees were tall, and their bark looked almost smooth.
She asked herself. “Where am I?”
She took a step back only to feel her leg bump into something. She turned to look and see what she had bumped. To her surprise, she had bumped into some kind of strange creature. It looked like a small red ball with black markings, ears that looked like bat wings, and a tail. It lay on the ground sleeping. Was it sleeping next to her? Cautiously she moved closer to it. When her face was just inches away from it, it suddenly sneezed. She yelled and backed away from it. It was then she heard it whine.
It then spoke. “C-C-Cold.” It shivered as it tried to curl itself up.
Zipp didn't think twice about her next move. She got close to the creature again and picked it up. She held it close to her body; the poor thing was freezing. It whimpered and whined a little. But, she gently shushed it. It stopped shivering after it found a comfortable spot on her chest. For a moment, the two sat in silence.
The creature thanked her. “Thank you.” It nuzzled her before it introduced itself, “My name is Gigimon. What's your name?”
Zipp answered, “I'm Zipp.” She smiled before continuing. “It's nice to meet you, Gigimon.”
He smiled while his tail wagged before it asked. “Are you my partner?”
She replied, “What?” It had caught her off guard.
Gigimon answered. “You have a Digivice that has my scent on it.” It smiled happily before it continued, “We're partners!” It then nuzzled her.
Zipp was about to ask until she saw a small string hanging down her neck. She followed it down to her chest. There hanging on the other end, was some kind of strange device. It had the look of a small camera. On its front, it had one large button in the middle and two smaller ones. She pressed the button in the middle activating the device. A sizeable holographic screen floated above it. She saw herself on the screen. Was this what Gigimon was seeing right now? After a few seconds, it powered down.
A voice male voice then spoke to them. “Aw! A new tamer and its digimon.”
Zipp shot to her hooves while Gigimon took a defensive stance in front of her. She looked around, trying to see where the voice had come from. A shadow then passed over her. She looked up and saw another strange creature falling from the sky. It landed in front of them and stood up. It stood on two legs and wore some peculiar clothing. On its back, two skinny black wings sat. It laughed wickedly.
Zipp asked. “Who are you?”
It answered. “The names Worm. But, you can call me Reaper.”
She responded. “Reaper?”
He nodded before saying. “Cause me and my slave are about to end your pathetic lives!”
Worm then pulled out a device that resembled a phone with a blood-red case on it. I pressed a button on the side, causing its screen to glow brightly. A few seconds later, another creature appeared from it. The creature looked like it was made out of nothing but rocks. Zipp heard a beeping sound from the device around her neck. She lifted it and saw the holographic screen again. This time it had the name and the image of the creature in front of her. It was called Gotsumon. A rookie rock type with a powerful attack called Earthshaker.
She then heard Gigimon yell. “Frothy Spit!”
Gigimon then spat some type of foam at the Digimon. It dodged before it ran up to Gigimon, yelling. “Hardest Punch!” The punch sent the smaller Digimon flying into a tree. The impact was loud, but the pain-filled yelp that came from Gigimon was more audible.
Zipp yelled. “Gigimon!” She then ran up and picked him up. He was breathing heavily, and tears were rolling down his eyes.
Worm commanded. “Finish them, Gotsumon!”
The Gotsumon yelled as it charged at them. Zipp gasped and did her best to cover Gigimon. It was then Gigimon's eyes snapped open, revealing predatory eyes. The device around her neck glowed brightly. Gigimon then broke free from her hold and charged at the enemy Digimon.
Zipp yelled as she tried to grab him. “No, Gigimon!”
Gigimon felt the energy coursing through his body. Soon he started to glow brightly, and in a loud voice, he shouted. “Gigimon digivolve to!” Its body was surrounded by digital code. The code grew to the same height as Zipp. The code then broke apart, revealing a dinosaur-like creature. It had massive claws and a digital hazard symbol on its chest. It then roared out. “Guilmon!”
Worm growled before ordering his Digimon. “Gotsumon, get out of there now!”
Guilmon growled. “You're not getting away!” It then brought its right claw back and yelled. “Rock Breaker!” He struck his opponent hard in the chest. His claw punched three holes through its body. The Gotsumon yelled out as its body turned into data and shattered. The device in Worm's hand broke.
He growled out before pulling out another device. “Stop them!”
From the device, another creature appeared. This time it was a Mikemon. It landed on the ground before growling loudly. Zipp heard her device beep again. She looked at it and saw that the Digimon in front of them was a Champion level.
Zipp questioned. “Champion level? What is this?” Her head snapped up as she heard Guilmon shout in pain.
Mikemon yelled. “Paw punch!” It punched Guilmon hard in the stomach. Sending him skidding backward a little. It wasted little time and was on him again. It yelled. “Neko Claw!”
Guilmon yelled. “Pyro Sphere!” He then shot out a powerful ball of fire from his mouth. The two attacks collided and created a smoke screen.
Zipp cried out. “Gigimon!”
When the smoke cleared, she saw him lying on the ground. She quickly ran up to him and checked him over. He was groaning in pain. A low growl caused her to turn and face the other two. The Mikemon was slowly closing the distance between them. It smiled wickedly as it closed in on its prey.
Worm ordered. “Finish them.”
Mikemon replied. “Gladly.” It then brought back one of its paws as she tried to shield Gigimon with her body.
Another voice suddenly yelled out. “Dino Slash!”
Mikemon dodged at the last possible second just as a giant ax slammed into where it was standing. Zipp looked on in shock as another creature joined the fight. Her surprise was short-lived as something grabbed hold of her. She looked and saw another pony standing beside her. It was a unicorn mare with pink fur and an ocean blue mane and matching tail.
She yelled. “Come on! We gotta get out of here now!”
Zipp nodded and helped Gigimon to his feet. He staggered a little, but she was there to help him. The three started to run away from the battle while Worm glared at them with eyes full of hatred.
Dinohymon spoke. “Time for you both to go.” He smiled before unleashing another attack.
The three had taken cover behind some huge rocks. The unicorn watched the tree line that they had just come from. While Zipp tended to Gigimon, she was worried about him; first, he used to be this cute little ball. Now he looked like something out of a movie she once saw. He had various bruises.
Guilmon saw how worried she looked. He gently licked her cheek, which caused her to jump as she looked at him. He asked her. “Partner, okay?”
Zipp took a moment before she answered. “Yeah,” She nodded before she continued. “I'm alright. But I'm more worried about you. Are you okay, Gigimon?”
Guilmon answered. “Yes. But I'm not Gigimon anymore. My name is Guilmon now.”
Zipp questioned. “Guilmon?”
The unicorn then spoke. “That's what happens when a Digimon Digivolves.” Zipp looked at her as she walked up to them. “They grow stronger, and they also get new names.” She smiled before gently petting Guilmon on his head. She continued. “Don't worry, no matter what, this cutie will always remain lovable.”
Zipp smiled as she saw Guilmon smile happily as his tail began to wag. The unicorn accidentally rubbed one of his bruises, causing him to yelp in pain.
The unicorn quickly apologized. “Oh, you poor thing. I am so sorry.” She then lifted her digivice before saying. “Here, this should help.”
Her digivice then started to glow. Guilmon seemed to perk up a little as his bruises began to heal. When the glowing stopped, Guilmon stood up happily and nuzzled the unicorn. She laughed as she petted and hugged him.
Zipp asked. “How did you do that?”
Guilmon stopped as the unicorn gently pushed him away. She looked at her with a smile and answered. “I used the data repair function on my Digivice.” She lifted hers and pointed to the button on the left. “This button activates a repair feature that can heal your partner.” She then explained. “But, you need to be careful. You can only use it four times a day.”
A voice then called out. “Snow, I'm back!”
The unicorn smiled as she stood up and ran out from behind the rocks. Zipp watched as she ran towards what appeared to be a giant tadpole with a large fin on its back. She heard the unicorn yell. “Betamon!”
Betamon replied happily. “Snow Storm!” It tackled and hugged her as she hugged him back.
Zipp smiled at the two before she turned her attention back to Guilmon. He smiled happily at her. His tail wagged just like her mother's puppy. She walked over to him and hugged him. He hugged her back. Both of them were thankful that the other was alright. After the reunion, the group of four made camp behind the rocks. Night had already approached, but thankfully, they managed to get a fire going. Guilmon and Betamon rested against each other. At the same time, their partners stared into the flames of the fire.
Snow looked at Zipp and spoke. “Hey.” Zipp looked at her, and she smiled. “Big first day, huh?” she watched as Zipp nodded. She chuckled before she finished. “Well, welcome to the digital world.”

Digimon Adventure: Storm Warning
We find our group walking down a trail in the digital forest. Zipp walked next to Guilmon. While Snow Walked with Betamon. Zipp was not sure how she should feel about this. Yesterday, she woke up in a strange new world. Next to a cute creature called Gigimon. Fought something called a Reaper. And met a unicorn that could rival Izzy. Guilmon noticed that his partner was stressed. He placed a gentle claw on her back; he saw her jump before she looked at him. He looked at her with caring eyes.
He asked her. “Are you okay?”
Zipp wanted to say yes. But, as she looked into his eyes. She knew that he would see that she was lying. Instead, she sighed heavily and answered. “Honestly, Guilmon. No, I'm not okay.”
He asked her. “What's wrong?”
She answered. “At the moment, everything.” She then stopped causing him also to stop. She continued. “Yesterday, I woke up next to you. I got into a fight with something I'd never seen before. Meet a unicorn I've never met before. And, now I'm walking with all of you to who knows where.” She paused a moment to gather her thoughts. She was on the verge of yelling—something she had only done whenever she would get in a fight with her sister.
She gasped as she suddenly remembered her family and friends. Were they looking for her? Did they know she was missing? She vaguely remembered doing something at their home in Maretime Bay. But, the memory kept escaping her. She felt her body shake, causing her to look up. Guilmon now stood in front of her. He looked worried.
He said her name. “Zipp.”
She replied. “Yes?”
He then asked her. “Do you need a hug?”
She nodded before she felt his arms wrap around her. She wrapped her hooves around him in return. His touch was gentle and caring. It made her smile as she remembered the hugs she got from her friends and family. When he let her go, she looked at him and smiled. At the same time, he smiled back at her.
Snow spoke. “Digimon are amazing friends, aren't they.” They looked at her; she was smiling at them. So was Betamon. She walked up to Zipp and held out her hoof. She pulled her up while saying. “They always know what to do whenever their partner feels down.” She then looked at Guilmon and gently rubbed his head. She heard him giggle a little, causing her to smile. She looked back at Zipp and said. “Come on. Storm-front isn't too far away.”
Both of them nodded and continued to follow them. As they walked, they saw other Digimon that lived in the forest. Zipp was amazed by how some of them looked and acted. Sunny would probably be having a field day right now. She shook her immediately after that thought. She didn't need to depress herself again. She had to focus on getting home; hopefully, Snow Storm and her partner could help.
Snow hummed a gentle tune as their small group made their way home. Her partner hummed the song with her. Guilmon was confused; what were they doing? He looked at Zipp and gently tapped her shoulder. She looked at him, watching as he motioned towards the other two. She looked and noticed they were humming some random song. She didn't know what the song was. But, by the way, the two were moving. It had to be their favorite. She looked back at her partner, who just wanted to know what they were doing. She smiled at him before humming the song she and her friends sang with Izzy. Guilmon turned his head slightly in confusion. Why was Zipp making those sounds? Zipp laughed before she stopped and faced him.
She then said. “Like this.” She hummed a few words before instructing him. “Now you try. Just keep your mouth closed and hum.”
Guilmon nodded before he let out a loud growl. Snow and Betamon jumped at the sound. Zipp was laughing at their reactions. Guilmon then let out another loud growl. Followed by two small growls.
Zipp stopped him. “No, Guilmon.” She laughed a little before showing him again. “Like this.” She then hummed again.
Guilmon nodded and tried again. This time, he released a soft growl. Although it wasn't humming, it was better than him sounding like a revving engine. She nodded and then hummed again. This time she hummed with a tune. He mimicked her by growling softly with her. Snow and Betamon slowed their pace and walked beside them. Soon the whole group was humming-growling in Guilmon's case.- the same tune.
Snow announced happily. “And here we are.”
She pointed her hoof towards a huge waterfall. Its roaring falls, drowning out most of her voice. Zipp was confused; did the two live here near this waterfall? If she was going to be honest, the location was good for fishing. But, the sound from the falls almost drowned out any other sound. They wouldn't be able to hear anything coming at them. She looked at Snow, who just smiled before motioning for both of them to follow. Both she and her partner then walked right through the falls. Zipp and Guilmon looked at each other with unsure looks. Cautiously they approached the falls. Stopping just in front of the water. Carefully, Zipp stepped through the water. The only different thing was that she didn't feel any water on her. It felt like she was passing through a curtain. She continued to pass through. And on the other side of the waterfall was a massive cave. She stared at it in awe; while Guilmon stepped through.
Snow smiled at them before speaking. “Pretty neat, huh?”
a new voice suddenly rang out. “SNOW!”
The unicorn's face became laced with fear as she turned around. She waved her forehooves in the air while screaming. “NO! NO! NO!”
A large dog then tackled her. Betamon laughed as Labramon gave his partner a tongue bath. Snow laughed as she tried to push her friend off. She whined and barked happily as she continued to lick her.
Labramon spoke. “I MISSED YOU! WEALLMISSEDYOU! BOTHOFYOUWEREGONEFORSOLONG!” She said quickly and loudly before she looked at Betamon. She yelled, “BETAMON!”
Betamon yelled out as she suddenly tackled him. He was laughing as a series of happy licks assaulted his face. Labramon couldn't help herself. She always worried about her friends whenever they went out. After all, the Reapers were after them. And, there were more virus-type Digimon than usual.
When she saw the other two, she gasped before shouting. “New friends!” She jumped off Betamon and ran towards them. Stopping in front of them, her tail wagging. She spoke. “Hi, nice to meet you! I'm Labramon! I know we just met, but I love you both! Wanna be friends!” She stared at them happily.
Before the two could say anything, a voice called from inside the cave. “Labramon!” The voice belonged to a mare earth pony. Her fur was blue, and her mane and tail were white. She ran right up to Labramon. Who just smiled at her. The mare scolded her.“What have I told you about doing that!”
Labramon laughed before she replied. “To never run off it could be dangerous.” She looked back at the others and said. “But, they're not dangerous. They are friends.”
The mare looked up at the two. She sighed in defeat, knowing she couldn't stay mad at her partner. She smiled at the two and spoke. “Hey, sorry for hyper greeting. Labramon loves making friends.” She giggled before introducing herself. “My name is Ice Storm. What's your name?”
Zipp smiled as she introduced herself. “Nice to meet you, Ice Storm. My name is Zipp Storm.”
Guilmon introduced himself. “Hi, my name is Guilmon.”
Labramon commented. “I like them.”
Ice deadpanned before saying. “You like everyone, Labramon.”
She looked at her and confirmed. “I know.” She then pounced on her partner. “But, I love you!” She then started to lick Ice. While she tried to push her off.
Ice yelled. “Ah! Labramon, stop! That tickles!” She started to laugh uncontrollably as her partner continued her assault.
The group shared a laugh, and after a little while, Snow led them further into the cave. The group soon reached a large hollow. Inside it was a series of computers and all types of gear. Zipp and Guilmon were impressed. At one of the computers, a mare pegasus sat. Standing beside her was a creature that looked like a jellyfish out of water.
Snow looked at her and yelled. “Hey, Dust Storm! We're back!”
The jellyfish Digimon smiled before it flew over to where they were. It hugged both her and Betamon. It nuzzled both of them; while also purring loudly. Both she and Betamon returned the hug.
Snow said happily. “Nice to see you again, Keramon.”
Keramon smiled before looking at the other two. He grew curious and walked closer to them. He looked at Guilmon, turning his head in curiosity. Guilmon mimicked his action. Keramon then smiled happily before nuzzling him. Guilmon smiled back and hugged him back. It then looked over at Zipp and floated in front of her.
A nervous smile stretched across her face before she greeted him. “Uh, hi.”
Dust then spoke. “Forgive, Keramon! He's more action than talk.” She looked up from the computer and said. “Keramon, get back here.”
Keramon squeaked happily before flying back over to her. She smiled before rubbing his head. He purred happily before floating up and landing on her back. His many tendrils wrapped around her as he snuggled into his favorite spot on her back. She shook her head while sighing,
She commented. “You are too cute sometimes.” She heard him purr before he fell into a peaceful sleep.
Snow called to Dust. “Dust, get over here! We got another Digidestined!”
Dust nodded and walked over to where they were. She smiled at the two before introducing herself. “Hey, nice to meet you two. I'm Dust Storm.”
Zipp replied. “Hey, I'm Zipp Storm.”
Dust chuckled. “Got another Storm.” She shook her head before continuing. “Well, Welcome to Storm-front.”
Zipp was about to ask, but Ice beat her to it. “We call it that cause it used to be the three of us leading this good fight.”
Zipp asked her. “Against the Reapers, right?”
She nodded before asking. “Ran into Worm, didn't you?” She watched her nod before she added. “Don't worry. We've already got him on his heels. But, I will apologize for leading him to you.”
Zipp replied. “Wait, what?!”
Snow explained. “We tracked your entry into the Digital World a few days ago. At the time, we didn't know Worm had a Digimon spying on us. He tried to get to you. But, thankfully, I was able to beat him to you.” She smiled.
Ice then walked up to Zipp and spoke. “Zipp, I know this is a lot to ask right now. But, we could use your help. “She looked at Guilmon and added, “Yours too, Guilmon.”
Zipp asked. “Why us?”
The three answered by holding up their Digivices. Zipp held hers up too. It was then all four of them started glowing brightly. Shocking the group as the light shot towards the roof of the cave. The light began to form into words that floated in the air above them.
Dust read them. “Northwest. Near the burning river and the mountains that have reawakened.” She perked up before she ran back to the computer.
Ice commented. “Great, here we go again.”
Both her and Snow made their way over to Dust. Their Digimon followed close behind them. Zipp looked at Guilmon, who looked back at her. She shrugged before they followed them. Dust had a map of the Digital World pulled up. She quickly typed in some coordinates and soon had another region pulled up. It was a barren wasteland filled with countless volcanoes and rivers of lava.
Snow asked her. “Are you sure, Lava Village?”
Dust nodded before answering. “Positive. That area came back online last week. No, doubt that's where the next power siphon is. And if we destroy it.”
Ice finished. “Worm's done for, and Nature Level will finally be free.”
Dust added. “Yes!”
She then sent the info to their Digivices. Both Snow and Ice nodded before they headed for the entrance of the cave. Zipp watched as they left. She looked at Dust, who turned and looked at her. She then returned to the computer and sent the information to her Digivice. Zipp looked at it and then to Guilmon. He looked back at her, possibly wondering what they were about to do.
He then asked her. “What do you wanna do, Zipp?”
She remained silent as various thoughts ran through her mind. She wanted to go home. But, at the same time, after seeing all those Digimon on the way here. And remembering how Worms Digimon looked. She turned towards the tunnel and ran for the entrance. Guilmon followed close behind her.
Dust nodded before saying. “Good luck to you all.” She then turned back towards the computer.
Digimon Adventure: Storm Warning
Chapter 3 Long Black Trailmon
In the grasslands of Nature Level, a Trailmon sped through. Its whistle was howling loudly through the night, like a beautiful tune being played by a virtuoso. As it chugged down the line, a single Digimon stepped onto the tracks. It was a Gabumon. It faced the oncoming Trailmon without hesitation. Its eyes were covered in a red haze. A joyous smile stretched across its face as it lifted its arms towards the Trailmon's light.
It spoke. “Please, let me ride.” The Trailmon was getting close to him. It was not slowing down. He continued. “Please, oh, please let me hear your song.” The Trailmon whistled loudly; its whistle, oh, the beautiful whistle. He fell to his knees, arms stretched and opened wide. He yelled out. “PLEASE! TAKE!”
The whistle drowned out his last words as the Trailmon collided with him. His data vanished instantly into its unforgiving steel body. It continued to chug down its line, not even worrying about the other Digimon it would soon absorb. After all, one must be careful to avoid hearing its killer melody. For when Black Trailmon was near, Digimon would disappear. The whistle echoed loudly across the plains. It sounded almost like a ghost howling out forever, refusing to rest.
Labramon barked happily as she raced with her partner down the trail. The group had just arrived at the mountain region of the level. Ice laughed as she looked back at her partner. Seeing this, Labramon picked up her pace, trying her best to outrun her. The others smiled at the sight of a Digimon and their partner bonding. They were walking just behind them as they sped down the trail.
Snow giggled before saying. “Gonna burn themselves out before they get there.” She then called out to them. “Hey! Pace yourselves! It's going to take all of us just to knock that thing down!” She watched as the two continued to run. She sighed while shaking her head.
Zipp giggled a little at the two. They could give Izzy a run for her bits in the energy department. She still couldn't believe she was here, even after traveling for two days with them. She was still finding it hard to believe that this was happening. She looked at Guilmon, who walked close beside her. He noticed and smiled at her, and she smiled back at him. For the last two days, their group had been heading to Lava Village. There was something there called a Data Siphon. A tool used by the Reapers to steal the Level's digital code. Snow got her up to speed last night about their mission. Four Levels make up the Digital World. Nature is currently under the control of Worm. Utopian, a big city world under the power of the Reaper known as Selfie. Level Three was under the control of Riot. And the last Level was where the leader of the Reapers stayed... Queen Eternal Eclipse.
Snow called out. “ZIPP!”
Zipp yelled as she jumped back. She had been so deep in thought she didn't notice that Snow had stopped walking. Snow laughed a little while she smiled sheepishly.
Zipp replied. “What is it, Snow?”
Snow answered. “I just got a message from Dust. She needs us to head to the Grassland of the Nature level.”
Zipp asked. “Why?”
She answered while loading the mission document on her Digivice. “There have been numerous reports of Digimon disappearing in that area. The area is also locked in a constant night setting. She suspects that Worm may be setting up a new siphon. If that's the case, we'll have to put Lava Village on the back burner for now. And, deal with this before he can get it set up.” She then pressed a button on her Digivice before saying. “Step back.”
Zipp nodded and took a step back. A bright flash of data then appeared before them. From it, Ice and Labramon fell. They landed on the ground in a heap. Both of them laughed a little before they stood up. Ice dusted herself off while her partner shook herself clean.
Ice asked. “What happened? Did we get too far ahead for you slowpokes?” She giggled a little.
Snow answered. “No, we got a new mission. We're going to the Grassland area.” She knew what the two were about to do and quickly instructed. “We're all going to pace ourselves until we get there. Because if Worm is doing this, we will be in for a serious fight. So no racing understood.” The two nodded and started walking down the trail again
Zipp walked up and asked. “They're gonna start running as soon as you say 'yes' to this question, aren't they?”
Snow answered with a deadpanned look. “Unfortunately, yes.”
On cue, the two raced each other down the trail. Snow brought her hoof to her forehead; while Zipp tried to keep herself from laughing at their antics. Guilmon wondered why the two were running. Were they under attack? He looked around but didn't see or smell anything dangerous. So why were they running? We're they playing a game? His tail wagged as he started to run after them.
Zipp called out. “Guilmon, get back here!” She ran after him.
Snow and Betamon watched as the other two chased after them. They stood calmly on the trail before they looked at each other. They then shrugged their shoulders before chasing after their team. If they were all tired by the time they got there. Ice and Labramon were to blame for it.
Both Ice and Labramon panted heavily as they lay on the soft grass. Their group had arrived at the Grasslands in good time. But, all of them were worn out because they raced each other all the way there. Zipp and Snow were setting up camp while their Digimon rested. Zipp was surprised when Snow showed her how much their Digivices stored. After a little while, the two had gotten not only the tent pitched. But, they had also got a nice campfire going. They sat around the fire, enjoying its comforting warmth.
Snow looked at Zipp and said. “Hey, Zipp.”
Zipp looked at her and replied. “Yeah.”
Snow said. “Thanks for coming out with us.” She paused a moment before continuing. “For a while, it was just me, Ice, and our partners fighting back against the Reapers. Now with you and Guilmon here. It looks like we've finally got a fighting chance.”
Zipp smiled before replying. “No, problem.” She then asked. “Snow?”
Snow replied. “Hmm?”
Zipp asked her. “How long have you all been fighting these Reapers?”
She answered her question with a question. “You wanna know when you can go home, huh?”
Zipp nodded; she felt Snow would see right through the question. She watched as Snow rubbed the back of her head. That meant she would not like the answer she was going to get.
Snow answered. “For Dust and Ice, a little over five months.” She sighed heavily before continuing. “For me, I had been fighting the Reapers by myself for ten years.” She waited for Zipp to gasp or deny their new reality. What shocked her was when she heard her sigh.
Zipp then commented. “I thought you were going to say about a year or two. But, ten.” She looked up at the night sky before asking. “Is there a way out?”
Snow thought a little bit before she answered. “Yes, but.”
Zipp interrupted her. “We need to beat all of the Reapers. Am I correct?”
Snow nodded before she commented. “You're taking this a lot better than I had thought.”
Both of them then heard Ice call out. “Labramon!?” They looked and saw her searching for her partner. “Labramon! Labramon where are you?!”
Both of them got up and walked over to her. When she noticed them, she said. “It's Labramon. Labramon's gone! She's gone!”
Snow told her. “Calm down, Ice! Getting worked up like this isn't going to help find her.” She watched as Ice nodded before she looked at Zipp. “Zipp, go wake Guilmon and Betamon, please.”
Zipp nodded and walked over to the two Digimon. She smiled at the cute sight of the two cuddled together. She hated having to wake them up. But they needed their help. She gently shook them awake.
Guilmon groaned as he opened his eyes; he asked. “Zipp?” He yawned. “Zipp, is that you?” He watched her nod before he asked. “Is everything okay?”
Zipp shook her head before answering. “No, that's why I had to wake you up. Labramon is missing.”
Guilmon stood up and shook himself before following Zipp over to where Labramon used to be. He started to sniff the area hoping to pick up her scent. It did not take him long to find it. He then began to follow the scent. The others followed close behind him as he followed the smell. The group didn't know how far they had traveled. All that mattered was finding their friend. They found her sitting on some rail.
Ice smiled as she ran up to her partner. “Labramon!” When she was close enough, she hugged her—sniffing a little as she buried her face into her partner's fur. She asked her. “Labramon, what are you doing? You had me worried sick.”
Labramon spoke. “It sounds so beautiful.”
Ice asked. “Huh?” She looked and almost gasped in horror. Labramon's eyes' were glazed over with a strange film.
Zipp suddenly shouted. “Watch out!”
The two were then tackled off of the tracks by her and Guilmon. Just as a Black Trailmon sped by them. Its whistle howled loudly as it rushed along the line. The group watched as it chugged along. It didn't even seem to notice that it had almost hit them. After the last car had passed, Snow and Betamon joined them on the other side.
Betamon asked. “Are you all okay?”
Zipp, Guilmon, and Ice nodded before Labramon suddenly asked. “Are we all playing a game?”
They looked and saw Labramon with a confused look on her face. Ice smiled before she hugged her partner. Labramon smiled before she said. “Oh, the hugging game! I love this game!” She then hugged her partner back before asking. “Why are we playing the game here and not back at camp?”
Betamon answered. “That's because we're not playing a game.” She looked at him before he continued. “You and Ice nearly got ran over by a Trailmon.”
Labramon replied. “Betamon, don't lie. It's not good to lie to friends.”
Betamon growled before asking. “Why would I lie?”
Snow spoke. “The better question is, what is a Trailmon doing in the Nature Level?” The group looked at her as she scanned the rails with her Digivice. She looked at Labramon and asked. “Labramon, do you remember anything before we started playing the hugging game?”
Labramon thought for a moment. Suddenly, Betamon screamed in terror as he backed away from the rails. Snow yelled. “Betamon!” She got next to him.
He screamed. “Digimon!”
The group looked around, each of them taking a defensive stance. But there was nothing there. All around them was nothing but empty grassland. Snow looked at him as she tried to calm him down. She spoke calmly. “Where, Betamon? We don't see them.”
He lifted one of his trembling paws and pointed towards the rails. She looked at them before bringing her Digivice up. She switched to the screen that allowed her to see what her partner was seeing. She gasped in horror at what she saw. The rail was made of Digimon code. And the code was still active.
A calm voice then spoke. “Fear the call of the Black Trailmon.” They looked in the direction of where the voice had come from. Standing just a few feet away was someone dressed in a hooded robe. The figure continued speaking. “For if it claims you; forever your code, it will ride on.” The figure then faded away.
Before any of them could ask, the ghostly face of an Agumon appeared out of the rail. It was followed by a Renamon, a Poyomon, and Ranamon, and one after another, Digimon heads appeared from inside the rails. Each of them cried out and begged for help. The group backed away in fear before they ran away from the rails. They could hear the ghostly screams echoing across the land. Cries for help ringing in their ears like a horrible symphony. They ran back to camp. All of them piling and hiding in the tent. The screams and pleas grew louder. They covered their ears as the sound got louder. Then in an instant, everything was silent.
Zipp asked. “What was that?”
Ice woke with a start as she sat up inside the tent. She didn't remember falling asleep. Did she fall asleep, or did she pass out? She then remembered all the screams that she had heard. She felt an icy chill go down her back, causing her to shiver.
Labramon asked. “Are you cold, Ice?”
Ice turned and looked at her partner. Usually, Labramon was full of energy and would have already burst out of this tent. But, the look her partner had on her face told a different story. Labramon was scared. Ice shook her head before motioning for Labramon to come closer to her. Slowly, her partner walked up to her. When she was close enough, Ice gently wrapped her in a protective hug. Labramon whined a little as her partner held her.
Labramon whined out. “All those Digimon.”
Ice shushed her while whispering. “I know. I know.”
The front of the tent opened, allowing Zipp to poke her head in. She looked at the two and said. “Good, you're both up. Both f you need to see this.”
They nodded as Zipp walked away from the tent. Ice and Labramon followed her; when they stepped out, they gasped in shock. They were inside a train car. It was filled with Digimon, who sat like lifeless statues. Snow and Betamon were examining them. At the same time, Zipp and Guilmon tried to open the door. How did they end up here?
Ice asked. “Snow, where are we?”
Snow answered. “We're inside the Black Trailmon.”
Ice's went wide as she asked. “What?! How?!”
Snow answered. “I guess that when we passed out due to a combination of exhaustion and fear. It relocated its rail and attacked us.” She then lifted her Digivice and explained. “Thankfully, our Digivices' activated, keeping us from becoming a part of its rail line.”
Ice shuddered at the thought just as Zipp and Guilmon managed to open the door. The group started to make its way to the engine. They walked through cab after cab. Each one was filled to the brim with Digimon. The Black Trailmon was probably downloading the data from their physical bodies and, at the same time, trapping the consciousness into the rail line. They felt sorry for the poor Digimon. They eventually came to a cab junction with an opening at the top—leading up to the roof(back) of the Trailmon.
Snow nodded before saying. “Betamon and I will go up and take a look.” She then instructed. “All of you. Stay here until we say it's all clear.”
She watched as each of them nodded before she motioned for Betamon to climb on her back. She then started to climb up the ladder. As she reached the top, the wind whipped wildly past her head. Her mane was blown out like a curtain in the wind. Betamon jumped onto the roof before turning and helping her up. Once she got herself steady, she looked in front and behind them. Noticing that it was clear, she turned to let the others know to climb up. But they were gone.
A voice spoke against the howling wind. “On these wicked rails, we speed.”
Snow turned towards where the voice had come from. In front of them now stood the cloaked figure from last night. Whoever they were, they didn't seem bothered by the wind. Both Snow and Betamon prepared for a fight.
Zipp and Guilmon stood back to back as they tried to figure out how they ended up in the train's caboose. Guilmon growled at the door, causing Zipp to face it with him. The door opened, revealing the cloaked figure from last night. The figure slowly walked into the cab as Guilmon growled at them.
The figure spoke. “Calling all Digimon whose code that we need.”
Guilmon shouted. “Pyro Sphere!” He launched a massive fireball at the figure. Only to have the figure catch it and redirect it back at him. Knocking him back.
Zipp called out. “Guilmon!” She tried to run to him, but the figure blocked her and kicked her into the open cab. She yelled out in pain as she slammed and skidded across the floor. When she stopped, she tried to get to her hooves quickly. Only to have the figure suddenly appear before her. She gasped as she was suddenly grabbed and slammed into a window.
Ice was inside what appeared to be the Trailmon's reefer. She shivered a little as the cold air worked its way around her body. She looked around, the dim overhead lights barely illuminating the cab. She was alone, and Labramon was nowhere in sight.
She called out for her. “Labramon.”
She heard no response; her body shivered as the air seemed colder. Where was her partner? She gasped as she heard the sound of hoofsteps behind her. Turning around, she saw a large earth stallion walking toward her. She gasped as she backed away in fear.
She stuttered. “D-D-Dad!?”
She was then slapped across the face by him. She screamed out in pain as she backed away from him. She bumped into something, causing her to turn around quickly. In front of her stood a mare with a hateful look on her face.
Ice yelled out. “Mom!”
The mare screamed. “You have no right calling me that!” The mare then pushed her to the ground.
Ice gasped as she landed on a hardwood floor. She looked at the two who stood over her like terrifying giants. She looked at herself; she was now a foal cowering against the wall of her home. Her body was covered in various bruises and cuts as her parents walked toward her.
Her mother sneered. “You pitiful runt! Look at yourself! Still wetting yourself like the stupid foal you are!”
Ice put her forehooves in front of her as a shield. It was a pitiful attempt to shield herself from their attack. She gasped as her father's hoof suddenly wrapped tightly around her neck. It wasn't tight enough to choke her. But, it was still hard for her to breathe.
Her father spoke coldly. “Why are you so weak?” He then threw her down hard. His body smacked into the floor hard. A sickening crack echoed through the house. Her father walked up to her. “You're not worthy of the name you were given.”
Labramon shouted. “Retriever Bark!” She smashed open another door as she raced through the cabs.
She was separated from her partner, and she had to find her fast. The only problem was that her scent was somehow everywhere. It had to be the Trailmon. Somehow it was using Digital code to mimic her partners' scent. It made her growl before multiple Digimon husks blocked her.
It was then she heard her partner's voice scream. “LABRAMON!”
Labramon growled before she yelled. “All of you, get out of my way!” She then sprinted forward. “Cause Labramon is coming through!” She knocked all the husks down as she steamrolled through the carts.
She used her attack to smash open the doors in her way. All that mattered was getting to Ice. Her partner was in trouble, and she needed her now. She focused on her partner. Anything that stood in her way was knocked over or destroyed by her. Nothing, not a thing, not even a Digimon, was going to stop her. She eventually reached a large steel door. Her partner was behind it, and she needed to get through it. She then heard her partner scream in pain.
She shouted. “ICE!” She used her attack and smashed open the door. She jumped inside and saw her partner crouching on the floor. Above her stood a figure which seemed surprised to see her. She shouted. “Retriever Bark!” The attack caused the creature to disappear. Allowing her to walk up and lick her partner.
Ice gasped as she looked up with tear-filled eyes. She saw her partner and said. “Labramon?”
Labramon replied. “It's okay, Ice. I'm here.” She then started to nuzzle her.
Ice sobbed as she pulled Labramon into a needed hug. Labramon didn't say anything. All she did was let her friend cry. Her partner needed this. She growled as she swore to make whoever or whatever that was pay. She suddenly heard Ice say. “I...I'm so sorry, Labramon.” She looked at her.
Ice slowly lifted her tear-stained face. She saw the curious look of her partner. She sobbed before saying. “You don't deserve a pathetic partner like me.”
Before Labramon could say anything, the figure reappeared and spoke. “For once, you are right.”
The two turned and looked at the figure as it stepped into the light. Labramon growled loudly before it continued. “The only reason you're here is because your world didn't want you. Your parents didn't want you. And, now even this world dose does not want you.” It listed off everything that Ice fear was true.
Ice sobbed heavily as memories that she tried to forget came back to her. Memories of all the hurtful things that were said to her. The painful thing that struck her. She felt small, like the stupid and useless foal she was.
The figure spoke. “You don't deserve to be a Digi-Destined.”
Labramon howled. “That's enough!” Ice gasped as the figure backed away from them. She continued. “She wasn't sent her because her world didn't want her. She's here because this world needs her.” Labramon glared at the figure. “She's here because I chose her as my partner, and she chose me!” She growled as she stepped closer to the figure. “You say her parents didn't deserve her. No, she didn't deserve them as parents. Like how mine didn't deserve me.” Ice remembered what Labramon had told her. Labramon took another step closer; her growl was becoming louder. She finished. “And, if this world didn't want her. You wouldn't be facing this.”
Ice's Digivice glowed brightly as Labramon was surrounded by digital code. Labramon's voice echoed. “Labramon! Digivolve to!”. Her body became slimmer, her tail shrunk to almost a stub, her paws became bigger, and her claws became sharper. Around her neck, a sizeable spiked collar grew. Her ears became thinner, and her typically white coat turned dark and lean. When the digital code disappeared, Labramon stood in her champion form. She shouted. “Dobermon!”
Dobermon growled loudly at the hooded figure before she shouted. “Black Beam!”
A massive beam attack struck the figure, destroying its body the moment the beam touched it. She then sniffed the air before a wicked smile stretched across her face. She howled. “Gray Noise!”
The howl echoed throughout the train. The train began to shift and fade in and out of reality. Ice stared at her partner as she continued to howl. She then felt herself being pulled away; she screamed as she was pulled into a black void. Her hooves reach out for her partner.
Ice, along with Zipp, Snow, and their partners, sat up in surprise. They were back at camp. Each of them panted heavily as they tried to get their senses back. Ice looked around, trying to find Dobermon.
She asked. “Where's?”
She was interrupted by a loud growl coming from her right. The group got to their feet quickly and looked. There was Dobermon and the Black Trailmon. She growled again at the Digimon that was stopped at their camp. The Trailmon whistled loudly just as long spider legs shot out from its sides. Each one sticking into the ground like a sharp spear.
Snow said. “I should've known! Worm sent a Digi-fuse here!”
Zipp asked. “A what?!”
Snow explained. “The Reapers can fuse Digimon into a new Digimon. We call them a Digi-fuse.” She then lifted her Digivice and switched to another screen. This time she saw the Digimon who were fused into it. It was a Trailmon and an Arukenimon.
Dobermon called out to her partner. “Ice!”
Ice nodded before saying. “Leave this one to us.” She then lifted her Digivice and tapped the button in the middle. She yelled. “Data Cards!” A screen appeared in front of her; on it was a large number of cards. She selected one that had the image of two swords on it. She shouted. “Data Upload!” The card appeared to load into the Digivice as she aimed it at her partner. She finished. “Lobomon's light swords activate!”
A beam shot out from the Digivice and into Dobermon. The spikes on the side of her collar transformed into two light swords. Dobermon growled at the Digi-fuse in front of her. Before she charged at it. The front of the train opened, revealing razor-sharp teeth. From the mouth, large webs shot out and flew rapidly at her. Dobermon deflected each one before using the train's spade to jump above into the air.
Dobermon shouted. “Dobo-Kendo!”
In a bright flash, Dobermon landed just behind the Digi-fuse. Everything was silent as her light swords vanished from her collar. It was then that countless cuts and slashes appeared along its body. It screamed in pain as it started to fade away into data. Along with it, all of the digital code that was trapped in the rail was also released. Numerous voices thanked them as they flew back into the digital world. In front of Dobermon, the code of the Trailmon and Arukenimon appeared. She stared at them as they bowed their heads in thanks before flying off. The night finally began to turn to day in the zone. The Black Trailmon was gone.
Ice walked up to her partner as she De-Digivolved back into Labramon. Labramon turned and looked at her. She was smiling happily as her tail wagged. Ice began to laugh as she ran up to her. Labramon barked happily as she tackled Ice and began to lick her happily.
Snow commented. “Those two will never change.” She smiled happily before turning back towards the tent. Her partner following her.
Ice noticed and asked. “Where are you going, Snow?”
Snow answered. “Back to sleep.”
The others looked at one another just as fatigue had finally set in. The only thing that kept them going through that battle was a mixture of fear, courage, and adrenaline. Now that the battle was over and they hadn't gotten a proper rest since they got there. Their bodies were forcing all of them to rest. Zipp and her partner followed them into the tent. At the same time, Ice and Labramon brought up the rear. Once they were in the tent, all six almost immediately fell asleep. Before Ice fell asleep, she felt her partner snuggling close to her. A gentle lick of her forehead followed it. She smiled and hugged Labramon.
Digimon Adventure: Storm Warning
Chapter 4 Snakehydramon Terror
A Gomamon and a Penguinmon ran as fast as they could through the Wetlands. Three Coelamon were chasing them. They screamed as they dodged attack after attack. They came to a stop at the edge of a large cliff. Both of them gasped as they turned around to face their attackers. The Coelamon laughed wickedly before all three of them attacked together.
They shouted. “Fossil Bite!”
They struck the ground in front of them, causing a large crack. Both Gomamon and Penguinmon held onto each other as the ground shifted. Just before it broke off from the cliff and fell, they screamed as they fell to the earth below. The Coelamon laughed before turning to head back home. One of them kicked some mud over the side. It was time to report back to their boss.
We find out group waiting in a small field just off from the main trail. Dust had contacted them not too long ago. A friend of theirs from the real world was sending them something. Zipp didn't know how to feel about this. She was still raw about how she got here in the first place. It felt like one day, everything was normal. Then, the next, she was battling evil train spider monsters with Guilmon. All it did was give her a headache.
The clouds began to circle above them; Ice noticed this and shouted happily. “Here it comes!”
A large beam of light fell from the sky. The group backed away, allowing it to land on the ground in front of them. The light shined brightly for a few seconds before disappearing. On the ground in front of them was a small box. Zipp stood still as the others walked up to the box. She could hear them talking excitedly. She gasped as a brief image of her friends back home flashed in front of her. She could hear them laughing; while her sister called her over.
Snow said. “Zipp.”
Zipp yelled in surprise, causing Snow to laugh. She glared at her for a moment; before she also started laughing. She then responded. “What's up, Snow?”
Snow levitated a card in front of her. “This.” She then instructed her. “Hold up your Digivice.”
Zipp did as she was told; her Digivice beeped loudly before the card turned into bits of data. The data was then absorbed into the Digivice. Shortly after, a small screen appeared above it; it showed the card. Zipp was curious about this.
Snow explained. “This is the card slot of your Digivice. Our friend, MOD, sends us these cards to help our Digimon in battle.”
Zipp asked. “MOD?”
Snow replied. “I'll explain him in a moment.” She explained further about the cards. “These cards are used to modify our Digimon. Think of them as either armor, power, or weapon boosters.” She lifted her Digivice and showed her cards. She had about thirty cards in her Digivice. She pressed the left button allowing her to select five cards. She then said. “Here, take these.” The five cards were then transferred into Zipp's Digivice.
Zipp smiled and thanked her. “Thanks, Snow.”
Snow replied. “You're welcome.”
Then Snows Digivice rang out; she answered it and saw Dust. She greeted her. “Hey, Dust. No worries, the cards.”
Dust interrupted her. “Not calling about the cards.” She apologized before explaining. “Sorry, guys. We've got more Digimon that need our help.”
Snow nodded before asking. “Where are we going now?”
Dust answered. “You need to head to the Wetlands. There's a huge power spike coming from there. Bad news, it's not a Reaper. Good news, it's not a Reaper.” That earned a small chuckle from Snow.
Snow replied. “We'll get on the way there right now. Till next time Dust.”
Dust nodded before the call ended. Zipp had heard everything and was already ready to go. Snow turned towards the others and said. “Alright, you all, we got another detour.”
Ice asked. “Where are we going now?”
Snow answered. “We're going to the Wetlands.”
They nodded, and soon, the group started down the path again. This time heading to help Digimon in the Wetlands of the Nature Level. Walking down the trail, they noticed two Digimon walking toward them. One of them was a Gomamon who was carrying a Penguinmon. Both of them looked to be in a bad way. The group quickly came to their aid. At first, the Gomamon was ready to launch an attack.
But Snow stopped him by saying in a caring voice. “Easy there. We're here to help.” She raised her Digivice in front of them and tapped the middle button. She activated a card allowing her to heal them.
Penguinmon groaned as he slowly stood back up. His friend stayed close by him as he got steady. As he got stable, he asked. “Uh...Gomamon, what happened?”
Gomamon answered. “You were knocked out.” She motioned to them. “But, they helped us.”
Penguinmon looked at Snow and thanked her. “Thank you.”
Snow nodded before asking. “May I ask you both something?” They nodded, and she continued. “By chance. Did both of you come from the Wetlands?”
Both of them were shocked by the question; how did she know where they had come from? Gomamon answered. “Yes, we just came from there.” She asked. “How did you know that?”
Snow explained. “We're on our way there.” She then asked. “What happened?”
Both of them explained that their home had fallen under the control of Snakehydramon. A champion-level Digimon with a lot of Coelamon under his control. He had shown up out of nowhere and just took over the whole zone. When asked if he had help from Worm, they were grateful to hear he hadn't.
Before the group could move on, Penguinmon spoke. “Hold on!” They looked at him as he showed them a glowing sphere. “This is a Home Sphere. It can teleport you right to our home in the Wetlands. Trust me. It's better than walking the whole way there.”
They nodded before thanking him; when the group was ready, Snow activated the Sphere. An intensely bright light surrounded the group. Then, a short time later, both the group and the light vanished.
Gomamon asked. “Do you think they will be okay?”
Penguinmon answered. “I hope so.”
The group was teleported into a darkened home. It was quiet, so quiet that one could hear the buzzing of a fly's wings. Snow motioned for the others to stay quiet; they nodded before spreading out and searching the house. They had to make sure that they were here alone. After all, if they were caught this early, they wouldn't be good heroes.
Ice was in the front of the home; she was searching what appeared to be the living room. So far, she and Labramon didn't find anything. It was then something caught her eye outside the window. She motioned for Labramon to hide while she checked it out. She hid close to the side and peeked out the window. She gasped when she saw what was outside. It was an injured Coelamon. It was covered in a lot of scars and bruises. She groaned a little as she found herself in a dilemma. They were here to run these Digimon out. But, this one was hurt and needed help, and as a Digi-Destined, she had to help Digimon in need. She shook her head and looked at her partner. She motioned for her to stay hidden while she helped the Coelamon.
Labramon watched as her partner exited the home and stepped outside. She hoped her partner would come back inside soon. When she heard her partner's scream, she jumped up and quickly bolted out the door. Only to have a net thrown on top of her.
The others heard Labramon yelp, causing them to run to the front of the house. Just as they got there, a massive explosion erupted from outside. The group screamed as they were caught up in the debris field. The house started to cave in, and soon, they were buried underneath the rubble. The Coelamon laughed wickedly before dragging their prisoners back to their master. The debris began to shift, and soon, Dinohyumon stood up from the wreckage.
He asked. “Are all of you okay?”
The others groaned a little as they stood up, each of them shaking their heads as they regained their senses. Snow answered. “Yeah, thanks, Dinohyumon.”
He nodded before de-digivolving back into Betamon. Zipp said. “Okay, I will be kicking some serious butt when I get my hands on them.” Guilmon growled in agreement.
Snow stared down at her Digivice; she had a map open and saw a group of red dots moving away from them. There was also a large number of dots surrounding them in the area. She shook her head before putting it away. She got the attention of the others before saying. “Okay, we are surrounded. But, the eastern part of this village seems to have the least guards. So that's where we're going.” She walked out of the rubble and started for the area. She called to the others. “Come on.”
Guilmon asked. “But, what about Ice and Labramon?”
She answered. “We can't help them if we get caught. Now come on, we gotta move.” The group started for the area that was safer for the moment.
A group of Coelamon patrolled the area; they grunted as they walked their routes. Snow slowly poked her head out from the brush she and the others were hiding in. When the coast was clear, she stood up and ran to the base of a nearby tree. When she hid beside the tree, she motioned for the others to come over. The others joined her at the tree. They looked around, making sure to check and see if they were still clear. She motioned for them to follow her again before disappearing into the tree. Zipp was shocked at first, but her partner pulled her in. The whole group was hiding inside the tree.
Guilmon spoke. “Hiding tree.”
Zipp asked. “Huh?”
Snow answered. “It's the name of the thing we're in.” She looked at her Digivice, trying to find their friends.
There were two patrol groups in the area they were in. In the southern and western parts, there were five patrol groups. But, in the northern part of the village, there were eight patrols. She guessed that's where Ice and Labramon were being held. It was also a good guess to assume that Snakehydramon was there too. She turned towards the others and motioned for them to gather around.
She explained. “Okay, we've got two groups of Coelamon patrolling this area. We could try to take them out, but I bet their boss has them reporting in every hour. So taking out any of the patrols is out of the question.”
Zipp asked. “So, what do we do?”
Betamon answered. “We either stay hidden until they find us or find a way to get to our friends.”
Guilmon asked. “Is there any way we can get to them without being spotted?”
Snow shook her head before answering. “Not unless two of us decide to be decoys.” She sighed before continuing. “And, even with two of us doing that, there's a probability it won't work.”
Zipp suggested. “How about we give ourselves up?” The group looked at her; she quickly explained. “Hold on! Hear me out! If we give ourselves up willingly, we can probably catch them off guard with a surprise attack.” A sudden thought entered her mind before she lifted her Digivice and tapped the center button. She then scrolled to the screen with the cards before asking. “These cards. Can they be set to go off?”
Snow smiled before answering. “Yes, they can.” She scrolled to the card screen on her Digivice. Before saying. “Just give me a few seconds to set mine. And, then I'll show you how to do it.”
Zipp nodded before turning to Guilmon and explaining the plan to him. After a few minutes of preparation, the group exited the tree and waited for a patrol. Thankfully, they did not have to wait long. The patrol came right on the dot and captured them. The Coelamon laughed wickedly as they brought their prisoners to their boss.
Labramon growled as she threw herself at the bars again. Yelping as her body collided with the unforgiving steel. Ice threw herself on top of her before begging again. “Labramon, stop! You're going to hurt yourself!” She could hear her partner whining.
Labramon replied. “We need to get out of here.”
Ice replied. “I know. Don't worry. Our friends will get us out of here.” She tried her best to sound reassuring. But, she had her doubts.
The Coelamon guarding them chuckled at what little hope they had. Ice glared at them as they laughed. Her glare turned to shock as she saw a group of Coelamon walking towards them. They had the others with them. This wasn't good. Now that they had the others, there was nothing they could do. Earlier, one of the Coelamon said they would get their boss. That wasn't long ago, meaning Snakehydramon could be heading their way now.
Snow and Zipp suddenly shouted. “Data upload!”
Ice gasped as the Coelamon surrounding the two was suddenly blown away. She then remembered that she could have done the same thing. She growled in anger at herself. How could she have forgotten that?! She quickly switched to her card pool and selected a card.
She yelled. “Data upload!”
Snow and Zipp had to duck as multiple iron bars flew over their heads. The two looked and smiled before focusing back on the fight. There were more Coelamon on the way. The group stood back to back. Their Digimon held off wave after wave of Coelamon. But, they were getting tired, even with the cards that replenished their health and stamina. One of the Coelamon managed to jump on Guilmon's back. He cried out for help, but the others were busy. Zipp growled in anger before running over to Guilmon.
She shouted as she jumped into the air. “Get off him!” She hit the Coelamon with enough force to send it flying back. It yelled as it collided with another.
Guilmon thanked her. “Thanks.” She nodded just as another Coelamon lunged at her. He shouted. “Look out!”
Guilmon shoved her out of the way just as Coelamon yelled. “Fossil Bite!”
Zipp watched as the Coelamon's talons stabbed deep into his chest. She was shocked for a moment until she screamed. “Guilmon!”
Her Digivice glowed, and he was surrounded by Digital code. He shouted. “Guilmon Digivolve to!” He grew taller, and two blades appeared out of his arms. Spiked hair grew out of his head as he cleared the field. Not only was he taller, but he was also stronger. He shouted. “Growlmon!”
Growlmon roared as he grabbed the Coelamon that had stabbed him and threw him off. The others had stopped fighting out of shock from his sudden change. Zipp stared at her partner as he turned around and looked at her. They stared at each other for a moment before turning back around. He shouted. “Howling!” His voice echoed loudly through the area. The Coelamon stopped approaching and stood completely still. Each of them looked at him in fear just as he shouted. “Pyro Blaster!” he launched a massive torrent of flame at them.
Some Coelamon were thrown back from the impact of the attack. At the same time, others jumped out of the way. Another voice shouted. “Venom Cannon!”
Green liquid collided with the flame, causing a massive explosion. Smoke covered the area as the blast's shock wave passed around the groups. When the smoke cleared, the Digi-Destined could see who had just joined the fight. It was the Coelamon's leader, Snakehydramon. The champion level Digimon was a three-headed snake virus type. His scales were as thick as armor, and his attacks were his powerful Venom Cannon and his Snake Tail attack.
Growlmon growled at him as he heard him say. “Snake Tail!”
The ground suddenly shook underneath him, causing him to lose his balance just as a large tail erupted from the ground. He yelled as he was suddenly sent flying. Labramon and Betamon tried to help. But, the Coelamon kept them from getting closer. Zipp shouted, “Growlmon!” She opened her card pool and quickly selected a card. She aimed her Digivice at him while shouting. “Data Upload!” The beam shot out as she finished. “Explosive Dude Joe Armor!”
Growlmon felt the energy surround him; armor appeared on his body. His right arm had become a large energy cannon. While in his left hand, a giant shuriken appeared. On his face, a set of goggles appeared. He righted himself in the air as his goggles zeroed in on his target. He aimed his hand cannon at Snakehydramon.
Snakehydramon began to shout. “Venom!”
Growlmon beat him to the draw as he shouted. “Pyro Cannon!” His hand cannon glowed brightly before it shot a small ball of energy. At first, it looked like it would do minor damage. That was until it struck the left head and exploded. The explosion not only severed the head. But, the attack that had been charging in it was still going. The head fell backward, launching the attack as it did. But, the attack struck the right head. The venom burned through its flesh and melted the head off its body. The middle head looked up in horror as Growlmon shouted. “Ripping Shuriken!” The shuriken revved like a chainsaw in his hand before he threw it. A long energy rope was connected to it. The throwing star circled the middle head. Tying the rope around it tight. Growlmon then landed on the ground and pulled. Snakehydramon shouted as its final head severed from its body. But, the attack was not finished. Before the head was entirely severed, the shuriken exploded. Snakehydramon's body then disappeared in a cloud of digital code.
The Coelamon looked at Growlmon in terror. He aimed his arm cannon at them as he threatened. “You're next.”
